In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NTB: epf: Avoid calling pci_irq_vector() from hardirq context ntb_epf_vec_isr() calls pci_irq_vector() in hardirq context to derive the vector number. pci_irq_vector() calls msi_get_virq() that takes a mutex and can therefore trigger "scheduling while atomic" splats: BUG: scheduling while atomic: kworker/u33:0/55/0x00010001 ... Cache the Linux IRQ number for vector 0 when vectors are allocated and use it as a base in the ISR. Running the ISR in a threaded IRQ handler would also avoid the problem, but that would be unnecessary here.

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: avoid NULL deref of conn in iso_conn_big_sync() iso_conn_big_sync() drops CVE-2026-64404 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: avoid NULL deref of conn in iso_conn_big_sync() iso_conn_big_sync() drops the socket lock to call hci_get_route() and then re-acquires it, but dereferences iso_pi(sk)->conn->hcon afterwards without re-checking that conn is still valid. While the lock is dropped, the connection can be torn down under the same socket lock: iso_disconn_cfm() -> iso_conn_del() -> iso_chan_del() sets iso_pi(sk)->conn to NULL (and the broadcast teardown path can also clear conn->hcon on its own). When iso_conn_big_sync() re-acquires the lock and reads conn->hcon, conn may be NULL, causing a NULL pointer dereference (hcon is the first member of struct iso_conn). This path is reached from iso_sock_recvmsg() for a PA-sync broadcast sink socket (BT_SK_DEFER_SETUP | BT_SK_PA_SYNC), so the dropped-lock window can race with connection teardown driven by controller events. Re-validate iso_pi(sk)->conn and its hcon after re-acquiring the socket lock and bail out if the connection went away, as already done in the sibling iso_sock_rebind_bc().

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Avoid dereferencing NULL VNCR pseudo-TLB VNCR TLB invalidation occurs fromCVE-2026-64288 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Avoid dereferencing NULL VNCR pseudo-TLB VNCR TLB invalidation occurs from MMU notifiers or TLBI instructions, and either can race against a vcpu not being onlined yet (no pseudo-TLB allocated). Similarly, the TLB might be invalid, and the invalidation should be skipped in this case. Both kvm_invalidate_vncr_ipa() and kvm_invalidate_vncr_va() are expected to perform the same checks, except that the latter doesn't check for the allocation and blindly dereferences the pointer. Solve this by introducing a new iterator built on top of the usual kvm_for_each_vcpu() that checks for both of the above conditions, and convert the two users to it.

Jul 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: avoid 32-bit prune notification count wrap FUSE_NOTIFY_PRUNE validates the nodeid paCVE-2026-64267 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: avoid 32-bit prune notification count wrap FUSE_NOTIFY_PRUNE validates the nodeid payload length with: size - sizeof(outarg) != outarg.count * sizeof(u64) On 32-bit kernels, size_t is also 32 bits, so the daemon-controlled count multiplication can wrap. A prune notification with count 0x20000000 and no nodeid payload passes the check, enters the copy loop, and asks the device copy path to read nodeids that are not present in the userspace write buffer. In QEMU this reaches the fuse_copy_fill() BUG_ON(!err) path. Validate the payload length with array_size() instead. That accepts exactly the same valid messages, but avoids wrapping arithmetic before the copy loop consumes the count.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse-uring: Avoid use-after-free in fuse_uring_async_stop_queues fuse_uring_async_stop_queues() might run when the last reference on ring->queue_refs was already dropped. In order to avoid an early destruction a reference on struct fuse_conn is now taken before starting fuse_uring_async_stop_queues() and that reference is only released when that delayed work queue terminates.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse-uring: Avoid queue->stopped races and set/read that value under lock There are several readers of queue->stopped that check the value under lock, but fuse_uring_commit_fetch() did not and actually the value was not set under the lock in fuse_uring_abort_end_requests() either. Especially in fuse_uring_commit_fetch it is important to check under a lock, because due to races 'struct fuse_req' might be freed with fuse_request_end, but another thread/cpu might already do teardown work.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ethtool: phy: avoid NULL deref when PHY driver is unbound phydev->drv can become NULL while the phy_device is still attached to its net_device, namely after the PHY driver is unbound via sysfs: echo <mdio_id> > /sys/bus/mdio_bus/drivers/<phy_drv>/unbind phy_remove() clears phydev->drv but doesn't call phy_detach(), so the phy_device stays in the link topology xarray and ethnl_req_get_phydev() still hands it back. ETHTOOL_MSG_PHY_GET then oopses on: rep_data->drvname = kstrdup(phydev->drv->name, GFP_KERNEL); drvname is already treated as optional by phy_reply_size(), phy_fill_reply() and phy_cleanup_data(), so just skip the allocation when there is no driver bound.

Jul 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: avoid double free of pool->stack on AQ init failure otx2_pool_aq_init() freeCVE-2026-64222 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: avoid double free of pool->stack on AQ init failure otx2_pool_aq_init() frees pool->stack when mailbox sync or retry allocation fails, but leaves the pointer unchanged. Later, otx2_sq_aura_pool_init() unwinds the partial setup through otx2_aura_pool_free(), which frees pool->stack again. The CN20K-specific cn20k_pool_aq_init() implementation has the same bug in its corresponding error path. Set pool->stack to NULL immediately after the local free so the shared cleanup path does not free the same stack again while cleaning up partially initialized pool state. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime validation was not performed because reproducing this path requires OcteonTX2/CN20K hardware.

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: avoid double decrement of bla.num_requests The bla.num_requests is increaCVE-2026-64095 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: bla: avoid double decrement of bla.num_requests The bla.num_requests is increased when no request_sent was in progress. And it is decremented in various places (announcement was received, backbone is purged, periodic work). But the check if the request_sent is actually set to a specific state and the atomic_dec/_inc are not safe because they are not atomic (TOCTOU) and multiple such code portions can run concurrently. At the same time, it is necessary to modify request_sent (state) and bla.num_requests atomically. Otherwise batadv_bla_send_request() might set request_sent to 1 and is interrupted. batadv_handle_announce() can then set request_sent back to 0 and decrement num_requests before batadv_bla_send_request() incremented it. The two operations must therefore be locked. And since state (request_sent) and wait_periods are only accessed inside this lock, they can be converted to simpler datatypes. And to avoid that the bla.num_requests is touched by a parallel running context with a valid backbone_gw reference after batadv_bla_purge_backbone_gw() ran, a third state "stopped" is required to corre

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix streaming write being overwritten In order to avoid reading whilst writing, netCVE-2026-64063 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix streaming write being overwritten In order to avoid reading whilst writing, netfslib will allow "streaming writes" in which dirty data is stored directly into folios without reading them first. Such folios are marked dirty but may not be marked uptodate. If a folio is entirely written by a streaming write, uptodate will be set, otherwise it will have a netfs_folio struct attached to ->private recording the dirty region. In the event that a partially written streaming write page is to be overwritten entirely by a single write(), netfs_perform_write() will try to copy over it, but doesn't discard the netfs_folio if it succeeds; further, it doesn't correctly handle a partial copy that overwrites some of the dirty data. Fix this by the following: (1) If the folio is successfully overwritten, free the netfs_folio struct before marking the page uptodate. (2) If the copy to the folio partially fails, but short of the dirty data, just ignore the copy. (3) If the copy partially fails and overwrites some of the dirty data, accept the copy, update the netfs_folio struct to record the new d

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Avoid NULL return from hist_field_name() on truncation hist_field_name() returns "" everywhere except the fully-qualified VAR_REF/EXPR case, where snprintf() truncation returns NULL early and bypasses the bottom NULL->"" guard. Callers don't expect NULL: strcat(expr, hist_field_name(field, 0)) at trace_events_hist.c:1758 and the strcmp() in the sort-key match loop at :4804 both deref it. system and event_name are bounded by MAX_EVENT_NAME_LEN, but the field name on a VAR_REF is kstrdup'd from a histogram variable name parsed out of the trigger string and has no length cap, so a long enough var name in a fully qualified reference can reach the truncation path. Keep the length check but leave field_name as "" on overflow.

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: avoid divide-by-zero for dec_cwnd The cwnd is always MSS <= cwnd <= CVE-2026-63836 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: avoid divide-by-zero for dec_cwnd The cwnd is always MSS <= cwnd <= 0x20000000. But the calculation in batadv_tp_update_cwnd() assumes unsigned 32 bit arithmetics. ((mss * 8) ** 2) / (cwnd * 8) In case cwnd is actually 0x20000000, it will be shifted by 3 bit to the left end up at 0x100000000 or U32_MAX + 1. It will therefore wrap around and be 0 - resulting in: ((mss * 8) ** 2) / 0 This is of course invalid and cannot be calculated. The calculation should must be simplified to avoid this overflow: (mss ** 2) * 8 / cwnd It will keep the precision enhancement from the scaling (by 8) but avoid the overflow in the divisor. In theory, there could still be an overflow in the dividend. It is at the moment fixed to BATADV_TP_PLEN in batadv_tp_recv_ack() - so it is not an imminent problem. But allowing it to use the whole u32 bit range, would mean that it can still use up to 67 bits. To keep this calculation safe for 32 bit arithmetic, mss must never use more than floor((32 - 3) / 2) bits - or in other words: must never be larger than 16383.

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p: avoid putting oldfid in p9_client_walk() error path When p9_client_walk() is called wiCVE-2026-63795 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 10
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p: avoid putting oldfid in p9_client_walk() error path When p9_client_walk() is called with clone set to false, fid aliases oldfid. If the walk subsequently fails after the request has been sent, the error path jumps to clunk_fid, which currently calls p9_fid_put(fid) unconditionally. This drops a reference to oldfid even though ownership of oldfid remains with the caller. If this is the last reference, oldfid can be clunked and destroyed while the caller still expects it to be valid. A later use or put of oldfid can then trigger a use-after-free or refcount underflow. Fix this by only putting fid in the clunk_fid error path when it does not alias oldfid, matching the existing guard in the error path below. This can be triggered when a multi-component walk is split into multiple p9_client_walk() calls and a later non-cloning walk fails. A reproducer and refcount warning logs are available on request.

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: avoid leaking pre-allocated openowner on unconfirmed retry race When find_or_alloc_oCVE-2026-53394 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: avoid leaking pre-allocated openowner on unconfirmed retry race When find_or_alloc_open_stateowner() encounters an unconfirmed owner, it calls release_openowner() and sets oo = NULL. Control then falls through past the `if (oo)` guard -- which would have freed any pre-allocated `new` -- and unconditionally executes `new = alloc_stateowner(...)`. If `new` was already allocated on a prior iteration, the pointer is silently overwritten and the previous allocation (slab object + owner name buffer) is leaked. This requires a race: two NFSv4.0 OPEN threads with the same owner string, where a concurrent thread inserts a new unconfirmed owner into the hash between retry iterations. The window is narrow but repeatable under adversarial conditions. Fix by adding `goto retry` after `oo = NULL` so the already-allocated `new` is reused on the next iteration rather than overwritten.

Jul 17, 2026Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps.CVE-2026-55518 · Other software · avo-hq · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6
Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps. Prior to 3.32.1 and 4.0.0.beta.51, Avo's association attach workflow checks attach_<association>? in the UI and GET /resources/:resource/:id/:related/new path, but the actual write endpoint, POST /resources/:resource/:id/:related, does not run the same authorization check before mutating the association through Avo::AssociationsController#create. An authenticated low-privileged Avo user can bypass hidden or disabled attach controls and directly attach related records to a parent record by sending a crafted POST request, which can lead to privilege escalation and cross-tenant data exposure where associations represent authorization-bearing relationships. This issue is fixed in versions 3.32.1 and 4.0.0.beta.51.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slimbus: qcom-ngd-ctrl: Avoid ABBA on tx_lock/ctrl->lock During the SSR/PDR down notification the tx_lock is taken with the intent to provide synchronization with active DMA transfers. But during this period qcom_slim_ngd_down() is invoked, which ends up in slim_report_absent(), which takes the slim_controller lock. In multiple other codepaths these two locks are taken in the opposite order (i.e. slim_controller then tx_lock). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Avoid NULL dereference in dc_dmub_srv error paths In dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data() and dc_dmub_srv_enable_dpia_trace(). Both functions check: if (!dc_dmub_srv || !dc_dmub_srv->dmub) and then call DC_LOG_ERROR() inside that block. DC_LOG_ERROR() uses dc_dmub_srv->ctx internally. So if dc_dmub_srv is NULL, the logging itself can dereference a NULL pointer and cause a crash. Fix this by splitting the checks. First check if dc_dmub_srv is NULL and return immediately. Then check dc_dmub_srv->dmub and log the error only when dc_dmub_srv is valid. Fixes the below: ../display/dc/dc_dmub_srv.c:962 dc_dmub_srv_log_diagnostic_data() error: we previously assumed 'dc_dmub_srv' could be null (see line 961) ../display/dc/dc_dmub_srv.c:1167 dc_dmub_srv_enable_dpia_trace() error: we previously assumed 'dc_dmub_srv' could be null (see line 1166)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Avoid NULL pointer dereference or refcount corruption Commit 60f030f7418d ("iommu/vt-d: Avoid use of NULL after WARN_ON_ONCE") fixed a NULL pointer dereference in an unlikely situation partly. If dev_pasid is not found in the dev_pasids list, it remains NULL. However, the teardown operations are executed unconditionally, this lead to a NULL pointer dereference or refcount corruption. If the domain was never attached to this IOMMU, info will be NULL, which would cause an immediate dereference when checking --info->refcnt. Even if info is not NULL, decrementing the refcount without having removed a valid PASID might unbalance the count. This could lead to premature dropping of the refcount to 0, potentially causing a use-after-free for the remaining active devices sharing the domain. Fix it by returning early if dev_pasid is NULL, before executing the teardown operations. Issue found by AI review and suggested by Kevin Tian. https://sashiko.dev/#/patchset/20260421031347.1408890-1-zhenzhong.duan%40intel.com

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: avoid leaking percpu counter pointers The native and compat get-entries paths copy the fixed rule entry header from the kernelized rule blob to userspace before overwriting the entry's counter fields with a sanitized counter snapshot. On SMP kernels, entry->counters.pcnt contains the percpu allocation address used by x_tables rule counters. A caller can provide a userspace buffer that faults during the initial fixed-header copy after pcnt has been copied but before the later sanitized counter copy runs. The syscall then returns -EFAULT while leaving the raw percpu pointer in userspace. Copy only the fixed entry prefix before counters from the kernelized rule blob, then copy the sanitized counter snapshot into the counter field. Apply this ordering to the IPv4, IPv6, and ARP native and compat get-entries implementations so a fault cannot expose the internal percpu counter pointer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iomap: avoid potential null folio->mapping deref during error reporting When a buffered read fails, iomap_finish_folio_read() reports the error with fserror_report_io(folio->mapping->host, ...). This is called after ifs->read_bytes_pending has been decremented by the bytes attempted to be read. For a folio split across multiple read completions, the folio is only guaranteed to stay locked while read_bytes_pending > 0. Once iomap_finish_folio_read() decrements read_bytes_pending, another in-flight read can complete and end the read on the folio, which unlocks it. This allows truncate logic to run and detach the folio (set folio->mapping to NULL). The error reporting path then can dereference a NULL folio->mapping. As reported by Sam Sun, this is the race that can occur: CPU0: failed completion CPU1: final completion CPU2: truncate ----------------------- ---------------------- -------------- read_bytes_pending -= len finished = false /* preempted before fserror_report_io() */ read_bytes_pending -= len finished = true folio_end_read() truncate clears foli

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fwctl: Fix class init ordering to avoid NULL pointer dereference on device removal CXL is linked before fwctl in drivers/Makefile. Both use `module_init, so `cxl_pci_driver_init()` runs first. When `cxl_pci_probe()` calls `fwctl_register()` and then `device_add()`, fwctl_class is not yet registered because fwctl_init() hasn't run, causing `class_to_subsys()` to return NULL and skip knode_class initialization. On device removal, `class_to_subsys()` returns non-NULL, and `device_del()` calls `klist_del()` on the uninitialized knode, triggering a NULL pointer dereference.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: avoid double drm_exec_fini() in userq validate When new_addition is true, amdgpu_userq_vm_validate() calls drm_exec_fini(&exec) before iterating over the collected HMM ranges and calling amdgpu_ttm_tt_get_user_pages(). If amdgpu_ttm_tt_get_user_pages() fails in that path, the code jumps to unlock_all and calls drm_exec_fini(&exec) a second time on the same exec object. drm_exec_fini() is not idempotent: it frees exec->objects and may also drop exec->contended and finalize the ww acquire context. Route that error path directly to the range cleanup once exec has already been finalized. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool and confirmed by code review. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lib: test_hmm: evict device pages on file close to avoid use-after-free Patch series "Minor hmm_test fixes and cleanups". Two bugfixes a cleanup for the HMM kernel selftests. These were mostly reported by Zenghui Yu with special thanks to Lorenzo for analysing and pointing out the problems. This patch (of 3): When dmirror_fops_release() is called it frees the dmirror struct but doesn't migrate device private pages back to system memory first. This leaves those pages with a dangling zone_device_data pointer to the freed dmirror. If a subsequent fault occurs on those pages (eg. during coredump) the dmirror_devmem_fault() callback dereferences the stale pointer causing a kernel panic. This was reported [1] when running mm/ksft_hmm.sh on arm64, where a test failure triggered SIGABRT and the resulting coredump walked the VMAs faulting in the stale device private pages. Fix this by calling dmirror_device_evict_chunk() for each devmem chunk in dmirror_fops_release() to migrate all device private pages back to system memory before freeing the dmirror struct. The function is moved earlier in the file to avoid a

The full struct is then handed to userspace via: nla_put(skb, IFLA_VF_BROADCAST, sizeof(vf_broadcast), &vf_broadcast) leaking up to 26 bytes of uninitialised kernel stack per VF per RTM_GETLINK request, repeatable. The other vf_* structs in the same function are explicitly zeroed for exactly this reason - see the memset() calls for ivi, vf_vlan_info, node_guid and port_guid a few lines above. vf_broadca

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: split transactions in dio completion to avoid credit exhaustion During ocfs2 dio operations, JBD2 may report warnings via following call trace: ocfs2_dio_end_io_write ocfs2_mark_extent_written ocfs2_change_extent_flag ocfs2_split_extent ocfs2_try_to_merge_extent ocfs2_extend_rotate_transaction ocfs2_extend_trans jbd2__journal_restart start_this_handle output: JBD2: kworker/6:2 wants too many credits credits:5450 rsv_credits:0 max:5449 To prevent exceeding the credits limit, modify ocfs2_dio_end_io_write() to handle extents in a batch of transaction. Additionally, relocate ocfs2_del_inode_from_orphan(). The orphan inode should only be removed from the orphan list after the extent tree update is complete. This ensures that if a crash occurs in the middle of extent tree updates, we won't leave stale blocks beyond EOF. This patch also changes the logic for updating the inode size and removing orphan, making it similar to ext4_dio_write_end_io(). Both operations are performed only when everything looks good. Finally, thanks to Jans and Joseph for providing the

May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nSVM: Avoid clearing VMCB_LBR in vmcb12 svm_copy_lbrs() always marks VMCB_LBR dirty iCVE-2026-46071 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: nSVM: Avoid clearing VMCB_LBR in vmcb12 svm_copy_lbrs() always marks VMCB_LBR dirty in the destination VMCB. However, nested_svm_vmexit() uses it to copy LBRs to vmcb12, and clearing clean bits in vmcb12 is not architecturally defined. Move vmcb_mark_dirty() to callers and drop it for vmcb12. This also facilitates incoming refactoring that does not pass the entire VMCB to svm_copy_lbrs().

May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: avoid early lgr access in smc_clc_wait_msg A CLC decline can be received while thCVE-2026-46027 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: avoid early lgr access in smc_clc_wait_msg A CLC decline can be received while the handshake is still in an early stage, before the connection has been associated with a link group. The decline handling in smc_clc_wait_msg() updates link-group level sync state for first-contact declines, but that state only exists after link group setup has completed. Guard the link-group update accordingly and keep the per-socket peer diagnosis handling unchanged. This preserves the existing sync_err handling for established link-group contexts and avoids touching link-group state before it is available.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (powerz) Avoid cacheline sharing for DMA buffer Depending on the architecture the transfer buffer may share a cacheline with the following mutex. As the buffer may be used for DMA, that is problematic. Use the high-level DMA helpers to make sure that cacheline sharing can not happen. Also drop the comment, as the helpers are documentation enough. https://sashiko.dev/#/message/20260408175814.934BFC19421%40smtp.kernel.org

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: greybus: lights: avoid NULL deref gb_lights_light_config() stores channel_count before allocating the channels array. If kcalloc() fails, gb_lights_release() iterates the non-zero count and dereferences light->channels, which is NULL. Allocate channels first and only then publish channels_count so the cleanup path can't walk a NULL pointer.

May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exynos: vidi: fix to avoid directly dereferencing user pointer In vidi_connection_ioctCVE-2026-45958 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exynos: vidi: fix to avoid directly dereferencing user pointer In vidi_connection_ioctl(), vidi->edid(user pointer) is directly dereferenced in the kernel. This allows arbitrary kernel memory access from the user space, so instead of directly accessing the user pointer in the kernel, we should modify it to copy edid to kernel memory using copy_from_user() and use it.

May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fat: avoid parent link count underflow in rmdir Corrupted FAT images can leave a directoryCVE-2026-45915 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fat: avoid parent link count underflow in rmdir Corrupted FAT images can leave a directory inode with an incorrect i_nlink (e.g. 2 even though subdirectories exist). rmdir then unconditionally calls drop_nlink(dir) and can drive i_nlink to 0, triggering the WARN_ON in drop_nlink(). Add a sanity check in vfat_rmdir() and msdos_rmdir(): only drop the parent link count when it is at least 3, otherwise report a filesystem error.

May 27, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: avoid per-cpu hold underflow in aa_get_buffer When aa_get_buffer() pulls from thCVE-2026-45884 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: avoid per-cpu hold underflow in aa_get_buffer When aa_get_buffer() pulls from the per-cpu list it unconditionally decrements cache->hold. If hold reaches 0 while count is still non-zero, the unsigned decrement wraps to UINT_MAX. This keeps hold non-zero for a very long time, so aa_put_buffer() never returns buffers to the global list, which can starve other CPUs and force repeated kmalloc(aa_g_path_max) allocations. Guard the decrement so hold never underflows.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
