  • Aug 25, 2026QWED-MCP is a deterministic verification gateway for MCP.CVE-2026-55546 · Other software · QWED-AI · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

QWED-MCP is a deterministic verification gateway for MCP. Prior to 0.2.1, verify_math_expression() in src/qwed_mcp/engines/math_engine.py passes attacker-controlled expression and claimed_result strings directly to SymPy's parse_expr() after only normalizing caret syntax to Python exponent syntax, without restricting global_dict, removing Python built-ins, or validating the expression AST. Because parse_expr() calls Python's eval() with built-ins available, an attacker who can cause a downstream caller to pass untrusted input to this public library function can use Python import functionality to execute arbitrary operating-system commands as the qwed-mcp process user, read or modify accessible data, exfiltrate process secrets, or reach internal services. The default MCP tool registry does not expose verify_math_expression(), so exploitation requires a downstream integration that invokes the library API with attacker-controlled input. This issue is fixed in version 0.2.1.

Joomla Extension - miniorange.com - Unauthenticated Authentication Bypass via SAMLResponse Parameter in miniOrange SAML SSO < 11.0.2, SAML SP Single Sign On – Login with ADFS < 6.4, SAML SP Single Sign On – SAML SSO login with Google Apps < 6.4 - This is due to the mo_saml_validate_signature() function performing a loose boolean check on the raw tri-state integer returned by PHP's openssl_verify(), causing an error return value of -1 to be evaluated as truthy and therefore treated as a successful signature verification. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing Joomla user, including administrators, by submitting a crafted SAMLResponse containing an attacker-controlled NameID and a deliberately malformed signature value that triggers an OpenSSL processing error — bypassing verification entirely and resulting in wp_set_auth_cookie() being called for the targeted account.

Issue summary: ChaCha20-Poly1305 and AES-OCB decryption with an empty ciphertext can report success without verifying the supplied authentication tag when the operation is finalized by calling the EVP_Cipher() function. Impact summary: Applications calling EVP_Cipher() on an empty ciphertext and expecting the call to check the AEAD tag may accept forged messages. CWE: CWE-354 (Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value) Description: The EVP_Cipher() API call for AEAD ciphers behaves like a one shot encryption and decryption call. It also verifies the AEAD tag after the decryption operation. However for AES-OCB and ChaCha20-Poly1305 ciphers it skipped the AEAD tag verification when an empty ciphertext was passed to the function. The callers of this function might believe that a successful return indicates a valid AEAD tag for these ciphers, even when that has not truly been validated in this case. FIPS impact: no The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are not affected by this CVE as the affected algorithms are not FIPS approved and thus not implemented in the FIPS module.

Issue summary: OpenSSL CMP response validation passed an unexpected response sender distinguished name directly as the format string to `ERR_raise_data()`. Impact summary: A malicious or intercepted CMP endpoint can crash a CMP client that enforces an expected sender or uses a pinned server certificate whose subject becomes the default expected sender. CWE: CWE-134 (Use of Externally-Controlled Format String) Description: When validating a received CMP message, ossl_cmp_msg_check_update() converts the peer-supplied sender distinguished name with X509_NAME_oneline() and passes it directly as the format argument to ERR_raise_data(). Percent characters survive the conversion, so a sender DN such as "CN=%s%n" reaches BIO_vsnprintf() as an attacker-controlled format string with no matching variadic arguments. This path is only reached when the caller configures an expected sender or pins a server certificate, which is the normal configuration for a CMP client validating server responses. Since the attacker controls the format string but none of the variadic arguments, such specifiers as %s and %n dereference or write through unrelated stack contents and crash the client. The reliabl

  • Aug 25, 2026Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Avro SerDe schema resolution in Apache Hive before 4.2.1 allows an authenticated remote attacker with CREATE TABLE privileCVE-2026-55976 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1

Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in Avro SerDe schema resolution in Apache Hive before 4.2.1 allows an authenticated remote attacker with CREATE TABLE privilege to cause the Hive server to fetch an attacker-controlled URL when resolving the avro.schema.url table property on an Avro table that is subsequently queried. This can expose cloud instance metadata, internal network services, or local server files to the Hive process identity. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.2.1, which fixes this issue. Attacker access requirements: * Network access to HiveServer2 / Metastore: required (remote attacker model). * Valid Hive authentication: required. * CREATE TABLE (or equivalent) privilege: required, so the attacker can set avro.schema.url in table properties. * SELECT privilege on the malicious table: not required for the creator, who can typically query their own table; any other user granted SELECT can also trigger the fetch. * Write access to the table LOCATION: not required; the attack uses the schema URL, not the data path. * Admin / superuser privileges: not required; an ordinary authenticated user with DDL rights is sufficient. * External tabl

SQL injection in Hive Metastore direct SQL partition-name resolution in Apache Hive before 4.2.1 on all platforms allows authenticated users with access to Hive Metastore APIs to read, modify, or affect unintended partition metadata (including statistics updates, truncation targets, and file-metadata cache operations) via crafted partition names in metastore RPC requests when direct SQL is enabled (the default). Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.2.1, which fixes this issue. Details about the issue: Several Hive Metastore RPCs resolve partitions by full partition name (PART_NAME) through direct-SQL helpers. In those paths, client-supplied partition names are embedded into SQL using string concatenation (DirectSqlUpdatePart.quoteString() → '...') instead of bind parameters. A partition name containing a single quote (and crafted SQL) can alter the generated WHERE clause so that lookups intended for one partition match additional rows. That can affect reads, stats updates, truncate targets, metadata-cache targets, and related operations when metastore.try.direct.sql is enabled (default: true). An authenticated or network-trusted caller with the ability to invoke Hive Meta

The extension passes the raw value of a form field configured as "This field contains the name of the sender" directly into a Fluid View as template source, without any sanitization, and renders it. An anonymous, unauthenticated user can submit Fluid template syntax in that field to execute arbitrary Fluid ViewHelpers leading to disclosure of server configuration, environment variables and application source, and potentially remote code execution. Exploitation requires only that a form field is configured as the sender_name field, a common and default-adjacent Powermail configuration. No authentication or user interaction beyond a normal form submission is required. This vulnerability is reported to be actively exploited in the wild.

  • Aug 25, 2026The OCPP 1.6 client in subsys/net/lib/ocpp/ocpp_j.c contains a stack buffer overflow in parse_getconfig_msg().CVE-2026-13214 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgCritical 9.8

The OCPP 1.6 client in subsys/net/lib/ocpp/ocpp_j.c contains a stack buffer overflow in parse_getconfig_msg(). When handling a GetConfiguration request from the central system, the handler copied the attacker-controlled JSON "key" string into the caller's fixed 50-byte stack buffer (skey[CISTR50], declared in subsys/net/lib/ocpp/ocpp.c) using an unbounded strcpy(). The parsed key value points directly into the receive buffer, so its length is bounded only by the message size (CONFIG_OCPP_RECV_BUFFER_SIZE, default 2048). The GetConfiguration message is delivered over the WebSocket connection that the charge point opens to its configured central system. The reader thread ocpp_wsreader() reads the message into ui->recv_buf and dispatches it to parse_getconfig_msg() via the PDU function table. An attacker who controls the central system endpoint, or a man-in-the-middle on an unencrypted connection, can send a GetConfiguration request whose "key" field exceeds 50 bytes and overflow the reader thread's stack with attacker-chosen bytes. The consequence is a remotely triggerable stack smash on the OCPP reader thread: at minimum a denial of service, and plausibly remote code execution dep

NLTK before 3.10.0 (affected versions <=3.9.4) contains an unsafe pickle deserialization vulnerability in the TransitionParser.parse() method (nltk/parse/transitionparser.py). The method calls pickle_load() with the default restricted=False, routing deserialization through WarningUnpickler, which does not override find_class() and therefore permits arbitrary class resolution. RansomLook exposed complete API keys in the HTML source of the authenticated /admin/apikeys administration page. Although the interface displayed only a shortened representation of each key, the full token was embedded in hidden form fields used by the enable/disable, private-access, and delete actions. As a result, API credentials could be recovered by inspecting the page source or DOM. The credentials could also be unintentionally exposed through components that retain or inspect HTTP response bodies, such as debugging proxies, browser caches, monitoring systems, or other intermediaries. An attacker obtaining one of these tokens could subsequently authenticate using the privileges assigned to that key, including access to private data where the key was granted such permissions. The patch removes API keys from subsequent page rendering and replaces them with SHA-256-derived opaque handles. Administrative actions submit only these handles, which are resolved back to the corresponding token on the server. The full API key is therefore disclosed only once, when it is initially created.

  • Aug 24, 2026OAuth2 Proxy honours a client-supplied X-Forwarded-Uri header when deciding whether a request may skip authentication, because the guard added for CVE-2026-4057CVE-2026-76835 · Other software · oauth2-proxy · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3

OAuth2 Proxy honours a client-supplied X-Forwarded-Uri header when deciding whether a request may skip authentication, because the guard added for CVE-2026-40575 is inert in the default reverse-proxy configuration. GetRequestURI in pkg/requests/util/util.go prefers that header over the real request URI whenever CanTrustForwardedHeaders returns true, and isAllowedPath in oauthproxy.go matches the skip_auth_routes and skip_auth_regex allow list against the resulting path. CanTrustForwardedHeaders in pkg/apis/middleware/scope.go grants that trust when the caller's address is in the trusted proxy set, and buildTrustedProxyNetSet falls back to defaultTrustedProxyIPs, which is 0.0.0.0/0 and ::/0, whenever reverse proxy mode is enabled without trusted_proxy_ip configured. Every client is therefore treated as a trusted proxy. An unauthenticated attacker can request a protected upstream path while setting X-Forwarded-Uri to a value matching an allow-listed route, so the skip-auth decision is made against the spoofed value while the upstream receives the protected path unchanged.

Improper input validation vulnerability in Apache Camel Undertow component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.11.0 before 4.14.9, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.4, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.0. UndertowEndpoint defaulted its headerFilterStrategy field to the base HttpHeaderFilterStrategy and pushed that instance into the UndertowHttpBinding it creates lazily, overwriting the UndertowHeaderFilterStrategy that DefaultUndertowHttpBinding installs in its own constructor. Unless a deployment supplied a custom binding or an explicit headerFilterStrategy, the undertow-specific filtering therefore never executed on endpoint-configured routes: the strategy object was constructed and immediately replaced before it could be consulted. The consequence is that the legacy websocket. Exchange-header prefix was not filtered at the undertow transport boundary in either direction, so an undertow HTTP consumer mapped inbound wire headers of that form onto the Exchange, where an undertow WebSocket producer reads them as dispatch directives and can be made to deliver to a peer other than the one the route selected; and header names that undertow itself does not accept were mapped onto the Exchange ra

rConfig Core 8.0.0 before 8.2.10 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to self-register accounts with full Administrator privileges due to a duplicate bare Auth::routes() call in routes/web.php that re-enables the POST /register route after it was explicitly disabled. Attackers can register a new account that is immediately authenticated with Admin-level access because the registration controller does not assign a role and the users.role column defaults to Admin, enabling access to stored device credentials, user data, and API token issuance.

This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.9, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.4, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.0. The camel-atmosphere-websocket producer selects which connected WebSocket peers a message is delivered to through Exchange headers, and the string values of those headers sat outside the Camel namespace: websocket.connectionKey and websocket.connectionKey.list, along with websocket.sendToAll, websocket.eventType and websocket.errorType. WebsocketEndpoint extends ServletEndpoint and so inherits HttpHeaderFilterStrategy, which filters only the Camel and camel prefixes; the dotted names therefore fell outside the filtered namespace and were admitted in both directions by every HTTP-family consumer. In a route bridging an HTTP consumer into an atmosphere-websocket producer, an external sender could supply the list header and take over the producer's dispatch decision. WebsocketProducer.process tests the list header before the single-key header, so an injected value discarded the recipient the route had selected: a notification intended for one connected client could be suppressed, o

Relative path traversal vulnerability in Apache Camel Azure Storage Blob component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.14.9, from 4.15.0 before 4.18.4, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.0. The camel-azure-storage-blob component can download an Azure Storage blob to the local filesystem through its downloadBlobToFile operation, writing into the directory named by the fileDir endpoint option, which is documented as usable from both the producer and the consumer. BlobOperations.downloadBlobToFile built the local target by joining fileDir with the remote blob name exactly as the Azure SDK reported it (new File(fileDir, client.getBlobName())) and passed the result straight to the SDK download call, with no lexical normalization and no check that the resolved location stayed inside fileDir. The blob name is not route-controlled data: the consumer enumerates the container in BlobConsumer.createBatchExchangesFromContainer, which lists blobs and creates one exchange per entry from BlobItem.getName() verbatim, applying no name filtering by default. A blob name containing parent-directory segments therefore resolved to a location outside the configured fileDir, letting anyone ab

RansomLook contains an authorization weakness in the web-based configuration editor exposed through the /admin/config endpoint. The endpoint requires an authenticated session but does not perform an explicit privilege or administrator authorization check before allowing access to configuration-management functionality. An authenticated low-privileged user able to access the endpoint can submit crafted configuration values that are written directly to the application's config/generic.json file. The affected functionality permits modification of configuration sections including notification, LDAP, SMTP, and general application settings. Successful exploitation could therefore allow an attacker to alter security-sensitive application behavior, redirect integrations or notifications, modify authentication-related configuration, disrupt external services, or render the RansomLook installation unavailable. The configuration editor also operated on a configuration file containing sensitive values such as passwords, tokens, secrets, and API keys. Although the affected version contains logic intended to prevent recognized secret values from being returned to the browser, exposing configur

  • Aug 24, 2026A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Konami's Metal Gear Online 3, originating from improper validation of lobby data fields related to kicked pCVE-2026-19874 · Other software · Konami · reported by cret@cert.orgCritical 9.1

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Konami's Metal Gear Online 3, originating from improper validation of lobby data fields related to kicked players. The affected function processes a list of kicked player identifiers using the lobby data key "kick_num" to determine the number of entries, and individual kicked player IDs supplied via keys in the format "kicked_id_%i". The function does not validate that "kick_num" falls within the expected bounds. The game design limits matches to a maximum of 16 players, and the corresponding buffer for storing kicked player IDs is sized accordingly. If "kick_num" exceeds this limit, the function continues writing the provided player IDs past the end of the intended buffer and into adjacent memory regions. These adjacent regions contain Steam callback handler structures responsible for processing lobby data updates, lobby messages, and other related events. By supplying an oversized "kick_num" value and appropriate "kicked_id_%i" fields, an attacker can overwrite fields within the callback handler structures, including function pointers and callback argument values. Successful exploitation may enable control-flow hijacking, poten

RansomLook does not consistently enforce authorization checks when accessing groups, markets, and ransom notes marked as private. An unauthenticated or otherwise unauthorized remote attacker can access information associated with private entities through several web views and API endpoints. The affected functionality can disclose private group or market names, ransom-note content, and metadata associated with private groups. The /compare functionality can also be queried directly with the name of a private entity, allowing an unauthorized user to retrieve information such as post counts, mirror totals, and uptime even when the entity is excluded from the normal user interface. The patch explicitly adds a privacy check before returning this information. Ransom-note views, search results, and API endpoints were similarly missing consistent filtering. The fix introduces normalized private-group identifiers and alias handling, then rejects or filters notes associated with private groups before returning them to unauthorized callers. An attacker can exploit the issue remotely without authentication or user interaction, resulting in disclosure of information tha

RansomLook contains an authorization flaw in its legacy database export functionality that can allow unauthenticated remote users to retrieve information intended to remain private. The /export/<database> endpoint permits selected internal databases to be exported without requiring authentication. While limited filtering is performed for some entity databases, other exportable databases are returned directly without consistently applying the application's private-entity access restrictions. As a result, information associated with groups, markets, posts, or other records marked as private may be included in an export accessible to an unauthenticated requester. An attacker able to reach the RansomLook web application can request the affected export endpoint and retrieve data that should only be available to authorized users. Depending on the contents of the instance, this may disclose private ransomware intelligence, victim information, internal tracking data, or other information deliberately excluded from public views. The patch removes the legacy unauthenticated export route and introduces centralized authorization handling that distinguishes ordinary authenticated API access
