  • Sep 16, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: Fix SKB corruption in REO destination ring While running traffics for a longCVE-2023-53315 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: Fix SKB corruption in REO destination ring While running traffics for a long time, randomly an RX descriptor filled with value "0" from REO destination ring is received. This descriptor which is invalid causes the wrong SKB (SKB stored in the IDR lookup with buffer id "0") to be fetched which in turn causes SKB memory corruption issue and the same leads to crash after some time. Changed the start id for idr allocation to "1" and the buffer id "0" is reserved for error validation. Introduced Sanity check to validate the descriptor, before processing the SKB. Crash Signature : Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 3f004900 PC points to "b15_dma_inv_range+0x30/0x50" LR points to "dma_cache_maint_page+0x8c/0x128". SPlayer version 3.7 and earlier is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow when processing HTTP responses containing an overly long Content-Type header. The vulnerability occurs due to improper bounds checking on the header value, allowing an attacker to overwrite the Structured Exception Handler (SEH) and execute arbitrary code. A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in MPlayer Lite r33064 due to improper bounds checking when handling M3U playlist files containing long http:// URL entries. An attacker can craft a malicious .m3u file with a specially formatted URL that triggers a stack overflow when processed by the player, particularly via drag-and-drop interaction. This flaw allows for control of the execution flow through SEH overwrite and a DEP bypass using a ROP chain that leverages known gadgets in loaded DLLs. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: nl80211: reject cooked mode if it is set along with other flags It is possible to set both MONITOR_FLAG_COOK_FRAMES and MONITOR_FLAG_ACTIVE flags simultaneously on the same monitor interface from the userspace. This causes a sub-interface to be created with no IEEE80211_SDATA_IN_DRIVER bit set because the monitor interface is in the cooked state and it takes precedence over all other states. When the interface is then being deleted the kernel calls WARN_ONCE() from check_sdata_in_driver() because of missing that bit. Fix this by rejecting MONITOR_FLAG_COOK_FRAMES if it is set along with other flags. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Syzkaller.

Magento Long Term Support (LTS) is an unofficial, community-driven project provides an alternative to the Magento Community Edition e-commerce platform with a high level of backward compatibility. Versions prior to 20.12.3 and 20.13.0 contain a vulnerability that allows script execution in the admin panel which could lead to cross-site scripting against authenticated admin users. The attack requires an admin user with configuration access, so in practicality it is not very likely to be useful given that a user with this level of access is probably already a full admin. Versions 20.12.3 and 20.13.0 contain a patch for the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm mirror log: round up region bitmap size to BITS_PER_LONG The code in dm-log rounds up bitset_size to 32 bits. It then uses find_next_zero_bit_le on the allocated region. find_next_zero_bit_le accesses the bitmap using unsigned long pointers. So, on 64-bit architectures, it may access 4 bytes beyond the allocated size. Fix this bug by rounding up bitset_size to BITS_PER_LONG. This bug was found by running the lvm2 testsuite with kasan.

  • Feb 26, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: dwc-qos: Disable split header for Tegra194 There is a long-standing issue witCVE-2022-49642 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: dwc-qos: Disable split header for Tegra194 There is a long-standing issue with the Synopsys DWC Ethernet driver for Tegra194 where random system crashes have been observed [0]. The problem occurs when the split header feature is enabled in the stmmac driver. In the bad case, a larger than expected buffer length is received and causes the calculation of the total buffer length to overflow. This results in a very large buffer length that causes the kernel to crash. Why this larger buffer length is received is not clear, however, the feedback from the NVIDIA design team is that the split header feature is not supported for Tegra194. Therefore, disable split header support for Tegra194 to prevent these random crashes from occurring. [0] https://lore.kernel.org/linux-tegra/b0b17697-f23e-8fa5-3757-604a86f3a095@nvidia.com/

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, arm64: Clear prog->jited_len along prog->jited syzbot reported an illegal copy_to_user() attempt from bpf_prog_get_info_by_fd() [1] There was no repro yet on this bug, but I think that commit 0aef499f3172 ("mm/usercopy: Detect vmalloc overruns") is exposing a prior bug in bpf arm64. bpf_prog_get_info_by_fd() looks at prog->jited_len to determine if the JIT image can be copied out to user space. My theory is that syzbot managed to get a prog where prog->jited_len has been set to 43, while prog->bpf_func has ben cleared. It is not clear why copy_to_user(uinsns, NULL, ulen) is triggering this particular warning. I thought find_vma_area(NULL) would not find a vm_struct. As we do not hold vmap_area_lock spinlock, it might be possible that the found vm_struct was garbage. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: host: Stop setting the ACPI companion It is no longer needed. The sysdev pointer is now used when assigning the ACPI companions to the xHCI ports and USB devices. Assigning the ACPI companion here resulted in the fwnode->secondary pointer to be replaced also for the parent dwc3 device since the primary fwnode (the ACPI companion) was shared. That was unintentional and it created potential side effects like resource leaks.
