In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: acquire the fastpath locks in rds_conn_shutdown() rds_conn_shutdown() quiesces the transmit and receive-refill paths by waiting for RDS_IN_XMIT and RDS_RECV_REFILL to be sampled clear, and then runs the transport shutdown and rds_conn_path_reset(). Sampling the bits clear is not the same as owning them: the moment after the wait_event() returns, rds_send_xmit() can re-acquire RDS_IN_XMIT (or rds_ib_recv_refill() can re-acquire RDS_RECV_REFILL) and run concurrently with the teardown. The sender does recheck the connection state after taking the lock, but that recheck is a classic store-buffering pattern: teardown writes the state and reads the bit while the sender writes the bit and reads the state. acquire_in_xmit() is only an acquire operation, so on weakly ordered architectures both sides can miss each other's write, and the transmit path then runs while the transport zeroes its rings (e.g. rds_ib_ring_init()) and rds_send_path_reset() rewrites the transmit state under it. Oracle UEK fixed the same class of crashes - a 14-year tail of BUG_ON()s in rds_ib_sub_signaled(), unexpected op-codes and NULL

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject resilient lock operations in rbtree callbacks __bpf_rbtree_add() keeps parent CVE-2026-98060 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject resilient lock operations in rbtree callbacks __bpf_rbtree_add() keeps parent and link pointers live across calls to the program-supplied comparison callback. The verifier therefore requires the root's lock to remain held throughout the callback. The helper path enforces this rule for bpf_spin_lock() and bpf_spin_unlock(), but the resilient lock kfunc argument path does not. Since resilient locks may protect BPF rbtree roots, a callback can release the root lock and let another CPU remove and free the node referenced by the in-progress tree walk. The walk then resumes using freed pointers. Reject resilient lock kfuncs in an rbtree comparison callback, matching the existing policy for the spin lock helpers. Resilient-lock-protected trees remain valid when their comparison callbacks leave lock state alone.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mctp: i3c: serialize probe with bus removal mctp_i3c_probe() drops busdevs_lock afterCVE-2026-98018 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: mctp: i3c: serialize probe with bus removal mctp_i3c_probe() drops busdevs_lock after finding the matching bus. A concurrent I3C_NOTIFY_BUS_REMOVE can then unregister and free the bus netdev before probe passes its private data to mctp_i3c_add_device(). The latter consequently adds a list node through a freed mbus pointer. Keep busdevs_lock held until the device has been added. This also satisfies the __must_hold annotation on mctp_i3c_add_device().

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: msc313e: Fix clock leak and spurious timer in settimeout() msc313e_wdt_settimeouCVE-2026-97969 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: msc313e: Fix clock leak and spurious timer in settimeout() msc313e_wdt_settimeout() unconditionally calls msc313e_wdt_start() which introduces two severe bugs: 1. If the watchdog is already active, calling start() again will increase the reference count of the clock again. However stop() is only called once, the reference count is unbalance. 2. If the watchdog is stopped, calling settimeout() will start the hardware timer accidentally. Factor out the register-writing logic into a helper function. Only call it in settimeout() if the watchdog is running. Otherwise, simply update `wdev->timeout`.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: initialize ptp_lock at probe time priv->ptp_lock is only initialized in stmmaCVE-2026-97963 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: initialize ptp_lock at probe time priv->ptp_lock is only initialized in stmmac_ptp_register(), which runs during __stmmac_open(). However, the lock is also used while the interface is down and has never been opened: tc_taprio_configure() invokes the PTP gettime64() callback to compute the EST base time when offloading a TAPRIO schedule, and stmmac_get_time() takes priv->ptp_lock. Using an uninitialized rwlock is undefined behaviour. Move the rwlock_init() to __stmmac_dvr_probe(), together with the other private locks, so that ptp_lock is always valid regardless of the interface state.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/eeh: Fix recursive locking on devices without EEH sensitive driver The commit 1010CVE-2026-97948 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/eeh: Fix recursive locking on devices without EEH sensitive driver The commit 1010b4c012b0 ("powerpc/eeh: Make EEH driver device hotplug safe") refactored the EEH code such that the pci_rescan_remove_lock is held at the beginning of eeh_handle_normal_event() and the eeh_reset_device() is called with that lock being held. Looks like the commit missed to remove the existing lock/unlock inside eeh_rmv_device() which is no longer necessary. This is causing the eehd to hang on the lock which it actually holds when that code path is taken. Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm/pat: Acquire init_mm write lock on collapse to avoid UAF x86 implements page attribCVE-2026-97943 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm/pat: Acquire init_mm write lock on collapse to avoid UAF x86 implements page attribute modification using its Change Page Attributes (CPA) mechanism. This tracks properties of ranges such as cache mode through x86 page attributes, and as part of that logic manipulates kernel page tables. Since commit: 41d88484c71c ("x86/mm/pat: restore large ROX pages after fragmentation") ranges of kernel page table entries can be collapsed into huge page table entries as part of this logic. As part of this collapse, it frees the page tables which the collapsed entries previously pointed to, and it does so without any relevant locks being held to preclude concurrent kernel page table walkers. The only way this code can be reached is if CPA_COLLAPSE is specified, and this is only set in set_memory_rox() via: set_memory_rox() -> change_page_attr_set_clr() -> cpa_flush() -> cpa_collapse_large_pages() Notable users of this are execmem and BPF when manipulating executable mappings. However, this is problematic for ptdump as it walks ranges it does not own and thus runs the risk of a use-after-free on page tables fre

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/slab: take n->list_lock in __slab_try_return_freelist() to avoid race Commit ba7425312607 ("mm, slab: add an optimistic __slab_try_return_freelist()") incorrectly assumed that nobody has freed an object to the slab as long as slab->freelist is NULL and cmpxchg succeeds. However, as reported by Hyunwoo Kim [1], other CPUs might have freed an object to the slab, insert the slab to the partial list, then allocated an object from the slab, and be in the middle of removing the slab from the list under n->list_lock. Since __refill_objects_node() puts the slab back on pc.slabs outside n->list_lock, it might insert the slab into that list while the slab is concurrently being removed from n->partial. This led to a list corruption [1]: list_add corruption. next->prev should be prev (ffff888100000248), but was dead000000000122. (next=ffffea000416e410). kernel BUG at lib/list_debug.c:29! Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Set the trace clock before registering the histogram trigger hist_register_triggeCVE-2026-97935 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Set the trace clock before registering the histogram trigger hist_register_trigger() puts the trigger on the global named_triggers list in cmd_ops->init(), and only then sets the trace clock: if (data->cmd_ops->init) { ret = data->cmd_ops->init(data); if (ret < 0) goto out; } if (hist_data->enable_timestamps) { ret = tracing_set_clock(file->tr, hist_data->attrs->clock); if (ret) { hist_err(tr, HIST_ERR_SET_CLOCK_FAIL, errpos(clock)); goto out; } The clock string is not checked anywhere before that call, so a named trigger using common_timestamp with an unknown clock fails after it has already become findable. event_hist_trigger_parse() then frees it without taking it off the list, and the next lookup by name reads the freed object: ~# cd /sys/kernel/tracing/events/sched/sched_switch ~# echo 'hist:name=foo:keys=common_pid:ts=common_timestamp:clock=bogus' > trigger bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument ~# echo 'hist:name=foo:keys=common_pid' > trigger BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in find_named_trigger+0xac/0xc0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff88800915d760 by task init/1

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tick/broadcast: Plug clockevents replacement race 朱恺乾 reported and decoded the following rCVE-2026-97925 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tick/broadcast: Plug clockevents replacement race 朱恺乾 reported and decoded the following race condition when a broadcast device is replaced: CPUA CPUB __tick_broadcast_oneshot_control() bc = tick_broadcast_device.evtdev; tick_install_broadcast_device(dev) clockevents_exchange_device(cur, dev) shutdown(cur); detach(cur); cur->handler = noop; tick_broadcast_device.evtdev = dev; tick_broadcast_set_event(bc, next_event); <- FAIL: arms a detached device. If the original broadcast device has a restricted interrupt affinity mask and the last CPU in that mask goes offline then the BUG() in tick_cleanup_dead_cpu() triggers because the clockevent device is not in detached state. The reason for this is that tick_install_broadcast_device() is not serialized vs. tick broadcast operations. The obvious cure is to serialize tick_install_broadcast_device() with tick_broadcast_lock against a concurrent tick broadcast operation. That requires to split clockevents_exchange_device() into two parts, one which does the exchange, shutdown and detach operation and the other

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix use-after-free of the source's parent directory current_check_refer_path() rCVE-2026-97594 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix use-after-free of the source's parent directory current_check_refer_path() reads old_dentry->d_parent without holding a reference nor a lock on it, and then dereferences it in collect_domain_accesses() and in the audit record. A reference on a child does not pin its parent: __d_move() reassigns dentry->d_parent and drops the reference the child held on its former parent. hook_path_rename() is not affected because the rename path calls lock_rename() before the hook, so the source cannot be reparented under it. hook_path_link() has no such protection: filename_linkat() holds a reference on the source dentry but neither locks nor references its parent, so a concurrent rename(2) can reparent the source while security_path_link() runs, and the former parent can then be removed and freed while the hook walks it. A process can trigger this after entering a Landlock domain that handles at least one filesystem access right. The process can then race a linkat(2) loop against rename(2) and rmdir(2): BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in collect_domain_accesses+0x278/0x290 Read of size 4 at addr ffff8881

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: avoid leaking refcount in cifs_queue_oplock_break() cifs_queue_oplock_break() unconditionally takes a reference on the target file before queueing cifs_oplock_break(). Only that work item decreases the reference counter again. If another oplock break arrives while that work is still queued, queue_work() will return false and not queue this second work item. As a result, we will never reach the point to drop the file reference again and are leaking this reference. This can be triggered when interacting with a slow-responding server. As a result, later unmount operations for this file system will fail with BUG: Dentry ... still in use (1) [unmount of cifs cifs] VFS: Busy inodes after unmount of cifs (cifs) kernel BUG at fs/super.c:777! Fix this by only incrementing the reference count if the work has been queued successfully. Taking it after queue_work() is safe because all three callers hold tcon->open_file_lock across the call and _cifsFileInfo_put() decrements under that same lock, so a worker that starts the handler in the window cannot drop the reference before it has been taken.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix queue teardown NULL dma_free and bitmap locking qla25xx_free_req_que() and qla25xx_free_rsp_que() have two pre-existing bugs exposed on the error path of qla25xx_create_{req,rsp}_que(): 1. When dma_alloc_coherent() fails during queue creation, the error path calls the free function with req->ring / rsp->ring still NULL (from kzalloc). The unconditional dma_free_coherent() with a NULL cpu_addr is undefined behavior and can panic. 2. The free functions clear req_qid_map / rsp_qid_map under vport_lock, but the create functions protect the same bitmaps with mq_lock. This provides no mutual exclusion. Additionally, the create error path clears the bit and releases mq_lock before calling the free function, creating a window where another thread can allocate the same que_id and have its ha->req_q_map entry clobbered by the subsequent lockless NULL assignment in the free function. Fix by: - Guarding dma_free_coherent() with a NULL check on the ring pointer. - Using mq_lock (the lock held by all creators) in the free functions to atomically NULL the map

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm/pat: Acquire init_mm read lock on attribute changes to avoid UAF A previous commit protected against races between ptdump and CPA collapse, however one still exists between attribute changes and collapse as reported by Denis V. Lunev (linked). When an attribute change arises, a lockless page table walker obtains a PTE entry, which is later written to via set_pte_atomic(): ... -> change_page_attr_set_clr() -> __change_page_attr_set_clr() -> __change_page_attr() -> _lookup_address_cpa() -> lookup_address_in_pgd_attr() -> [ lockless page table walker ] -> set_pte_atomic() There is nothing preventing a concurrent CPA collapse which can free the PTE that was retrieved here, resulting in a use-after-free. With the mmap write lock taken on init_mm over CPA collapse, resolve this race by acquiring an mmap read lock on init_mm over __change_page_attr_set_clr(). This locks across the whole operation over which the walk and the PTE entry write occurs, solving the race. It is safe to do this here, as no spinlocks are held upon entry to __change_page_attr_set_clr(). However, the lock must not be hel

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix soft lockup polling continuation IOCB signature qla27xx_copy_multiple_pCVE-2026-97530 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Fix soft lockup polling continuation IOCB signature qla27xx_copy_multiple_pkt() and qla27xx_copy_fpin_pkt() poll rsp_q->ring_ptr->signature for RESPONSE_PROCESSED (0xDEADDEAD) to decide whether the next continuation IOCB has arrived, spinning on cpu_relax() without advancing the ring or decrementing the entry count while it has not. response_t::signature lives at byte offset 60, but a continuation IOCB (sts_cont_entry_t / struct sts_cont_entry_ext) carries raw FC frame payload at that offset (data[56..59]). A received frame whose payload bytes happen to equal 0xDEADDEAD is therefore misread as "not yet arrived", and the loop spins forever in interrupt/DPC context, causing a CPU soft lockup. The poll is also unnecessary: callers of qla27xx_copy_multiple_pkt() (PT_LS4_UNSOL and the NVMe purls path) already gate on qla_chk_cont_iocb_avail(), which guarantees all entry_count IOCBs are present before copying begins. The sibling helper __qla_copy_purex_to_buffer() already drops the signature poll and relies on the entry_type == STATUS_CONT_TYPE guard instead. Remove the signature busy-wait from both he

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Serialize NVMe unsol ctx list with a per-fcport lock The fcport->unsol_ctx_head list is modified from several contexts without a common lock. Entries are added in qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb() from the response queue ISR (under the qpair qp_lock), while they are removed from qla2xxx_process_purls_pkt() (DPC/purex worker), qla_nvme_xmt_ls_rsp() (NVMe-FC transport callback) and qla_nvme_release_lsrsp_cmd_kref() (SRB completion). The qpair qp_lock cannot serialize this per-fcport list since multiqueue adapters add entries through different qpairs, so a concurrent add and delete (or two concurrent deletes) can corrupt the list pointers. Introduce a dedicated per-fcport spinlock, unsol_ctx_lock, initialized in qla2x00_alloc_fcport(), and take it around every list_add_tail()/list_del() on unsol_ctx_head. The add nests under the existing qp_lock; no delete path takes qp_lock, so the lock order is consistent and deadlock free.

Sep 25, 2026Gutenverse – WordPress Blocks, Page Builder & Site Editor: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-92746 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Gutenverse – WordPress Blocks, Page Builder & Site Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Post Comment Block 'suffixMain' Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. WordPress core wp_kses_post sanitization does not mitigate this vulnerability because the payload is stored inside a Gutenberg block delimiter comment rather than as a raw HTML tag, and is only rendered as exploitable HTML at the PHP render stage.

Sep 24, 2026The ixo Blockchain is a Layer 1 blockchain that runs on both Testnet and Mainnet.CVE-2026-61604 · Other software · ixofoundation · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
The ixo Blockchain is a Layer 1 blockchain that runs on both Testnet and Mainnet. Prior to version 8.0.0, the x/bonds module moved funds from an address that was resolved from a DID verification method, without verifying that the resolved address belonged to the transaction signer. Affected handlers included MsgMakeOutcomePayment, MsgBuy, MsgSell, MsgSwap, and MsgWithdrawShare, as well as the batch order processor. Because any account may list an arbitrary blockchainAccountID as a verification method on a DID it controls (without the consent of that address's owner), an attacker could register victims' addresses as verification methods on their own DID and then move the victims' balances into a bond the attacker controlled — later withdrawing and bridging the proceeds off-chain. This was exploited on ixo mainnet (ixo-5) on 2026-06-20. The attack required no victim keys, signatures, or system compromise — any account holding a balance in a token a bond could use was at risk. This was fixed in v8.0.0, delivered via the on-chain v8 software-upgrade. The x/bonds module is disabled: every bonds message is rejected on all routes (top-level, authz, CosmWasm, and ICA), and the bonds batch

Handling errors in UAS and the storage driver may involve resetting a device. The thread doing the reset itself relies on VM magic. However, that is insufficient, as resetting a device involves resuming it. Resumption as well as resetting involves conrol transfers to the parent of the device to be reset. That may be a root hub. Hence usbcore must heed the flags passed to usb_submit_urb() processing control transfers to root hubs. The problem exist since the storage driver has been merged.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: 8250: fix possible ISR soft lockup There are rare cases in which the host gets stuck in the ISR because it is flooded with messages during the startup phase. The reason for the soft lockup in the ISR is the missing FIFO error IRQ (FIFOE) handling. Not handling it and reporting IRQ_HANDLED triggers the IRQ immediately again. Fix this by adding a check for the FIFOE status and clearing the FIFO if no data is ready (DR). This behavior was observed on an AM62L device which uses the OMAP 8250 driver. Fix it for all 8250 drivers, since the OMAP driver's special IRQ setup handling may trigger this behavior more frequently, but it is not ensured that other 8250 drivers aren't affected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target() drop_netconsole_target() unlinks the target while only holding target_list_lock. However, when the underlying interface has been unregistered, netconsole_netdev_event() moves the target from target_list to target_cleanup_list, and netconsole_process_cleanups_core() walks that list under target_cleanup_list_lock only. If a user removes the configfs target at the same time the cleanup worker is iterating target_cleanup_list, list_del() can corrupt the list because the two paths take disjoint locks while operating on the same list node. Acquire target_cleanup_list_lock around the list_del() so the unlink is serialised against netconsole_process_cleanups_core() regardless of which list the target currently belongs to. The state transition that downgrades STATE_DEACTIVATED to STATE_DISABLED is left intact and is performed under the same combined locking, preserving the existing ordering with resume_target().

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: au1000: move free_irq out of the close-time spinlocked section au1000_close() calls fCVE-2026-93815 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: au1000: move free_irq out of the close-time spinlocked section au1000_close() calls free_irq() while aup->lock is still held with spin_lock_irqsave(). free_irq() can sleep because it takes the IRQ descriptor request mutex, so it does not belong inside the close-time spinlocked section. This was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by manual review of the in-tree au1000_close() .ndo_stop path. The reviewed path keeps aup->lock held across the MAC reset, queue stop and free_irq(dev->irq, dev). A directed runtime validation kept that ndo_stop carrier and the same free_irq(dev->irq, dev) operation under the driver lock. Lockdep reported "BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context" and "Invalid wait context" while free_irq() was taking desc->request_mutex, with au1000_close() and free_irq() on the stack. Drop aup->lock before freeing the IRQ. The protected close-time work still stops the device and queue before IRQ teardown, but the sleepable IRQ core path now runs outside the spinlocked section.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: core: Do not block on tag allocation in scsi_eh_lock_door() scsi_eh_lock_door() is cCVE-2026-93781 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: core: Do not block on tag allocation in scsi_eh_lock_door() scsi_eh_lock_door() is called from scsi_restart_operations() while the host is still in the SHOST_RECOVERY state, i.e. before the host is switched back to SHOST_RUNNING and scsi_run_host_queues() restarts the queues. It allocates a request via scsi_alloc_request() with no flags, so blk_mq_get_tag() may block waiting for a free sched tag when all tags are already in use. Those tags can be held by commands that were just requeued by scsi_eh_flush_done_q() during error handling. Such commands cannot be dispatched until the host leaves SHOST_RECOVERY and scsi_run_host_queues() is called - which only happens *after* scsi_eh_lock_door() returns. This forms a circular dependency: - scsi_eh_lock_door(), running in the SCSI error handler thread, waits for a sched tag held by a requeued command; - the requeued command cannot complete and release its sched tag until the error handler thread leaves scsi_restart_operations() and restart the queues. For devices with a single driver tag (e.g. USB storage) it is a guaranteed deadlock and I/O t

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: smbus: reject oversized block transfers in the common path The SMBus block transfer lCVE-2026-93287 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: smbus: reject oversized block transfers in the common path The SMBus block transfer length data->block[0] is validated in i2c_smbus_xfer_emulated() but that check runs too late for tracepoints and is skipped entirely when the adapter provides a native smbus_xfer implementation. This allows user-controlled oversized block lengths to reach tracepoint memcpy calls and driver callbacks unchecked. Add an early validation in __i2c_smbus_xfer() that rejects block transfers whose caller-supplied length is zero or exceeds I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX before any tracepoint fires or driver callback runs. data->block[0] is filled in by the device on SMBus block reads, so the check is scoped to operations where the length is actually supplied by the caller. This is consistent with the existing -EINVAL convention in the emulated path and protects all downstream consumers at once: the smbus_write tracepoint, all native smbus_xfer driver implementations, and the emulated path. Two distinct bugs are fixed by this change: Bug 1: smbus_write tracepoint OOB (include/trace/events/smbus.h) trace_smbus_write() fires before any validat

Sep 24, 2026`@bsv/wallet-toolbox` provides BRC-100 wallet signing and storage components, while `@bsv/wallet-toolbox-client` and `@bsv/wallet-toolbox-mobile` provide clientCVE-2026-56744 · Other software · bsv-blockchain · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
`@bsv/wallet-toolbox` provides BRC-100 wallet signing and storage components, while `@bsv/wallet-toolbox-client` and `@bsv/wallet-toolbox-mobile` provide client-focused distributions for standard and mobile applications using wallet storage services. A vulnerability in these packages causes transactions created through a remote `StorageClient` to trust output locking scripts returned by the storage provider without verifying that they match the outputs requested by the caller. A malicious or compromised storage provider can substitute a recipient script or inject an additional output, causing the wallet to sign and broadcast a transaction that redirects funds while the application and user interface continue to display the intended recipient. Source and npm publication history indicate that stable versions `@bsv/wallet-toolbox` and `@bsv/wallet-toolbox-client` from 1.1.47 through 2.3.3, and `@bsv/wallet-toolbox-mobile` from its initial 1.3.21 release through 2.3.3, are affected. All three packages are patched in version 2.4.0. Applications unable to upgrade should avoid remote `StorageClient` providers, use local storage, or independently verify every transaction output’s locking s

Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the cache lock implementation of the MongoDB integration for Laravel can cause a caller-supplied lock owner value to be evaluated as an aggregation expression rather than as a literal value. An authenticated user who can influence the owner value an application uses when acquiring or restoring a lock may take over or prematurely expire a lock held by another process, which can lead to duplicated or conflicting operations.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix circular lock dependency in ext4_ext_migrate Move iput(tmp_inode) after ext4_wriCVE-2026-93269 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix circular lock dependency in ext4_ext_migrate Move iput(tmp_inode) after ext4_writepages_up_write() to avoid a circular lock dependency between s_writepages_rwsem and sb_internal (freeze protection). The deadlock scenario: CPU0 (EXT4_IOC_MIGRATE) CPU1 (orphan cleanup during mount) ---- ---- ext4_ext_migrate() ext4_writepages_down_write() s_writepages_rwsem (write) ext4_evict_inode() sb_start_intwrite() [sb_internal] ... ext4_writepages() s_writepages_rwsem (read) [BLOCKED] iput(tmp_inode) ext4_evict_inode() sb_start_intwrite() [BLOCKED] The tmp_inode is a temporary inode with nlink=0 created solely for building the extent tree. Its eviction does not require s_writepages_rwsem protection, so deferring iput() until after releasing the rwsem is safe.

Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: skip extra isize expansion during mount to prevent deadlock ext4_try_to_expand_extraCVE-2026-93268 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: skip extra isize expansion during mount to prevent deadlock ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() is called from __ext4_mark_inode_dirty() while holding an active jbd2 handle. During mount (!SB_ACTIVE), the expand path may move xattrs to external blocks and release ea_inodes via iput(). When !SB_ACTIVE, iput() calls write_inode_now() which acquires s_writepages_rwsem, creating a circular lock dependency: s_writepages_rwsem --> jbd2_handle --> xattr_sem --> s_writepages_rwsem This can be triggered via: ext4_process_orphan() -> ext4_truncate() -> ext4_mark_inode_dirty() -> ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() or: ext4_evict_inode() -> ext4_mark_inode_dirty() -> ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() Skip expansion when !SB_ACTIVE. This is a minor loss of functionality (extra isize won't grow for these inodes during mount), which e2fsck can resolve later if needed.
