  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Disable interrupts while holding delayed_cmd_lock target_do_delayed_work() tCVE-2026-99207 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Disable interrupts while holding delayed_cmd_lock target_do_delayed_work() takes dev->delayed_cmd_lock with a plain spin_lock(). It runs from system_percpu_wq, so interrupts stay enabled while the lock is held. Every other acquisition of that lock uses spin_lock_irqsave(): target_handle_task_attr() and transport_complete_ordered_sync() in target_core_transport.c, and target_non_ordered_release() in target_core_device.c. That was safe while every caller of transport_complete_task_attr() ran in process context: target_complete_ok_work() from target_completion_wq, transport_complete_qf() from dev->qf_work_queue, and transport_generic_request_failure() from the submit and execute paths. Since commit 06933066d88a ("scsi: target: Add support for completing commands from backend context") that is no longer true. With complete_type=1 on a fabric that sets direct_compl_supp, target_complete() runs target_complete_ok_work() inline in the backend's completion context, which target_complete_cmd_with_sense() documents as "May be called from interrupt context". For iblock that is the bio end_io. target_complet

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: don't truncate the port group walk on teardown __br_multicast_disable_port_ctx() and br_multicast_del_port() walk port->mglist with hlist_for_each_entry_safe(). However, br_multicast_find_del_pg() can also delete other entries from the same list through br_multicast_fwd_src_remove() or __fwd_del_star_excl(). If such an entry is the iterator's saved next node, hlist_del_init() clears its ->next and terminates the walk early. The reproducer triggers this in both teardown walks, leaving port groups in the bridge mdb with a dangling ->key.port after del_nbp() frees the port: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 br_mdb_dump+0x594/0xe40 rtnl_mdb_dump+0x1cf/0x5d0 Use hlist_del_init_rcu() to unlink the group while preserving ->next. br_multicast_del_pg() and the teardown walks run under br->multicast_lock. The GC worker must acquire the same lock before detaching the group for destruction, so the node remains alive while the walk uses the preserved pointer. • Oct 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/register: don't exempt disabled rings from task restrictions A ring created with CVE-2026-99096 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/register: don't exempt disabled rings from task restrictions A ring created with IORING_SETUP_R_DISABLED is exempt from its register restrictions until it is enabled. This lets the creator register the restrictions and then enable the ring with IORING_REGISTER_ENABLE_RINGS, whether or not that opcode is in the allowed set. Since commit ed82f35b926b ("io_uring: allow registration of per-task restrictions"), a ring also inherits restrictions from the task that creates it, and the same exemption applies to those. A task whose register opcodes are restricted can therefore create a disabled ring, issue any register opcode on it, and then enable it. Mark rings whose restrictions were inherited from the task, and keep checking register opcodes for them while the ring is disabled. Enabling such a ring now requires IORING_REGISTER_ENABLE_RINGS to be in the task's allowed set. Per-ring restrictions registered on a disabled ring work as before. boneIO Black firmware ships with authentication disabled by default. Its management web API listens on all network interfaces and exposes all endpoints without requiring credentials. An unauthenticated remote attacker can fully control the device, causing denial of service, modifying configuration, and operating connected physical circuits. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: a device without an administrator account refuses API requests until the owner creates one in the first-run wizard, and every API route is restricted to an authenticated role. Versions before 1.2.0 are based on Debian 10, are no longer supported and cannot be upgraded in place; affected devices should be re-flashed with the 1.6.0 system image.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: fix napi_disable deadlock when attempting to disable XSK pools When disabling XSK pools, GVE calls the unlocked versions of napi_disable and napi_enable. However, the netdev lock has already been acquired before ndo_bpf is called because GVE supports queue management ops. Calling the unlocked versions of napi_disable/enable results in a deadlock when attempting to disable XSK pools, as the thread attempts to re-acquire a lock it already holds. Update the NAPI calls to use the locked versions. This issue was found in production.

The array is shared by the adapter's connections and initialized with XA_FLAGS_LOCK_BH. However, chcr_ktls_dev_del() and the chcr_ktls_dev_add() error path use xa_erase(), which takes the XArray lock without disabling softirqs. • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7915: disable rx napi when removing device Unloading the mt7915e module withCVE-2026-98957 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7915: disable rx napi when removing device Unloading the mt7915e module with a MT7916 triggers multiples WARN in __netif_napi_del_locked() and in page_pool_disable_direct_recycling() because the driver does not disable the napi before destroying it. This is troublesome since on MT7916 it is required to unload the module and reinsert it with a different enable_6ghz parameter to change the frequency. The system generally becomes unstable after reinserting the module. Fix it by disabling rx napi inside mt7915e itself, even through napi rx is enabled in the mt76 generic code. Disabling it in the mt76 generic code was previously attempted and reverted because napi was disabled too late and rx handlers could access freed structures. Note that the tx side is enabled and disabled by the mt76 generic code. It is disabled in mt7915_stop_hardware() since, unlike mt7915_unregister_device(), is it also called in the probe path if an error happens after rx napi is enabled.

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: Disable the V3D interrupt across runtime suspend vc4_irq_disable() masks the V3D CVE-2026-98946 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: Disable the V3D interrupt across runtime suspend vc4_irq_disable() masks the V3D interrupt sources and then calls synchronize_irq() before the V3D is powered down. However, by itself, this is not enough to quiesce the interrupt handler. synchronize_irq() waits for handlers that have already set IRQD_IRQ_INPROGRESS, and for irqchips reporting IRQCHIP_STATE_ACTIVE. A GIC interrupt chip is able to mark an interrupt active as soon as a CPU acknowledges it, so there these checks cover the whole dispatch path. On RPi 0-3, however, the interrupt controller is ARMCTRL, which has no active state. A CPU that has read the hwirq out of the pending register but has not yet reached handle_level_irq() stays invisible to synchronize_irq(). During a power transition, vc4_irq() may therefore run after the power domain is off, where every V3D register read will return 0xdeadbeef. 0xdeadbeef has FLDONE, FRDONE and OUTOMEM set. This problem doesn't trigger NULL pointer dereference issues only because the functions vc4_irq_finish_bin_job() and vc4_irq_finish_render_job() return early when there is no job pointer, but OUTOME

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: Disable TPM on null key name mismatch The null key name check exists to protect against TPM reset attacks, so a mismatch should stop the device from serving further requests. Currently it does not disable the chip when it finds a mismatch. That worker dequeues and runs every entry on cmd_sync_work_list. With cmd_work disabled nothing reaches the controller, so each queued HCI command waits the full HCI_CMD_TIMEOUT (2s). The backlog has no bound. Userspace can keep queuing MGMT commands such as MGMT_OP_GET_CLOCK_INFO against a controller that doesn't answer. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/boot: Disable trapping of PMZR_EL0 writes to EL2 __init_el2_fgt2() writes one mask to both HDFGRTR2_EL2 and HDFGWTR2_EL2. PMZR_EL0 is write-only, so its trap bit, nPMZR_EL0, exists only in HDFGWTR2_EL2 and is therefore never set: a PMZR_EL0 write from the host traps to EL2, where the nVHE hypervisor has no handler and BUG()s. The kernel never writes PMZR_EL0, but kernel.perf_user_access=1 has the PMU driver set PMUSERENR_EL0.UEN for a task with a user-read event, so a write from EL0 reaches the trap and takes the host down without a panic message. Accumulate the HDFGWTR2_EL2 bits separately, as __init_el2_fgt() already does for HDFGWTR_EL2, and set nPMZR_EL0 with the other FEAT_PMUv3p9 bits.

The Apache Airflow SFTP provider's deferrable code paths (`SFTPTrigger`, `SFTPHookAsync`, `SFTPClientPool`) disable SSH host-key verification by default unless the connection explicitly sets `no_host_key_check` to false. Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs (CWE-184) in the dangerous-extension confirmation of the archive object viewer (peach.pas, grid_obj_open) in PeaZip 10.5.0 through 11.2.0 on Windows allows an attacker who convinces a victim to open an entry of a crafted archive to execute a program, or an arbitrary command, with no confirmation dialog. The prompt (Do you want to run this file?) is gated by SECEXTCONST, a hard-coded list of seven extensions (exe cmd msi bat ps1 vbs reg); the check is an exact string comparison of the entry extension against that list, so it answers only whether the extension is one of the seven and never whether the shell will execute the file. Shell-executable and scripting-host types that Windows runs through ShellExecuteW are absent from the list, among them .url and .lnk. An archived Windows Internet Shortcut (.url) whose URL line is attacker-controlled is launched with no prompt, while the byte-identical content in an entry named .bat does raise the warning in the same session. A .lnk entry raises the ceiling from launching a program to running a command line, because a Windows shortcut carries arguments: a proof-of-concept shortcut targeting cmd.exe with a
