Jul 28, 2026Use of an insecure cryptographic algorithm in the cashless payment system using NFC wristbands from CasfID Servicios Tecnológicos S.L.U.CVE-2026-4648 · Other software · CasfID Servicios Tecnológicos · reported by cve-coordination@incibe.esMedium 6.8
Use of an insecure cryptographic algorithm in the cashless payment system using NFC wristbands from CasfID Servicios Tecnológicos S.L.U. (version used at Resurrection Fest 2025), which employs cards based on MIFARE Classic technology (FM11RF08S). The cryptographic weakness of the authentication algorithm allows an attacker to retrieve access keys using techniques known as Backdoored Nested Attack, read the wristband’s entire contents, and clone its credentials onto a compatible rewritable card. Exploitation of this vulnerability could enable the impersonation of other attendees, the fraudulent use of the balance associated with their wristbands, and financial losses for both the affected users and the event organizers.

Jul 27, 2026The lack of cryptographic mechanisms to ensure the integrity and authenticity of communications in Ghost Robotics' Vision 60 robot (APK v5.5.0) exposes the systCVE-2026-12991 · Other software · Ghost Robotics · reported by cve-coordination@incibe.esHigh 8.7
The lack of cryptographic mechanisms to ensure the integrity and authenticity of communications in Ghost Robotics' Vision 60 robot (APK v5.5.0) exposes the system to man-in-the-middle attacks. An attacker located on the local network can use ARP spoofing and selective traffic blocking techniques to intercept and manipulate packets between the legitimate operator and the robot. This allows the attacker to disconnect the original controller, establish unauthorized communications, and prevent the operator from regaining control of the device, seriously compromising the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of operations.

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - remove unused character device and IOCTLs The QAT driver exposes a characterCVE-2026-64529 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - remove unused character device and IOCTLs The QAT driver exposes a character device (qat_adf_ctl) with IOCTLs for device configuration, start, stop, status query and enumeration. These IOCTLs are not part of any public uAPI header and have no known in-tree or out-of-tree users. Device lifecycle is already managed via sysfs. The ioctl interface also increases the attack surface and is the subject of a number of bug reports. Remove the character device, the IOCTL definitions, and the related data structures (adf_dev_status_info, adf_user_cfg_key_val, adf_user_cfg_section, adf_user_cfg_ctl_data). Drop the now-unused adf_cfg_user.h header and strip adf_ctl_drv.c down to the minimal module_init/module_exit hooks for workqueue, AER, and crypto/compression algorithm registration. Clean up leftover dead code that was only reachable from the removed IOCTL paths: adf_cfg_del_all(), adf_devmgr_verify_id(), adf_devmgr_get_num_dev(), adf_devmgr_get_dev_by_id(), adf_get_vf_real_id() and the unused ADF_CFG macros. Additionally, drop the entry associated to QAT IOCTLs in ioctl-number.rst.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - fix VF2PF work teardown race in adf_disable_sriov() The VF2PF interrupt handler queues PF-side response work that stores a raw pointer to per-VF state (struct adf_accel_vf_info). Currently, adf_disable_sriov() destroys per-VF mutexes and frees vf_info without stopping new VF2PF work or waiting for in-flight workers to complete. Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: chacha20poly1305 - validate poly1305 template argument chachapoly_create() still aCVE-2026-64314 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: chacha20poly1305 - validate poly1305 template argument chachapoly_create() still accepts the compatibility poly1305 parameter in the template name, but it assumes the second template argument is always present and immediately passes it to strcmp(). When the argument is missing, crypto_attr_alg_name() returns an error pointer. Check for that before comparing the name so malformed template instantiations fail with an error instead of dereferencing the error pointer in strcmp(). This matches the surrounding Crypto API template pattern where crypto_attr_alg_name() results are validated before string-specific use.

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ecc - Fix carry overflow in vli multiplication The carry flag calculation fails whCVE-2026-64313 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ecc - Fix carry overflow in vli multiplication The carry flag calculation fails when r01.m_high is saturated (0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF) and addition of lower bits overflows. The condition (r01.m_high < product.m_high) doesn't handle the case where r01.m_high == product.m_high and an additional carry exists from lower-bit overflow. When commit 3c4b23901a0c ("crypto: ecdh - Add ECDH software support") introduced crypto/ecc.c, it split the muladd() function in the micro-ecc library into separate mul_64_64() and add_128_128() helpers. It seems the check got lost in translation. Add proper handling for this boundary by accounting for the carry from the lower addition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: pcrypt - restore callback for non-parallel fallback pcrypt installs pcrypt_aead_done() on the child AEAD request before trying to submit it through padata. If padata_do_parallel() returns -EBUSY, pcrypt falls back to calling the child AEAD directly. That fallback must not keep the padata completion callback. Otherwise an asynchronous completion runs pcrypt_aead_done() even though the request was never enrolled in padata. Restore the original request callback and callback data before calling the child AEAD directly. This keeps the fallback path aligned with a direct AEAD request while leaving the parallel path unchanged.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: loongson - Remove broken and unused loongson-rng The loongson-rng rng_alg has several vulnerabilities, including not providing forward security, and a use-after-free bug due to the use of wait_for_completion_interruptible(). Meanwhile, the rng_alg framework doesn't really have any purpose in the first place other than to access the software algorithms crypto/drbg.c and crypto/jitterentropy.c. Hardware-specific rng_algs have no in-kernel user, and unlike hwrng there's no feed into the actual Linux RNG. As such, there's really no point to this code. There are of course other rng_alg drivers that are similarly unused, but they're similarly in the process of being phased out, e.g. https://lore.kernel.org/r/20260529193648.18172-1-ebiggers@kernel.org and https://lore.kernel.org/r/20260529220430.34135-1-ebiggers@kernel.org Given that, there's no point in fixing forward these vulnerabilities, and it makes much more sense to simply roll back the addition of this driver. If this platform provides TRNG (not PRNG) functionality, it could make sense to add a hwrng driver, but it would be quite different.

After the firmware command, it does SEV_SHUTDOWN on the SEV firmware. Since these commands do not require SNP to be initialized, skip it by calling __sev_platform_init_locked() which only initializes the SEV firmware. This way SNP is not Initialized at all, and HSAVE_PA is not cleared. The previous code saved any SEV initialization firmware error to init_args.error and then threw it away and hardcoded the return value of INVALID_PLATFORM_STATE regardless of the real firmware error. This patch changes it to surface the underlying error, which is hopefully both more useful and doesn't ca

That is, the initialization/shutdown wrapper here is pointless, because the firmware immediately throws away the key anyway. Instead, refuse to do anything if SNP has not been previously initialized. This is an ABI break: before, this was a no-op and almost certainly a mistake by userspace, and now it returns -ENODEV. ABI compatibility could be maintained here by simply returning 0 in the check instead.

This is technically an ABI break: before if SNP initialization failed it could be transparently retriggered by this ioctl, and if no VMs were running, everything worked fine. Hopefully this is enough of a corner case that nobody will notice, but someone does, there are a few options: * do something like symbol_get() for kvm and refuse to initialize if KVM is loaded * check each cpu's HSAVE_PA for non-zero data before re-initializing * once initialization has failed, continue to refuse to initialize until the ccp module is unloaded

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - protect service table iterations with service_lock The service_table list is protected by service_lock when entries are added or removed (in adf_service_add() and adf_service_remove()), but several functions iterate over the list without holding this lock. A concurrent adf_service_register() or adf_service_unregister() call could modify the list during traversal, leading to list corruption or a use-after-free. Fix this by holding service_lock across all list_for_each_entry() iterations of service_table in adf_dev_init(), adf_dev_start(), adf_dev_stop(), adf_dev_shutdown(), adf_dev_restarting_notify(), adf_dev_restarted_notify(), and adf_error_notifier(). The lock ordering is safe: callers of the static helpers (adf_dev_up() and adf_dev_down()) acquire state_lock before service_lock, and no event_hld callback or service_lock holder ever acquires state_lock in the reverse order.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - validate RSA CRT component lengths The generic RSA key parser (rsa_helper.c) bounds each CRT component (p, q, dp, dq, qinv) by the modulus size n_sz, but qat_rsa_setkey_crt() allocates half-size DMA buffers (key_sz / 2) and right-aligns each component with: memcpy(dst + half_key_sz - len, src, len) When a CRT component is larger than half_key_sz the subtraction underflows and memcpy writes past the DMA buffer, causing memory corruption. Add a len > half_key_sz check next to the existing !len check for each of the five CRT components so the driver falls back to the non-CRT path instead of writing out of bounds.

Jul 21, 2026A vulnerability was found in kronosnet's (version <=1.34) cryptographic configuration management.CVE-2026-15811 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.8
A vulnerability was found in kronosnet's (version <=1.34) cryptographic configuration management. The framework does not correctly zero-out or wipe sensitive memory segments after executing changes to its cryptographic configuration. This omission leaves raw encryption keys resident in memory after the associated structures are freed. A local attacker capable of leveraging memory disclosure techniques could exploit this flaw to retrieve the active encryption key, allowing them to decrypt cluster network communications or inject malicious packets to cause severe high-availability cluster instability.

Parsec is a cloud-based application for simple and cryptographically secure file sharing. The application does not sanitize the workspace name, creating a vulnerability if that workspace name is a UNC path. When creating mountpoint in the windows filesystem to mount the workspace of an organization, the application does not sanitize the workspace name. The cause issue if the workspace name evaluate to a UNC path since it's allowed for the name to containt `\` char. If the UNC path is invalid (or the targeted resource is not available) the application become unresponsive otherwise the system will interact with the mounted UNC path allowing the attacker to retrieve to [`NTLM`] hash.

Jul 20, 2026FreeRDP before 3.28.0 (affected <=3.27.1) contains a heap-based buffer overflow in crypto_rsa_common() (libfreerdp/crypto/crypto.c).CVE-2026-64620 · Other software · FreeRDP · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3
FreeRDP before 3.28.0 (affected <=3.27.1) contains a heap-based buffer overflow in crypto_rsa_common() (libfreerdp/crypto/crypto.c). The function writes the modular-exponentiation result into the caller's output buffer via BN_bn2bin() and only afterward checks output_length > out_length, so out-of-bounds bytes are written before the bounds check. On the server side, when a client selects RDP Standard Security, the encrypted client random is decrypted into a fixed 32-byte buffer. Because the server publishes its RSA public key, an unauthenticated attacker can forge a ciphertext whose decrypted value is up to the full modulus length (e.g. 256 bytes for RSA-2048), overflowing the 32-byte heap buffer by up to ~224 attacker-controlled bytes pre-authentication, resulting in denial of service.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: llsec: add skb_cow_data() before in-place crypto llsec_do_encrypt_unauth(), llsec_do_encrypt_auth(), llsec_do_decrypt_unauth(), and llsec_do_decrypt_auth() all perform in-place cryptographic transformations on skb data. They build a scatterlist with sg_init_one() pointing into the skb's linear data area and then pass the same scatterlist as both src and dst to the crypto API (e.g. crypto_skcipher_encrypt/decrypt, crypto_aead_encrypt/decrypt). On the RX path, __ieee802154_rx_handle_packet() clones the received skb before handing it to each subscriber via ieee802154_subif_frame(). The cloned skb shares the same underlying data buffer via reference counting. When llsec_do_decrypt() subsequently modifies this shared buffer in place, it corrupts data that other clones -- potentially belonging to other sockets or subsystems -- still reference. On the TX path, similar data sharing can occur when an skb's head has been cloned (skb_cloned() returns true). The fix is to call skb_cow_data() before performing any in-place crypto operation. skb_cow_data() ensures that the skb's data area is not shared: if th

RustCrypto CMOV provides conditional move CPU intrinsics which are guaranteed on major platforms to execute in constant-time and not be rewritten as branches by the compiler. From 0.1.1 until 0.5.4, the aarch64 implementations of Cmov and CmovEq in cmov/src/backends/aarch64.rs assume high bits are zero-extended when loading values smaller than a register, so set high bits such as [8..] in a Cmov selector or [16..] of self or other in the u16 and i16 CmovEq implementations can cause left.cmovz(&right, condition) to produce incorrect output. WireGuard Easy through 15.3.0, fixed in commit 66b292b, contains a cryptographically weak one-time link token generation vulnerability that allows unauthenticated network attackers to recover WireGuard peer credentials by brute-forcing a keyspace of at most 1000 candidate tokens per client ID, as the token is computed using CRC32 over a random value constrained to 0-999. Attackers can enumerate candidate tokens against the unauthenticated /cnf/:oneTimeLink route, which lacks rate limiting and does not validate token expiration, to obtain a peer's PrivateKey and PresharedKey and impersonate that peer on the VPN network.
