  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package `openclaw`) before 2026.8.1 incorrectly enforces sender tool policies during session-memory filename generation.CVE-2026-100545 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6

OpenClaw (npm package `openclaw`) before 2026.8.1 incorrectly enforces sender tool policies during session-memory filename generation. In affected versions, filename generation created an embedded helper that retained tools which the originating sender's policy had removed. When session-memory filename generation was enabled for an agent reachable by lower-trust senders, model-mediated instructions could cause the helper to invoke tools outside that sender's effective policy; the demonstrated impact was the creation of persistent scheduled work. Exploitability depends on the model acting on the injected instruction and on which tools the helper exposes. The issue is fixed in 2026.8.1; as a workaround, disable session-memory filename generation for agents reachable by lower-trust senders.

  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.8.1 does not apply the originating sender's global or per-agent toolsBySender policy when handling outbound attachCVE-2026-100538 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.8.1 does not apply the originating sender's global or per-agent toolsBySender policy when handling outbound attachments. A sender that has been explicitly denied filesystem read tools can still cause a known local file to be read and returned via a final-response media directive or a message attachment, disclosing local file contents to an admitted requester whose agent turn did not include the read tool. Exploitation requires knowledge or derivation of a useful host path and a delivery flow that accepts local attachments. The issue is fixed in version 2026.8.1.

  • Sep 25, 2026@openclaw/whatsapp (npm) before 2026.8.1 exposes the WhatsApp login tool through the generic channel-tool path without preserving the originating sender's ownerCVE-2026-100532 · Other software · openclaw · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.2

@openclaw/whatsapp (npm) before 2026.8.1 exposes the WhatsApp login tool through the generic channel-tool path without preserving the originating sender's owner status, so the owner-only tool boundary is not enforced. An admitted non-owner sender able to steer the tool can request a forced login and receive a new QR code for a configured account, disconnecting the Gateway's WhatsApp account and causing loss of availability; full account relinking additionally requires the attacker to scan the returned QR code with another phone. The issue affects the owner-only tool boundary rather than WhatsApp transport authentication. Fixed in 2026.8.1.

  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.8.1 could send third-party provider credentials to the wrong endpoint.CVE-2026-100528 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.9

OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.8.1 could send third-party provider credentials to the wrong endpoint. In affected versions, when a third-party provider uses an OpenAI-compatible API and the resolved model metadata lacks a concrete base URL, a pinned session that continues after a model configuration hot reload retains that provider's credential while the OpenAI SDK selects its own default endpoint. A resulting request could disclose the configured third-party provider credential to an unrelated provider endpoint and fail with a misleading authentication error. Operators who observed this condition should rotate the affected credential. The issue is fixed in 2026.8.1.

  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw's Discord integration (npm package @openclaw/discord) before version 2026.9.3 could lose the sender-scoped media policy in the emoji and sticker uploadCVE-2026-100526 · Other software · openclaw · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6

OpenClaw's Discord integration (npm package @openclaw/discord) before version 2026.9.3 could lose the sender-scoped media policy in the emoji and sticker upload actions before loading a local file. A sender permitted to invoke those actions could cause OpenClaw to read a host path that the same sender's configured media roots would otherwise reject, placing bytes from an out-of-policy local file into an outbound emoji or sticker upload. Exploitation requires access to the guild asset action and knowledge or derivation of a useful local path; the issue does not permit unrestricted filesystem browsing or code execution. The issue is fixed in @openclaw/discord 2026.9.3.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_console: do not free control-out buffers on remove __send_control_msg() publishes &portdev->cpkt as the control-out virtqueue cookie. remove_vqs() walks every virtqueue and passes leftover cookies to free_buf(), which treats them as struct port_buffer and reads sgpages. KASAN reported slab-out-of-bounds in free_buf(): free_buf remove_vqs virtcons_remove unbind_store The object was the ports_device allocated in virtcons_probe(). Drain c_ovq without freeing. • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunvdc: unmap LDC cookies when the descriptor send fails __send_request() maps the requestCVE-2026-97952 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunvdc: unmap LDC cookies when the descriptor send fails __send_request() maps the request's pages into the LDC channel's map table (ldc_map_sg()), fills in the descriptor and marks it VIO_DESC_READY before ringing the doorbell via __vdc_tx_trigger(). When the trigger fails, the error path only prints a message: the descriptor stays READY and the cookies are never unmapped. The mapping is normally released in vdc_end_one() when the peer completes the descriptor - but a descriptor whose doorbell was never sent will never complete, and since dr->prod is not advanced on failure, the reset path (vdc_requeue_inflight(), which walks [cons, prod)) never visits it either. The map table entries are leaked permanently. Since commit a11f6ca9aef9 ("sunvdc: Do not spin in an infinite loop when vio_ldc_send() returns EAGAIN") trigger failures occur in practice under load, so every resulting I/O error also leaks one request's worth of entries from the fixed-size (8192 entries per channel) map table. Because the allocator hands out contiguous ranges, fragmentation makes large multi-segment requests fail first as the table drain

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject Write/Reply chunks with segcount 0 A peer can send a Write or Reply chunk whose segcount field is zero. xdr_check_write_chunk() only rejects segcount > rc_maxpages, so zero passes the range check, and xdr_inline_decode(stream, 0) returns the current (non-NULL) cursor without advancing. The function returns true and pcl_alloc_write() then links a struct svc_rdma_chunk with ch_segcount == 0 onto rc_write_pcl or rc_reply_pcl. An earlier patch in this series made pcl_for_each_segment() safe for ch_segcount == 0, so this no longer drives the memory walk it used to. Rejecting the malformed frame at the decode boundary is still worthwhile as defense in depth: it keeps degenerate zero-segment chunks off the parsed chunk lists entirely, so any future consumer that walks ch_segments directly cannot observe one, and it makes the zero-floor easy to backport to trees where the macro change is more intrusive. RFC 8166 has no meaning for a Write/Reply chunk that describes no remote buffer, so no legitimate client is affected. xdr_check_reply_chunk() funnels Reply chunks through xdr_check_write_chunk() and inhe

OpenC3 COSMOS provides the functionality needed to send commands to and receive data from one or more embedded systems. From 5.1.0 until 7.3.0, authenticated non-administrator users can write content under targets_modified/ that is later executed by multiple configuration paths below the intended code-execution privilege tier. Table and command or telemetry definitions are processed through ConfigParser, PacketConfig, GENERIC_READ_CONVERSION, or GENERIC_WRITE_CONVERSION, allowing ERB rendering or Ruby and Python evaluation, while openc3-cosmos-script-runner-api/scripts/run_suite_analysis.rb executes suite procedure files through require. Storage uploads, screen saves, and script creation can place content in the overlay, and triggering table processing, a cmd/tlm reload, or suite analysis executes the content in cmd-tlm-api, decom microservices, or Script Runner with access to internal credentials and data. • Sep 22, 2026Novu provides an API for sending notifications through multiple channels.CVE-2026-75517 · Other software · novuhq · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Novu provides an API for sending notifications through multiple channels. Prior to 3.18.0, Novu integration mutation use cases including remove-integration, update-integration, auto-configure-integration, and set-integration-as-primary look up an integration by integrationId and organizationId without consistently enforcing environmentId. A caller with access to one environment in an organization can target an integration identifier from another environment and delete the integration, modify its credentials, change the primary provider, or trigger auto-configuration. The repository advisory defines both environment API keys and dashboard sessions as affected. The 3.18.0 change enforces the environment boundary only for environment-scoped API-key authentication, while its tests intentionally retain cross-environment dashboard-session behavior, so it does not completely remediate the advisory-defined scope. Version 3.18.0 is a partial fix attempt, and the dashboard-session behavior requires curator resolution.

  • Sep 22, 2026Novu provides an API for sending notifications through multiple channels.CVE-2026-75511 · Other software · novuhq · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Novu provides an API for sending notifications through multiple channels. Prior to 3.18.0, Novu accepts chat webhook URLs from subscriber credentials.webhookUrl, channel endpoint endpoint.url, event payload.webhookUrl, and event overrides.webhookUrl, then passes the selected endpoint.url through send-message-chat.usecase.ts to raw HTTP requests in the Slack, Discord, Mattermost, Microsoft Teams, Grafana On-Call, Ryver, Rocket.Chat, GetStream, and Zulip providers. An authenticated user can supply an internal or otherwise restricted destination because these paths do not apply normalizeOutboundHttpUrl, assertSafeOutboundUrl, or the DNS-pinned safeOutboundJsonRequest protection used by the generic webhook providers. The Novu worker can consequently issue attacker-directed POST requests to internal network services and cause interactions or actions supported by those services. • Sep 22, 2026Inefficient algorithmic complexity in the Erlang/OTP asn1 OBJECT IDENTIFIER decoder allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause denial of service by sendiCVE-2026-65634 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.2

Inefficient algorithmic complexity in the Erlang/OTP asn1 OBJECT IDENTIFIER decoder allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause denial of service by sending a crafted OID during the TLS handshake. The BER OID decoder asn1rtt_ber:dec_subidentifiers/3 in lib/asn1/src/asn1rtt_ber.erl and the equivalent PER helper asn1rtt_per_common:dec_subidentifiers/3 in lib/asn1/src/asn1rtt_per_common.erl accumulate a base-128 subidentifier into an unbounded integer using (Av bsl 7) + H per continuation byte. Each shift and addition on the growing accumulator is linear in the number of bits already accumulated, giving quadratic total work in the size of a single subidentifier. The JER helper asn1rtt_jer:json2oid/1 in lib/asn1/src/asn1rtt_jer.erl exhibits the same class of unbounded-integer parsing when decoding a dot-separated OID from JSON. A DER-encoded OBJECT IDENTIFIER with one very large arc (approximately 262 KB of continuation bytes) consumes roughly 13 seconds of CPU on typical hardware. The vulnerable decoder is generated into every ASN.1 module that contains an OBJECT IDENTIFIER, including OTP-PUB-KEY which is reached during X.509 certificate parsing via public_key:pkix_decode_cert

Email::Sender::Transport::Sendmail versions before 2.602 for Perl allow arbitrary command execution on Windows sending a message whose envelope address reaches the shell in _sendmail_pipe. On MSWin32 the envelope sender and every recipient go into a single command string, which open() passes to a shell. Every other platform gets the list form, which runs sendmail directly. When the caller supplies no envelope, Email::Sender::Simple takes the recipients from the To and Cc headers and the sender from the From header. An attacker who controls one of those header addresses runs commands as the sending process.

net_icmpv6_send_error() in subsys/net/ip/icmpv6.c implemented only one of the three RFC 4443 section 2.4 suppression rules (do not answer an ICMPv6 error with an ICMPv6 error). It did not check whether the triggering packet's source address identifies a single node (rule e.6) or whether the packet was sent to a multicast destination (rule e.3, whose only exceptions are Packet Too Big and Parameter Problem Code 2). Of the five call sites, only the port-unreachable path in subsys/net/ip/connection.c carried an equivalent guard of its own; the extension-header, unknown-next-header and fragmentation paths in subsys/net/ip/ipv6.c and subsys/net/ip/ipv6_fragment.c had none. An unauthenticated attacker with access to the same link can exploit this in two ways. Sending a single IPv6 packet to the link-local all-nodes group ff02::1 carrying an unrecognized next-header value, with the source address spoofed to a chosen victim, causes every Zephyr node on the link to emit an ICMPv6 Parameter Problem message to that victim — a reflector with an amplification factor equal to the number of nodes. Alternatively, sending a unicast packet whose source address is a multicast address causes the node

The Newsletter – Send awesome emails from WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'nn' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 9.3.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Successful exploitation requires the victim to be a logged-in administrator, as the antibot check auto-passes for authenticated users, routing the unsanitized payload through the administrator-visible output branch of dienow().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/mbox: Clamp mailbox output allocation to the payload size CXL_MEM_SEND_COMMAND bounds the user's in.size to the mailbox payload size but leaves out.size unbounded, then cxl_mbox_cmd_ctor() calls kvzalloc(out.size). A large out.size drives a huge allocation, above INT_MAX it WARNs and taints, and with panic_on_warn=1 it panics. The transport __cxl_pci_mbox_send_cmd() already clamps the response copy to min(out.size, payload_size, device len), so the output buffer is never written beyond payload_size. Clamp the allocation to payload_size too, matching the RAW path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: virtio_bt: avoid OOB read of build info string The virtbt_setup_zephyr() sends the Zephyr vendor command 0xfc08 (Read Build Information) and hands the response to bt_dev_info() and hci_set_fw_info() as a "%s" string starting at skb->data + 1, without checking the length. A backend that answers with status only leaves that pointer past the end of the received data, so the walk reads adjacent slab memory until it meets a NUL. Those bytes reach the kernel log and the firmware-info debugfs file. To fix this, print the string with a bounded "%.*s" limited to skb->len - 1. A short or unterminated response then prints as much as arrived instead of failing setup. This mirrors commit dd068ef04412 ("Bluetooth: bpa10x: avoid OOB read of revision string in bpa10x_setup()"), which fixed the identical pattern.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: free the mesh send cancel command when it is cancelled mesh_send_cancel() queues the pending command with a NULL destroy callback, so it is only freed if send_cancel() runs. A cancelled entry is leaked, as _hci_cmd_sync_cancel_entry() does not release entry->data when there is no destroy callback, and hci_cmd_sync_clear() cancels every pending entry when the controller is unregistered. Nothing else reclaims it either: mgmt_pending_new() does not put the command on hdev->mgmt_pending. The leak also pins the socket reference taken by mgmt_pending_new(), so the mgmt socket is never released. Free the command from a destroy callback.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet: fix heap out-of-bounds read in nvmet_auth_negotiate() nvmet_execute_auth_send() allocates the DH-HMAC-CHAP message buffer with the host-supplied transfer length (tl) and hands it to nvmet_auth_negotiate() without passing tl along. nvmet_auth_negotiate() then reads the negotiate header and, for each of the halen hash identifiers and dhlen DH group identifiers, indexes into the fixed idlist[60] array (hashes at idlist[0..halen), groups at idlist[30..]). Neither the transfer length nor halen/dhlen is validated. A malicious or non-conformant host can report a tl smaller than the negotiate structure, or a halen/dhlen larger than the array (both are u8, up to 255), making the loops read past the end of the allocated buffer (heap out-of-bounds read). The sibling nvmet_auth_reply() already validates tl against the structure size; the negotiate path did not. Pass tl into nvmet_auth_negotiate(), reject a tl that does not cover the negotiate data plus one full protocol descriptor, and reject halen/dhlen larger than NVME_AUTH_DHCHAP_MAX_DH_IDS.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: pn533: hold a reference to the request skb during send_frame __pn533_send_async() publishes the command and then calls dev->phy_ops->send_frame(). Once dev->cmd is set, an incoming frame can be matched to this command: the I2C threaded IRQ runs pn533_recv_frame(), which queues cmd_complete_work, and pn533_send_async_complete() frees cmd->req with consume_skb(). On the I2C transport, pn533_i2c_send_frame() still dereferences the same skb after i2c_master_send() returns, so a completion that races the send can free the skb while the transport is still using it. The request skb is owned by the command object and may be freed by command completion at any time after dev->cmd is published, so the transport send path must not assume it stays alive. Hold a temporary reference to the request skb across the send_frame() call so the transport always sees a live skb even if completion races the send. Add a pn533_send_cmd_frame() helper and use it from all three send paths.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSv4.2: fix LAYOUTSTATS send buffer exhaustion encode_layoutstats_maxsz budgets XDR_QUADLEN(PNFS_LAYOUTSTATS_MAXSIZE), i.e. 256 bytes, for the layoutupdate4 body written by the layout driver. The flexfiles record can exceed that. ff_layout_encode_ff_layoutupdate() emits, per data server, a netaddr4, an nfs_fh4, two ff_io_latency4, an nfstime4 and a bool. A data server whose filehandle is NFS_MAXFHSIZE bytes long already accounts for 132 of those bytes, and the two ff_io_latency4 at 64 bytes each, the nfstime4 and the bool add a further 144, so the body passes 256 bytes before the netaddr4 is encoded at all. encode_layoutstats() additionally writes the deviceid4 and the layoutupdate4 lou_type word, neither of which the macro accounts for. The filehandle and the address are both chosen by the server, through LAYOUTGET and GETDEVICEINFO, so it can drive the encoder past the end of the send buffer. xdr_reserve_space() returns NULL once that happens, and the two ff_layout_encode_io_latency() calls run with dss_info->mirror->lock held, so a NULL return there leaves the lock permanently held. Raise PNFS_LAYOUTSTA

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Hold qpair lock when sending NVMe LS reject qla_nvme_ls_reject_iocb() allocates from and advances the request ring through __qla2x00_alloc_iocbs() (which assumes the hardware_lock is held) and qla2x00_start_iocbs() (which advances the ring and rings the request-in doorbell), but takes no lock itself. Two of its callers invoke it without the producer lock held: - qla_nvme_xmt_ls_rsp(), the NVMe-FC .xmt_ls_rsp transport callback, on its error path, and - qla2xxx_process_purls_pkt(), run from the purex work/DPC context. Both use ha->base_qpair, whose qp_lock_ptr is hardware_lock, so they can run concurrently with normal I/O submission on the base ring and corrupt the ring producer state, leading to duplicated or dropped commands. The third caller, qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb(), runs inside qla24xx_process_response_queue() with the qpair lock already held and is safe; that is also why the lock cannot be taken inside the helper itself (it would recursively re-acquire hardware_lock on the response path). Take qp_lock_ptr around the two unlocked callers and document the helper as caller-locked. Bo

An unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary fake log lines into Apache ZooKeeper's operational log by sending a crafted add_auth("ensemble", ...) request containing newline characters (\n). When the ensemble name doesn't match, EnsembleAuthenticationProvider.handleAuthentication() logs the raw, unsanitized name via LOG.warn(). Because SLF4J's {} placeholder preserves embedded newlines, the attacker can forge complete log entries — with arbitrary timestamps, log levels, class names, and messages — that are visually indistinguishable from genuine ZooKeeper log output. This issue affects Apache ZooKeeper: from 3.9.0 through 3.9.5, from 3.8.0 through 3.8.6. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.8.7 or 3.9.6, which fixes the issue.

  • Sep 16, 2026When audit logging is enabled (zookeeper.audit.enable=true), an unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary fields into Apache ZooKeeper's audit log by sendinCVE-2026-84439 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.3

When audit logging is enabled (zookeeper.audit.enable=true), an unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary fields into Apache ZooKeeper's audit log by sending a digest authentication request with tab characters (\t) embedded in the username. Because the audit log uses tab-separated key=value format, the injected tabs are parsed as legitimate field separators, allowing the attacker to spoof audit results (e.g., injecting result=success), forge operation types, and corrupt forensic evidence. A log injection vulnerability in Apache ZooKeeper allows a client that can call setACL to inject forged key-value fields into zookeeper_audit.log. When audit logging is enabled, the server serializes attacker-controlled digest ACL ids into the acl= audit field without escaping tab characters. Because audit events are emitted as tab-separated key=value records, a crafted ACL id can make one successful setAcl event appear to contain forged fields such as operation=delete and znode=/forged. This undermines the integrity of downstream audit parsing, alerting, and incident response. This issue affects Apache ZooKeeper: from 3.9.0 through 3.9.5, from 3.8.0 through 3.8.6.
