  • Oct 25, 2026Starman versions before 0.4019 for Perl allow a stalled request body to hold a worker indefinitely, as read_timeout covers only the headers.CVE-2026-115817 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e

Starman versions before 0.4019 for Perl allow a stalled request body to hold a worker indefinitely, as read_timeout covers only the headers. Content-Length and chunked request bodies are read with blocking reads and no deadline. A client that sends complete headers and then stalls or trickles the body keeps the worker waiting until it disconnects. A remote attacker can take every worker with a few such connections, five with the default worker count, so the server stops answering requests. Version 0.4019 applies read_timeout to each wait for body data and adds a body_timeout limit, 300 seconds by default, on the total time to read a body.

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in chained work check current_wq_worker() only tellsCVE-2026-99058 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in chained work check current_wq_worker() only tells us that %current is a kworker. It does not guarantee that the worker is currently executing a work item, as worker->current_pwq is populated only while process_one_work() is running the work function. is_chained_work() can be reached while queueing on a draining or destroying workqueue. If a kworker outside work-item execution reaches that path, current_wq_worker() returns a worker but worker->current_pwq is NULL, and the chained-work test can fault before it emits the intended warning. Guard the chained-work test with worker->current_pwq. A kworker without current_pwq is not executing work on the target workqueue, so the helper should return false and let the draining/destroying warning fire.

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: mpsse: fix race when arming the IRQ poll worker gpio_mpsse_irq_enable() arms the polCVE-2026-99050 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: mpsse: fix race when arming the IRQ poll worker gpio_mpsse_irq_enable() arms the poll worker before publishing it: schedule_work() runs before the worker is added to priv->workers. If gpio_mpsse_disconnect() walks the list in that window it misses the worker, and once disconnect returns, the USB core frees mpsse_priv while the orphaned gpio_mpsse_poll() work keeps accessing it, causing a use-after-free. Fix this by publishing and arming the worker in one irq_spin critical section. Teardown walks the same list under irq_spin, so a worker found on the list is guaranteed to be armed, and cancel_work_sync() handles it whether it is queued or running. A worker armed after the disconnect walk would still be missed, so also set a new priv->dying flag under irq_spin before the teardown walk, and check it in the same critical section, freeing it via kfree_rcu() instead when the device is going away, since kfree() would be called with the IRQ core's raw spinlock held and may sleep on PREEMPT_RT. schedule_work() is safe to call with irq_spin held, and the next probe gets a fresh mpsse_priv, so the flag never needs t

  • Oct 21, 2026HAProxy 3 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (persistent worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via an HTTP/1.1 chunked rCVE-2026-110354 · Other software · HAProxy · reported by MITREHigh 7.5

HAProxy 3 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (persistent worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via an HTTP/1.1 chunked request. Although the H1 multiplexer drains the request before closing the stream, the parser repeatedly re-processes the same bytes without making progress. The affected thread stays busy at 100% CPU after timeouts expire and after the client disconnects, and repeated requests can consume all worker threads until the process is restarted.

  • Oct 21, 2026HAProxy 3.2 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via a truncated HTTP/2 PING frame.CVE-2026-110353 · Other software · HAProxy · reported by MITREHigh 7.5

HAProxy 3.2 before 3.4.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (worker-thread CPU exhaustion) via a truncated HTTP/2 PING frame. h2c_handle_ping in src/mux_h2.c does not check for a short read, unlike the other H2 frame handlers. Because the incomplete frame cannot be processed, its data is never consumed, and the H2 multiplexer tasklet is repeatedly woken by that pending data without making progress. The CPU spins until timeout http-request closes the connection, and an attacker opening many such connections can sustain high CPU usage.

The Pulsar Functions worker REST API provides two endpoints that return the catalog of Pulsar IO connectors installed on the functions worker: the worker connectors endpoint (/admin/v2/worker/connectors) and the deprecated functions connectors endpoint (/admin/v2/functions/connectors and /admin/v3/functions/connectors). When authorization is enabled, the worker connectors endpoint requires super-user access. The functions connectors endpoint, served both by the functions worker and by a broker running the functions worker, returns the same catalog without this check. As a result, when authentication and authorization are enabled, any authenticated client can read the connector catalog through the functions connectors endpoint, regardless of the permissions granted to its role and without super-user access. Unauthenticated requests are rejected unless anonymous access is configured with an anonymous user role. The catalog contains the connector type definitions installed in the functions worker's connectors directory: the connector name, its description, and the source, sink and configuration class names. It does not contain configured source or sink instances, their configuration

  • Oct 21, 2026The Pulsar Functions Worker provides a REST API endpoint for triggering a function, which publishes a caller-supplied value to one of the function's configured CVE-2026-105935 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.9

The Pulsar Functions Worker provides a REST API endpoint for triggering a function, which publishes a caller-supplied value to one of the function's configured input topics. The Functions Worker performs this publish with its own broker client, which authenticates with the Worker's configured broker-client credentials rather than the credentials of the API caller. When authorization is enabled, in Apache Pulsar 2.4.0 and later versions, the trigger endpoint checks only that the caller is authorized to perform function operations in the function's namespace. It does not check that the caller is authorized to produce to the input topic that the message is published to. Versions before 2.4.0 do not perform a caller authorization check for the trigger endpoint at all. Function input topics are not restricted to the function's own tenant or namespace, and registering a function does not require produce permission on its input topics. As a result, an authenticated user who is authorized to manage functions in a namespace, for example a role granted the functions permission on that namespace, can cause the Functions Worker to publish messages with caller-controlled content to a topic th

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix inquiry cache use-after-free The sync command worker holds hdev->req_lock, but inquiry-cache updates and flushes use hdev->lock. Both hci_acl_create_conn_sync() and hci_stop_discovery_sync() look up entries and read their fields without taking hdev->lock. After either lookup returns, a concurrent HCIINQUIRY ioctl can acquire hdev->lock and flush the cache, freeing the entry. If it is preempted after publishing HW_DEAD, the RCU callback can free the flow before the worker resumes and clears HW_PENDING, resulting in a use-after-free. Move HW_DEAD publication to the common worker epilogue after the pending bit is cleared, making it the final flow access by destroy work. A single unauthenticated ZMQ DEALER message to the transport port (default 5555) therefore executes code as the user the LMCache process runs as. Official container images run that process as root. The transport binds to localhost unless the operator sets a routable address with --host, which is how multi-node deployments let peers connect. The decode path shipped in v0.3.9 and is present through v0.5.5, including the v0.5.6 release candidates. v0.5.6, published on 2026-10-14, removes pickle.loads from this path.

  • Oct 2, 2026Tinypool is a minimal Node.js worker thread pool implementation.CVE-2026-104849 · Other software · tinylibs · reported by GitHubCritical 9.5

Tinypool is a minimal Node.js worker thread pool implementation. Prior to 2.1.2, Tinypool reads filename from a caller-supplied options object in pool.run(task, options) without requiring an own property, so a polluted Object.prototype.filename can replace the intended worker module. Applications are affected only when they pass their own second-argument options object to pool.run(); calls without that argument use the trusted default options object. An attacker who can first pollute the prototype can cause the worker pool to load attacker-selected JavaScript and can read or modify task data with the host process's privileges. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.2.

Tinypool is a minimal Node.js worker thread pool implementation. Prior to 2.1.1, Tinypool constructs ThreadPool.options from a normal options object and reads the execArgv and env worker options in dist/index.js, allowing values inherited from a polluted Object.prototype to be copied into own properties and passed to worker_threads.Worker. An attacker who can first pollute either property can cause each newly spawned worker to load attacker-selected JavaScript through command-line preload arguments or NODE_OPTIONS, resulting in code execution with the host process's privileges and possible access to CI secrets, signing material, or build artifacts. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.1.

  • Sep 30, 2026piscina is a node.js worker pool implementation.CVE-2026-102992 · Other software · piscinajs · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

piscina is a node.js worker pool implementation. Prior to 4.9.4, 5.3.2, and 6.0.0-rc.5, Piscina stores ThreadPool.options in src/index.ts as a plain object that inherits from Object.prototype. Applications with a separate prototype-pollution primitive can therefore supply inherited values for security-sensitive options that do not have own defaults. An inherited execArgv value is passed to the Node.js Worker constructor and can preload attacker-controlled code in worker threads, an inherited loadBalancer function can execute during task scheduling, and inherited env values can alter worker environments. This issue is fixed in versions 4.9.4, 5.3.2, and 6.0.0-rc.5.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/qaic: Address potential out-of-bounds read in resp_worker() Although 'commit 2feec5ae5df7 ("accel/qaic: Handle DBC deactivation if the owner went away")' fixes the scenario it was intended for by walking the message and only decoding QAIC_TRANS_DEACTIVATE_FROM_DEV, if present, it skipped over the bounds checking code that is included in decode_message(). This could lead to issues such as reading past the slab allocation's end, infinite loops or kernel panics. For those issues to happen, a malformed wire message is needed to be sent from the device. Instead of duplicating the bounds checking code already present in decode_message(), use the function inside resp_worker().

Temporal Server compiles a Worker Controller Instance module into its Worker Service, and that module registers a compute provider named subprocess whose function is to launch a worker by running a command on the machine hosting the Worker Service. The program name and the argument vector that provider executes are taken from the compute provider configuration supplied in the caller's request rather than from operator configuration. An authenticated caller holding only a write role in a single namespace can therefore configure a worker deployment version so that the Worker Service executes a command of the caller's choosing on its own host, under the account the server process runs as. Execution is immediate rather than deferred: the configuration handler invokes every provider using the invoke strategy directly after validating the submitted specification, so no scaling decision, task arrival, or unusual request sequence is required. Because the Worker Service process holds the persistence credentials for every namespace in the cluster and the cluster's TLS material, the consequence reaches beyond the caller's namespace to the cluster as a whole. The provider is present in the off

  • Sep 18, 2026ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 (com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine <= 26.8.1) fails to bind the authenticated principal onto the DatabaseAsyncTransaction async worker threadsCVE-2026-93596 · Other software · ArcadeData · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

ArcadeDB before 26.9.1 (com.arcadedb:arcadedb-engine <= 26.8.1) fails to bind the authenticated principal onto the DatabaseAsyncTransaction async worker threads used by the parallel edge-connect phase of POST /api/v1/batch/{database}. Because those workers have no current user, LocalDatabase.checkPermissionsOnFile returns early and allows the write, bypassing per-type CREATE_RECORD/UPDATE_RECORD ACL enforcement. In deployments that rely on per-type or per-group ACLs, an authenticated low-privilege user holding CREATE_RECORD on an edge type E but with CREATE_RECORD/UPDATE_RECORD revoked on a vertex type V can submit a graph edge-load batch request (with parallelFlush at its default value of true) and durably append edges to protected vertices of type V by writing records into V's <V>_out_edges/<V>_in_edges buckets, resulting in unauthorized modification of graph adjacency. Setting parallelFlush=false causes the request to be correctly rejected. This is an incomplete fix of GHSA-c23x-pqcj-7hfm, which bound the principal only on the HTTP handler thread.
