  • Oct 6, 2026Kiota is an OpenAPI based HTTP Client code generator.CVE-2026-105796 · Computers, phones & browsers · microsoft · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Kiota is an OpenAPI based HTTP Client code generator. From 0.5.0 until 1.35.0, Kiota's Java and PHP documentation-comment sanitizers delete block-comment terminators rather than neutralizing them, allowing overlapping characters to reform a terminator and place attacker-controlled OpenAPI text outside a generated documentation comment. The Java sanitizer also removes non-ASCII characters after deleting terminators, which can create a new terminator during normalization. Exploitation requires a developer or build pipeline to generate source from the malicious description and then compile and load the Java output or load the PHP output, after which injected code executes in the consuming application or build environment context. The version range is based on the Java defect and does not assert that PHP generation existed in every affected release. This issue is fixed in version 1.35.0.

  • Oct 6, 2026Kiota is an OpenAPI based HTTP Client code generator.CVE-2026-105795 · Computers, phones & browsers · microsoft · reported by GitHubLow 3.1

Kiota is an OpenAPI based HTTP Client code generator. From 1.25.1 until 1.35.0, Kiota copies x-ai-capabilities.response_semantics.oauth_card_path from an attacker-controlled or compromised OpenAPI description into a generated API plugin manifest without validating that the value is a safe package-relative file reference. Parent-directory traversal, rooted paths, or absolute URIs can therefore reach a consuming host that resolves the reference, allowing the host to cross the intended plugin-package boundary or use an unintended authentication card. Kiota does not itself read a local file or execute code merely while generating the manifest, and impact requires downstream resolution of the unsafe reference. This issue is fixed in version 1.35.0.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rtrs: guard against null kobj name In the client, if `init_path()` errors, the calleeCVE-2026-98355 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rtrs: guard against null kobj name In the client, if `init_path()` errors, the callee tries to clean up with `rtrs_clt_close_conns()`. However, this can lead to calling the event tracing code with `clt_path->kobj->name` being `NULL` and thus causing a null pointer dereference when trying to copy from it. This just adds a guard to check that the name is not `NULL` before copying from it. The server appears to have a similar pattern.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rtrs-clt: Fix CQ pool leak when connect is interrupted The client borrows shared CQ cCVE-2026-98352 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rtrs-clt: Fix CQ pool leak when connect is interrupted The client borrows shared CQ credits in the ADDR_RESOLVED handler via ib_cq_pool_get(), before the peer is connected. create_cm() can return -ERESTARTSYS from wait_event_interruptible_timeout() without destroying the CM ID. The init_conns() and stop-and-destroy paths then call destroy_con_cq_qp() while cq is still NULL (no PUT) and only afterwards rdma_destroy_id(). CMA serializes the handler against rdma_destroy_id() with handler_mutex, but that does not order the GET against destroy_con_cq_qp(). If ADDR_RESOLVED has already passed the DESTROYING check, it can take con_mutex, GET credits, and then lose the con to kfree. Device unregister later hits WARN_ON(cq->cqe_used) in ib_cq_pool_cleanup(). Set a per-connection flag under con_mutex before CQ/QP teardown so a racing ADDR_RESOLVED cannot borrow credits after teardown has begun.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: validate absolute native symlink targets before NT fixups With symlinkroot unCVE-2026-98318 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: validate absolute native symlink targets before NT fixups With symlinkroot unset, an absolute target is copied without conversion to an NT drive path. Later code still assumes an NT prefix is present when modifying the target and calculating the print name length. For "/ab", this causes two failures: sym[5] and path[5] are written past their allocations, and plen -= 2 * poff subtracts an assumed 8-byte prefix from a 6-byte UTF-16 target, wrapping u16 plen to 65534. That underflow causes another overflow: memcpy() copies 65534 bytes into a 24-byte buffer. A user with write access to a mounted share can trigger these bugs with default settings. Validate the NT drive prefix, including an ASCII drive letter, before accessing fixed offsets or subtracting the prefix length.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix rlist race and missing initialization TCP_Server_Info.rlist is allocated via kzalloc which zeros both ->next and ->prev to NULL instead of pointing to itself, making list_empty() always return false and list_add() dereference a NULL ->prev pointer. • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix use-after-free of iface in cifs_try_adding_channels() cifs_try_adding_chaCVE-2026-98173 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix use-after-free of iface in cifs_try_adding_channels() cifs_try_adding_channels() iterates ses->iface_list with list_for_each_entry_safe_from(), which captures the next entry (niface) under iface_lock. The loop body then drops iface_lock for the whole duration of cifs_ses_add_channel(). A concurrent interface refresh (SMB3_request_interfaces() -> parse_server_interfaces()) marks all ifaces inactive and removes and frees any that are not re-advertised via list_del() + kref_put(), where release_iface() is a bare kfree(). Since niface typically has no channel holding a reference, the list reference is its last and it can be freed inside the unlocked window. On continue, the iterator advance step then dereferences niface->iface_head.next, and the loop body reads iface->rdma_capable/is_active, both on freed memory. Fix this by never keeping an unreferenced list pointer across the unlocked window. Each channel attempt now re-scans the list from the head under iface_lock, takes a kref on the selected candidate, and passes only that referenced candidate to cifs_ses_add_channel(). weight_fulfilled st

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix smbd_connection leak on cifs_get_tcp_session() error When an RDMA connection is successfully established via smbd_get_connection() but cifs_get_tcp_session() later fails (e.g. kthread_create() returns an error), the error path frees tcp_ses without first destroying the smbd_connection. Fix this by calling smbd_destroy() in the out_err cleanup path before kfree(tcp_ses). smbd_destroy() safely handles the case where smbd_conn is NULL, so it can be called unconditionally.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix next_buffer UAF and NextCommand bounds in compound PDUs Fix several related bounds checking and pointer lifecycle issues in receive_encrypted_standard()'s handling of compound encrypted frames: - Clear next_buffer after assigning it to server->bigbuf. A stale next_buffer pointer can lead to a use-after-free on subsequent error paths. - Update pdu_length to the decrypted plaintext size (buf_size). Using the pre-decryption length allows NextCommand to point into stale ciphertext residue. - Reject next_cmd values smaller than MID_HEADER_SIZE(server). - Fix an integer overflow in the upper bound check by verifying pdu_length - next_cmd < MID_HEADER_SIZE(server), ensuring the trailing slice is large enough for a header.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix OOB struct field reads in move_smb2_ea_to_cifs() In move_smb2_ea_to_cifs(CVE-2026-98170 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix OOB struct field reads in move_smb2_ea_to_cifs() In move_smb2_ea_to_cifs(), the while (src_size > 0) loop condition is insufficient. It allows iteration to continue even if the remaining src_size is too small to contain a complete smb2_ea_info structure. Consequently, reads of ea_name_length and ea_value_length can occur out-of-bounds. Fix this by ensuring src_size >= sizeof(*src) before attempting to read any structure fields. Additionally, reject any next_entry_offset that is smaller than sizeof(*src) or that would advance the pointer beyond the available buffer. Note that for calls where the server returns a malformed EA list, the error returned to userspace changes from -ENODATA (getxattr) or -ERANGE (listxattr) to -EIO. This correctly signals a server protocol error rather than misleadingly indicating "attribute not present" or "output buffer too small".

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix potential OOB read in smb3_enum_snapshots() If snapshot_array_size is smaCVE-2026-98169 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix potential OOB read in smb3_enum_snapshots() If snapshot_array_size is smaller than GMT_TOKEN_SIZE, smb3_enum_snapshots() sets ret_data_len to sizeof(struct smb_snapshot_array) without verifying the actual length of the server's reply. Because SMB2_ioctl() places no lower bound on the server-supplied OutputCount and allocates retbuf to exactly that length, a short reply results in ret_data_len exceeding the size of retbuf. The subsequent copy_to_user() then reads past the end of retbuf, leaking adjacent slab memory to userspace. The subsequent clamp check is ineffective as it only reduces ret_data_len. Fix this by rejecting replies shorter than sizeof(struct smb_snapshot_array) with -EIO. Note that the bound is set to the 12-byte struct size rather than the 16-byte MIN_SNAPSHOT_ARRAY_SIZE defined in MS-SMB2 3.3.5.15.1, because 12 bytes is exactly what copy_to_user() attempts to read.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix reparse buffer bounds in cifs_query_reparse_point() In cifs_query_reparseCVE-2026-98168 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix reparse buffer bounds in cifs_query_reparse_point() In cifs_query_reparse_point(), the start >= end check before casting to struct reparse_data_buffer * only ensures the start pointer is within the response. It fails to verify that there is enough space remaining for the fixed 8-byte header of the structure. If a server provides a DataOffset that leaves less than 8 bytes remaining, the check passes, but subsequent reads of ReparseTag and ReparseDataLength will occur out-of-bounds. Fix this by ensuring the remaining space is at least the size of the reparse_data_buffer structure before accessing its fields.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix server->total_read for compound encrypted PDUs In receive_encrypted_standCVE-2026-98167 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix server->total_read for compound encrypted PDUs In receive_encrypted_standard(), server->total_read is left at the full decrypted frame size when walking sub-PDUs of a compound encrypted frame. As a result, cifs_handle_standard() passes this full size to smb2_check_message(), causing the PDU length guards to incorrectly validate the entire compound frame instead of the current sub-PDU. This allows truncated non-last sub-PDUs to bypass length validation, leading to out-of-bounds reads in smb2_get_data_area_len(). Fix this by setting server->total_read to the true length of the current sub-PDU: next_cmd for non-last sub-PDUs, and the remaining pdu_length for the last one.

In ldapd in OpenBSD 7.8 before errata 057 and 7.9 before errata 021, delegated BSD authentication results are correlated only by the LDAP child process client file descriptor and LDAP message ID. After a connection closes, a later connection that reuses the same file descriptor and message ID can receive the earlier authentication result. A remote attacker who can reach ldapd can complete a Bind as another identity. A missing connection can also cause a NULL pointer dereference. (ldapd is not enabled by default.)

  • Sep 30, 2026basic-ftp is an FTP client for Node.js.CVE-2026-102990 · Other software · patrickjuchli · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

basic-ftp is an FTP client for Node.js. Prior to 6.2.1, Client.list() can be forced by a malicious or compromised FTP server to spend quadratic CPU time parsing a directory listing because the RE_LINE expression in src/parseListUnix.ts backtracks across adjacent variable-length owner and group fields when a long Unix-style line has a valid prefix but cannot satisfy the later size and date fields. parseList() selects a parser from the last nonblank line and then applies it to every line, so a normal final line can select the Unix parser while an earlier crafted line blocks the Node.js event loop and freezes the process. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.1.

A remote, unauthenticated TLS client can make a server crash or call through a freed pointer if its sni_callback assigns a different context to SSLSocket.context (the documented way to select a certificate per server name) and nothing else keeps the original ssl.SSLContext alive. Typical cases are servers that create an SSLContext per connection or replace it while connections are open; servers that wrap their listening socket with it are not affected. Mitigation: keep a reference to every SSLContext that sets sni_callback for the lifetime of the server. TLS clients are not affected.

Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH. The sshd-sftp component provides support for SFTP. The SFTP client implementation, when receiving a reply, did not check that this reply corresponded to a request sent earlier. Unsolicited replies would be stored but never consumed. A malicious server could keep sending unsolicited replies until available memory in the client was exhausted. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.20.0 or 3.0.0-M6, which fix this issue.

  • Sep 30, 2026Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH.CVE-2026-93994 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.1

Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH. SSH servers can be configured to require multi-authentication schemes, for instance two different public keys, not just one. In OpenSSH, this would be done by setting in sshd_config AuthenticationMethods "publickey, publickey". Apache MINA SSHD provides an equivalent configuration mechanism. In Apache MINA SSHD versions up to 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M1 to 3.0.0-M5 the server code in component sshd-core does not enforce that the two public keys presented are different. A user can thus successfully authenticate with only one of the two key pairs required by presenting this single key twice. This is a partial authentication bypass. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.20.0 or 3.0.0-M6, which fix this issue.

Russh is a Rust SSH client and server library. Prior to 0.63.0, the hybrid ML-KEM 768 and X25519 implementation in russh/src/kex/hybrid_mlkem.rs accepts an all-zero 32-byte peer X25519 public key in both server_dh and compute_shared_secret, forcing the X25519 contribution to the combined shared secret to zero. A malicious SSH peer can therefore make the combined secret depend only on ML-KEM, defeating the hybrid exchange's intended fallback protection if ML-KEM is later weakened. This issue is fixed in version 0.63.0.

Russh is a Rust SSH client and server library. Prior to 0.63.1, a connection configured to permit mac=none can negotiate it with a MAC-requiring CTR or CBC block cipher because the selection logic validates needs_mac() only when MAC selection fails. A remote peer can then send a packet with a decrypted length of zero, causing russh/src/cipher/mod.rs to shrink the previously read block before indexing buffer.buffer[16..], which panics and terminates the connection task. The NetX Duo MQTT client leaks the packet carrying a malformed PUBLISH message. Each malformed PUBLISH costs one packet, or one chain of packets, from the network driver's receive pool, and nothing returns it. NetX Duo's WebSocket client resets the unmasking cursor to the first `NX_PACKET` each time it advances through a chained packet, while the loop's upper bound belongs to the current packet. With the standard contiguous packet-pool layout, a masked server frame split across two packets therefore drives the XOR loop through the first packet's unused payload area and on through the second packet's `NX_PACKET` control block. The four-byte WebSocket masking key controls the bytes written, so the corruption is attacker-chosen rather than incidental.
