  • Sep 24, 2026In Netgate pfSense Plus before 26.07 and pfSense CE before 2.9.0, a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability in the Dashboard (index.php) widget sequence data hCVE-2026-97730 · Other software · Netgate · reported by MITREHigh 8.5

In Netgate pfSense Plus before 26.07 and pfSense CE before 2.9.0, a Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerability in the Dashboard (index.php) widget sequence data handling allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary PHP code. To exploit this, an attacker with privileges to modify Dashboard settings and write arbitrary files to the pfSense firewall system (e.g., /tmp/test.widget.php) can submit a crafted widget sequence value containing a path traversal payload (e.g., ../../../../../../../../../../../tmp/test). Imager versions before 1.036 for Perl exit the process reading a TGA with a colour map length of 32768 or more in tga_palette_read. The reader unpacks the two-byte colour map length into a signed short, so a length of 32768 or more becomes negative. tga_palette_read() casts that value to size_t and asks mymalloc() for a size near SIZE_MAX. The allocation fails and Imager's allocator calls exit(3). Reading an attacker-supplied file through Imager->read() triggers an uncatchable exit.

NuGet Gallery is a package repository that powers nuget.org. A security vulnerability exists in the NuGetGallery backend job’s handling of .nuspec files within NuGet packages. An attacker can supply a crafted nuspec file with malicious metadata, leading to cross package metadata injection that may result in remote code execution (RCE) and/or arbitrary blob writes due to insufficient input validation. The issue is exploitable via URI fragment injection using unsanitized package identifiers, allowing an attacker to control the resolved blob path. This enables writes to arbitrary blobs within the storage container, not limited to .nupkg files, resulting in potential tampering of existing content. This issue has been patched in commit 0e80f87628349207cdcaf55358491f8a6f1ca276.
