The File Manager WordPress plugin before 8.0.5, FileOrganizer WordPress plugin before 1.2.1, File Manager Pro WordPress plugin before 2.1.3 do not correctly validate the origin of window messages received by the file browser they load on their admin screens, accepting any origin that is a leading string prefix of the site's own address, which allows an unauthenticated attacker to run arbitrary JavaScript in the session of a logged-in administrator who visits a page under their control. Aug 6, 2026File Manager: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-15991 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The File Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the connector function in all versions from 6.0 - 6.9. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to read and delete arbitrary files on the server, which can lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). The bypass is triggered by passing cmd=rm or cmf=file in the URL query string of a POST request: elFinder's bind registration reads the command exclusively from $_POST and therefore never registers the rm.pre permission handler, while the dispatcher reads from the merged $_GET+$_POST superglobal and executes the rm or file command unchecked against a volume that defaults to ABSPATH.

Jul 23, 2026GoDAM – Organize WordPress Media Library & File Manager with Unlimited Folders for Images, Videos & more: Arbitrary file uploadsCVE-2026-14282 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The GoDAM – Organize WordPress Media Library & File Manager with Unlimited Folders for Images, Videos & more plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads in versions up to, and including, 1.12.2. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the save_video_file() function hooked into WPForms' public wpforms_process_before_filter, which trusts the attacker-supplied multipart Content-Type header, preserves the original filename via wp_unique_filename(), and moves the raw upload with $wp_filesystem->move() into a web-served directory — bypassing wp_handle_upload()'s MIME/extension allowlist. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

Jun 27, 2026Frontend File Manager: Authenticated Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-8095 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Frontend File Manager Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authenticated Arbitrary File Deletion in versions up to and including 23.6. This is due to a case-sensitive bypass of the wpfm_dir_path parameter sanitization in the wpfm_file_meta_update AJAX handler, where supplying WPFM_DIR_PATH in uppercase evades the unset check and is normalized to wpfm_dir_path by sanitize_key() during update_post_meta(), allowing an attacker to overwrite the stored file path with an arbitrary filesystem path that is then passed directly to unlink() in delete_file_locally() without any directory containment validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access to delete arbitrary files on the server, including sensitive files such as wp-config.php, potentially leading to full site takeover.
