Jul 12, 2026In Zephyr's WireGuard subsystem (subsys/net/lib/wireguard), wg_process_data_message() in wg_crypto.c linearizes an inbound transport-data payload into a fixed pCVE-2026-10665 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 7.4
In Zephyr's WireGuard subsystem (subsys/net/lib/wireguard), wg_process_data_message() in wg_crypto.c linearizes an inbound transport-data payload into a fixed pool buffer of CONFIG_WIREGUARD_BUF_LEN bytes before decryption. The call net_buf_linearize(buf->data, data_len, pkt->buffer, ..., data_len) passed the attacker-derived data_len as both the destination capacity and the copy length, defeating the function's internal len = min(len, dst_len) bound. data_len is derived from the received UDP datagram length and is only lower-bounded by wg_ctrl_recv() (no upper bound). When data_len exceeds CONFIG_WIREGUARD_BUF_LEN — e.g. when the buffer length is lowered below the link MTU, on links with MTU above the buffer size, or via reassembled IPv4/IPv6 fragments that exceed it — the underlying memcpy writes past the end of the pool buffer, an out-of-bounds write (CWE-787). The overflow occurs before the Poly1305 authentication check, so it requires only a valid receiver session index rather than a valid authenticator, and is reachable by a malicious or compromised peer (or an on-path attacker driving an established session) over the network, yielding remote memory corruption and at minimum

Jul 2, 2026Apereo CAS 7.3.0 before 8.0.0-RC6 contains a cryptographic vulnerability that allows remote unauthenticated attackers to recover plaintext conversation state byCVE-2026-59099 · Other software · apereo · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
Apereo CAS 7.3.0 before 8.0.0-RC6 contains a cryptographic vulnerability that allows remote unauthenticated attackers to recover plaintext conversation state by exploiting AES-GCM initialization vector reuse across the server lifetime. Attackers can collect multiple client-side webflow execution tokens from the unauthenticated login page and perform known-plaintext analysis to decrypt the webflow conversation state due to keystream reuse caused by a fixed all-zero IV paired with the same encryption key.

Jul 2, 2026Use of Default Cryptographic Key vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (DTLS server) allows predictable DTLS cookie computation during the startup window, enabling soCVE-2026-54887 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.3
Use of Default Cryptographic Key vulnerability in Erlang/OTP ssl (DTLS server) allows predictable DTLS cookie computation during the startup window, enabling source address verification bypass. On DTLS server startup, dtls_server_connection:initial_hello/3 initializes previous_cookie_secret to the empty binary (<<>>) instead of a random value. Because HMAC with an empty key is deterministic, anyone who observes the plaintext ClientHello can compute dtls_handshake:cookie(<<>>, IP, Port, Hello) and forge a valid DTLS cookie before the first rotation of the cookie secret. The DTLS cookie (RFC 6347 §4.2.1) is a denial-of-service mitigation that prevents spoofed source IPs from forcing the server to allocate state and perform expensive cryptographic operations; it is not an authentication mechanism. During the window from server startup until the first secret rotation (0 to 15 seconds), an attacker who can observe the plaintext ClientHello can bypass the source address verification, enabling DTLS handshake amplification with spoofed source addresses. This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/ssl/src/dtls_server_connection.erl and program routine dtls_server_connection:ini

Jul 1, 2026UltraVNC through 1.8.2.2 uses inadequate cryptography in the MS-Logon II authentication scheme (rfbUltraVNC_MsLogonIIAuth).CVE-2026-7830 · Other software · uvnc · reported by 33c584b5-0579-4c06-b2a0-8d8329fcab9cHigh 7.4
UltraVNC through 1.8.2.2 uses inadequate cryptography in the MS-Logon II authentication scheme (rfbUltraVNC_MsLogonIIAuth). In rfb/dh.cpp the Diffie-Hellman key exchange is performed with parameters that fit in an unsigned 64-bit integer (DH_MAX_BITS controls the prime size). A 64-bit DH key can be broken by Pollard's rho algorithm in under one second on current hardware. Additionally, the private exponent is generated by the rng() function, which multiplies three libc rand() values seeded from time(NULL). With approximately 31 bits of internal state and a time-based seed, the private exponent is recoverable in under a minute by a passive observer. A network attacker who can observe the MS-Logon II handshake (via sniffing, recording, or man-in-the-middle) can derive the shared DH key and decrypt the encapsulated username and password, resulting in full credential disclosure. This affects legacy MS-Logon II connections; MS-Logon III (X25519 + AES-256-GCM) is unaffected.

Jul 1, 2026UltraVNC through 1.8.2.2 uses a cryptographically weak pseudo-random number generator to produce VNC authentication challenge bytes.CVE-2026-44040 · Other software · uvnc · reported by 33c584b5-0579-4c06-b2a0-8d8329fcab9cMedium 4.8
UltraVNC through 1.8.2.2 uses a cryptographically weak pseudo-random number generator to produce VNC authentication challenge bytes. In rfb/vncauth.c:119-129, the vncRandomBytes() function seeds libc rand() with time(0) + getpid() + rand() and generates a 16-byte challenge. The combined seed space is approximately 31 bits (libc rand() internal state) and is entirely determined by publicly-observable values (wall-clock time and process ID). An attacker who can observe the authentication exchange can enumerate the seed space and predict the challenge within seconds, enabling forgery or offline brute-forcing of responses. Note: on Windows, the active code path may use vncEncryptBytes2.cpp which calls CryptGenRandom; reachability on shipped Windows binaries requires compile-graph verification and is under investigation.

Jun 30, 2026Net::BitTorrent versions before 2.1.0 for Perl generate the MSE Diffie-Hellman private key with a non-cryptographic PRNG.CVE-2026-57082 · Other software · SANKO · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 5.9
Net::BitTorrent versions before 2.1.0 for Perl generate the MSE Diffie-Hellman private key with a non-cryptographic PRNG. The MSE (Message Stream Encryption) handshake derives its 160-bit Diffie-Hellman private key from Perl's rand(), a non-cryptographic drand48-class generator seeded once per process, in KeyExchange.pm. The shared secret and the RC4 keys derived from it (the SHA-1 of "keyA" or "keyB", the shared secret, and the infohash) therefore depend entirely on a predictable PRNG. The same handshake sends, in cleartext, random padding drawn from the same rand() sequence in _random_pad, immediately after the public key and the private-key draw. A passive observer of the handshake recovers the PRNG state from the cleartext padding, reconstructs the private key, computes the shared secret from the peer's public key on the wire, derives the RC4 keys, and decrypts the connection, defeating the passive-observation obfuscation MSE provides.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: eip93 - fix hmac setkey algo selection eip93_hmac_setkey() allocates a temporary ahash transform for computing HMAC ipad/opad key material. The allocation uses the driver-specific cra_driver_name (e.g. "sha256-eip93") but passes CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC as the mask, which excludes async algorithms. Since the EIP93 hash algorithms are the only ones registered under those driver names and they are inherently async, the lookup is self-contradictory and always fails with -ENOENT. When called from the AEAD setkey path, this failure leaves the SA record partially initialized with zeroed digest fields. A subsequent crypto operation then dereferences a NULL pointer in the request context, resulting in a kernel panic: ``` pc : eip93_aead_handle_result+0xc8c/0x1240 [crypto_hw_eip93] lr : eip93_aead_handle_result+0xbec/0x1240 [crypto_hw_eip93] sp : ffffffc082feb820 x29: ffffffc082feb820 x28: ffffff8011043980 x27: 0000000000000000 x26: 0000000000000000 x25: ffffffc078da0bc8 x24: 0000000091043980 x23: ffffff8004d59e50 x22: ffffff8004d59410 x21: ffffff8004d593c0 x20: ffffff8004d593c0 x19: ffffff8004d4f300 x18:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix use-after-free from async crypto on Qualcomm crypto engine ksmbd_crypt_message() sets a NULL completion callback on AEAD requests and does not handle the -EINPROGRESS return code from async hardware crypto engines like the Qualcomm Crypto Engine (QCE). When QCE returns -EINPROGRESS, ksmbd treats it as an error and immediately frees the request while the hardware DMA operation is still in flight. The DMA completion callback then dereferences freed memory, causing a NULL pointer crash: pc : qce_skcipher_done+0x24/0x174 lr : vchan_complete+0x230/0x27c ... el1h_64_irq+0x68/0x6c ksmbd_free_work_struct+0x20/0x118 [ksmbd] ksmbd_exit_file_cache+0x694/0xa4c [ksmbd] Use the standard crypto_wait_req() pattern with crypto_req_done() as the completion callback, matching the approach used by the SMB client in fs/smb/client/smb2ops.c. This properly handles both synchronous engines (immediate return) and async engines (-EINPROGRESS followed by callback notification).

Jun 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: jitterentropy - replace long-held spinlock with mutex jent_kcapi_random() serializCVE-2026-52936 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: jitterentropy - replace long-held spinlock with mutex jent_kcapi_random() serializes the shared jitterentropy state, but it currently holds a spinlock across the jent_read_entropy() call. That path performs expensive jitter collection and SHA3 conditioning, so parallel readers can trigger stalls as contending waiters spin for the same lock. PHP Standard Library (PSL) is set of APIs covering async, collections, networking, I/O, cryptography, terminal UI, etc. In versions 6.1.0, 6.1.1 and 6.2.0, the Psl\H2\ServerConnection does not validate that the total bytes received in DATA frames match the content-length header declared in the HEADERS frame, allowing request smuggling. This is in violation of RFC 9113 §8.1.1. A malicious client is able to send more DATA bytes than declared, smuggling additional content past application-level size limits and send fewer DATA bytes than declared and close the stream early, causing applications that trust the declared length to behave incorrectly. The vulnerability is only reachable for consumers using Psl\H2\ServerConnection directly to accept untrusted client traffic. Consumers of documented high-level PSL APIs are not affected. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.1.2 and 6.2.1.

Jun 12, 2026A Missing Required Cryptographic Step vulnerability has been identified in Moxa's embedded Linux firmware for industrial computers and controllers.CVE-2026-9266 · Other software · Moxa · reported by psirt@moxa.comHigh 7
A Missing Required Cryptographic Step vulnerability has been identified in Moxa's embedded Linux firmware for industrial computers and controllers. This vulnerability represents an incomplete remediation of CVE-2026-0714. The firmware introduced TPM2 parameter encryption as a countermeasure against CVE-2026-0714. However, an omission in the authorization session configuration causes the parameter encryption to provide no effective protection. An attacker with invasive physical access to the device can still capture TPM communications on the SPI bus and derive the LUKS disk encryption key in plaintext. While successful exploitation results in full compromise of the encrypted disk volume, the attack requires invasive physical access, including opening the device and attaching external equipment to the SPI bus. Remote exploitation is not possible, and the attack does not affect any downstream systems.

Jun 9, 2026Issue Summary: Cryptographic Message Services (CMS) processing fails to perform sufficient input validation on the cipher and tag length fields of AuthEnvelopedCVE-2026-34182 · Websites & servers · OpenSSL · reported by openssl-security@openssl.orgCritical 9.1
Issue Summary: Cryptographic Message Services (CMS) processing fails to perform sufficient input validation on the cipher and tag length fields of AuthEnvelopedData containers, leading to various potential compromises. Impact Summary: Attackers making use of these vulnerabilities may achieve key-equivalent functionality for a given CMS recipient and/or bypass integrity validation for a given message. In one use case, an attacker may send a CMS message containing AuthEnvelopedData with the cipher specified as a non-AEAD cipher. OpenSSL erroneously allows this selection, and attempts to decrypt and validate the message. An on-path attacker who captures one legitimate AES-GCM AuthEnvelopedData addressed to the victim can re-emit it with the recipientInfos set left byte-for-byte intact, so the victim's private key still unwraps the genuine CEK (the content-encryption key), but with the inner OID rewritten to AES-256-OFB (Output Feedback Mode, an unauthenticated keystream mode) and with an attacker-chosen IV and ciphertext. The victim initializes AES-256-OFB under the real CEK, never consults the MAC field, and CMS_decrypt() returns success. If the application under attack responds

Jun 5, 2026A hard-coded cryptographic key is used by Altium Enterprise Server to sign file download URLs in the Vault service.CVE-2026-11414 · Other software · Altium · reported by 4760f414-e1ae-4ff1-bdad-c7a9c3538b79Critical 10
A hard-coded cryptographic key is used by Altium Enterprise Server to sign file download URLs in the Vault service. Because the key is identical across all installations, an unauthenticated network attacker who can reach the server can forge valid download signatures and retrieve files from the Vault storage area without any authentication, session, or credentials. A separate path traversal vulnerability in the same download endpoint allows the configured storage root to be escaped, enabling reads of arbitrary files on the server filesystem. Combined, these issues allow an unauthenticated attacker to obtain sensitive server configuration and key material, which can lead to full server compromise. The vulnerability can be chained with CVE-2026-9152 to enumerate and bulk-download stored content. Altium 365 cloud deployments are not impacted in practice, as file storage uses object storage rather than the local filesystem.

Weak Randomness / Insecure Cryptographic Primitive (CWE-338) in Get-RandomPassword in BOSH-Ecosystem / windows-utilities-release allows a network attacker to estimate VM boot time and reconstruct a small candidate list to recover the Administrator password. The randomize_password job exists solely to lock the local Administrator account behind an unguessable password as a hardening control. Because the password is derived from a predictable, clock-seeded PRNG, a network attacker who can estimate VM boot time can reconstruct a small candidate list and recover the Administrator password, defeating the hardening control. Jun 2, 2026(*x509.Certificate).VerifyHostname previously called matchHostnames in a loop over all DNS Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries.CVE-2026-27145 · Other software · Go standard library · reported by security@golang.orgMedium 6.5
(*x509.Certificate).VerifyHostname previously called matchHostnames in a loop over all DNS Subject Alternative Name (SAN) entries. This caused strings.Split(host, ".") to execute repeatedly on the same input hostname. With a large DNS SAN list, verification costs scaled quadratically based on the number of SAN entries multiplied by the hostname's label count. Because x509.Verify validates hostnames before building the certificate chain, this overhead occurred even for untrusted certificates.

Jun 2, 2026QloApps through 1.7.0, fixed in commit 64e9722, contains a weak cryptographic algorithm vulnerability that allows attackers to compromise user credentials by exCVE-2026-25861 · Other software · QloApps · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.2
QloApps through 1.7.0, fixed in commit 64e9722, contains a weak cryptographic algorithm vulnerability that allows attackers to compromise user credentials by exploiting the use of MD5 for password hashing in the Tools::encrypt() function within classes/Tools.php, which concatenates a static cookie key with the supplied password. Attackers can perform offline brute-force attacks against the MD5 hashes, with the risk compounded by auto-generated 8-character passwords assigned during guest-to-customer account conversion in classes/Customer.php, making credential recovery trivial.
