Scrapy is a high-level web crawling and scraping framework for Python. From 1.4.0 until 2.14.2, RefererMiddleware in scrapy/spidermiddlewares/referer.py treated a Referrer-Policy response-header value that resembled a Python import path as a referrer policy class, imported the referenced object, and called it. heym before 0.0.109 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the Slack, Discord, and Crawler workflow nodes. These nodes issue HTTP requests to URLs taken from user-created credentials (webhook_url / flaresolverr_url) using an unguarded HTTP client, bypassing the SSRF egress guard that already protects the HTTP, WebSocket, and MCP nodes; the credential API validates only that the URL is non-empty. Any registered user can create a credential pointing at an internal address and execute a workflow, causing the backend to reach loopback, private, link-local, or cloud-metadata endpoints and return the full response body in the node output (non-blind SSRF).

  • Sep 25, 2026The AIL Framework crawler splash domain page (showDomain.html) is vulnerable to stored cross-site script injection (XSS).CVE-2026-100190 · Other software · ail project · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.3

The AIL Framework crawler splash domain page (showDomain.html) is vulnerable to stored cross-site script injection (XSS). User-supplied data originating from imported crawler captures—specifically item IDs, URLs, and screenshot file paths—was interpolated directly into inline JavaScript contexts within the HTML template. This included an onclick attribute that embedded raw screenshot and URL values into a JavaScript function call, and an inline script block that assigned a screenshot value to a JavaScript variable without escaping. An attacker with a user-role API client could craft a malicious crawler capture import containing JavaScript payloads in these fields. When any user (including privileged users) subsequently viewed the affected domain page, the injected script would execute in the victim's browser context, potentially allowing session hijacking, data exfiltration, or unauthorized actions on behalf of the victim. The vulnerability is stored in the application's data layer and triggered upon page rendering, requiring no further interaction beyond loading the domain view.

  • Sep 25, 2026The AIL Framework crawler task creation API (api_add_crawler_task) contained an insufficient authorization check when a user supplied a cookiejar UUID to attachCVE-2026-100177 · Other software · ail project · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.3

The AIL Framework crawler task creation API (api_add_crawler_task) contained an insufficient authorization check when a user supplied a cookiejar UUID to attach to a one-shot or scheduled crawler task. The original code only verified that the cookiejar existed and, if its access level was 0, compared the cookiejar's owning user ID to the requesting user ID. It did not validate organizational boundaries, did not account for the requesting user's role. When the cookiejar level was not 0, no access check was performed at all. An authenticated user could therefore reference another organization's cookiejar by UUID and have the crawler use that organization's stored cookies (session tokens, authentication credentials) when performing web crawls, effectively leaking or exfiltrating the victim organization's session data. The vulnerability requires an authenticated user with the ability to create crawler tasks. The attacker must know or guess a valid cookiejar UUID belonging to another organization. The impact is unauthorized access to another organization's stored cookies and session data through the crawler infrastructure.

  • Sep 17, 2026Browsertrix is a high-fidelity, browser-based crawling service for web archiving that can be self-hosted or used through Webrecorder's hosted instance.CVE-2026-54501 · Other software · webrecorder · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4

Browsertrix is a high-fidelity, browser-based crawling service for web archiving that can be self-hosted or used through Webrecorder's hosted instance. From 1.15.0 until 1.22.8, Browsertrix improperly sanitizes Git URLs specified as Custom Behaviors, allowing command injection through /api/orgs/*/crawlconfigs/validate/custom-behavior. A user with crawler or administrator permission on the specific instance can supply a crafted Git URL that executes arbitrary operating-system commands in the backend pod. Open registration or hosted free-trial access can make the required role broadly obtainable. Successful exploitation can expose, modify, or delete application database records, archived items, browser profiles, storage data, proxy credentials, and other configured service data. • Sep 1, 2026Scrapy is a high-level web crawling and scraping framework for Python.CVE-2026-84366 · Other software · scrapy · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

Scrapy is a high-level web crawling and scraping framework for Python. Prior to 2.17.0, in scrapy/core/downloader/handlers/s3.py, Scrapy's S3DownloadHandler converts an S3-scheme bucket and key request into a plaintext HTTP request to the corresponding S3 endpoint unless request.meta["is_secure"] is explicitly enabled, then signs and sends the plaintext request with configured AWS credentials. A network attacker who can observe traffic between Scrapy and S3 can read the bucket and key path, AWS Authorization header, X-Amz-Security-Token when temporary credentials are used, S3 object contents, and S3 response headers. An active man-in-the-middle attacker can also modify the plaintext S3 response body, status code, and headers before Scrapy processes them, causing scraped-data poisoning, poisoned exports, HTTP cache poisoning when caching is enabled, or influence over later crawl targets through forged redirects or attacker-controlled links. Users making S3-scheme requests with AWS credentials are affected. This issue is fixed in version 2.17.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026AIL Framework contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its crawler submission functionality.CVE-2026-76164 · Other software · ail-project · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7.1

AIL Framework contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its crawler submission functionality. A low-privileged authenticated user with access to the crawler interface can submit an arbitrary URL for crawling without adequate validation of the destination host. The crawler can therefore be instructed to make direct HTTP(S) requests to addresses that should not be reachable by application users, including loopback addresses, RFC1918 private networks, link-local addresses, and cloud metadata services such as 169.254.169.254. Manual crawler tasks bypass the existing domain blacklist because they are assigned a non-zero priority, and ordinary IP literals are classified as web targets and fetched directly rather than through Tor or another proxy. Consequently, an attacker can use the AIL server as a network pivot to access services available from the server's network context. Responses generated by these requests, including captured HTML, screenshots, and HAR data, can subsequently be accessed through the crawler interface. This makes the SSRF non-blind and may allow an attacker to disclose sensitive internal application data, service information, or cloud inst

The Apify MCP server enables AI agents to extract data from websites using ready-made scrapers, crawlers, and automation tools available on the Apify Store. Prior to 0.10.11, getActorMCPServerURL in src/mcp/actors.ts concatenates the trusted Actor standby URL with the attacker-controlled webServerMcpPath from an Actor definition without verifying the resulting origin, allowing a malicious Actor publisher to use a userinfo-style authority value to redirect connectMCPClient to a third-party host. The call-actor, fetch-actor-details, and actor-mcp tool-loading paths pass this URL to transports in src/mcp/client.ts that attach the victim Authorization bearer token, exposing the Apify API token and enabling access to Actors, stored data, and billable compute. • Aug 10, 2026Firecrawl turns entire websites into LLM-ready markdown or structured data.CVE-2026-72904 · Other software · firecrawl · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

Firecrawl turns entire websites into LLM-ready markdown or structured data. Prior to 2.11.32, a critical arbitrary file read vulnerability exists in Firecrawl's extraction functionality due to unsafe schema dereferencing of user-supplied JSON schemas in apps/api/src/lib/extract/helpers/dereference-schema.ts. The affected code invokes the json-schema-ref-parser dependency with default resolver settings, allowing external and local file references to be resolved during schema processing. An authenticated attacker can supply a malicious schema containing a $ref within default, const, or enum fields that are not traversed by AJV validation. By triggering a dereference error, file contents from the extract worker filesystem may be included in persisted error messages returned through the extraction API, enabling arbitrary file reads and SSRF against internal or external HTTP endpoints. This issue is fixed in version 2.11.32.

  • Aug 6, 2026AIL Framework contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the crawler domain view.CVE-2026-71446 · Other software · ail-project · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9

AIL Framework contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the crawler domain view. Crawled URLs were embedded directly into the JavaScript onclick handler used to display a stored screenshot, without context-appropriate encoding. An attacker who can cause a specially crafted URL to be recorded in the crawler history can inject JavaScript syntax into the stored URL value. The payload remains stored by AIL and is subsequently included in the domain view. When an authenticated analyst clicks the screenshot icon associated with the malicious URL, the injected JavaScript executes in the analyst’s browser within the security context of the AIL Framework application. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to access information available to the analyst’s session, modify displayed content, or perform application actions using the analyst’s privileges. Exploitation requires the victim to interact with the affected screenshot entry. The vulnerability was corrected by serializing the crawled URL with Jinja’s tojson filter before inserting it into the JavaScript handler. This safely escapes characters that could otherwise terminate the JavaScript string and introduce exe

The Apify MCP server enables AI agents to extract data from websites using ready-made scrapers, crawlers, and automation tools available on the Apify Store. Prior to 0.9.21, the fetch-apify-docs tool in src/tools/common/fetch_apify_docs.ts validates allowlisted documentation domains with String.startsWith() rather than URL hostname comparison, allowing attacker-controlled URLs such as `https://docs.apify.com.evil.com/` and `https://docs.apify.com@evil.com/` to pass the ALLOWED_DOC_DOMAINS check and return arbitrary fetched content to the LLM. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.21.

Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM-friendly web crawler and scraper. Prior to 0.9.0, the Docker API server applied its SSRF destination check on the non-streaming /crawl path but not on the streaming path. handle_stream_crawl_request passed seed URLs straight to the crawler with no destination validation, allowing a remote unauthenticated client to call POST /crawl/stream or POST /crawl with crawler_config.stream=true with a URL pointing at an internal, private, or link-local address; the server fetched it and streamed the response body back. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.0.

  • Jul 6, 2026Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM-friendly web crawler and scraper.CVE-2026-57572 · Other software · unclecode · reported by GitHubCritical 10

Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM-friendly web crawler and scraper. Prior to 0.9.0, the Docker API server accepted request-supplied browser_config.extra_args, which flowed into Chromium's launch arguments. An attacker could inject Chromium switches that replace a child-process launch command together with --no-zygote, causing Chromium to fork or exec an attacker-controlled command as the container's runtime user. The Docker API is unauthenticated by default, so a single request yields arbitrary command execution. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.0.

  • Jul 6, 2026Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM-friendly web crawler and scraper.CVE-2026-57571 · Other software · unclecode · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM-friendly web crawler and scraper. Prior to 0.9.0, when the crawler saves a downloaded file, the destination filename was taken from attacker-influenced input and joined to the downloads directory with no confinement. A filename containing an absolute path or traversal escaped the downloads directory, giving an arbitrary file write with attacker-controlled contents; the HTTP crawler path uses the response Content-Disposition filename and the browser crawler path uses the download's suggested filename. Because the written bytes are attacker-controlled, this can escalate to remote code execution. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.0.

  • Jun 23, 2026Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM friendly web crawler & scraper.CVE-2026-53755 · Other software · unclecode · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM friendly web crawler & scraper. Prior to 0.8.9, the Docker API server applied its SSRF destination check to the crawl target URL only, not to the proxy address. An unauthenticated request could supply a proxy pointing at an internal IP and route the browser through it, reaching internal services and cloud-metadata endpoints, while using a perfectly valid crawl URL. The Docker API is unauthenticated by default. /crawl, /crawl/stream, and /crawl/job accept a browser_config (and crawler_config). The following all feed Chromium's egress and were unchecked: browser_config.proxy_config.server, browser_config.proxy (deprecated field), crawler_config.proxy_config.server, and --proxy-server / --proxy-pac-url / --proxy-bypass-list / --host-resolver-rules flags in browser_config.extra_args. • Jun 23, 2026Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM friendly web crawler & scraper.CVE-2026-53754 · Other software · unclecode · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Crawl4AI is an open-source LLM friendly web crawler & scraper. Prior to 0.8.8, the Docker API server's SSRF protection (validate_webhook_url / validate_url_destination in deploy/docker/utils.py) used an explicit IPv4/IPv6 CIDR blocklist that missed several address families. An attacker could reach internal services and cloud metadata endpoints (e.g. 169.254.169.254) despite the filter by encoding an internal IPv4 address inside an IPv6 transition form, or by using the IPv6 unspecified address. Because the Docker API is unauthenticated by default (jwt_enabled: false), no credentials are required. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.8.
