Nov 26, 2025Forge (also called `node-forge`) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript.CVE-2025-66031 · Other software · digitalbazaar · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
Forge (also called `node-forge`) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. An Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in node-forge versions 1.3.1 and below enables remote, unauthenticated attackers to craft deep ASN.1 structures that trigger unbounded recursive parsing. This leads to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) via stack exhaustion when parsing untrusted DER inputs. This issue has been patched in version 1.3.2.

Forge (also called `node-forge`) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. An Integer Overflow vulnerability in node-forge versions 1.3.1 and below enables remote, unauthenticated attackers to craft ASN.1 structures containing OIDs with oversized arcs. These arcs may be decoded as smaller, trusted OIDs due to 32-bit bitwise truncation, enabling the bypass of downstream OID-based security decisions. This issue has been patched in version 1.3.2.

Nov 12, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpt3sas: Fix crash in transport port remove by using ioc_info() During mpt3sas_transCVE-2025-40115 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpt3sas: Fix crash in transport port remove by using ioc_info() During mpt3sas_transport_port_remove(), messages were logged with dev_printk() against &mpt3sas_port->port->dev. At this point the SAS transport device may already be partially unregistered or freed, leading to a crash when accessing its struct device. Using ioc_info(), which logs via the PCI device (ioc->pdev->dev), guaranteed to remain valid until driver removal. Oct 29, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: transport_ipc: validate payload size before reading handle handle_response() derefeCVE-2025-40084 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: transport_ipc: validate payload size before reading handle handle_response() dereferences the payload as a 4-byte handle without verifying that the declared payload size is at least 4 bytes. A malformed or truncated message from ksmbd.mountd can lead to a 4-byte read past the declared payload size. Validate the size before dereferencing. This is a minimal fix to guard the initial handle read.

Oct 20, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/9p: Fix buffer overflow in USB transport layer A buffer overflow vulnerability exists CVE-2025-40004 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/9p: Fix buffer overflow in USB transport layer A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the USB 9pfs transport layer where inconsistent size validation between packet header parsing and actual data copying allows a malicious USB host to overflow heap buffers. The issue occurs because: - usb9pfs_rx_header() validates only the declared size in packet header - usb9pfs_rx_complete() uses req->actual (actual received bytes) for memcpy This allows an attacker to craft packets with small declared size (bypassing validation) but large actual payload (triggering overflow in memcpy). Add validation in usb9pfs_rx_complete() to ensure req->actual does not exceed the buffer capacity before copying data.

@akoskm/create-mcp-server-stdio is an MCP server starter kit that uses the StdioServerTransport. Prior to version 0.0.13, the MCP Server is written in a way that is vulnerable to command injection vulnerability attacks as part of some of its MCP Server tool definition and implementation. The MCP Server exposes the tool `which-app-on-port` which relies on Node.js child process API `exec` which is an unsafe and vulnerable API if concatenated with untrusted user input. Version 0.0.13 contains a fix for the issue.

Jun 11, 2025SunGrow's back end users system iSolarCloud https://isolarcloud.com uses an MQTT service to transport data from the user's connected devices to the user's webCVE-2025-29756 · Other software · SunGrow · reported by csirt@divd.nlHigh 8.3
SunGrow's back end users system iSolarCloud https://isolarcloud.com uses an MQTT service to transport data from the user's connected devices to the user's web browser. The MQTT server however did not have sufficient restrictions in place to limit the topics that a user could subscribe to. While the data that is transmitted through the MQTT server is encrypted and the credentials for the MQTT server are obtained though an API call, the credentials could be used to subscribe to any topic and the encryption key can be used to decrypt all messages received. An attack with an account on iSolarCloud.com could extract MQTT credentials and the decryption key from the browser and then use an external program to subscribe to the topic '#' and thus recieve all messages from all connected devices.

So we need to check the rphy to avoid possible NULL pointer access. If sas_rphy_add() returned with failure, rphy is set to NULL. We would access the rphy in the following lines which would also result NULL pointer access.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpi3mr: Bad drive in topology results kernel crash When the SAS Transport Layer support is enabled and a device exposed to the OS by the driver fails INQUIRY commands, the driver frees up the memory allocated for an internal HBA port data structure. However, in some places, the reference to the freed memory is not cleared. When the firmware sends the Device Info change event for the same device again, the freed memory is accessed and that leads to memory corruption and OS crash.

May 1, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: detect and prevent references to a freed transport in sendmsg sctp_sendmsg() re-usesCVE-2025-23142 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: detect and prevent references to a freed transport in sendmsg sctp_sendmsg() re-uses associations and transports when possible by doing a lookup based on the socket endpoint and the message destination address, and then sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() sets the selected transport in all the message chunks to be sent. There's a possible race condition if another thread triggers the removal of that selected transport, for instance, by explicitly unbinding an address with setsockopt(SCTP_SOCKOPT_BINDX_REM), after the chunks have been set up and before the message is sent. This can happen if the send buffer is full, during the period when the sender thread temporarily releases the socket lock in sctp_wait_for_sndbuf(). This causes the access to the transport data in sctp_outq_select_transport(), when the association outqueue is flushed, to result in a use-after-free read. This change avoids this scenario by having sctp_transport_free() signal the freeing of the transport, tagging it as "dead". In order to do this, the patch restores the "dead" bit in struct sctp_transport, which was removed in commit 47faa1e4c50e ("sc

An Improper Input Validation vulnerability in the syslog stream TCP transport of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX240, MX480 and MX960 devices with MX-SPC3 Security Services Card allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker, to send specific spoofed packets to cause a CPU Denial of Service (DoS) to the MX-SPC3 SPUs. Continued receipt and processing of these specific packets will sustain the DoS condition. This issue affects Junos OS: * All versions before 22.2R3-S6, * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S4, * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3, * from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S4, * from 24.2 before 24.2R1-S2, 24.2R2 An indicator of compromise will indicate the SPC3 SPUs utilization has spiked. Feb 26, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip_gre: test csum_start instead of transport header GRE with TUNNEL_CSUM will apply local CVE-2022-49340 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ip_gre: test csum_start instead of transport header GRE with TUNNEL_CSUM will apply local checksum offload on CHECKSUM_PARTIAL packets. ipgre_xmit must validate csum_start after an optional skb_pull, else lco_csum may trigger an overflow. The original check was if (csum && skb_checksum_start(skb) < skb->data) return -EINVAL; This had false positives when skb_checksum_start is undefined: when ip_summed is not CHECKSUM_PARTIAL. A discussed refinement was straightforward if (csum && skb->ip_summed == CHECKSUM_PARTIAL && skb_checksum_start(skb) < skb->data) return -EINVAL; But was eventually revised more thoroughly: - restrict the check to the only branch where needed, in an uncommon GRE path that uses header_ops and calls skb_pull. - test skb_transport_header, which is set along with csum_start in skb_partial_csum_set in the normal header_ops datapath. Turns out skbs can arrive in this branch without the transport header set, e.g., through BPF redirection. Revise the check back to check csum_start directly, and only if CHECKSUM_PARTIAL. Do leave the check in the updated location. Check field re

Feb 12, 2025CrowdStrike uses industry-standard TLS (transport layer security) to secure communications from the Falcon sensor to the CrowdStrike cloud.CVE-2025-1146 · Other software · CrowdStrike · reported by 13ddcd98-6f4a-40a8-8e24-29ca0aee4661High 8.1
CrowdStrike uses industry-standard TLS (transport layer security) to secure communications from the Falcon sensor to the CrowdStrike cloud. CrowdStrike has identified a validation logic error in the Falcon sensor for Linux, Falcon Kubernetes Admission Controller, and Falcon Container Sensor where our TLS connection routine to the CrowdStrike cloud can incorrectly process server certificate validation. This could allow an attacker with the ability to control network traffic to potentially conduct a man-in-the-middle (MiTM) attack. CrowdStrike identified this issue internally and released a security fix in all Falcon sensor for Linux, Falcon Kubernetes Admission Controller, and Falcon Container Sensor versions 7.06 and above. CrowdStrike identified this issue through our longstanding, rigorous security review process, which has been continually strengthened with deeper source code analysis and ongoing program enhancements as part of our commitment to security resilience. CrowdStrike has no indication of any exploitation of this issue in the wild. CrowdStrike has leveraged its world class threat hunting and intelligence capabilities to actively monitor for signs of abuse or usage o

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/bpf: return early if transport is not assigned Some of the core functions can only be called if the transport has been assigned. As Michal reported, a socket might have the transport at NULL, for example after a failed connect(), causing the following trace: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 00000000000000a0 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 12faf8067 P4D 12faf8067 PUD 113670067 PMD 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP NOPTI CPU: 15 UID: 0 PID: 1198 Comm: a.out Not tainted 6.13.0-rc2+ RIP: 0010:vsock_connectible_has_data+0x1f/0x40 Call Trace: vsock_bpf_recvmsg+0xca/0x5e0 sock_recvmsg+0xb9/0xc0 __sys_recvfrom+0xb3/0x130 __x64_sys_recvfrom+0x20/0x30 do_syscall_64+0x93/0x180 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e So we need to check the `vsk->transport` in vsock_bpf_recvmsg(), especially for connected sockets (stream/seqpacket) as we already do in __vsock_connectible_recvmsg().

Jan 31, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: discard packets if the transport changes If the socket has been de-assigned CVE-2025-21669 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: discard packets if the transport changes If the socket has been de-assigned or assigned to another transport, we must discard any packets received because they are not expected and would cause issues when we access vsk->transport. A possible scenario is described by Hyunwoo Kim in the attached link, where after a first connect() interrupted by a signal, and a second connect() failed, we can find `vsk->transport` at NULL, leading to a NULL pointer dereference.
