  • Oct 26, 2026jose_jwk:shared_secret/2 (exposed in Elixir as JOSE.JWK.shared_secret/2) derives an ECDH shared secret from two JWKs.CVE-2026-65628 · Other software · potatosalad · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 5.9

jose_jwk:shared_secret/2 (exposed in Elixir as JOSE.JWK.shared_secret/2) derives an ECDH shared secret from two JWKs. Its first function clause only matches when both JWKs carry the same key type (kty) module, and its fallback clause re-invokes itself as shared_secret(from(YourJWK), from(MyJWK)). Because from/1 returns an already-parsed jose_jwk record unchanged, passing two JWKs whose key types differ (for example an EC key and an RSA key) makes the fallback clause re-enter with identical arguments, producing an unbounded tail-recursive loop that never returns and never crashes. An application that derives a shared secret from an externally supplied peer public key without first checking that the peer key's type and curve match its own key can be driven into this loop by an attacker-controlled JWK, pinning an Erlang scheduler at 100% CPU. Repeated requests exhaust the available schedulers, resulting in a denial of service. This issue affects jose: from 1.5.0 before 1.11.13.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: atmel-ecc - reject hardware ECDH without a public key The hardware ECDH path in atCVE-2026-93160 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: atmel-ecc - reject hardware ECDH without a public key The hardware ECDH path in atmel_ecdh_compute_shared_secret() uses the private key stored in the device. However, the public key is cached only after atmel_ecdh_set_secret() successfully generated that private key for the current tfm. atmel_ecdh_generate_public_key() already rejects requests when no public key is cached. Add the same check to atmel_ecdh_compute_shared_secret() to prevent the device from using a private key that was not generated for the current tfm.

Kyverno versions 1.9.4 and earlier support insecure 3DES cipher suites (TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA and TLS_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA) on their TLS endpoints. These 64-bit block ciphers are vulnerable to the Sweet32 attack (CVE-2016-2183), which, over very long-lived TLS connections carrying large volumes of traffic, could allow an attacker to recover small amounts of plaintext. The issue is fixed in Kyverno 1.9.5 and 1.10.0.

libcrux-ecdh and libcrux-ed25519 before 0.0.6, and libcrux-psq before 0.0.7, contain cryptographic implementation bugs. libcrux-ecdh did not properly check length and clamping during X25519 secret validation (and had a broken clamping check for imported X25519 secret keys); libcrux-ed25519 performed a duplicated clamping step during key generation; and libcrux-psq panicked instead of propagating an AEADError. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ecdh - explicitly zeroize private_key private_key is overwritten with the key parameter passed in by the caller (if present), or alternatively a newly generated private key. However, it is possible that the caller provides a key (or the newly generated key) which is shorter than the previous key. In that scenario, some key material from the previous key would not be overwritten. The easiest solution is to explicitly zeroize the entire private_key array first. Note that this patch slightly changes the behavior of this function: previously, if the ecc_gen_privkey failed, the old private_key would remain. Now, the private_key is always zeroized. This behavior is consistent with the case where params.key is set and ecc_is_key_valid fails.

go-jose before 1.0.4 suffers from an invalid curve attack for the ECDH-ES algorithm. When deriving a shared key using ECDH-ES for an encrypted message, go-jose neglected to check that the received public key on a message is on the same curve as the static private key of the receiver, thus making it vulnerable to an invalid curve attack.

The TLS protocol 1.2 and earlier supports the rsa_fixed_dh, dss_fixed_dh, rsa_fixed_ecdh, and ecdsa_fixed_ecdh values for ClientCertificateType but does not directly document the ability to compute the master secret in certain situations with a client secret key and server public key but not a server secret key, which makes it easier for man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof TLS servers by leveraging knowledge of the secret key for an arbitrary installed client X.509 certificate, aka the "Key Compromise Impersonation (KCI)" issue.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
