  • Oct 26, 2026A server-side template injection vulnerability exists in the Twig theme rendering sandbox of Mautic.CVE-2026-115189 · Other software · reported by security@mautic.orgHigh 8.8

A server-side template injection vulnerability exists in the Twig theme rendering sandbox of Mautic. The sandbox introduced to restrict user-uploaded theme templates (the fix for GHSA-9fx4-7cmj-47vg) does not fully enforce its restrictions, allowing a crafted theme template to escape the sandbox. An authenticated user with the core:themes:create permission can upload a malicious theme whose template is later rendered, resulting in execution of arbitrary code on the server with the privileges of the web server process. This allows the attacker to execute operating system commands, read server-side files including configuration files and database credentials, write files, and reach internal services. In default installations the core:themes:create permission is granted to the Administrator role, and in multi-operator setups it may be delegated to other roles. This is an incomplete fix for GHSA-9fx4-7cmj-47vg.

  • Oct 23, 2026Craft CMS allows any authenticated control panel user to submit an element-search condition whose element selector is evaluated as a sandboxed Twig object templCVE-2026-115938 · Other software · craftcms · reported by 7004884b-51e2-48e8-b4a2-5ca29e80453eHigh 8.7

Craft CMS allows any authenticated control panel user to submit an element-search condition whose element selector is evaluated as a sandboxed Twig object template. Craft’s allowed column filter delegates property lookup to Yii ArrayHelper, outside Twig’s SecurityPolicy. Repeated single-segment lookups therefore bypass the sandbox’s empty property/method allowlists. The vulnerable condition value is ultimately cast to an integer. That does not protect the secret: the template can return author ID 1 when a guessed key character is correct and an impossible ID otherwise. The JSON endpoint returns entries for the first case and an empty array for the second, forming a stable remote character oracle. After recovering GeneralConfig::securityKey, the same user can compute Craft’s generic HMAC wire format offline. Signed parameters such as redirect are then accepted and passed to unsandboxed View::renderObjectTemplate(), where Twig’s string-callable form can invoke native PHP callables. The regression proof uses the harmless substr() callback and observes abcdef becoming cdef; it does not execute an OS command.

  • Sep 26, 2026Grav 2.0.0 through 2.0.24 contain a Twig content sandbox escape.CVE-2026-100668 · Other software · getgrav · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

Grav 2.0.0 through 2.0.24 contain a Twig content sandbox escape. The `array` filter (and its identical function form) is on the sandbox allowlist but is registered without the needs_is_sandboxed guard that print_r, vardump, json_encode, yaml_encode and string carry, and its implementation calls toArray() — or falls back to an (array) cast — without consulting the sandbox method allowlist. Because the `grav` Twig global is the raw Pimple-based dependency injection container, a user who can author Twig in page content can evaluate `grav|array` to read the container's private $values array, including the un-redacted Config service; a second array cast returns the entire configuration tree, disclosing plugin credentials, SMTP and OAuth secrets, Redis passwords, proxy URLs and the security.* subtree that the sandbox's redaction is meant to hide. Because the payload is stored in page content, the disclosed configuration is rendered to anonymous visitors. Grav 1.7 is not affected as it has no Twig content sandbox. Fixed in Grav 2.0.25.

  • Sep 4, 2026Twig is a template language for PHP.CVE-2026-46636 · Other software · twigphp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Twig is a template language for PHP. From version 1.0.0 to before version 3.27.0, SecurityPolicy::checkMethodAllowed() unconditionally whitelists all method calls on instances of Twig\Markup. Twig\Markup is not final, so subclasses inherit the bypass. An application that passes an object of a Markup-derived class into a sandboxed template (typically to mark a chunk of HTML as safe) inadvertently exposes every public method of that subclass to template authors, regardless of the configured allowedMethods list. This issue has been patched in version 3.27.0.

  • Sep 4, 2026Grav before 2.0.18 (affected versions <= 2.0.17) contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the Twig sort filter.CVE-2026-85604 · Other software · getgrav · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

Grav before 2.0.18 (affected versions <= 2.0.17) contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the Twig sort filter. The sortFunc wrapper in GravExtension.php hardcodes Twig's isSandboxed argument to false, so unlike |map/|filter/|reduce, |sort accepts a plain function name inside the sandbox; the remaining denylist misses spl_autoload, which performs a PHP include. An authenticated user with only page-write rights (admin.pages or api.pages.write) can supply a crafted payload (e.g., via form frontmatter rendered by the Email plugin) that invokes spl_autoload through the sort filter, resulting in arbitrary PHP execution as the web server user.

The endpoint enforces requirePermission('api.config.write') followed by a bare isSuperAdmin() check instead of requireSuper(). Because isSuperAdmin() reads access.api.super directly and never consults api_key_scopes, a least-privilege API key scoped to api.config.write minted on a super account passes the gate, allowing an attacker to append attacker-chosen tokens to the security.twig_sandbox allowlist (persisted to user/config/security.yaml). Widening the allowlist turns any subsequent Twig-in-content render into an SSTI/RCE sink.

Twig is a template language for PHP. Prior to 3.27.0, deprecated internal wrappers in src/Resources/core.php do not forward the current sandbox state to CoreExtension::checkArrow(), arraySome(), and arrayEvery(), allowing legacy calls such as twig_array_some(), twig_array_every(), and twig_check_arrow_in_sandbox() to bypass sandbox callable restrictions. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.

Twig is a template language for PHP. Prior to 3.26.0, several Twig language constructs trigger PHP string coercion on a Stringable operand without consulting SecurityPolicy::checkMethodAllowed(), allowing a sandboxed template author to invoke __toString() on objects reachable in the render context through conditional expressions, comparison operators, tests, template-loading tags, dynamic attribute names, spread arguments, the do tag, and the .. range operator. This issue is fixed in version 3.26.0.

Twig is a template language for PHP. From 3.0.0 until 3.26.0, Twig\Profiler\Dumper\HtmlDumper writes Profile::getTemplate() and Profile::getName() into HTML output without escaping, allowing attacker-controlled template or profile names to inject arbitrary HTML when a browser renders the profiler dump. This issue is fixed in version 3.26.0.

Twig is a template language for PHP. From 3.15.0 until 3.26.0, _self.(<string>) and import-alias dynamic attribute syntax can concatenate an attacker-controlled string into a MacroReferenceExpression name without identifier validation, causing raw PHP to be emitted into the generated template source and executed at template-load time. This issue is fixed in version 3.26.0.

Twig is a template language for PHP. From 3.24.0 until 3.26.0, object-destructuring assignment compiles CoreExtension::getAttribute() with the sandbox argument hardcoded to false, disabling property and method policy checks and allowing an attacker with write access to a sandboxed Twig template to read public properties or invoke public getters on objects passed to the template engine. This issue is fixed in version 3.26.0.

Twig is a template language for PHP. Prior to 3.26.0, {% sandbox %}{% include %} can include a template that was previously loaded outside the sandbox without re-invoking checkSecurity(), allowing the cached template to use tags, filters, and functions that should have been denied by SecurityPolicy::checkSecurity(). Twig is a template language for PHP. Prior to 3.26.0, several filters in twig/markdown-extra and twig/cssinliner-extra are registered with is_safe => [all], causing Twig to treat plain text or HTML output as safe in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, URL, and other contexts where the output is not properly escaped. Twig is a template language for PHP. Prior to 3.26.0, the column filter passes object arrays to PHP array_column(), which reads public and magic properties without reaching CoreExtension::getAttribute() or SandboxExtension::checkPropertyAllowed(), allowing an untrusted template author with column in allowedFilters to read properties that are not in the sandbox allowlist. This issue is fixed in version 3.26.0.

Twig is a template language for PHP. From 3.9.0 until 3.26.0, template_from_string() compiles an inner template under a synthesized __string_template__<hash> name that can fall outside a SourcePolicyInterface sandbox decision, allowing a sandboxed template that can call template_from_string and include to render an inner template without security policy enforcement. • Jul 14, 2026Twig is a template language for PHP.CVE-2026-46627 · Other software · twigphp · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Twig is a template language for PHP. Prior to 3.26.0, the Twig sandbox does not prevent a template from consuming CPU, memory, or wall-clock time, even under the strictest allow-list, allowing untrusted templates to cause resource exhaustion. This issue is addressed in version 3.26.0 by documenting that the sandbox does not protect against resource exhaustion.

  • Jul 10, 2026Grav before 2.0.2 contains a Twig sandbox bypass that allows a page author (any admin.pages user, or anyone able to write to user/pages) to exfiltrate configuraCVE-2026-61450 · Other software · getgrav · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

Grav before 2.0.2 contains a Twig sandbox bypass that allows a page author (any admin.pages user, or anyone able to write to user/pages) to exfiltrate configuration secrets. Although the sandbox replaces the 'config' variable with a redacted facade and strips Config::get/toArray from the method allowlist, the raw container remains accessible via the allow-listed grav.offsetGet('config'), which returns the real Config object. Allow-listed object-dumping filters (json_encode, print_r, yaml_encode) then serialize that object at the PHP level without invoking the sandbox method gate, exposing the full config tree including plugin secrets such as SMTP credentials, API keys, and plugin DB credentials. This is an incomplete fix for GHSA-j274-39qw-32c9.

  • Jun 21, 2026Craft CMS contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the editableTable.twig component when using the 'Row Heading' column type.CVE-2026-56383 · Other software · craftcms · reported by VulnCheckMedium 4.6

Craft CMS contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the editableTable.twig component when using the 'Row Heading' column type. The application fails to sanitize input within row heading default values, allowing an attacker with an administrator account (with allowAdminChanges enabled) to inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes when another user views a page containing the affected table field. Affected versions are >= 4.5.0-beta.1 through 4.16.18 and >= 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.8.22; fixed in 4.16.19 and 5.8.23.
