  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: hdmi: Move packet RAM enable to PM runtime Audio can be triggered by the HPD handCVE-2026-99214 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: hdmi: Move packet RAM enable to PM runtime Audio can be triggered by the HPD handler and start up before video has been restored, calling vc4_hdmi_write_infoframe() for the audio infoframe. vc4_hdmi_write_infoframe() needs Packet RAM to be on to store the infoframe, however, if the video hasn't been enabled, vc4_hdmi_encoder_post_crtc_enable() hasn't been called and therefore, the Packet RAM can be disabled by the time vc4_hdmi_write_infoframe() executes, causing the following splat: [ 201.570266] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 201.570293] Packet RAM has to be on to store the packet. • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethoc: move setting of netops to fix crash ethoc_probe() calls ethoc_mdio_probe(), whCVE-2026-99195 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethoc: move setting of netops to fix crash ethoc_probe() calls ethoc_mdio_probe(), which connects the PHY, before netdev->netdev_ops is assigned. phy_attach_direct() -> phy_link_topo_add_phy() reads dev->netdev_ops through netdev_need_ops_lock() since the commit in question, so probing crashes with a NULL pointer dereference when CONFIG_NET_SHAPER is enabled. Assign netdev_ops before the PHY attach, as was done for emac in commit 7c9f391ec89c ("net: emac: move setting of netops to fix crash").

  • Oct 26, 2026In the Bluetooth Classic Hands-Free Profile Audio Gateway role, hfp_ag_create() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/hfp_ag.c starts an SDP discovery toward the peeCVE-2026-82389 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5

In the Bluetooth Classic Hands-Free Profile Audio Gateway role, hfp_ag_create() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/hfp_ag.c starts an SDP discovery toward the peer, which links the embedded ag->sdp_param._node into the SDP client's pending request list in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/sdp.c. If the subsequent bt_rfcomm_dlc_connect() call fails, bt_hfp_ag_connect() cleaned up by memset()-ing the entire AG object while that node was still linked, and while ag->slc_work could still be queued on the system work queue. An in-flight SDP discovery cannot be cancelled — bt_sdp_discover_cancel() is declared in the public header but has no implementation — so the request stays in the list with its func, pool and uuid pointers zeroed. The RFCOMM channel passed to bt_hfp_ag_connect() is taken from the peer's own SDP Hands-Free service record in the normal AG flow (bt_sdp_get_proto_param() performs no range validation, and samples/bluetooth/classic/handsfree_ag feeds the value straight through), so a remote BR/EDR device in radio range that advertises an RFCOMM channel outside the valid range 0x01..0x1e deterministically forces bt_rfcomm_dlc_connect() to fail and reach the wipe. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tg3: clean up PHYLIB resources on probe failure tg3_get_invariants() can register an MDIO bus and connect a PHY for USE_PHYLIB devices. If tg3_init_one() later fails, its common error path releases the mappings and netdev without undoing those PHYLIB resources. Disconnect the PHY and unregister the MDIO bus before the remaining teardown. Guard PHY cleanup with USE_PHYLIB to match tg3_phy_init(), and call tg3_mdio_fini() unconditionally to match tg3_mdio_init(). The existing IS_CONNECTED and MDIOBUS_INITED flags make both helpers safe when initialization only completed partially. This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while reviewing kernel code.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: mt7530: leave the MDIO IRQ mappings to regmap-irq mt7530_remove_common() disposeCVE-2026-98564 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dsa: mt7530: leave the MDIO IRQ mappings to regmap-irq mt7530_remove_common() disposes the per-PHY interrupt mappings from .remove, but the regmap-irq chip that owns the domain is devm-registered, so its parent interrupt is only freed once .remove has returned. The switch's own regmap-irq thread can therefore still dispatch on a mapping that is already gone: irq_find_mapping() returns 0, irq_to_desc() returns NULL and handle_nested_irq() locks desc->lock without checking it. The attached PHYs have not given those interrupts back yet either, which the kernel warns about a moment before the fault. regmap_del_irq_chip() disposes the same mappings itself, after freeing the parent interrupt and before removing the domain, so there is nothing left for the driver to do here. Until it runs the descriptors stay alive, and a late dispatch on one of them is harmless: dsa_unregister_switch() has freed the PHY handlers by then, so handle_nested_irq() finds no action and returns.

tinytag is a Python library for reading audio file metadata. From 2.0.0 until 2.3.0, an M4A file containing a sub-atom with a size of zero inside a ---- atom can cause the metadata parser to stop advancing through the input. The custom-field atom traversal repeatedly processes the malformed location, causing an infinite loop and denying service to a program that reads the crafted file. This issue is fixed in version 2.3.0.

A zero-length entry caused an out-of-bounds read or write during DMA transfer processing. BDL fields were also subject to modification by the guest after validation. • Oct 15, 2026When an audio channel's buffer needs to be resized, the sound(4) driver checks that the buffer is not memory-mapped and then drops the channel lock to allocate CVE-2026-101308 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgMedium 5.5

When an audio channel's buffer needs to be resized, the sound(4) driver checks that the buffer is not memory-mapped and then drops the channel lock to allocate a new buffer. An mmap(2) call on another thread can complete during this window, after which the resize path frees the now-mapped buffer without rechecking. An unprivileged local user with access to a sound device can exploit this race to trigger a use-after-free in the kernel, potentially escalating privileges.

Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
