  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: don't truncate the port group walk on teardown __br_multicast_disable_CVE-2026-99117 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: don't truncate the port group walk on teardown __br_multicast_disable_port_ctx() and br_multicast_del_port() walk port->mglist with hlist_for_each_entry_safe(). However, br_multicast_find_del_pg() can also delete other entries from the same list through br_multicast_fwd_src_remove() or __fwd_del_star_excl(). If such an entry is the iterator's saved next node, hlist_del_init() clears its ->next and terminates the walk early. The reproducer triggers this in both teardown walks, leaving port groups in the bridge mdb with a dangling ->key.port after del_nbp() frees the port: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 __mdb_fill_info+0x1191/0x1320 br_mdb_dump+0x594/0xe40 rtnl_mdb_dump+0x1cf/0x5d0 Use hlist_del_init_rcu() to unlink the group while preserving ->next. br_multicast_del_pg() and the teardown walks run under br->multicast_lock. The GC worker must acquire the same lock before detaching the group for destruction, so the node remains alive while the walk uses the preserved pointer. Preserving ->next means a walk can now reach a group that an earlier iter

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: avoid recursive multicast port cleanup br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports() reCVE-2026-99031 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: avoid recursive multicast port cleanup br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports() removes automatically added STAR_EXCL port groups by calling br_multicast_del_pg(). For S,G entries, that deletion calls back into br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports(), so a large number of STAR_EXCL ports consumes one kernel stack frame per port and can hit the stack guard page. Keep the complete port-group deletion path for cleanup, but suppress the S,G exclude-port cleanup while that helper is already walking the same entry. Normal deletion callers retain the existing behavior.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: Fix unlocked list_del in drm_bridge_add() When re-adding a bridge that was previously removed, drm_bridge_add() drops it from bridge_lingering_list without holding bridge_lock. Both bridge_list and bridge_lingering_list are protected by bridge_lock, as they are concurrently modified by drm_bridge_remove() and __drm_bridge_free(), and walked by the debugfs 'bridges' file. Running the list_empty() test and the list_del_init() outside of the lock may therefore corrupt either list. Perform both under bridge_lock.

  • Oct 19, 2026CLI Bridge provides filesystem access within a workspace root.CVE-2026-111045 · Other software · anshupriyan · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

CLI Bridge provides filesystem access within a workspace root. Prior to 0.0.2, a dangling symlink pointing outside the workspace root bypasses resolveSafePath when fs.realpathSync throws ENOENT for a nonexistent target. The fallback resolves only the parent directory and returns the symlink path as safe, so write_file follows the link and can write arbitrary files outside the workspace root. This issue is fixed in version 0.0.2.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: samsung-dsim: fix TE GPIO lifetime for host attach When the Exynos DSI driver CVE-2026-98605 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: samsung-dsim: fix TE GPIO lifetime for host attach When the Exynos DSI driver was generalized into samsung-dsim, the TE GPIO acquisition was switched from gpiod_get_optional() to devm_gpiod_get_optional() while keeping the matching gpiod_put() calls. That combination is wrong for a managed descriptor. However, dropping the puts and keeping the managed get is also wrong: samsung_dsim_register_te_irq() runs from the DSI host attach callback, and host detach/reattach can happen without destroying the device that owns the managed action. A second attach would then request the GPIO again without having released it. Switch back to a non-managed gpiod_get_optional() and keep the explicit gpiod_put() on the request_irq() error path and in samsung_dsim_unregister_te_irq(). [Luca: remove unnecessary comment]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: of_property: Omit bus properties without a subordinate bus A bridge (a device with a Type 1 header) may not have a secondary bus allocated (pdev->subordinate), e.g., if there are no available bus numbers or the bridge secondary/subordinate bus numbers are not writable. The dynamic OF helpers of_pci_prop_bus_range() and of_pci_prop_intr_map() dereference pdev->subordinate without checking it. When CONFIG_PCI_DYNAMIC_OF_NODES is enabled, this can cause a NULL pointer dereference and early boot hang. Generate 'bus-range' and 'interrupt-map' properties only when a subordinate bus exists. Keep the node and its remaining properties for bridges without one. The problem was latent since 407d1a51921e ("PCI: Create device tree node for bridge"), but wasn't reachable until 1f340724419e ("PCI: of: Create device tree PCI host bridge node"), which appeared in v6.15. Before 1f340724419e, of_pci_make_dev_node() returned early because the parent OF node was missing. [bhelgaas: move pdev->subordinate test to callees, commit log]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mdb: restart port group walk after deletion br_mdb_flush_pgs() keeps a pointer-to-pointer cursor while walking mp->ports. br_multicast_del_pg() can re-enter the same MDB entry through br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports() and unlink other port groups. If the cursor points into one of those groups, the next iteration dereferences a stale cursor and can leave mp->ports pointing at freed memory. A following RTM_GETMDB exposes the dangling pointer: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in br_mdb_dump Read of size 8 br_mdb_dump rtnl_mdb_dump rtnl_dumpit netlink_dump Reset the cursor to mp->ports after every deletion. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mst: move switchdev call outside rcu This is a follow-up of one of sashiko's pre-existing bug reports. br_mst_set_state() calls switchdev_port_attr_set() for nonzero MSTIs while holding rcu_read_lock() which invokes the blocking switchdev notifier chain and may sleep. Nonzero MSTI changes come from netlink with rtnl held. Move the switchdev call before entering the rcu section and assert that rtnl is held. The call cannot be deferred because netlink needs its error and extack. Also DSA reads the old bridge MST state during the callback and checks it. A deferred callback will be late and will see the updated state.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: properly convert mglist to rcu Sashiko reported a bug [1] that br_multicast_del_port_group unlists the port group not using proper rcu helper that preserves the next pointer and after that immediately frees the port group without waiting for rcu grace period. The only rcu walker of mglist is br_multicast_list_adjacent() and it turns out that function has always been buggy because mglist was never properly converted to RCU. Fix it by converting it to rcu and moving its initialization after eth_addr's. Initializing p->next can use RCU_INIT_POINTER because we have a barrier from the hlist_add_head_rcu call later, besides we're initializing an unpublished structure anyway. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: use option bits for CFM/MRP frame handlers CFM and MRP register a global br_frame_type whose hlist_node is linked into the per-bridge frame_type_list when the first MEP/MRP instance is created. Enabling the protocol on multiple bridges therefore inserts the same node into multiple lists. Unregistering it on one bridge then corrupts list state belonging to another. These handlers can only be installed once per bridge, and they are uncommon. Track their per-bridge enable state with net_bridge option bits, which already live on the Rx hot cache line, and dispatch the matching handler directly from the receive path. Check both bits together first as an unlikely case. Remove the generic frame_type_list and br_frame_type helpers, which have had no other users since CFM and MRP were added. That shrinks struct net_bridge by 8 bytes and drops the list walk from the fast path. When neither protocol is compiled in, BR_CFM_MRP_OPTS is 0 and the compiler prunes the branch.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpaa2-switch: rework FDB management on the bridge leave path On bridge leave, the dpaa2_swCVE-2026-97436 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpaa2-switch: rework FDB management on the bridge leave path On bridge leave, the dpaa2_switch_port_set_fdb() function always allocates a new FDB for the port which is becoming standalone. In case no FDB is found, then the port leaving a bridge will continue to use the current one. The above logic does not cover the case in which there are multiple bridges which have ports from the same DPSW instance. In this case, when the last port leaves bridge #1, it finds an unused FDB to switch to, but the old FDB is not marked as unused. Since the number of FDBs is equal to the number of DPSW interfaces, this will eventually lead to multiple ports sharing the same FDB. Fix this by changing how we are managing the FDBs on the leave path. Instead of directly allocating a new FDB, first verify if the current port is the last one to leave a bridge. If this is the case, then continue to use the current FDB and only allocate another FDB if there are other ports remaining in the bridge.

  • Sep 18, 2026vm2 through 3.12.0 (fixed in 3.12.1) does not correctly handle a nullish `this` receiver in the apply trap of its bridge (lib/bridge.js): when sandboxed code caCVE-2026-93603 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckCritical 10

vm2 through 3.12.0 (fixed in 3.12.1) does not correctly handle a nullish `this` receiver in the apply trap of its bridge (lib/bridge.js): when sandboxed code calls a host-provided non-strict (sloppy-mode) function without a receiver — e.g. `fn()`, a detached method, `fn.call()`, `fn.apply(undefined)`, `Reflect.apply(fn, undefined, [])`, or `fn.bind()()` — the undefined receiver is passed straight through to the host call, and V8 substitutes the host realm's global object for `this`. vm2 then wraps and returns that object to the sandbox, giving sandboxed script a live proxy of the host global. This allows a complete sandbox escape: untrusted script can reach `process` and execute arbitrary code/commands on the host (for example via `process.getBuiltinModule('child_process').execSync`). Exploitation requires that the embedding application expose at least one non-strict host function to the sandbox; strict-mode and ES module host functions are not affected.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: tc358767: clamp the reported AUX read size to the request tc_aux_transfer() clCVE-2026-93067 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: tc358767: clamp the reported AUX read size to the request tc_aux_transfer() clamps an AUX read to the payload limit: size_t size = min_t(size_t, DP_AUX_MAX_PAYLOAD_BYTES - 1, msg->size); After the transfer it replaces size with the byte count the controller reports in AUX_BYTES: if (size) size = FIELD_GET(AUX_BYTES, auxstatus); AUX_BYTES is GENMASK(15, 8), so it can be up to 255. Nothing clamps it back to the request. tc_aux_read_data() reads that many bytes into the 16-byte auxrdata stack buffer, then copies them into the caller buffer. A reported count of 255 makes the read run to 256 bytes and overruns both. The controller should never report more than it was asked to transfer, so this is defense in depth rather than a live hole. The reported count is only lightly trusted, and the check is cheap. Clamp it back to the request, the same way ti-sn65dsi86 does in commit aca58eac52b8 ("drm/bridge: ti-sn65dsi86: Never store more than msg->size bytes in AUX xfer").

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: Reject descending VLAN tunnel ranges A pair of descending VLAN and tunnel IDsCVE-2026-90114 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: Reject descending VLAN tunnel ranges A pair of descending VLAN and tunnel IDs can pass the tunnel range span check. The VLAN subtraction produces a negative int, which is converted to unsigned when compared with the u32 tunnel ID subtraction. It can therefore equal the wrapped tunnel ID delta. The range loop then performs no iterations. Since the batched notification handling added a post-loop error check, this leaves err uninitialized and makes the request's return value unpredictable. Reject descending VLAN ranges before comparing the spans. Valid ascending and single-entry ranges remain unchanged, while malformed descending ranges consistently return -EINVAL. This issue was found by a static analysis checker and confirmed by manual source review.

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the PC bridge protocol decoder of BoschSensortec COINES_SDK (versions 2.10 through 2.12.2) allows attackers to cause a denial of service (process crash) or potentially execute arbitrary code. The bridge decoder ({{bridge_decoder.c}}) trusts the packet length field provided by the external device and forwards it to the host response queue ({{mqueue_add_data}}) without validating the bounds of the destination buffer. A malicious or compromised USB or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) peripheral can advertise a payload size up to ~3 KB, which exceeds the default queue slot size of 255 bytes. This results in an unbounded heap overwrite ({{memcpy}}), corrupting adjacent heap metadata on the host system when processing the device's response.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mcast: fix use-after-free of a master VLAN's multicast context br_multicast_toggle_one_vlan() clears BR_VLFLAG_MCAST_ENABLED under br->multicast_lock before stopping a VLAN's multicast context. That is the teardown handshake: lockless readers gate on the flag through br_multicast_ctx_should_use() -> br_multicast_ctx_vlan_disabled(), so once it is cleared under the lock no reader can arm the context again. For a master VLAN the handshake never runs. __vlan_del() clears BRIDGE_VLAN_INFO_BRENTRY before calling br_vlan_put_master(), so br_multicast_toggle_one_vlan(masterv, false) returns early on !br_vlan_is_brentry(vlan): the flag stays set and br->multicast_lock is never taken. br_vlan_put_master() then drains the context in br_multicast_ctx_deinit() and frees the VLAN through call_rcu(), while a reader still inside rcu_read_lock() sees the context as enabled and re-arms it. The port and port-VLAN branch of the function has no br_vlan_is_brentry() test and flips the flag under br->multicast_lock, so it is not affected. The reader is the bridge transmit path. For a master VLAN br_multicast_rcv()
