  • Oct 29, 2026Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases.CVE-2026-119282 · Other software · nrwl · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases. From 22.0.2 until 22.7.9 and 23.1.2 for @nx/maven, and from 21.0.0 until 22.7.9 and 23.1.2 for @nx/gradle, the plugins' project-graph analyzers launch through a shell and interpolate plugin options from nx.json into command arguments. The @nx/maven targetNamePrefix value and arbitrary @nx/gradle option names or values can therefore be interpreted as shell syntax whenever an nx command constructs the project graph. A user who runs Nx in an attacker-controlled repository or pull request can execute injected commands with the user's privileges, while workspaces that register neither affected plugin are not exposed to this path. Remediation requires upgrading both nx and each affected plugin to matching releases because the plugin fix depends on code in the nx package. This issue is fixed in versions 22.7.9 and 23.1.2.

  • Oct 28, 2026USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives.CVE-2026-116776 · Other software · n-romanovich · reported by GitHubHigh 7

USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives. Prior to version 1.1.5, getSectorSize() in USB Test/src/driveinfo.cpp trusts DISK_GEOMETRY.BytesPerSector returned by IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY without checking whether the call succeeded or enforcing size bounds. USB Test/src/drivetest.cpp uses the value for division and to size a heap buffer before memcpy(buffer.data(), &sector, 8), so a physically connected malicious USB storage device can report a value below eight bytes and cause repeated out-of-bounds writes, or report zero and cause a divide-by-zero denial of service when a user starts a drive test. The heap corruption can crash the elevated application and may permit arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.5.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/core: Call wakeup_preempt() for queued tasks during class change Paul reported recent RCU changes exposed a lost resched where CPU idles with a rcutorture thread waiting while being completely runnable. Dumping the rq state at the time of idling with runnable tasks showed the following: rq->next_class = &fair_sched_class rq->nr_running = 1 rq->cfs.h_nr_queued = 0 rq->rt.rt_nr_running = 1 Although the waiting task was an RT task, "rq->next_class" did not point to rt_sched_class and was stuck at the lower priority fair_sched_class. Inspecting sched_change_end() revealed the following race with __sched_setscheduler() for queued, but non-running tasks: CPU0 CPU1 ==== ==== __schedule() /* * rq->donor is a fair task that blocks. * rq->next_class = &fair_sched_class */ rq_lock(rq0) pick_next_task() /* nr_running = 0 */ pick_task_fair() sched_balance_newidle() raw_spin_rq_unlock(rq0) rq_lock(rq0)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix capability check in xfs An user reported a bug where he managed to evade group's quota by changing a file's gid to a different group id the same user belonged to, even though quotas were enforced on both gids and the file's size was big enough to exceed the quota's hardlimit. Commit eba0549bc7d1 replaced a capable() call by a has_capability_noaudit() to prevent unnecessary selinux audit messages. Turns out that both calls have slightly different semantics even though their documentation seems similar. Where in a nutshell: capable() - Tests the task's effective credentials has_ns_capability_noaudit() - Tests the task's real credentials This most of the time has no practical difference but in some cases like changing attrs (specifically group id in this case) through a NFS client this will allow the quota code to use XFS_QMOPT_FORCE_RES, effectively bypassing quota accounting checks. Using instead ns_capable_noaudit() should fix this issue and prevent selinux audit messages. This also fix the remaining calls to has_capability_noaudit()

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/pci: Fix leak of uninitialized kernel data in SCLP report While report_error_write() CVE-2026-99124 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/pci: Fix leak of uninitialized kernel data in SCLP report While report_error_write() checks that the provided buffer is at least as large as the header struct, but not that it is large enough to contain the report with the length claimed by report->length. If user-space provides a short buffer, meaning a larger report->length than the actually written payload, up to around 4K of kernel data from past the kmalloc(len + 1) sized buffer allocated in kernfs_fop_write_iter() will leak into the SCLP report. However, as the entity processing the SCLP is privileged and able to access at least the page including the report, this does not leak data that entity could not access but it is still an out of bounds read and a malformed error report that should be rejected.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fill in FileSysIdentifier in FS_POSIX_INFORMATION smb2_get_info_filesystem() reportCVE-2026-99115 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fill in FileSysIdentifier in FS_POSIX_INFORMATION smb2_get_info_filesystem() reports 56 bytes for FS_POSIX_INFORMATION, that is the whole of FILE_SYSTEM_POSIX_INFO, but never assigns FileSysIdentifier. Those eight bytes go to the client as they are found in the response buffer. The buffer is zeroed on allocation, so a standalone request leaks nothing. A compound request can leak: the offset of the next response is advanced by the length pinned for the previous one, so a reply that was written into the buffer and then dropped in favour of the short error response of smb2_set_err_rsp() stays there, and the next reply is laid over it with only the header cleared. Report the file system id statfs() returned, which is what the field is for. FileSysIdentifier is __le64 and f_fsid is a pair of ints, so assemble the value first, val[0] as the low half, and convert it on the way out.

  • Oct 27, 2026Knative pkg provides common packages shared across Knative repositories.CVE-2026-54462 · Other software · knative · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Knative pkg provides common packages shared across Knative repositories. Prior to 0.0.0-20260531000007-52dbd5ece63f, the knative.dev/pkg/webhook admissionHandler in webhook/admission.go decodes an attacker-supplied AdmissionReview through json.NewDecoder(io.TeeReader(r.Body, &bodyBuffer)) under an http.HandlerFunc without an http.MaxBytesReader or equivalent body-size limit. A pod-network client can send one oversized POST to an admission webhook, causing the decoder and bodyBuffer to retain amplified copies of the request until the controller pod exhausts memory and is OOM-killed. Every downstream consumer using the shared webhook server inherits the vulnerable behavior, including Knative, Tekton, KEDA, Sigstore policy-controller, and Kpack. For consumers configured with failurePolicy=Fail, loss of the controller can interrupt admission; with failurePolicy=Ignore, the affected webhook is unavailable while other admissions continue. This issue is fixed in version 0.0.0-20260531000007-52dbd5ece63f.

In commits 85748ad2368a and prior, two React components render externally-sourced strings directly as HTML using dangerouslySetInnerHTML, with no sanitization (the project has no DOMPurify or equivalent dependency). JSON files are produced automatically by the conda-forge autotick bot (regro/cf-scripts) while it processes every conda-forge feedstock and its upstream source artifacts. The error/status strings embed raw output captured from those processes (build logs, patch output, tracebacks). The website renders them verbatim as HTML. Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in the cart and wishlist repositories of MarcosCamara01 Ecommerce Template allows any authenticated user to delete and modify the cart and wishlist rows of any other user, because cartRepository.delete(), cartRepository.updateQuantityInternal() and wishlistRepository.delete() in src/lib/db/drizzle/repositories/ match rows by primary key alone, with no predicate on the owning user, and the per user authorization for those three operations rests on PostgreSQL row level security. The migrations run ALTER TABLE ... ENABLE ROW LEVEL SECURITY and create policies comparing app.current_user_id() with user_id, but never ALTER TABLE ... FORCE ROW LEVEL SECURITY, and PostgreSQL does not apply policies to the role that owns a table. The template uses one DATABASE_URL both to run the migrations, which create the tables, and for the application at runtime, so the application connects as the owner of the tables and the policies do not apply to it. cart_items.id and wishlist.id are sequential bigserial values, so the identifiers of rows belonging to other users can be enumerated, and the update path returns the modified row, which carries

Out-of-bounds read and write in the Count-Min sketch deserialization of Apache DataSketches C++ (repo: datasketches-cpp). count_min_sketch::deserialize() did not include the preamble in its input size check, so a truncated sketch could cause a read of up to 16 bytes past the end of the input. In addition, the table size was computed from the serialized number of buckets and number of hash functions in 32-bit arithmetic. A crafted sketch could make it wrap to zero, so that the sketch deserialized with an empty table, and later updates and estimate queries read and wrote outside the heap allocation. This can corrupt heap memory, causing a crash and potentially enabling further exploitation. This issue affects Apache DataSketches C++: from 4.1.0 before 5.3.0. Only applications that deserialize Count-Min sketches from untrusted sources are affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.3.0, which fixes this issue.

Robots::Validate versions from 0.4.3 before 0.4.10 for Perl report clients as imposter robots when User-Agent matcher state carries over from a previous request. Each Robots::Validate object holds one pure-Perl Aho-Corasick search machine and feeds every User-Agent into it without resetting its state. A User-Agent that ends part-way through a robot name leaves the machine mid-match, so the next User-Agent checked by the same object can complete that name. That client's address is then checked against the robot's DNS rule, which it fails. A remote client can use this to make a site that blocks bad robots block other visitors where the prefix User-Agent string is a suffix of a robot being validated. Note that deployments with Algorithm::AhoCorasick::XS are also affected, since it was unused due to a different bug.

  • Oct 21, 2026GitPython is a python library used to interact with Git repositories.CVE-2026-114145 · Other software · gitpython-developers · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

GitPython is a python library used to interact with Git repositories. Prior to 3.2.1, create_submodule() in git/objects/submodule/base.py accepts an attacker-influenced submodule path such as .git/hooks and invokes _clone_repo() before safely rejecting the destination. In 3.1.x, _validate_repo_path() does not exist and the call succeeds silently, while in 3.2.0 and later affected revisions the check in git/index/base.py raises ValueError only after the clone has written to disk and does not remove the planted file. An attacker-controlled submodule can therefore place an executable post-checkout hook that a later Git operation executes. Exploitation requires an application to accept an untrusted submodule path and a clone destination such as .git/hooks that is empty enough for Git to clone into it, which commonly means that default sample hooks are absent. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.1.

According to BPF semantics, operation `w1 += 1` is supposed to zero extend the upper half of the register `r1`. On s390 the JIT relies on the verifier emitting explicit zero extension before such operations. The verifier attempts to minimize the amount of zero extensions inserted by tracking whether upper halves of the 64-bit registers are ever used. Previously such tracking worked as follows: - bpf_reg_state->subreg_def field was set by do_check_insn() for each operation defining lower but not the upper halves of the register. - Whenever an operation reading the whole register was verified, the verifier checked register's subreg_def and set bpf_insn_aux_data->zext_dst flag as true via a call to mark_insn_zext() function. - After the verification was complete, a special pass bpf_opt_subreg_zext_lo32_rnd_hi32() extended 32-bit operations with bpf_insn_

Vyper before 0.2.9 deploys forwarder proxies through the built-in create_forwarder_to function that report a fixed 4096-byte RETURNDATASIZE rather than the actual return data size. Calls through these proxies can yield corrupted data when a function returns more than 4096 bytes without return data sanitation, and fail strict return-size checks such as SafeERC20.safeTransfer.

A HID report descriptor is a sequence of items, each declaring in its header how many data bytes follow. The USBX host walks that sequence by advancing over each header and parsing the data behind it. The walk checked that an item fitted in the descriptor only **after** it had advanced past the header and parsed the payload, and the item analysis it relied on never measured the declared sizes against the bytes actually received. A HID peripheral returning a short report descriptor therefore drove a heap out-of-bounds read during ordinary enumeration.
