  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: calipso: keep BIG TCP payload_len in calipso_skbuff_setattr() calipso_skbuff_setattr() adjCVE-2026-99191 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: calipso: keep BIG TCP payload_len in calipso_skbuff_setattr() calipso_skbuff_setattr() adjusts payload_len by the length of the option it inserts or resizes: payload = ntohs(ip6_hdr->payload_len); ip6_hdr->payload_len = htons(payload + len_delta); GRO can build BIG TCP packets larger than IPV6_MAXPLEN, and stores payload_len == 0 for them; ipv6_payload_len() then falls back to skb->len. For such a packet forwarded to a destination mapped to CALIPSO, the code above writes len_delta (or 65536 + len_delta when shrinking) into payload_len, and ipv6_payload_len() no longer falls back to skb->len. nf_tables, conntrack and sch_cake rely on it. The same arithmetic also wraps when a packet grows past IPV6_MAXPLEN, and a BIG TCP packet that shrinks below IPV6_MAXPLEN should get its real length back. Set payload_len from the skb length with ipv6_set_payload_len(), which stores 0 above IPV6_MAXPLEN and the real length otherwise, as ipv6_gro_complete() does. The network header was just reset to skb->data, so skb->len - sizeof(*ip6_hdr) is the payload length. Tested on one kernel (arm64, QEMU) with SELinux permissive

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix incorrect MFT record pointer passed to ntfs_attr_record_resize ntfs_new_attr_flaCVE-2026-99107 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix incorrect MFT record pointer passed to ntfs_attr_record_resize ntfs_new_attr_flags() passes the wrong MFT record to ntfs_attr_record_resize(). When the attribute is in an extent record, ctx->mrec points to the extent but the function receives the base record pointer m, causing incorrect size calculations in memmove. Fix by passing ctx->mrec (the actual MFT record containing the attribute) instead of m (the base MFT record) to ntfs_attr_record_resize().

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: take invalidate_lock in ntfs_setattr_size() ntfs_setattr_size() updates i_size and rCVE-2026-99102 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: take invalidate_lock in ntfs_setattr_size() ntfs_setattr_size() updates i_size and resizes the on-disk attribute without holding mapping->invalidate_lock. Page faults take the lock shared, so a fault racing the resize can resolve a VCN against the transient runlist state of ntfs_non_resident_attr_expand() and fail with a spurious SIGBUS, and can interleave with the size-change epilogue (truncate_pagecache(), i_size_write(), pagecache_isize_extended()). Take invalidate_lock exclusively around the whole resize after inode_dio_wait(), matching the fallocate path and other filesystems such as xfs, which wraps truncate in its mmaplock (= invalidate_lock).

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: move attribute payload before shrinking its record ntfs_new_attr_flags() resizes theCVE-2026-99101 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: move attribute payload before shrinking its record ntfs_new_attr_flags() resizes the non-resident attribute record before moving its name and mapping pairs to their shorter-header offsets when compression or sparse state is cleared. Shrinking the record first moves the following attribute over the tail of the old record. The subsequent memmove() therefore copies bytes from that following attribute instead of the old mapping pairs. Re-enabling compression on an empty file persists those bytes as a malformed mapping pairs array, which ntfsck reports as a missing or invalid run length. Move the payload before shrinking the record, while retaining the existing resize-before-move ordering when growing it.

An LDAP filter injection vulnerability in Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows an authenticated user to query otherwise unreturned attributes of calendar resources through SearchCalendarResourcesRequest. Zimbra escapes search values but inserts the supplied attribute names directly into LDAP filter expressions without validation. An attacker can inject additional conditions and use repeated matching queries to recover readable resource attributes such as internal mailbox hostnames and mail transport routes. The search remains restricted to calendar-resource objects and the LDAP service account's access rights. ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.21 are affected.

A request attribute override vulnerability in Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows unauthenticated requests to /h/* to populate servlet attributes intended for trusted internal dispatch. RestFilter copies URL parameters specifying an authentication token, target account, target item and dispatch state into the request attributes consumed by the Classic Web Client. Combined with CVE-2026-10632 on ZCS 10.1.16, this allows an attacker to supply their own valid token and document identifiers and execute JavaScript in another user's signed-in browser session. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: ati_remote2 - fix type confusion in device attribute handlers Previously, the channel_mask and mode_mask attributes were registered on the parent usb_device via sysfs_create_group(). When commit b20d6bf8014b ("Input: ati-remote2 - use driver core to instantiate device attributes") converted the driver to let the driver core manage them via dev_groups in struct usb_driver, the attributes moved to the bound usb_interface devices, but the show and store callbacks were not updated accordingly. As a result, the callbacks still invoked to_usb_device() on a device pointer belonging to a struct usb_interface, producing an invalid usb_device pointer. Use to_usb_interface() directly in the attribute handlers to obtain the interface and its driver data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cipso: adjust cached option offsets when removing CIPSO cipso_v4_skbuff_delattr() removes the CIPSO bytes but does not adjust cached offsets for options that follow them. For example, with a valid 10-byte CIPSO option followed by a seven-byte RR option, parsing records rr at offset 30. Removing CIPSO moves RR to offset 20, while the cached offset remains 30. Consumers such as ip_forward_options() and __ip_options_echo() then access the wrong bytes; the latter may interpret packet data as the option length and copy it into fixed-size option storage. Mirror cipso_v4_delopt() and subtract cipso_len from the srr, rr, ts and router_alert offsets when they follow CIPSO. cipso_len is the distance the first memmove() shifts those options. The later header move and network-header reset relocate the bytes and their offset base together.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix xattr replace when multiple xattrs are packed in the same item If we have a btrfs_dir_item item that packs multiple xattrs and then we replace the value of one of them (with the setxattr(2) family of syscalls) with another value of a different size, we end up not having a fully initialized btrfs_dir_item, resulting in a corruption that the tree checker will detect at extent buffer writeback time. This is because in btrfs_setxattr() when we find a btrfs_dir_item with multiple xattrs (due to the crc32c hash of their name being the same) we delete one of the xattr items (btrfs_dir_item) and then insert a new one, but the deletion and insertion results in shifting existing data in the leaf and therefore when the new value of a xattr has a different size, the new btrfs_dir_item is placed in a leaf section that was not initialized and we only copy the value's data and set the value's length in the new btrfs_dir_item, without setting the name, the name's length, the key (which must be all zeroes for xattrs), flags (BTRFS_FT_XATTR) and transaction ID. The following script reproduces the issue: $ cat test.

The policy only bounds the attribute from above (NLA_BINARY .len is a maximum) and the op sets GENL_DONT_VALIDATE_STRICT, so a short or zero-length attribute is accepted and the loop reads past the payload. Require the exact length in the policy, so a malformed attribute is rejected before the handler runs.

Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by a remote content blocking bypass in the handling of FuncIRI attributes. rcube_washtml detected the CSS url() token with a pattern that enumerated only some of its escaped spellings, so values using other CSS escape sequences, for example \000075rl( or u\72 l(, were not recognized and remote content was loaded from an HTML message without the user's consent. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix remote content blocking bypass via CSS escapes in FuncIRI attributes (again)”, which resolves CSS escapes before matching and also inspects the `to`, `from` and `by` attributes.

  • Oct 20, 2026DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl crash via type confusion in dbi_profile when a database handle is destroyed under a Profile Path with an {attr} element.CVE-2026-108518 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eLow 2.9

DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl crash via type confusion in dbi_profile when a database handle is destroyed under a Profile Path with an {attr} element. An {attr} element names a database handle attribute, which dbi_profile reads from the handle's inner hash. It expects the inner handle as a reference and dereferences it, but a handle that is being destroyed hands back the inner hash itself, so the dereference yields the hash's bucket array. A type check on that pointer usually fails and the call goes unprofiled. When the memory it addresses passes the check, the attribute lookup dereferences a NULL or invalid pointer and the process dies on SIGSEGV. The Path is set by the application, by the Profile handle attribute, or by the DBI_PROFILE environment variable, so `DBI_PROFILE={ImplementorClass}` can crash an unmodified program.

  • Oct 20, 2026Thunderbird did not escape attribute values when serializing outgoing XMPP stanzas.CVE-2026-113867 · Computers, phones & browsers · Mozilla · reported by security@mozilla.orgCritical 9.1

Thunderbird did not escape attribute values when serializing outgoing XMPP stanzas. Because values from incoming requests were echoed back in automatic replies, a remote XMPP user could send a crafted request that caused Thunderbird to inject arbitrary stanzas into the user's connection, which the server would then process as if sent by the user. This could be used to send messages or change contact and subscription settings on behalf of the user, without any interaction. This bug only affects Thunderbird's chat feature with XMPP accounts. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 158.0.1 and Thunderbird 153.5.1.

  • Oct 18, 2026The Bootstrap Shortcodes plugin for WordPress before 3.4.6 is vulnerable to stored XSS via the id attribute of the [bs_tcontent] shortcode.CVE-2026-112111 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by MITREMedium 5.1

The Bootstrap Shortcodes plugin for WordPress before 3.4.6 is vulnerable to stored XSS via the id attribute of the [bs_tcontent] shortcode. The bs_tcontent() shortcode handler in inc/bs_tabs.php emits the id attribute value into an unquoted HTML attribute. esc_attr() is applied, but it does not encode space characters, so a space in the supplied value terminates the attribute and any following text is parsed as additional HTML attributes, including JavaScript event handlers. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web script that executes in the browser of any user who views the page and interacts with the injected element.
