Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spinand: fix NULL pointer dereference with no ECC engine When "nand-no-ecc-engine" isCVE-2026-98931 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spinand: fix NULL pointer dereference with no ECC engine When "nand-no-ecc-engine" is set in DT, nanddev_get_ecc_engine() takes the NAND_ECC_ENGINE_TYPE_NONE path and returns success while leaving nand->ecc.engine NULL. The SPI-NAND code nevertheless dereferences it unconditionally to test for a pipelined engine, so probing such a device oopses immediately. Rather than open-coding the test three times, add a nand_ecc_is_pipelined() helper to the NAND core that folds the NULL check into the integration comparison, and use it everywhere. Future callers then cannot reintroduce the problem.

Jan 8, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spinand: winbond: Fix 512GW, 01GW, 01JW and 02JW ECC information These four chips: * CVE-2024-56771 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: spinand: winbond: Fix 512GW, 01GW, 01JW and 02JW ECC information These four chips: * W25N512GW * W25N01GW * W25N01JW * W25N02JW all require a single bit of ECC strength and thus feature an on-die Hamming-like ECC engine. There is no point in filling a ->get_status() callback for them because the main ECC status bytes are located in standard places, and retrieving the number of bitflips in case of corrected chunk is both useless and unsupported (if there are bitflips, then there is 1 at most, so no need to query the chip for that). Without this change, a kernel warning triggers every time a bit flips.

Mar 13, 2023github-slug-action is a GitHub Action to expose slug value of GitHub environment variables inside of one's GitHub workflow.CVE-2023-27581 · Other software · rlespinasse · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
github-slug-action is a GitHub Action to expose slug value of GitHub environment variables inside of one's GitHub workflow. Starting in version 4.0.0` and prior to version 4.4.1, this action uses the `github.head_ref` parameter in an insecure way. This vulnerability can be triggered by any user on GitHub on any workflow using the action on pull requests. They just need to create a pull request with a branch name, which can contain the attack payload. This can be used to execute code on the GitHub runners and to exfiltrate any secrets one uses in the CI pipeline. A patched action is available in version 4.4.1. No workaround is available.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
