Oct 29, 2026A flaw was found in the HOTP authentication mechanism of the keycloak-services component, which provides identity and access management services.CVE-2026-118030 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 4.2
A flaw was found in the HOTP authentication mechanism of the keycloak-services component, which provides identity and access management services. The issue occurs because the system validates a one-time password and updates its internal counter in two separate steps without proper locking. An attacker with a users password could exploit this timing gap to use a single one-time code to log in multiple times simultaneously.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix CPU hotplug hang when a dying CPU's tasks sit in the BPF scheduler A CPU going down has to empty its own rq. Its hotplug thread waits in sched_cpu_wait_empty() until nothing else is left, and the only thing that wakes it is balance_push(), which runs from __schedule() on the dying CPU and pushes off the migratable tasks the CPU picks. sched_ext breaks this. A task sitting on a user DSQ or held by the BPF scheduler is still counted on its rq, but an inactive CPU no longer calls ops.dispatch() and can't pull the task back. The dying CPU goes idle with the task still counted, and one of two things happens: - Another CPU consumes the task. The rq empties without a __schedule() on the dying CPU, so the hotplug thread is never woken and cpu_down() hangs holding cpu_hotplug_lock. - The task is affine only to the dying CPU. Nothing can move it, and the offline stalls until the watchdog ejects the BPF scheduler. When the rq goes offline, re-enqueue every task on it that isn't already on the local DSQ. An enqueue on an offline rq lands on the local DSQ, so the dying CPU itself picks the tasks and ba

Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cgroup/cpuset: Handle cpu hotplug race in guarantee_active_cpus() With commit 2125c0034c5dCVE-2026-99065 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cgroup/cpuset: Handle cpu hotplug race in guarantee_active_cpus() With commit 2125c0034c5d ("cgroup/cpuset: Make cpuset hotplug processing synchronous"), the cpuset hotplug operation becomes synchronous. That commit also removes the code that handles race between cpuset_hotplug_work and cpu hotplug notifier with the assumption that race is now gone. Later commit 7a0aabd9ce69 ("cgroup/cpuset: Always use cpu_active_mask") updates the cpuset code to always use cpu_active_mask instead of cpu_online_mask in some places including guarantee_online_cpus() which is renamed to guarantee_active_cpus() in that commit. In the case of CPU offline operation, cpu_active_mask is updated first in sched_cpu_deactivate() to remove the offline CPU before cpuset_handle_hotplug() is called to update the effective_cpus of the affected cpusets. The cpu_online_mask is updated after that near the end of the offline operation to remove the offline CPU. As a result, the race comes back and the top cpuset may not have any active CPU leading to NULL pointer dereference during the race window when guarantee_active_cpus() is called after cpu_ac

Oct 21, 2026stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint.CVE-2026-114129 · Other software · uhop · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. From 2.0.0 until 3.7.0, FlexAssembler compiles string and regular-expression path filters into matchers that join the full key stack on every container start. Because the key stack grows with unbounded object or array nesting, a document nested to depth D causes D joins whose cost grows with the current depth, resulting in quadratic CPU consumption on the single-threaded event loop. The join occurs before the rule match decision, so the attacker does not need to know the target schema. Consumers using only function filters or no rules are not affected. A crafted nested document can stall all concurrent work in a process that feeds it to an affected FlexAssembler. This issue is fixed in 3.7.0, which adds a default maximum depth.

Oct 16, 2026PilotPress: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-85659 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The PilotPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Account Takeover in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.43. The vulnerability exists because the `update_cc_details()` AJAX handler forwards an attacker-supplied `username` parameter to ONTRAPORT via `api_call('update_cc_details', ...)` before performing the local `username_exists()` collision check, and aborts without rolling back the remote rename when a collision is detected — leaving the remote ONTRAPORT contact renamed to an existing WordPress Administrator's login. On a subsequent login attempt, `user_login()` (hooked to `wp_authenticate`) authenticates against ONTRAPORT using the renamed login and the attacker's own password, resolves the local WordPress user row via `get_user_by('login', $username)` — which now selects the real Administrator's row — and calls `wp_set_password()` against that Administrator's user ID; because the `user_level != 10` guard only suppresses PilotPress's own cookie issuance rather than returning a `WP_Error` to core, WordPress proceeds to validate the newly-synchronized password and issues a full Administrator authentication cookie to the attacker. This makes it possi

Oct 16, 2026miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-103895 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in versions up to, and including, 5.5.8 via the `mo_by_pass_login()` function. This is due to `mo_delay_otp_process()` short-circuiting the authentication flow before password validation or the administrator intent gate (added in 5.5.6) can run, combined with the Delay OTP grace flag (`mov_last_verified_dttm`) being stored as a `user_meta` row keyed solely by target user ID with no binding to the originating session, cookie, IP address, or device. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to authenticate as any WordPress user — including administrators — by submitting only a known username with the `mo_wp_login_intent=otp` parameter and any non-empty password, thereby inheriting a legitimate user's open Delay OTP grace window without ever supplying correct credentials. Exploitation requires the site to have OTP-only login (`wp_login_skip_password=1`, `wp_login_skip_password_fallback=0`) and Delay OTP Verification (`wp_login_delay_otp=1`) enabled, and the target account must currently be within its configured Delay OTP interval.

Oct 14, 2026Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in Erlang OTP stdlib (erl_tar module), hexpm hex_core (hex_erl_tar module), hexpm hex (mix_CVE-2026-96596 · Other software · erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 5.9
Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in Erlang OTP stdlib (erl_tar module), hexpm hex_core (hex_erl_tar module), hexpm hex (mix_hex_erl_tar module) and erlang rebar3 (r3_hex_erl_tar module) allows an attacker who supplies a tar archive to cause a denial of service via a crafted GNU sparse member. When erl_tar:extract/1,2 writes a member to disk, erl_tar:stream_to_file_loop/3 reads it in chunks of 65536 bytes by default. For a GNU sparse member whose sparse map ends before its real size, erl_tar:do_sparse_read/3 matches its trailing-hole clause before its zero-length clause. After the chunk is used up, the trailing-hole clause reads zero bytes, does not advance the position, and recurses forever. A 2048-byte archive keeps the extracting process and one scheduler busy until the process is killed. The {max_size, N} option prevents this only when N is below the real size of the member. Extraction with the memory option is not affected. hex_core ships its own copy of erl_tar as hex_erl_tar, and Hex and rebar3 ship hex_core with prefixed module names (mix_hex_erl_tar and r3_hex_erl_tar). These copies contain the same code and do not call stdlib's erl_tar

Oct 14, 2026Improper Validation of Consistency within Input vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssl (tls_handshake_1_3, ssl_handshake and tls_client_ticket_store modules) allows a CVE-2026-94200 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.2
Improper Validation of Consistency within Input vulnerability in Erlang OTP ssl (tls_handshake_1_3, ssl_handshake and tls_client_ticket_store modules) allows a malicious TLS 1.3 server to cause a denial of service of the ssl application on the client node. The TLS 1.3 client decodes the extensions of a NewSessionTicket message as if they came from EncryptedExtensions. It therefore accepts a 0-length early_data extension, a form that is only valid in ClientHello and EncryptedExtensions. With {session_tickets, auto}, the client stores the ticket in the node-global tls_client_ticket_store. On the next automatic resumption, tls_handshake_1_3:get_max_early_data/1 crashes the store with a case_clause. Repeated crashes can exceed the restart intensity of the ssl supervisors, which use the rest_for_one strategy, and take down ssl for all connections on the node. This issue affects OTP from OTP 23.3 before OTP 27.3.4.19, OTP 28.5.0.8, and OTP 29.1.2, corresponding to ssl from 10.3 before 11.2.12.14, 11.6.0.7, and 11.7.8.

Oct 14, 2026Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in the ssl application in Erlang/OTP allows a client that holds a certificate trusted by one SNI virtual host to aCVE-2026-105236 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.3
Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in the ssl application in Erlang/OTP allows a client that holds a certificate trusted by one SNI virtual host to authenticate to a second SNI virtual host on the same listener by resuming its TLS 1.2 session there. A server that serves several SNI names from one listen socket through sni_fun or sni_hosts keeps one pre-TLS 1.3 session cache per listener and does not bind a cached session to the SNI name or client trust policy that established it. When an SNI option set switches to verify_peer without naming reuse_sessions, ssl_config:update_options/3 inherits the base listener's reuse_sessions value of true, so the default that disables reuse for client-authenticating servers does not apply. On an abbreviated handshake ssl_session:is_resumable/4 checks only that the cached session uses one of the current server certificates and carries some peer certificate, and never revalidates that certificate against the CA selected for the requested name. The names must share a server certificate, which is common with wildcard or multi-SAN certificates. TLS 1.3 does not use this cache and is not affected. This issue affects OTP from OTP 18.0 befor

Gitea's OpenID connect handler accepts a user's password without enforcing enrolled TOTP or WebAuthn verification before completing sign-in and linking an OpenID identifier. When OpenID sign-in is enabled, an attacker who knows the victim's password can obtain a session and link an attacker-controlled identifier. Oct 7, 2026The WSO2 Identity Server fails to enforce a default expiry time for SMS One-Time Passwords (OTPs) used in multi-factor authentication (MFA).CVE-2024-8122 · Other software · WSO2 · reported by ed10eef1-636d-4fbe-9993-6890dfa878f8Medium 5.9
The WSO2 Identity Server fails to enforce a default expiry time for SMS One-Time Passwords (OTPs) used in multi-factor authentication (MFA). This allows unused OTPs to remain valid indefinitely, presenting an opportunity for malicious actors to conduct brute force attacks by repeatedly guessing the OTP. The absence of automatic expiration for OTPs grants attackers an unlimited timeframe to attempt guessing the correct code. A successful brute force attack can lead to an MFA bypass, resulting in the unauthorized takeover of a user's account and compromising the security and privacy of both the individual and the system.

Oct 7, 2026MISP contains a race condition in the email-based one-time password (OTP) login flow.CVE-2026-107276 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.3
MISP contains a race condition in the email-based one-time password (OTP) login flow. When two HTTP requests carrying the same valid OTP are submitted concurrently, both can successfully authenticate and establish a session. The root cause is that the OTP value is read from the shared store, validated, and then deleted in separate non-atomic steps, allowing a second in-flight request to read the same value before the first request's deletion takes effect. Preconditions: - The target MISP instance has email OTP login enabled. - The attacker possesses a valid, unexpired OTP (e.g., via email interception or social engineering). - The attacker can issue two HTTP POST requests in close temporal proximity. Impact: - The one-time-use guarantee of the OTP is violated; a single code can yield two authenticated sessions. - This weakens the authentication control and may facilitate unauthorized access if the OTP is shared or intercepted. Affected versions: <2.5.48

Oct 7, 2026On MISP instances configured to require TOTP enrolment (Security.otp_required), the enforcement of the mandatory two-factor authentication setup applied only toCVE-2026-107180 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7.1
On MISP instances configured to require TOTP enrolment (Security.otp_required), the enforcement of the mandatory two-factor authentication setup applied only to standard browser requests. An authenticated user who had not yet enrolled in TOTP could bypass the forced setup by issuing any non-browser request type, including AJAX/XHR calls, REST API requests, .json format URLs, restSearch queries, or automation actions. Because these machine-readable request shapes cannot follow the redirect that the browser path uses to send the user to the TOTP enrolment page, the guard simply skipped the check and the user retained full access to the instance without completing the required second-factor setup. The initial fix (commit 8deb0619e) added a guard specifically for AJAX requests. A follow-up fix (commit 6b527ba6e) broadened the guard to cover every non-browser request shape, while preserving the exemption for identities authenticated via API key (logged_by_authkey flag). Impact: an authenticated user on an otp_required instance can operate with full access indefinitely without enrolling in TOTP, nullifying the instance-level two-factor authentication policy. Affected version: <2.5.48

Oct 1, 2026stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint.CVE-2026-104183 · Other software · uhop · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1
stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. Prior to 3.6.0, Assembler materializes object properties with plain assignment, so an input key named __proto__ invokes the inherited setter and causes parsed object prototype replacement instead of creating an own data property. Applications that make authorization or feature decisions from inherited values can therefore consume attacker-controlled properties, and a null prototype can disrupt code that expects Object.prototype methods. The researcher treats parsing untrusted JSON as part of the project contract, while the maintainer states that documented inputs are locally owned dumps, exports, or logs and characterizes the attack vector as local. The global Object.prototype is not polluted. This issue is fixed in version 3.6.0.

Oct 1, 2026stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint.CVE-2026-104182 · Other software · uhop · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2
stream-json is a micro-library of stream components for processing JSON and JSONC with a minimal memory footprint. Prior to 3.6.0, the JSONC parser at stream-json/jsonc/parser.js and verifier at stream-json/jsonc/verifier.js restart comment-terminator scanning from the opening slash whenever a block or line comment spans an input chunk, while retaining the accumulated comment buffer. Delivering a large valid comment across many small chunks therefore causes quadratic CPU work and can stall the Node.js event loop. The maintainer characterizes the attack vector as local because the documented JSONC input is locally owned or user-controlled configuration, rather than input intended for the open internet. This JSONC-only scope does not include the plain JSON parser, which advances through and discards consumed string and number data. This issue is fixed in version 3.6.0.

Oct 1, 2026MISP contains a vulnerability in its two-factor authentication (TOTP) verification process that permits a valid one-time code to be accepted more than once withCVE-2026-103655 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 9.3
MISP contains a vulnerability in its two-factor authentication (TOTP) verification process that permits a valid one-time code to be accepted more than once within its time-based validity window. The issue exists in the user login flow where a TOTP code is verified as a second authentication factor. Because the system did not record whether a given TOTP period had already been consumed, the same code remained valid for its entire time window (typically 30 seconds). An attacker who captures a legitimate code during a user's login could replay it to authenticate a second session as that user. Preconditions: - The target user has TOTP-based two-factor authentication enabled. - The attacker is in a position to observe or intercept the TOTP code during a legitimate login (e.g., network-level interception, shoulder surfing, or a compromised client). - The replay must occur within the TOTP validity period. Security impact: - Unauthorized account access by replaying a captured one-time code. - Potential compromise of threat-intelligence data and administrative functions accessible to the targeted user. Affected versions: <v2.5.48.

MISP contains a vulnerability in its one-time password (OTP) authentication flow that allows replay of a consumed HOTP (paper) token and rewinding of the token counter. The HOTP verification logic compared the submitted token against a counter value that was cached in the user's session at the time the password was entered, rather than against the authoritative counter stored in the database. Because the session-cached counter is not updated after a token is successfully consumed, an attacker who holds a valid session (password already submitted) can reuse a previously burned HOTP token. The stale cached counter still matches the replayed token, granting a second successful authentication and effectively rewinding the counter state. Preconditions: - The target user has HOTP (paper token) second-factor authentication enabled. - The attacker possesses a valid session in which the password step has already been completed (the OTP step is pending). - The attacker has access to at least one HOTP token value (e.g., a paper token list). Security impact: - Bypass of the second authentication factor, allowing unauthorized access to a user's MISP account. - Corruption of the HOTP cou

Sep 26, 2026miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-85984 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The miniOrange OTP Login, Verification and SMS Notifications plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via the mo_wp_login_intent parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.5.5. This is due to a missing password-intent guard in the skip_pass_fallback-enabled configuration branch of the mo_by_pass_login() function, which treats administrator role membership alone as sufficient authentication whenever the unauthenticated, unverified POST parameter mo_wp_login_intent is submitted with the value otp, causing mo_get_user() to skip wp_authenticate_username_password() and resolve a WP_User purely from a username lookup. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing administrator account by supplying only a known username and an empty password alongside mo_wp_login_intent=otp, with no password or OTP verification required. Exploitation is conditional on a site administrator having simultaneously enabled the following plugin options: WP Login OTP, Login with Only OTP, Allow Users to Login with Username and Password, and Admin OTP Bypass.

Sep 25, 2026Automation Web Platform – Notifications and OTP for WooCommerce, Advanced Country Code: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14281 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Automation Web Platform – Notifications and OTP for WooCommerce, Advanced Country Code plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.6. This is due to missing permission enforcement on the publicly accessible REST route `POST /wp-json/wawp/v1/signup/<op>` and the absence of a key allowlist in the `finish_registration_logic` function, which copies the attacker-controlled `wawp_custom_fields` parameter directly into `update_user_meta()` — allowing sensitive meta keys such as `wp_capabilities` and `wp_user_level` to be set by the caller. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a new account with the administrator role and gain full administrative access to the site. When OTP verification is enabled at signup, the OTP session token (`otp_transient`) is returned in plaintext in the HTTP response body, and the `handle_magic_link_request()` handler marks that token as verified on any unauthenticated GET request containing it without ever checking the OTP code value — making the OTP step trivially bypassable with no inbox or SMS access required.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kasan: fix cache shrink race with CPU hotplug kasan_quarantine_remove_cache() first invokes per_cpu_remove_cache() on all online CPUs. Each callback moves objects belonging to the cache from cpu_quarantine to the CPU's shrink_qlist, where they can later be freed from task context. kmem_cache_destroy() invokes the quarantine removal path while holding cpus_read_lock(), but kmem_cache_shrink() does not. The latter can therefore race with CPU offlining as follows: kmem_cache_shrink() CPU hotplug ------------------- ----------- on_each_cpu() CPU1 moves objects to CPU1's shrink_qlist on_each_cpu() returns CPU1 goes offline kasan_cpu_offline() drains cpu_quarantine leaves shrink_qlist untouched for_each_online_cpu() skips CPU1 The objects left on CPU1's shrink_qlist are not returned to the slab allocator. In MISP's UsersController login() method, the pre-authentication database query used for the TOTP (two-factor authentication) verification branch did not include the User.disabled column in its SELECT fields list. The query selected only User.password, User.totp, and User.hotp_counter. When the TOTP branch subsequently accessed $unauth_user['User']['disabled'], the key was absent from the result set, producing a PHP 'Undefined array key' warning and causing the expression to evaluate as null (falsy). As a result, the disabled-user guard in the TOTP branch was effectively a no-op: a disabled, TOTP-enrolled user could proceed to the TOTP verification step rather than being rejected at that point. The commit message explicitly states this was 'harmless in practice' because the subsequent identify() call re-validates the user and would still reject a disabled account. The practical security impact is therefore minimal, limited to a very small information-disclosure difference in the login response (a TOTP prompt is presented instead of an immediate rejection) and a PHP warning in application logs.

Key Exchange without Entity Authentication vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl allows a peer that answers a TLS 1.3 client connection to impersonate the intended server. A pre_shared_key extension in the ServerHello that the client never offered causes the client to complete the handshake without validating the server's certificate, so ssl:connect returns {ok, Socket} against a peer holding no certificate, no private key and no prior session. tls_client_connection_1_3:handle_server_hello/2 passes the received extension to tls_gen_connection_1_3:handle_resumption/2, which sets resumption = true on its mere presence without checking that the client offered a PSK. tls_handshake_1_3:get_pre_shared_key/4 meanwhile falls back to the all-zero "no PSK" value and keys the handshake with the ordinary non-PSK schedule, so the attacker's own ephemeral key suffices. The resumption flag then routes maybe_resumption/1 straight to wait_finished, skipping the certificate-handling states, so certificate path validation, verify_fun, hostname verification, partial_chain, CRL checking and OCSP stapling are all bypassed. The default client configuration is affected; clients restricted to TLS 1.2 are not.

Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssh allows an authenticated remote attacker to exhaust node memory by repeatedly opening session channels that are never assigned a handler. The "session" clause of ssh_connection:handle_msg/4 checks only minimal_remote_max_packet_size before calling setup_session/5, which unconditionally builds a #channel{} record and stores it in the ETS channel cache. The max_channels daemon option is consulted only by ssh_channel_sup:max_num_channels_not_exceeded/2, which counts supervisor children, so a channel that never gets a shell, exec, or subsystem handler is invisible to the limit and setting the option to a finite value does not mitigate the attack. RFC 4254 section 5.1 permits many session channels per connection, and each record costs only a few hundred bytes, so a single authenticated connection can accumulate channels until the node runs out of memory and the emulator terminates, affecting every application on it. No file contents, credentials, or write access are obtainable. This issue affects OTP from OTP 18.1.2 before OTP 27.3.4.18, OTP 28.5.0.7, and OTP 29.1.1, corresponding to ssh from 4.1.1 bef

Inefficient algorithmic complexity in the Erlang/OTP asn1 OBJECT IDENTIFIER decoder allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause denial of service by sending a crafted OID during the TLS handshake. The BER OID decoder asn1rtt_ber:dec_subidentifiers/3 in lib/asn1/src/asn1rtt_ber.erl and the equivalent PER helper asn1rtt_per_common:dec_subidentifiers/3 in lib/asn1/src/asn1rtt_per_common.erl accumulate a base-128 subidentifier into an unbounded integer using (Av bsl 7) + H per continuation byte. Each shift and addition on the growing accumulator is linear in the number of bits already accumulated, giving quadratic total work in the size of a single subidentifier. The JER helper asn1rtt_jer:json2oid/1 in lib/asn1/src/asn1rtt_jer.erl exhibits the same class of unbounded-integer parsing when decoding a dot-separated OID from JSON. A DER-encoded OBJECT IDENTIFIER with one very large arc (approximately 262 KB of continuation bytes) consumes roughly 13 seconds of CPU on typical hardware. The vulnerable decoder is generated into every ASN.1 module that contains an OBJECT IDENTIFIER, including OTP-PUB-KEY which is reached during X.509 certificate parsing via public_key:pkix_decode_cert

The SMS OTP flow fails to adequately handle error messages, allowing an attacker to infer the existence of registered user accounts based on the responses received during the OTP initiation process. This weakness can be exploited by an attacker to discover valid usernames within the system. The impact is amplified for accounts that have not configured a mobile number, as the enumeration is specifically tied to this condition. The discovery of these usernames can facilitate subsequent brute force attacks, social engineering attempts, and information leakage, potentially leading to reputational damage, loss of customer trust, and regulatory non-compliance.

Sep 14, 2026The LdapAuth and LinOTPAuth authentication plugins in MISP contain an authentication bypass vulnerability.CVE-2026-90961 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 9.3
The LdapAuth and LinOTPAuth authentication plugins in MISP contain an authentication bypass vulnerability. Both LdapAuthenticate and LinOTPAuthenticate replace CakePHP's FormAuthenticate class but fail to replicate its _checkFields() input validation guard. As a result, the email and password fields extracted from the login request are passed to downstream authentication logic without verifying that they are non-empty strings. In the LDAP authenticator, an empty or null password is forwarded to ldap_bind(). Per RFC 4513 section 5.1.2, a bind request with a valid DN and an empty password constitutes an unauthenticated bind, which many LDAP directory servers accept as successful. An attacker who knows any valid user email address in the directory can therefore authenticate as that user without possessing a password. Additionally, non-string values (null, false, arrays) are either coerced to empty strings by ldap_bind(), raise TypeErrors, or are misinterpreted as find conditions in _findUser(), all of which can lead to unintended authentication outcomes. In the LinOTP authenticator, the same missing guard allows non-string credentials to be concatenated into the LinOTP verification

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/cpum_cf: Handle CPU hotplug via prepare/dead callbacks The command 'perf stat -e cycles -- <command>' crashes the kernel when CPUs are hotplug added during that run. Root cause is the allocation of struct cpu_cf_events at first event initialization. The allocation is dynamic and the first event that has task context creates such a structure for each online CPU. Since the events are created with task-context, the scheduler will eventually schedule the program on CPU1. This CPU has not created and initialized any per CPU event infrastructure as that CPU was not online at the time of the perf invocation. Thus when the scheduler runs stress-ng on CPU1, the function cpumf_pmu_add() refers to a NULL pointer: struct cpu_cf_events *cpuhw = this_cpu_cfhw(); This function call is invoked
