Jun 6, 2026MapPress Maps for: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled KeyCVE-2026-8839 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The MapPress Maps for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in all versions up to, and including, 2.96.6. This is due to missing ownership verification in the REST API routes registered via `Mappress_Api::rest_api_init()`, where the GET `/wp-json/mapp/v1/maps/{mapid}` endpoint uses `'permission_callback' => '__return_true'` and the write endpoints (POST update, DELETE, PATCH mutate, POST clone, POST empty_trash) only check the generic `edit_posts` capability without confirming that the requester owns the targeted map — a gap that is not compensated at the model layer, as `Mappress_Map::get()`, `save()`, `delete()`, `mutate()`, and `empty_trash()` all operate on any caller-supplied map ID without an ownership check. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read sensitive map data — including POI titles, addresses, coordinates, and body content — for any map on the site by enumerating map IDs, and for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to modify, delete, trash/restore, or clone any map regardless of its author.

May 28, 2026FOX – Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled KeyCVE-2026-9241 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The FOX – Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in all versions up to and including 1.4.6. This is due to the `get_value()` function in `classes/fixed/fixed_user_role.php` trusting the attacker-controlled `$_REQUEST['wooc_order_user_roles']` parameter to determine the user's role context for role-based price resolution without any validation, allowing it to override the legitimate role data derived from the authenticated user's session object via `$user->roles`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to impersonate higher-privileged roles — such as wholesale customer or administrator — and obtain discounted or otherwise restricted pricing that should not be available to their actual role. This vulnerability only has practical impact when the fixed user-role pricing feature is enabled and at least one product has a privileged-role price configured.

May 27, 2026Easy Prism Syntax Highlighter: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-8875 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Easy Prism Syntax Highlighter plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'code' (and 'c') shortcode in versions up to, and including, 1.0.2. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied shortcode attributes in the shortcode() function, which concatenates the first positional attribute directly into the class attribute of the generated <pre>/<code> HTML without calling esc_attr() or any other escaping function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

May 19, 2026Child Height Predictor by Ostheimer: Cross-Site Request ForgeryCVE-2026-6400 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Child Height Predictor by Ostheimer plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to and including 1.3. This is due to missing nonce verification in the options() function, which handles plugin settings updates. The form template does not include a wp_nonce_field() call, and the handler never calls check_admin_referer() or wp_verify_nonce(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to trick a site administrator into clicking a link or visiting a malicious page that submits a forged POST request, causing unauthorized changes to the plugin settings such as unit preferences to be persisted to the database via update_option().

May 19, 2026Oliver POS – A WooCommerce Point of Sale (POS): Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled KeyCVE-2026-6072 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The Oliver POS – A WooCommerce Point of Sale (POS) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in all versions up to and including 2.4.2.6. The plugin protects its entire /wp-json/pos-bridge/* REST API namespace through the oliver_pos_rest_authentication() permission callback, which uses a loose PHP comparison (==) to compare the attacker-supplied 'OliverAuth' header value against the 'oliver_pos_authorization_token' option. On fresh installations where the admin has not yet completed the connection flow, this option is unset (get_option returns false). Due to PHP's type juggling, the loose comparison '0' == false evaluates to true, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to bypass authentication by sending 'OliverAuth: 0'. This grants full access to all POS API endpoints, enabling attackers to read user data (including administrator details), update user profiles (including email addresses), and delete non-admin users. An admin account email reset can lead to site takeover.

The Fluent Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.21. This is due to the SubmissionPolicy class authorizing submission-level actions (read, modify, delete, add notes) based on a user-supplied `form_id` query parameter. May 14, 2026LearnPress – WordPress LMS Plugin for Create and Sell Online Courses: Payment bypass through user-controlled keyCVE-2026-7648 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The LearnPress – WordPress LMS Plugin for Create and Sell Online Courses plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to payment bypass through user-controlled key in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.5. This is due to improper handling of user-supplied request parameters in the REST API endpoint, which passes the unsanitized parameter array to the add_to_cart() function where array_merge() allows attacker-controlled values to overwrite hardcoded defaults. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to enroll in any paid course entirely free of charge by supplying a quantity value of zero, which causes the order total to calculate as $0 and bypasses all payment gateway requirements.

May 3, 2026During the analysis, it was identified that authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher are able to perform an Insecure Direct Object ReferenCVE-2026-5337 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 6.5
During the analysis, it was identified that authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher are able to perform an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) attack. This vulnerability exists because the Frontend File Manager Plugin WordPress plugin through 23.6 does not properly validate user authorization for the requested uploaded file when processing download requests. By modifying the value of the 'file_id' parameter in the download endpoint (e.g., http://localhost/?do=wpfm_download&file_id=40&nm_file_nonce=a36fb893f1), an attacker can access files belonging to other users, including privileged users such as administrators. Apr 8, 2026Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler: Authorization bypass through user-controlled keyCVE-2026-4330 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass through user-controlled key in all versions up to, and including, 8.8.3. This is due to the plugin's AJAX handlers failing to validate that the user-supplied 'b2s_id' parameter belongs to the current user before performing UPDATE and DELETE operations. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to modify, reschedule, or delete other users' scheduled social media posts.

- What to do

Apr 8, 2026Masteriyo LMS – Online Course Builder for eLearning, LMS & Education: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled KeyCVE-2026-5167 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Masteriyo LMS – Online Course Builder for eLearning, LMS & Education plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in versions up to and including 2.1.7. This is due to insufficient webhook signature verification in the handle_webhook() function. The webhook endpoint processes unauthenticated requests and only performs signature verification if both the webhook_secret setting is configured AND the HTTP_STRIPE_SIGNATURE header is present. Since webhook_secret defaults to an empty string, the webhook processes attacker-controlled JSON payloads without any verification. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to send fake Stripe webhook events with arbitrary order_id values in the metadata, mark any order as completed without payment, and gain unauthorized access to paid course content.

Apr 8, 2026LTL Freight Quotes – R+L Carriers Edition: Missing AuthorizationCVE-2026-3646 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The LTL Freight Quotes – R+L Carriers Edition plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization via the plugin's webhook handler in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.13. This is due to missing authentication, authorization, and nonce verification on a standalone PHP file that directly processes GET parameters and updates WordPress options. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the plugin's subscription plan settings, effectively downgrading the store from a paid plan to the Trial Plan, changing the store type, and manipulating subscription expiration dates, potentially disabling premium features such as Dropship and Hazardous Material handling.

The LightPress Lightbox plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the `group` attribute in the `[gallery]` shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.3.4. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Mar 21, 2026Multi Functional Flexi Lightbox: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-3347 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.5
The Multi Functional Flexi Lightbox plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the `arv_lb[message]` parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This is due to the `arv_lb_options_val()` sanitize callback returning user input without any sanitization, and the stored `message` value being output in the `genLB()` function without escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Administrator-level access, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses a page or post with the lightbox enabled.

Mar 21, 2026App Builder – Create Native Android & iOS Apps On The Flight: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-2375 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The App Builder – Create Native Android & iOS Apps On The Flight plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 5.5.10. This is due to the `verify_role()` function in `AuthTrails.php` explicitly whitelisting the `wcfm_vendor` role alongside `subscriber` and `customer`, and assigning it directly via `wp_insert_user()` without integrating with WCFM Marketplace's vendor approval workflow. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register an account with the `wcfm_vendor` role by supplying the `role` parameter in the `/wp-json/app-builder/v1/register` REST API endpoint, bypassing the standard WCFM vendor approval process and immediately gaining vendor-level privileges (product management, order access, store management) on sites where WCFM Marketplace is active.
