Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: refuse an automount below a mount that is in no namespace It's possible to add CVE-2026-98979 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: refuse an automount below a mount that is in no namespace It's possible to add autmounts even when the parent mount isn't in the mount namespace of the caller. The only requirement we have is that the parent mount namespace must not be NULL, i.e., unmounted. Problem is that clone_private_mount() has MNT_NS_INTERNAL which makes that trivially true. So that passes the test and attach_recursive_mnt() accepts that as a mount point and funny enough, count_mounts() dereferences MNT_NS_INTERNAL. The problem is it is an error pointer... So we can reach this in userspace via fanotify. A filesystem mark on the lower filesystem of an overlay reports paths on the layer clone and reading the event hands out a descriptor on it. For example with debugfs as the lower layer it goes kaboom: openat(evfd, "tracing", O_DIRECTORY) Oops: general protection fault KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x1d0-0x1d7] RIP: 0010:count_mounts+0x35/0x200 attach_recursive_mnt finish_automount And since that sleeping beauty happens under namespace_sem held for writing every mount operation on the system blocks from then on

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an unauthenticated user with access to encrypted credential data from an affected Splunk SOAR instance could submit Basic aCVE-2026-76406 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 5.9
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an unauthenticated user with access to encrypted credential data from an affected Splunk SOAR instance could submit Basic authentication data to the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to expose and decrypt that encrypted credential data. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR decrypts encrypted Basic authentication values before completing authentication checks. The attack requires the unauthenticated user to have encrypted credential data from an affected Splunk SOAR instance. The unauthenticated user should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.5.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user could change the Enterprise Security edition through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API aCVE-2026-76308 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 6.5
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user could change the Enterprise Security edition through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API and cause Splunk SOAR to apply the license change. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR authenticates requests to manage the Enterprise Security edition but does not authorize the caller before it applies the license change. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.7.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Obtain and configure a Splunk SOAR (On-premises) license (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.7.0/configure-your-companys-settings-in-splunk-soar-on-premises/obtain-and-configure-a-splunk-soar-on-premises-license), and Integration of Splunk SOAR with Splunk Enterprise Security (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise-security-8/administer/8.7/automation-with-playbooks/integration-of-splunk-soar-with-splunk-enterprise-security) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the Users and Roles view permission could use the Representational State Transfer (REST) API CVE-2026-76307 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comHigh 7.2
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the Users and Roles view permission could use the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to infer authentication token values for other users. If the inferred token grants administrative access, that user could gain administrative access to the Splunk SOAR instance. The vulnerability is possible because the REST API accepts caller-controlled query filters on sensitive user record fields. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/7.1.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Query for Data (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/7.1.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/query-for-data), and Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/6.4.0/manage-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that has the "Observer" role could use query filters in the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to infer password hashes and authorization tokens for other users. The information disclosure is possible because Splunk SOAR applies REST API query filters to user records before it protects sensitive fields from query processing. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.5.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Query for Data (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/7.1.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/query-for-data), and Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.5.0/manage-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to view apps could download an archive of an installed app.CVE-2026-76305 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 6.5
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to view apps could download an archive of an installed app. This could expose all data in the app archive, including proprietary source code and sensitive information. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR does not verify permission to view apps before it returns the app archive. For more information see Export or import an app (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/develop-apps/8.4.0/develop-an-app-using-the-splunk-soar-app-wizard/export-or-import-an-app) and Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.5.0/manage-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to edit Automation Brokers could download the Splunk SOAR AuCVE-2026-76304 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 4.3
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to edit Automation Brokers could download the Splunk SOAR Automation Broker Docker Compose configuration file. The file contains the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the Splunk SOAR instance, the container image location, and the Splunk SOAR Automation Broker version. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR returns the configuration file without enforcing the Automation Broker edit permission. Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the install_apps capability could store attacker-controlled content that Splunk SOAR displaysCVE-2026-76303 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 5.7
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the install_apps capability could store attacker-controlled content that Splunk SOAR displays in app documentation by installing an app. If another user who holds a role with permission to view apps opens the app documentation, Splunk SOAR could run that content in the browser of the user who opened the app documentation. With this access, the first user could access data and make changes that the user who opened the app documentation could make. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR does not sanitize app documentation content before it displays that content. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user that holds a role with the install_apps capability should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. Oct 21, 2026In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4 and 10.2.8, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could derive the PostgreSQL sidecar databaseCVE-2026-76298 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comHigh 8.8
In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4 and 10.2.8, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could derive the PostgreSQL sidecar database superuser password and run arbitrary operating system commands as the user account running Splunk Enterprise on search head cluster members. The vulnerability is possible because the PostgreSQL sidecar service derives a privileged database password from the search head cluster identifier that appears in search job logs. For more information see About configuring role-based user access (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.2/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/about-configuring-role-based-user-access), server.conf (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/admin-manual/10.2/configuration-file-reference/10.2.0-configuration-file-reference/server.conf), and Sidecar configuration settings (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/admin-manual/10.4/splunk-sidecars/sidecar-configuration-settings) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, 10.2.8, 10.0.11, and 9.4.16, an unauthenticated user could trick a user that holds a role with the edit_federated_prCVE-2026-76297 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 4.2
In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, 10.2.8, 10.0.11, and 9.4.16, an unauthenticated user could trick a user that holds a role with the edit_federated_providers capability into turning off all federated search providers. Successful exploitation could temporarily prevent federated searches from retrieving data from remote datasets. The vulnerability is possible because the federated provider Representational State Transfer (REST) API accepts GET requests for actions that change provider state. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The unauthenticated user should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: xps: reject an out of range traffic class Only the entries below dev->num_tc are valiCVE-2026-98567 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: xps: reject an out of range traffic class Only the entries below dev->num_tc are valid in dev->tc_to_txq[], and dev->prio_tc_map[] may only name classes below it. netdev_set_num_tc() lowers dev->num_tc without touching either array. netdev_txq_to_tc() walks all TC_MAX_QUEUE slots and netdev_get_prio_tc_map() returns the entry as it stands, so a leftover entry is handed out as a traffic class >= dev->num_tc. Taking that class from netdev_txq_to_tc(), __netif_set_xps_queue() rejects only a negative one and indexes an XPS map sized for dev->num_tc classes: tci = j * num_tc + tc; RCU_INIT_POINTER(new_dev_maps->attr_map[tci], map); attr_map[] holds nr_ids * num_tc entries and j runs over the ids named in the mask, so a class that is not below num_tc pushes tci past the end of the map for the last ids and the store overruns it. Any caller that lowers num_tc leaves such entries behind, and mqprio_destroy() tears down with netdev_set_num_tc(dev, 0) rather than netdev_reset_tc(). After mqprio with 8 classes then 1, tc_to_txq[1..7] still describe txq 1..7. The splat is from an XPS write to txq 2 on a veth with 8

In Splunk MCP Server versions below 1.2.1, Splunk MCP Server could send the Splunk platform authentication token of a user who runs a custom Application Programming Interface (API) tool to the URL configured for that tool. If another user controls that URL, they could capture the token and use it to access data and perform actions as the user who ran the tool. Successful exploitation requires a user who holds a role that contains the mcp_tool_execute capability to run a custom API tool configured by another user. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
