  • Aug 19, 2026Punk::OAuth2 versions before 0.03 for Perl allow an attacker-chosen off-site redirect after login because same_origin_path accepts a backslash or tab in the retCVE-2026-75628 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 5.7

Punk::OAuth2 versions before 0.03 for Perl allow an attacker-chosen off-site redirect after login because same_origin_path accepts a backslash or tab in the return parameter. oauth2_login reads the return parameter from the initiation request, runs same_origin_path over it, and stores the survivor in the session flow record as the post-login redirect target. That check rejects a value that does not begin with a slash, one with a slash as its second byte, and one containing CR or LF. A backslash and a tab pass. The URL Standard treats a backslash as equivalent to a slash for special schemes, so `/\evil.example` parses with the authority `evil.example`. It also strips ASCII tab before parsing, so a tab between two leading slashes leaves `//evil.example`. A crafted link to the application's own login route lands the victim on the attacker's site after a genuine authentication. The redirect carries no authorization code or access token.

  • Aug 19, 2026Grav Login Plugin adds login, basic ACL, and session wide messages to Grav.CVE-2026-62671 · Other software · getgrav · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Grav Login Plugin adds login, basic ACL, and session wide messages to Grav. Prior to 3.8.11, the Grav Login plugin login.regenerate2FASecret task accepts a top-level GET request through the TaskServiceProvider task: URI parameter without requiring a login-form nonce, an Origin check, or a Referer check. Under the default SameSite=Lax session cookie policy, an off-site navigation can invoke taskRegenerate2FASecret() in a logged-in victim's session, overwrite the victim's TOTP secret, and force two-factor re-enrollment. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.11.

Grav Login Plugin adds login, basic ACL, and session wide messages to Grav. Prior to 3.8.11, the Grav Login plugin login.regenerate2FASecret task checks only that the pending-session user exists rather than requiring $user->authorized. After submitting a victim's correct password, an attacker can invoke taskRegenerate2FASecret() during the pending TOTP challenge, overwrite twofa_secret, read the replacement secret from the response, calculate a valid code, and complete authentication without the victim's second factor. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.11.

Plainpad through 1.1.1, fixed in commit d3823fc, contains a missing rate limiting vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to send unbounded login requests to the POST /v1/sessions endpoint due to dead code in App\Http\Kernel.php that is never instantiated under the Laravel 11+ skeleton, leaving the API throttle configuration unattached to any route. Attackers can exploit this by sending unlimited credential attempts with no lockout or CAPTCHA enforcement, and additionally trigger CPU exhaustion by forcing repeated bcrypt comparisons on each request.

  • Aug 16, 2026User Login History: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-2283 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.9

The User Login History plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'blog_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.7. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. The The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 4.16.19. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes. The partial mitigation introduced via strip_shortcodes() on [profile-first-name] and [profile-last-name] can be bypassed through the [profile-display-name format="first_last_names"] render path, the [profile-bio] render path (which re-fetches the raw description meta), and the double-bracket escape sequence [[tag]], all of which allow attacker-controlled shortcode text to reach the outer do_shortcode() call.

  • Aug 11, 2026Social Login, Passkeys, Magic Link & Email OTP – Passwordless Login by VentraConnect: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-18961 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Social Login, Passkeys, Magic Link & Email OTP – Passwordless Login by VentraConnect plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Unverified Provider Email in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.3. This is due to the plugin trusting the unverified email field returned by Spotify's /v1/me endpoint as proof of mailbox ownership — Generic::normalize_common() copies this value into the normalized profile without requiring an email_verified assertion, and User_Links::link_or_login_user() subsequently passes it directly to get_user_by('email', $email) and issues a persistent authentication cookie via wp_set_auth_cookie() without a provider-specific verified-email gate, a local mailbox challenge, or a logged-in approval step. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as any existing WordPress user, including Administrators, by supplying a known target email address through a controlled Spotify OAuth flow, gaining full administrative access to the site.

n8n before 2.32.1 (and before 2.31.5) is vulnerable to account takeover via the Token Exchange Embed Login feature. When a validly-signed incoming token was matched to a local account by its email claim, the service did not verify that the email claim was verified, nor that the trusted key's permitted role ceiling covered that account. As a result, anyone able to obtain a token accepted by a configured trusted key (for example, a trusted issuer emitting unverified email addresses) could authenticate as any existing user and gain full account control. • Aug 11, 2026`openvt -u` is intended to identify the owner of the current VT and then execute `login` as that user from a privileged context.CVE-2026-72693 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8

`openvt -u` is intended to identify the owner of the current VT and then execute `login` as that user from a privileged context. In the documented `kbrequest`/init usage, the ownership test in `authenticate_user()` relies on `stat("/proc/<pid>/fd/0")`. `stat()` on `/proc/<pid>/fd/0` follows the symlink to the underlying TTY device node. As a result, `buf.st_uid` reflects the owner of the TTY node rather than the owner of the process holding the file descriptor. If the TTY owner returns to `root` or the getty owner after logout while an unprivileged process still has `fd 0` attached to that TTY, the check can incorrectly treat that process as belonging to the privileged console owner. Once that check succeeds, the `-u` path executes a passwordless login as the selected user. In the documented `kbrequest`/init deployment using `openvt -us`, this can result in passwordless `login -f root` on the spawned VT. This report establishes that privilege escalation path for that documented deployment; it does not claim equivalent reachability for deployments that do not use `openvt -u` from a privileged `kbrequest`/init path.

Sonatype Nexus Repository 3 did not immediately terminate a user's active login session or revoke their cached permissions when that user's account was deleted, deactivated, or had its password changed. A user whose account was already logged in at the time of one of these actions could continue using their existing session to interact with the repository as though the account were still active, until that session independently expired. Depending on the permissions previously held, this could allow continued unauthorized access to read, modify, or delete repository content after access was intended to be revoked.

  • Aug 6, 2026When Multi-Attribute Login is enabled, the login interface fails to consistently mask the existence of user accounts.CVE-2025-13736 · Other software · WSO2 · reported by ed10eef1-636d-4fbe-9993-6890dfa878f8Low 3.7

When Multi-Attribute Login is enabled, the login interface fails to consistently mask the existence of user accounts. For valid users, the server resolves and displays their canonical username, while for non-existent users, it echoes the original input. This occurs regardless of the validate_username configuration. The discovery of valid usernames can increase the risk of brute force attacks, social engineering attacks, and targeted information leakage. Attackers can leverage this information to craft more effective phishing campaigns or social engineering tactics to compromise user accounts or extract sensitive data.

DjangoCRM's toggle_default_sorting view is the only route in common/urls.py that is not wrapped in login_required or staff_member_required, and it redirects to a caller-supplied next_url GET parameter after only checking secure_url(next_url), which merely verifies the target host matches the current site's domain (blocking only cross-domain redirects) while allowing any same-site path with no authentication required to reach the view.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
