  • Sep 2, 2026When NGINX Ingress Controller is configured with Ingress annotations, an injection vulnerability exists in the configuration generator of NGINX Ingress ControllCVE-2026-77180 · Network & remote access · F5 · reported by f5sirt@f5.comHigh 8.7

    When NGINX Ingress Controller is configured with Ingress annotations, an injection vulnerability exists in the configuration generator of NGINX Ingress Controller. Multiple user-controllable fields are written into the generated NGINX configuration without sanitization. An authenticated attacker with permission to create or modify these annotations may craft values that inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives. Impact: An authenticated attacker granted write access to NGINX Ingress Controller Ingress annotations through the Kubernetes API may be able to inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives, create or delete files, or disable services. There is no data plane exposure; this is a control plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

    Description: When NGINX Plus is configured as the data plane for NGINX Gateway Fabric, an injection vulnerability exists in the NGINX configuration generator component of NGINX Gateway Fabric. User-supplied string values from the Authentication Filter Custom Resource Definition clientID or cookieName fields, or in the clientSecret field of a Secret referenced by an Authentication Filter, are rendered directly into NGINX configuration templates without sanitization or escaping. • Sep 2, 2026Yoast SEO Premium: Does not sanitize control characters from redirect origins before writing them to the site's Apache configuration fileCVE-2026-10821 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 6.6

    The Yoast SEO Premium WordPress plugin before 27.6.1 does not sanitize control characters from redirect origins before writing them to the site's Apache configuration file when the file-based redirect mode is enabled, and the redirect-creation endpoint is reachable by users with only Author-level access. This allows such users to inject arbitrary newline-delimited Apache directives into the root .htaccess file. On Apache servers that honour PHP directives, the injection can be chained with the user's own media upload (a polyglot image carrying a PHP payload) and an auto_prepend_file directive to achieve Remote Code Execution.

    A OS command injection vulnerability in yast2-auth-client allows an attacker who controls Active Directory configuration values to execute arbitrary commands as root on the configured host. Auth::AuthConf in src/lib/auth/authconf.rb assembles the Samba net ads join, net ads lookup -S and net ads testjoin invocations by interpolating configuration values into a single command string and passing that string to Open3.popen2 / Open3.capture2, which causes Ruby to run it through /bin/sh. A weakness in the client-side encryption configuration surface of the MongoDB C# Driver causes sensitive key-management credential material supplied by the application to be reproduced verbatim in the driver's human-readable diagnostic representation of its client settings, instead of being masked as other secret fields are. A party able to read the application's logs, diagnostic output, or a process memory dump may thereby recover the plaintext credentials and use them to decrypt protected field data.

  • Aug 27, 2026openssl_encrypt (pip package openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 contain a CWD-relative configuration file resolution flaw in crypt_settings.py, where CONFIG_FILCVE-2026-81697 · Other software · jahlives · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

    openssl_encrypt (pip package openssl-encrypt) versions <= 1.4.8 contain a CWD-relative configuration file resolution flaw in crypt_settings.py, where CONFIG_FILE (originally the absolute per-user path ~/.crypt_settings.json) is reassigned at line 84 to the bare relative name 'crypt_settings.json'. As a result, the legacy Tk GUI's SettingsTab reads and writes KDF settings from crypt_settings.json in the process launch (current working) directory instead of the user's home directory. An attacker who plants a malicious crypt_settings.json (e.g. sha256:1 with all memory-hard KDFs disabled) can silently downgrade encryption performed in that GUI session to roughly one hash round, bypassing the weak-KDF preflight and enabling offline brute-force attacks against the resulting ciphertext. Fixed in 1.4.9.

  • Aug 27, 2026darknet subscripts its layer array with an index taken from a configuration file without checking it against the array's length.CVE-2026-81334 · Other software · hank-ai · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

    darknet subscripts its layer array with an index taken from a configuration file without checking it against the array's length. The array is allocated in src-lib/darknet_network.cpp as xcalloc(net.n, sizeof(Darknet::Layer)), sized to exactly the number of layer sections the file declares. The shortcut, scale_channels and sam sections supply that index through their from field and the route section through its layers field, and parse_shortcut_section in src-lib/darknet_cfg.cpp reads net.layers[index].outputs with no bounds check, which reads past the allocation. The dispatch loop in create_network then reuses the same index to assign net.layers[l.index].use_bin_output and net.layers[l.index].keep_delta_gpu, writing past the allocation at an offset the file controls, with a fixed one-byte value. Parsing a crafted configuration file is sufficient: the parse runs before any weights file is opened and needs no non-default option, so the result is a reliable crash and a write whose location, though not its value, is chosen by whoever supplied the file.

  • Aug 27, 2026Affected versions of Flowintel allow the LOG_FILE configuration value to be modified through system settings without restricting it to a filename inside the intCVE-2026-81743 · Other software · flowintel · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7.5

    Affected versions of Flowintel allow the LOG_FILE configuration value to be modified through system settings without restricting it to a filename inside the intended log directory. Because the application constructs the log destination from this configurable value, an administrator could set LOG_FILE to an arbitrary filesystem path. Since attackers can influence logged content, this enables controlled data to be written into unintended files. The upstream commit specifically describes an exploitation chain in which an attacker injects a template into a chosen file and subsequently abuses application rendering behavior to execute code. The patch removes LOG_FILE from the web-editable settings, introduces validate_log_file_name() to reject absolute paths, traversal, Windows paths, null bytes, and directory components, and centralizes log path construction through resolve_log_file_path(). • Aug 27, 2026Affected versions of Flowintel improperly trust configuration keys supplied to the alerts settings update endpoint.CVE-2026-81662 · Other software · flowintel · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.6

    Affected versions of Flowintel improperly trust configuration keys supplied to the alerts settings update endpoint. While configuration values were normalized to Python literals, the corresponding keys were used directly when constructing and replacing lines in conf/config_module.py. The vulnerable code used requester-controlled keys in both the regular expression and the generated assignment: f'{key} = {py_val}' and appended an assignment if the key was not already present. The modified Python configuration module was subsequently reloaded using importlib.reload(). This creates a code-generation boundary in which specially crafted configuration keys can alter the Python source structure and result in execution of attacker-controlled Python statements. Version impacted >=3.3.0
