Jan 26, 2020A vulnerability in the implementation of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) on Cisco Mobility Management Entity (MME) could allow an unauthenticateCVE-2019-16026 · Network & remote access · Cisco · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 5.9
A vulnerability in the implementation of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) on Cisco Mobility Management Entity (MME) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an eNodeB that is connected to an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation of SCTP traffic. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by leveraging a man-in-the-middle position between the eNodeB and the MME and then sending a crafted SCTP message to the MME. A successful exploit would cause the MME to stop sending SCTP messages to the eNodeB, triggering a DoS condition.

Mar 1, 2017A vulnerability in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) decoder of the Cisco NetFlow Generation Appliance (NGA) with software before 1.1(1a) could alCVE-2017-3826 · Network & remote access · Cisco · reported by psirt@cisco.comHigh 7.5
A vulnerability in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) decoder of the Cisco NetFlow Generation Appliance (NGA) with software before 1.1(1a) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the device to hang or unexpectedly reload, causing a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to incomplete validation of SCTP packets being monitored on the NGA data ports. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malformed SCTP packets on a network that is monitored by an NGA data port. SCTP packets addressed to the IP address of the NGA itself will not trigger this vulnerability. An exploit could allow the attacker to cause the appliance to become unresponsive or reload, causing a DoS condition. User interaction could be needed to recover the device using the reboot command from the CLI. The following Cisco NetFlow Generation Appliances are vulnerable: NGA 3140, NGA 3240, NGA 3340. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvc83320.

The Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) module in FreeBSD 9.3 before p33, 10.1 before p26, and 10.2 before p9, when the kernel is configured for IPv6, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (assertion failure or NULL pointer dereference and kernel panic) via a crafted ICMPv6 packet.

Multiple array index errors in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) module in FreeBSD 10.1 before p5, 10.0 before p17, 9.3 before p9, and 8.4 before p23 allow local users to (1) gain privileges via the stream id to the setsockopt function, when setting the SCTIP_SS_VALUE option, or (2) read arbitrary kernel memory via the stream id to the getsockopt function, when getting the SCTP_SS_PRIORITY option.

Oct 6, 2008The sctp_auth_ep_set_hmacs function in net/sctp/auth.c in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (sctp) implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.26.4, whCVE-2008-4445 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by MITREMedium 4.7
The sctp_auth_ep_set_hmacs function in net/sctp/auth.c in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (sctp) implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.26.4, when the SCTP-AUTH extension is enabled, does not verify that the identifier index is within the bounds established by SCTP_AUTH_HMAC_ID_MAX, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information via a crafted SCTP_HMAC_IDENT IOCTL request involving the sctp_getsockopt function, a different vulnerability than CVE-2008-4113.

The sctp_getsockopt_hmac_ident function in net/sctp/socket.c in the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (sctp) implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.26.4, when the SCTP-AUTH extension is enabled, relies on an untrusted length value to limit copying of data from kernel memory, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information via a crafted SCTP_HMAC_IDENT IOCTL request involving the sctp_getsockopt function.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
