  • Oct 26, 2026A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in gssproxy.CVE-2026-116497 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in gssproxy. When a GSSX_INIT_SEC_CONTEXT request is received with the target_name field absent, the daemon dereferences the resulting NULL pointer and crashes. The request requires no authentication, allowing any local user to crash the gssproxy daemon via its Unix socket. The daemon does not automatically restart, resulting in a persistent denial of service that also affects dependent services such as Kerberized NFS and IdM.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi.CVE-2026-115486 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1

A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi. The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handler accesses link-layer address options at a fixed offset without verifying the packet contains them. Additionally, the ARP table is updated unconditionally with attacker-controlled addresses from the packet headers. An attacker on the same network segment can send a minimal Neighbor Advertisement to poison the ARP table and redirect network traffic.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi.CVE-2026-115485 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.3

A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi. The DHCPv6 option parser calls strlen() on raw network data without ensuring a NUL terminator is present, causing it to read past the buffer into heap memory. This can result in a daemon crash, a 1-byte heap overwrite, or corruption of the iSCSI initiator name. An attacker on the same network segment can trigger this by sending a crafted DHCPv6 Advertise message.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in libslirp.CVE-2026-115449 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 3.5

A flaw was found in libslirp. When handling ICMP echo requests, the reply length is not updated to match the actual data received from the host. Under specific conditions where the normal ICMP socket is unavailable, this length mismatch causes the host's real IP address to be leaked to the guest in the echo reply, breaking the NAT isolation that user-mode networking is expected to provide.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in FreeIPA.CVE-2026-115221 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.4

A flaw was found in FreeIPA. An improper authorization check allows an authenticated host to retrieve and revoke digital certificates assigned to other users or services. This issue occurs because FreeIPA verifies ownership solely by matching the host name to the certificate's subject Common Name (CN), without confirming actual ownership in the directory service. Consequently, an enrolled host can disrupt services by revoking certificates belonging to other entities.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in GNU patch.CVE-2026-115207 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in GNU patch. An attacker can achieve arbitrary file creation outside the intended working directory by enticing a user or automated workflow to apply a specially crafted patch file. Due to missing validation during automatic patch reversal, absolute file paths in patch headers are accepted rather than rejected. Consequently, the utility can create files in arbitrary locations with the permissions of the executing user.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in Goose.CVE-2026-111079 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.4

A flaw was found in Goose. When the terminal integration feature is enabled, the application captures shell command history and sends it verbatim without sanitization to configured Large Language Model (LLM) provider endpoints during queries. If a user enters sensitive data—such as API tokens, passwords, or environment variables containing secrets—in the terminal, this unredacted information is transmitted across trust boundaries. This can lead to sensitive information disclosure, exposing confidential credentials to external service providers and logs.

  • Oct 21, 2026The system certificate authority (CA) store in Red Hat products, distributed via ca-certificates RPM packages, included multiple root CA certificates of authoriCVE-2026-114406 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.8

The system certificate authority (CA) store in Red Hat products, distributed via ca-certificates RPM packages, included multiple root CA certificates of authorities, which signed intermediate CA certificates with weak private keys issued by the eMudhra certificate authority. A man-in-the-middle attacker could use this flaw to issue certificates for arbitrary host names signed by the weak intermediate CA certificates, which would be considered trusted by a TLS/SSL client using system CA store and cause such clients to connect to malicious sites. Due to inability to only distrust specific intermediate certificates in all clients using the system CA store, root CA certificates of authorities that signed weak intermediate CA certificates are being removed.

  • Oct 14, 2026A flaw was found in gst-plugins-base.CVE-2026-86476 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.4

A flaw was found in gst-plugins-base. A heap buffer overflow can be triggered when processing video buffers whose attached GstVideoMeta metadata declares plane strides and offsets that exceed the actual backing memory allocation. The metadata is not range-checked during deserialization, and the video frame mapping code does not verify that the declared plane geometry fits within the buffer before allowing consumers to read or write video data. A local attacker who controls the sending side of a GStreamer inter-process IPC pipeline can deliver a crafted buffer carrying fabricated strides, causing the receiving process to read or write beyond heap boundaries. Successful exploitation can cause a denial of service or potentially allow code execution within the affected process.

  • Oct 14, 2026A flaw was found in the GStreamer multimedia framework's ASF muxer plugin (asfmux).CVE-2026-100231 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.1

A flaw was found in the GStreamer multimedia framework's ASF muxer plugin (asfmux). When writing string metadata tags containing Unicode characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (such as emoji) to an ASF container, the plugin incorrectly calculates the buffer size needed for the UTF-16LE representation. The size calculation assumes each Unicode code point requires 2 bytes, but non-BMP characters require 4 bytes (surrogate pairs). This leads to a heap out-of-bounds write when the actual UTF-16LE conversion is written into the undersized buffer. An attacker could exploit this by providing media with crafted metadata tags to an application that transcodes or remuxes to ASF format while preserving metadata, potentially causing a denial of service or limited memory corruption.

  • Oct 13, 2026A flaw was found in device-mapper-persistent-data.CVE-2026-110036 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 3.3

A flaw was found in device-mapper-persistent-data. A local attacker can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by inducing a user or system tool to process crafted device metadata containing an excessively large block index. An arithmetic error in the synchronous block reading logic causes the application to panic and unexpectedly terminate.

  • Oct 13, 2026A flaw was found in BlueZ.CVE-2026-105460 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in BlueZ. An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the btmon Bluetooth monitor tool when processing crafted HCI Return Link Keys events. A maliciously crafted btsnoop capture file can specify a large number of link keys that exceeds the actual packet data, causing btmon to read beyond the allocated buffer and crash.

  • Oct 13, 2026A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin.CVE-2026-109976 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 4.7

A flaw was found in the clevis PKCS#11 pin. The clevis-pkcs11-afunix-socket-unlock daemon crashes when an AF_UNIX client connects to the data socket without a bound address, due to an integer underflow in the getpeername result handling. This causes a denial of service, preventing LUKS disk decryption from completing during boot.

  • Oct 13, 2026A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.CVE-2026-109833 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.9

A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. In the VNC TLS read path, partial consumption of the internal peek buffer incorrectly moves remaining peeked bytes into the caller-supplied buffer instead of compacting the peek buffer. A remote attacker who can reach an enabled VNC TLS listener and trigger a peek/read size mismatch can cause an out-of-bounds write, leading to denial of service.

  • Oct 13, 2026A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.CVE-2026-109832 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. In the VNC TLS I/O handlers, retryable GnuTLS results (GNUTLS_E_AGAIN and GNUTLS_E_INTERRUPTED) are handled with an unbounded busy loop instead of yielding to the event loop. A remote attacker who can reach an enabled VNC TLS listener can cause the event-loop thread to spin at high CPU with no forward progress, resulting in denial of service.

  • Oct 13, 2026A flaw was found in m17n-lib.CVE-2026-109854 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 2.5

A flaw was found in m17n-lib. An attacker who supplies crafted input to an application processing ISO-2022 encoded text can cause the library to read uninitialized memory from the stack. If the application exposes or returns the decoded output, this flaw can result in unexpected behavior and limited information disclosure.

  • Oct 12, 2026A use-after-free flaw was found in mutter in the Wayland color-management ICC image-description path.CVE-2026-108094 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8

A use-after-free flaw was found in mutter in the Wayland color-management ICC image-description path. A local attacker who can run a malicious Wayland client can destroy a wp_image_description_v1 resource while an asynchronous ICC file read is still in progress. When the read completes, the compositor uses the freed wl_resource, writes into freed memory, and frees a pointer derived from that memory. This can crash the GNOME session and may allow arbitrary code execution within the compositor process.

  • Oct 9, 2026A flaw was found in GIMP.CVE-2026-108093 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in GIMP. The XCF loader processes image-simulation-intent and image-simulation-bpc parasites without ensuring the parasite data is present before dereferencing it. Opening a specially crafted XCF file with a zero-size simulation parasite can cause a NULL pointer dereference and crash the GIMP application.
