  • Oct 13, 2026ConnectBot SSH Client Library is written in Kotlin with Kaitai Struct and KStateMachine.CVE-2026-54700 · Other software · connectbot · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

ConnectBot SSH Client Library is written in Kotlin with Kaitai Struct and KStateMachine. Prior to 0.3.1, the SSH protocol parser trusts attacker-controlled inner byte lengths and element counts without verifying that they fit in the containing packet. A malicious or compromised SSH server can return a small malformed packet whose oversized declarations cause the Kaitai Struct Java runtime to attempt excessive allocation or repeated parsing before detecting truncated input. The general transport path requires a client connection but no authentication or optional feature; malformed SSH-agent messages additionally require SSH agent forwarding. The issue can raise an uncaught OutOfMemoryError and terminate the application process, with no demonstrated confidentiality or integrity impact. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.1.

  • Oct 13, 2026ConnectBot SSH Client Library is written in Kotlin with Kaitai Struct and KStateMachine.CVE-2026-54697 · Other software · connectbot · reported by GitHubMedium 6.7

ConnectBot SSH Client Library is written in Kotlin with Kaitai Struct and KStateMachine. Prior to 0.3.1, DerReader.readLength() accepts excessive long-form DER length octets, accumulates them into an Int, and primitive readers allocate arrays without checking the declared size against the remaining input. An application or user that loads an attacker-provided private-key file through SshClient.authenticatePublicKey(), SshKeys.decodePemPrivateKey(), SshSigning.sign(), or SshSigning.getPublicKey() can trigger integer wraparound, excessive allocation, or an uncaught OutOfMemoryError. SSH server host keys and agent-forwarding messages do not use this application-supplied private-key input path. No usable weakened key and no confidentiality or integrity impact have been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 0.3.1.

  • Sep 23, 2026Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java.CVE-2026-61695 · Other software · square · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.4.1 and 7.0.0-alpha04, Wire's Swift runtime ProtoReader.skipGroup(expectedEndTag:unknownFieldsWriter:) accepts a negative length for a LENGTH_DELIMITED field inside an unknown START_GROUP field. ProtoReader.readData() forwards the negative count to ReadBuffer.readData(count:), whose upper-bound-only check permits the value to reach Foundation Data(bytes:count:) and trigger an unrecoverable process trap instead of a catchable ProtoDecoder.Error. Any Swift process decoding untrusted protobuf bytes can be crashed without authentication, user interaction, or knowledge of the target schema. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.1 and 7.0.0-alpha04.

  • Sep 18, 2026http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications.CVE-2026-54148 · Other software · http4k · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications. Prior to 4.51.0.0, 5.42.0.0, and 6.50.0.0, DigestAuthProvider.verify in http4k-security-digest does not compare the uri parameter in an Authorization: Digest response with the actual request URL. An attacker who captures a valid Digest authentication response can replay it against another URL served by the same realm, bypassing the per-request-URI binding and potentially gaining unauthorized read or write access. This issue is fixed in versions 4.51.0.0, 5.42.0.0, and 6.50.0.0.

http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications. Prior to 4.51.0.0, 5.42.0.0, and 6.50.0.0, DigestAuthProvider.verify in http4k-security-digest ignores its configured algorithm parameter and verifies every Digest response with hardcoded MD5. Deployments configured for SHA-256 therefore receive weaker MD5-based verification, exposing Digest authentication to collision-related attack paths that depend on the hash function's collision resistance. This issue is fixed in versions 4.51.0.0, 5.42.0.0, and 6.50.0.0.

  • Sep 16, 2026Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java.CVE-2026-63126 · Other software · square · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.4.5 and 7.0.0-alpha04, Wire protobuf readers do not consistently validate attacker-controlled lengths against the current logical message boundary before advancing cursors, pointers, limits, slices, or allocations. In Kotlin, ProtoAdapter.decode(ByteArray) and ProtoAdapter.decode(ByteString) use ByteArrayProtoReader32.internalNextLengthDelimited(), where a positive oversized length can wrap pos + length to a negative limit and escape the existing negative-length check. Related ProtoReader, ReadBuffer.readVarint(), ReadBuffer.verifyAdditional(count:), packed-repeated, nested-message, and ProtoDecoder.decodeSizeDelimited(_:from:) paths can cross logical boundaries, perform pointer arithmetic, reserve capacity, or convert an unrepresentable size before proving the requested bytes exist. An attacker who supplies malformed protobuf bytes can cause unchecked exceptions, traps, out-of-bounds behavior, or excessive allocation, resulting in denial of service without known confidentiality, integrity, or code-execution impact. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.5 and 7.0.0-alpha04.

  • Sep 14, 2026http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications.CVE-2026-53659 · Other software · http4k · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications. Prior to 4.51.0.0, 5.42.0.0, and 6.49.0.0, ServerFilters.GZip, RequestFilters.GunZip, and the underlying Gzip request-body decompression functions impose no limit on decompressed size. An unauthenticated client can send a small gzip-encoded request body that expands to gigabytes, exhausting the JVM heap and denying service to other clients. The fix uses SizeLimitedInputStream to enforce a default 10 MiB limit, causes ServerFilters.GZip and RequestFilters.GunZip to return 413 Request Entity Too Large, and causes other decompression paths to throw SizeLimitExceededException. This issue is fixed in versions 4.51.0.0, 5.42.0.0, and 6.49.0.0.

  • Sep 8, 2026MCP Kotlin SDK is the Kotlin Multiplatform software development kit for the Model Context Protocol.CVE-2026-53937 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubMedium 6.2

MCP Kotlin SDK is the Kotlin Multiplatform software development kit for the Model Context Protocol. In versions 0.7.0 through 0.12.0, `ReadBuffer.append` in `kotlin-sdk-core/src/commonMain/kotlin/io/modelcontextprotocol/kotlin/sdk/shared/ReadBuffer.kt` writes every chunk of bytes received from the stdio transport into a `kotlinx.io.Buffer` with no size cap. Frames are extracted from that buffer only when a `\n` (0x0a) byte is observed. A peer that streams bytes without ever sending a newline causes the internal buffer to grow indefinitely until the JVM (or the surrounding host process) is OOM-killed. The leak is amplified by `StdioServerTransport` and `StdioClientTransport`, which both queue raw chunks through a `kotlinx.coroutines.channels.Channel<ByteArray>(Channel.UNLIMITED)` and then call `readBuffer.append(chunk)` without backpressure or size guard. This is a remote-pre-auth denial of service whenever an SDK stdio server's stdin is fed by an untrusted or attacker-controlled producer (for example: a host program that exec's the MCP server as a subprocess and pipes through bytes received from a network peer, or a sidecar wrapper that proxies bytes from an HTTP endpoint to the st

Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.3.0 and 7.0.0-alpha03, ByteArrayProtoReader32.skipGroup() and ProtoReader.skipGroup() in wire-runtime do not validate that a LENGTH_DELIMITED field length is non-negative before skip(), allowing a crafted protobuf varint encoding -128 as a signed Int to make skip(-128) move the internal position negative and make the next readByte() throw ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException instead of the documented IOException or ProtocolException, which can crash services using ProtoAdapter.decode(byte[]) on untrusted payloads. • Jul 6, 2026Minosoft is an open-source, multi-version Minecraft Java Edition client written in Kotlin.CVE-2024-56141 · Other software · Bixilon · reported by GitHubMedium 5

Minosoft is an open-source, multi-version Minecraft Java Edition client written in Kotlin. Starting in commit f1ae30e2b046a490026a8413b075685deb795122, the CryptManager  encryption routine ( CryptManager.kt ) initializes its AES cipher using an initialization vector (IV) that is set equal to the secret key rather than to a sufficiently random value. Because the IV is not random and is derived directly from the key, the encryption is vulnerable to chosen-ciphertext/chosen-plaintext attacks: an attacker who can submit specific messages for encryption can recover the secret key. This affects all versions supporting Minecraft protocol 1.7 and later. No patched version is available, and no known workarounds are available.

jte (Java Template Engine) is a secure and lightweight template engine for Java and Kotlin. In affected versions Jte HTML templates with `script` tags or script attributes that include a Javascript template string (backticks) are subject to XSS. The `javaScriptBlock` and `javaScriptAttribute` methods in the `Escape` class do not escape backticks, which are used for Javascript template strings. Dollar signs in template strings should also be escaped as well to prevent undesired interpolation. HTML templates rendered by Jte's `OwaspHtmlTemplateOutput` in versions less than or equal to `3.1.15` with `script` tags or script attributes that contain Javascript template strings (backticks) are vulnerable. • Dec 12, 2024http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications.CVE-2024-55875 · Other software · http4k · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

http4k is a functional toolkit for Kotlin HTTP applications. Prior to version 6.50.0.0, there is a potential XXE (XML External Entity Injection) vulnerability when http4k handling malicious XML contents within requests, which might allow attackers to read local sensitive information on server, trigger Server-side Request Forgery and even execute code under some circumstances. The original fix shipped in v5.41.0.0 / v4.50.0.0 closed the documented external-entity attack class (SSRF, local-file disclosure, code execution) by setting `ACCESS_EXTERNAL_DTD=""`, `ACCESS_EXTERNAL_SCHEMA=""`, and `isExpandEntityReferences=false` on the default `DocumentBuilderFactory`. A residual gap remained: the parser still accepted documents containing `<!DOCTYPE>` declarations even though external entity resolution was blocked. This left open billion-laughs-style internal entity expansion DoS attacks against any application using `Body.xml()` or `Document.asXmlDocument()` on untrusted XML. v6.50.0.0 closes this residual by adding `disallow-doctype-decl=true` and `FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING=true` to `defaultXmlParsingConfig`. Any document containing a `<!DOCTYPE>` is now rejected at parse time.

kaml is an open source implementation of the YAML format with support for kotlinx.serialization. In affected versions attackers that could provide arbitrary YAML input to an application that uses kaml could cause the application to endlessly loop while parsing the input. This could result in resource starvation and denial of service. This only affects applications that use polymorphic serialization with the default tagged polymorphism style. Applications using the property polymorphism style are not affected. YAML input for a polymorphic type that provided a tag but no value for the object would trigger the issue.
