  • Jun 12, 2026ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and sanitize-html provides a simple HTML sanitizer with a clear API.CVE-2026-53606 · Other software · apostrophecms · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and sanitize-html provides a simple HTML sanitizer with a clear API. Versions of sanitize-html prior to 2.17.5 use `allowedSchemesAppliedToAttributes` (default: `['href', 'src', 'cite']`) to gate the `naughtyHref()` function that blocks dangerous URI schemes like `javascript:` and `vbscript:`. The HTML specification defines 10+ attributes that accept URIs (`action`, `formaction`, `data`, `poster`, `background`, `ping`, `xlink:href`, `dynsrc`, `lowsrc`), but none of these are included in the default gate list. When a developer allows any of these attributes in their configuration, `javascript:` URIs pass through completely unmodified, enabling XSS. Version 2.17.5 patches the issue.

ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and sanitize-html provides a simple HTML sanitizer with a clear API. Under the default configuration, versions of `sanitize-html` prior to 2.17.4 can turn attacker-controlled content inside a disallowed `xmp` element into live HTML or JavaScript. This is a sanitizer bypass in the default `disallowedTagsMode: 'discard'` path and can lead to stored XSS in applications that render sanitized output back to users. Version 2.17.4 patches the issue.

Spatie Laravel Media Library before version 11.23.0 contains a file upload restriction bypass in FileAdder::defaultSanitizer(). The sanitizer checks only the final filename suffix, allowing double-extension filenames such as shell.php.jpg to bypass the blocklist, with pathinfo() preserving inner .php stems in saved filenames. The blocklist also omits executable extensions including .php6, .shtml, and .htaccess. • May 20, 2026Code Injection vulnerability in phenixdigital phoenix_storybook allows unauthenticated remote code execution via unsanitized attribute value interpolation in HECVE-2026-8467 · Other software · phenixdigital · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbCritical 9.5

Code Injection vulnerability in phenixdigital phoenix_storybook allows unauthenticated remote code execution via unsanitized attribute value interpolation in HEEx template generation. The psb-assign WebSocket event handler in 'Elixir.PhoenixStorybook.Story.PlaygroundPreviewLive':handle_event/3 accepts arbitrary attribute names and values from unauthenticated clients. These values are passed to 'Elixir.PhoenixStorybook.Helpers.ExtraAssignsHelpers':handle_set_variation_assign/3, which stores them verbatim. When rendering, 'Elixir.PhoenixStorybook.Rendering.ComponentRenderer':attributes_markup/1 interpolates binary attribute values directly into a HEEx template string as name="<val>" without escaping double quotes or HEEx expression delimiters. An attacker can supply a value containing a closing quote followed by a HEEx expression block (e.g. foo" injected={EXPR} bar="), which causes EXPR to be treated as an inline Elixir expression. The resulting template is compiled via EEx.compile_string/2 and executed via Code.eval_quoted_with_env/3 with full Kernel imports and no sandbox, giving the attacker arbitrary code execution on the server. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
