  • Oct 6, 2026Improper Neutralization of Null Byte or NUL Character vulnerability in the OutputDebugStringAppender of Apache log4net.CVE-2026-105240 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.3

Improper Neutralization of Null Byte or NUL Character vulnerability in the OutputDebugStringAppender of Apache log4net. A NUL character in logged content ended the debug output record at that point, so everything the layout rendered after it, including exception text and trailing fields, was silently lost. A party whose data reaches a log message could hide the rest of that record. Only applications on Windows that use OutputDebugStringAppender are affected. This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.9 before 3.5.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: vlan: fix bugs caused by switchdev deletion errors Allowing switchdev to prevent vlan deletion and error out in __vlan_del could cause multiple different issues - inconsistent state, memory leaks when flushing, NULL pointer dereference on bridge error when flushing. It doesn't make sense to allow it to stop __vlan_del, so log the error and continue with software vlan deletion. This is also consistent with 8021q behaviour.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: stm32: dcmi: fix some error handling bugs in probe() There are a few issues here: 1) After we assign: chan = dma_request_chan(&pdev->dev, "tx"); Then the error paths need to clean up before returning. The first error path does a direct return. 2) The error paths check "dcmi->mdma_chan" but that is not assigned until later so it results in memory leaks. Test "mdma_chan" instead. 3) The error handling calls dma_release_channel(dcmi->dma_chan) before "dcmi->dma_chan" has been assigned which leads to a NULL pointer dereference. Use the "chan" variable instead. I also moved the call to dma_release_channel() after the call to dma_release_channel() so it mirrors the allocation code better.

  • Sep 15, 2026Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool.CVE-2026-53954 · Other software · bugsink · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool. Prior to version 2.2.2, Bugsink stores every set of custom tags supplied with an incoming event, allowing a caller with a valid project DSN to submit an unusually large tag set and force excessive tag-row writes. Because Bugsink uses a single-writer database architecture, the expensive write transaction delays digestion of other events and causes a temporary ingestion denial of service. Version 2.2.2 applies the configurable MAX_EVENT_TAGS limit before storage. The impact is limited to availability for an instance accepting the event and does not expose stored data, modify existing events, or allow code execution. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.2.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: fix gssx_dec_option_array error path bugs Four coupled defects in the gssx XDR optCVE-2026-89544 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: fix gssx_dec_option_array error path bugs Four coupled defects in the gssx XDR option-array decoder make the error paths unsafe: a NULL deref in the caller, a refcount leak on the decoded group_info, and a latent use-after-free that the leak fix would otherwise expose. gssx_dec_option_array() sets oa->count = 1 before allocating oa->data. If that allocation fails, -ENOMEM is returned with oa->count == 1 and oa->data == NULL. All other error paths jump to free_oa: which frees oa->data and NULLs it but also leaves oa->count == 1. The caller trusts the count: gssp_accept_sec_context_upcall() gssx_dec_accept_sec_context() gssx_dec_option_array() /* fails, count=1 data=NULL */ data = res.options.data[0].value /* NULL deref */ Independently, free_creds: releases the partially decoded svc_cred with a bare kfree(creds). gssx_dec_linux_creds() installs a groups_alloc() result into creds->cr_group_info; that object is kvmalloc-backed and refcounted, and only put_group_info() reaches kvfree(). A plain kfree(creds) drops the wrapper and leaks the group_info allocation. The natu

  • Aug 11, 2026Velociraptor's NTFS parsing library mishandles several out of bound and memory exhaustion bugs which may be triggered by maliciously crafted NTFS images.CVE-2026-17535 · Other software · Rapid7 · reported by cve@rapid7.comMedium 6.2

Velociraptor's NTFS parsing library mishandles several out of bound and memory exhaustion bugs which may be triggered by maliciously crafted NTFS images. Typically Velociraptor's NTFS parser is used on live NTFS filesystems, limiting the opportunity of attackers corrupting the filesystem. However, in some applications (e.g.  dead disk forensics https://docs.velociraptor.app/docs/forensic/deaddisk/ ) Velociraptor may be used on untrusted NTFS image files.  If an attacker is able to inject maliciously corrupted NTFS Volumes they can cause a crash and a Denial of Service.

  • Aug 10, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: vivid: fix cleanup bugs in vivid_init() When platform_device_register() fails in viCVE-2026-68203 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: vivid: fix cleanup bugs in vivid_init() When platform_device_register() fails in vivid_init(), the embedded struct device in vivid_pdev has already been initialized by device_initialize(), but the failure path jumps to free_output_strings without dropping the device reference for the current platform device: vivid_init() -> platform_device_register(&vivid_pdev) -> device_initialize(&vivid_pdev.dev) -> setup_pdev_dma_masks(&vivid_pdev) -> platform_device_add(&vivid_pdev) This leads to a reference leak when platform_device_register() fails. Fix this by calling platform_device_put() before jumping to the common cleanup path. Also, the unreg_driver label incorrectly calls platform_driver_register() instead of platform_driver_unregister(), which breaks cleanup when workqueue creation fails after successful driver registration. Fix that as well. The reference leak was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. The incorrect cleanup call was found during code inspection.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/bugs: Make Safe-RET robust against interrupt injection An attacker injecting interrupts while the Safe-RET mitigation executes on machines affected by SRSO can neutralize the safe return sequence, potentially leading to data leakage through speculative execution. • Jul 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: rockchip: teardown bugs and resource leaks Address several teardown issues and resouCVE-2026-64241 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: rockchip: teardown bugs and resource leaks Address several teardown issues and resource leaks in the driver's remove path and error handling: 1. Debounce clock reference leak: The debounce clock (bank->db_clk) is obtained using of_clk_get() which increments the clock's reference count, but clk_put() is never called. Register a devm action to cleanly release it on unbind. Note that of_clk_get(..., 1) remains necessary over devm_clk_get() because the DT binding does not define clock-names, precluding name-based lookup. 2. Unregistered chained IRQ handler: The chained IRQ handler is not disconnected in remove(). If a stray interrupt fires after the driver is removed, the kernel attempts to execute a stale handler, leading to a panic. Fix this by clearing the handler in remove(). 3. IRQ domain leak: The linear IRQ domain and its generic chips are allocated manually during probe but never removed. Remove the IRQ domain during driver teardown to free the associated generic chips and mappings. [Bartosz: don't emit an error message on devres allocation failure]

The race condition can occur as follows: CPU 0 (removal path) | CPU 1 (workqueue) mt7996_pci_remove() | mt7996_sys_recovery_set() mt7996_unregister_device() | mt7996_reset() mt7996_coredump_unregister() | queue_work() vfree(dev->coredump.crash_data) | mt7996_mac_dump_work() | crash_data-> // UAF Fix this by ensuring dump_work is properly canceled before the crash_data is deallocated. Add cancel_work_sync() in mt7996_unregister_device() to synchronize with any pending or executing dump work.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib/scatterlist: fix length calculations in extract_kvec_to_sg Patch series "Fix bugs in extract_iter_to_sg()", v3. Fix bugs in the kvec and user variants of extract_iter_to_sg. This series is growing due to useful remarks made by sashiko.dev. The main bugs are: - The length for an sglist entry when extracting from a kvec can exceed the number of bytes in the page. This is obviously not intended. - When extracting a user buffer the sglist is temporarily used as a scratch buffer for extracted page pointers. If the sglist already contains some elements this scratch buffer could overlap with existing entries in the sglist. The series adds test cases to the kunit_iov_iter test that demonstrate all of these bugs. Additionally, there is a memory leak fix for the test itself. The bugs were orignally introduced into kernel v6.3 where the function lived in fs/netfs/iterator.c. It was later moved to lib/scatterlist.c in v6.5. Thus the actual fix is only marked for backports to v6.5+. This patch (of 5): When extracting from a kvec to a scatterlist, do not cross page boundaries. The required length was

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Fix pin leak and publication ordering in __pkvm_init_vcpu() Two bugs exist in the vCPU initialisation path: 1. If a check fails after hyp_pin_shared_mem() succeeds, the cleanup path jumps to 'unlock' without calling unpin_host_vcpu() or unpin_host_sve_state(), permanently leaking pin references on the host vCPU and SVE state pages. Extract a register_hyp_vcpu() helper that performs the checks and the store. When register_hyp_vcpu() returns an error, call unpin_host_vcpu() and unpin_host_sve_state() inline before falling through to the existing 'unlock' label. 2. register_hyp_vcpu() publishes the new vCPU pointer into 'hyp_vm->vcpus[]' with a bare store, allowing a concurrent caller of pkvm_load_hyp_vcpu() to observe a partially initialised vCPU object. Ensure the store uses smp_store_release() and the load uses smp_load_acquire(). While 'vm_table_lock' currently serialises the store and the load, these barriers ensure the reader sees the fully initialised 'hyp_vcpu' object even if there were a lockless path or if the lock's own ordering guarantees were

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pt5161l) Fix bugs in pt5161l_read_block_data() Fix two bugs in pt5161l_read_block_data(): 1. Buffer overrun: The local buffer rbuf is declared as u8 rbuf[24], but i2c_smbus_read_block_data() can return up to I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX (32) bytes. The i2c-core copies the data into the caller's buffer before the return value can be checked, so the post-read length validation does not prevent a stack overrun if a device returns more than 24 bytes. Resize the buffer to I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX. 2. Unexpected positive return on length mismatch: When all three retries are exhausted because the device returns data with an unexpected length, i2c_smbus_read_block_data() returns a positive byte count. The function returns this directly, and callers treat any non-negative return as success, processing stale or incomplete buffer contents. Return -EIO when retries are exhausted with a positive return value, preserving the negative error code on I2C failure.

Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool. Prior to 2.2.0, Bugsink resolved sourcemaps and debug files by debug ID without scoping that lookup to the project that owned the uploaded metadata. An authenticated user with access to one project could cause event processing in that project to use sourcemap/debug-file metadata uploaded for another project in the same Bugsink instance, if the same debug ID was referenced. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.2.0.

Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool. Prior to 2.2.0, Bugsink issue event pages accept a direct event identifier from the URL and, in affected versions, look up that event without also requiring it to belong to the issue in the URL. This is a project-boundary authorization issue: a logged-in user with access to one project can view another project’s event data through an issue they are allowed to access. The affected views include the stacktrace, details, and breadcrumbs pages for an issue event. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.2.0.

  • May 26, 2026Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool.CVE-2026-44502 · Other software · bugsink · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

Bugsink is a self-hosted error tracking tool. Prior to 2.1.3, Bugsink’s webhook URL validation could be (partially) bypassed because of a mismatch in URL parsing. The original validation logic parsed webhook URLs with Python’s urllib.parse.urlparse, then sent the request with requests.post. For malformed inputs involving backslashes and @, those components can disagree about where the authority ends and which hostname is the real target. A URL may therefore appear to target an allowlisted public hostname during validation, while the HTTP client actually connects to a different host. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.3.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix die ID init and look up bugs In snbep_pci2phy_map_init(), in the nr_node_ids > 8 path, uncore_device_to_die() may return -1 when all CPUs associated with the UBOX device are offline. Remove the WARN_ON_ONCE(die_id == -1) check for two reasons: - The current code breaks out of the loop. This is incorrect because pci_get_device() does not guarantee iteration in domain or bus order, so additional UBOX devices may be skipped during the scan. - Returning -EINVAL is incorrect, since marking offline buses with die_id == -1 is expected and should not be treated as an error. Separately, when NUMA is disabled on a NUMA-capable platform, pcibus_to_node() returns NUMA_NO_NODE, causing uncore_device_to_die() to return -1 for all PCI devices. As a result, spr_update_device_location(), used on Intel SPR and EMR, ignores the corresponding PMON units and does not add them to the RB tree. Fix this by using uncore_pcibus_to_dieid(), which retrieves topology from the UBOX GIDNIDMAP register and works regardless of whether NUMA is enabled in Linux. This requires snbep_pci2phy_map_init() to be a
