Aug 27, 2026A logic vulnerability (fail-open condition) has been identified within the Metasploit Framework's JSON-RPC web service interface.CVE-2026-16895 · Other software · Rapid7 · reported by cve@rapid7.comMedium 5.1
A logic vulnerability (fail-open condition) has been identified within the Metasploit Framework's JSON-RPC web service interface. When an exception occurs during the database health check (db.check) and the environment variable MSF_WS_JSON_RPC_API_TOKEN is not explicitly set, the application resets the internal state flag msf.auth_initialized to false. The ApiToken Warden authentication strategy misinterprets this false value as an indicator that authentication is not initialized or required, thereby granting unauthenticated local access to the JSON-RPC request dispatcher.

On Linux, several OpenZFS ioctl authorization checks accept a capability held only within a user-created, unprivileged namespace as equivalent to real host privilege, allowing an unprivileged local user to perform operations that should require root. Affected operations include pool-administrative operations (eg create, import, destroy), pool event log access (zpool events) and fault injection (zinject). Exploiting the problem requires only that the local user is permitted to open /dev/zfs (governed by local device permissions) and that the kernel permits unprivileged user namespace creation. No prior access to the target pool or its underlying devices is needed.

Aug 26, 2026The vulnerability allows the unauthorised generation of physical access QR codes due to the use of hard-coded credentials within the application.CVE-2026-12587 · Other software · Resamania · reported by cve-coordination@incibe.esHigh 8.6
The vulnerability allows the unauthorised generation of physical access QR codes due to the use of hard-coded credentials within the application. The generation mechanism uses the 'badge_number' parameter as the HMAC private key, the value of which remains static and is accessible via the API using the endpoint '/club/_id_club_/member/_id_member_/resamania_qr_info'. An attacker with access to this value and to the application’s cryptographic logic, which can be extracted by reverse engineering the APK as there is no code obfuscation, could generate valid QR codes indefinitely, even after the user has changed their password or logged out.

Aug 20, 2026CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments.CVE-2026-55769 · Other software · cloudnative-pg · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4
CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments. Prior to 1.28.4 and 1.29.2, CloudNativePG opened superuser connections without pinning search_path in fillDefaultParameters in pkg/management/postgres/pool/profiles.go. A role holding DATABASE OWNER could create overloaded built-in operators in the public schema and change the database or role search_path, causing instance-manager introspection queries such as SELECT COUNT(*) > 0 FROM pg_catalog.pg_extension WHERE extname = $1 to execute attacker-controlled functions as the postgres superuser. The same trust issue affected direct sql.Open("pgx", ...) callsites and the public.user_search SECURITY DEFINER function, enabling PostgreSQL superuser access, operating system command execution through COPY ... Prior to 2.63.17, the Link storage struct is serialized directly by sharePostHandler, shareListHandler, and shareGetsHandler through renderJSON, causing POST /api/share/{path} and GET /api/shares to expose password_hash and the bypass token, while an administrator can retrieve these secrets for every user's shares, enabling offline password cracking and direct access to protected shares. This issue is fixed in version 2.63.17.

Grav before 2.0.15 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the static asset server within index.php that uses string prefix matching instead of directory-boundary validation. Unauthenticated attackers can access files in sibling directories by exploiting directory names that extend the base path string, such as requesting assets-secret when assets is the configured base.

Aug 17, 2026A flaw was found in the maas-api and maas-controller ServiceAccounts within Red Hat OpenShift AI.CVE-2026-15218 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.9
A flaw was found in the maas-api and maas-controller ServiceAccounts within Red Hat OpenShift AI. These ServiceAccounts are granted cluster-wide permissions that exceed their operational requirements. An attacker who compromises the identity of these ServiceAccounts, either through a remote code execution vulnerability or by creating a malicious pod in the same namespace, could exploit these excessive permissions. This could lead to full cluster administrator privileges through the creation of new ClusterRoleBindings or the disclosure of sensitive information by accessing all secrets across the cluster.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: sh: rz-dmac: Move interrupt request after everything is set up Once the interrupt is requested, the interrupt handler may run immediately. Since the IRQ handler can access channel->ch_base, which is initialized only after requesting the IRQ, this may lead to invalid memory access. Likewise, the IRQ thread may access uninitialized data (the ld_free, ld_queue, and ld_active lists), which may also lead to issues. Request the interrupts only after everything is set up. To keep the error path simpler, use dmam_alloc_coherent() instead of dma_alloc_coherent().

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: fix CAN frame rx/tx statistics KCSAN detected a data race within the bcm_rx_handCVE-2026-72118 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: bcm: fix CAN frame rx/tx statistics KCSAN detected a data race within the bcm_rx_handler() when two CAN frames have been simultaneously received and processed in a single rx op by two different CPUs. Use atomic operations with (signed) long data types to access the statistics in the hot path to fix the KCSAN complaint. Additionally simplify the update and check of statistics overflow by using the atomic operations in separate bcm_update_[rx|tx]_stats() functions. The rx variant runs under bcm_rx_update_lock to prevent races when resetting the two rx counters; the tx variant runs under bcm_tx_lock and only needs to guard its own counter's overflow. As the rx path resets its values already at LONG_MAX / 100, there is no conflict between the two locking domains (bcm_rx_update_lock vs. bcm_tx_lock) even for ops that use both paths. The rx statistics update and the frames_filtered update in bcm_rx_changed() were previously performed in two separate bcm_rx_update_lock sections. For an rx op subscribed on all interfaces (ifindex == 0), bcm_rx_handler() can run concurrently on different CPUs, so a counter reset

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm thin metadata: fix metadata snapshot consistency on commit failure __reserve_metadata_sCVE-2026-72108 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm thin metadata: fix metadata snapshot consistency on commit failure __reserve_metadata_snap() and __release_metadata_snap() modify the superblock's held_root directly in the block_manager's buffer. If the subsequent metadata commit fails, the held_root gets flushed to disk through the abort_transaction path, resulting in inconsistent metadata. Reproducer 1: __reserve_metadata_snap() 1. Create a 2 MiB metadata device and make the region after the 14th block inaccessible, to trigger metadata commit failure in the subsequent reserve_metadata_snap operation. The 14th block will be the shadow destination for the index block. dmsetup create tmeta --table "0 112 linear /dev/sdc 0 112 3984 error" 2. Create a 16 MiB thin-pool dmsetup create tdata --table "0 32768 zero" dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mapper/tmeta bs=4k count=1 dmsetup create tpool --table "0 32768 thin-pool /dev/mapper/tmeta \ /dev/mapper/tdata 128 0 1 skip_block_zeroing" 3. Take a metadata snapshot to trigger metadata commit failure and transaction abort. However, the held_root is written to disk, breaking metadata consistency. dmsetup me

Aug 14, 2026A flaw was found in Undertow, an HTTP server, within its HTTP response header writing path.CVE-2026-19879 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.3
A flaw was found in Undertow, an HTTP server, within its HTTP response header writing path. The `writeString()` method performs a silent narrowing cast from 16-bit Unicode characters to 8-bit bytes when writing HTTP response header values. A remote attacker can exploit this by supplying specific Unicode characters in user-controlled input that an application places into response headers. This can lead to the truncation of these characters into ASCII control characters or special symbols, potentially resulting in limited integrity impact or information disclosure if the application does not properly sanitize user input.

Aug 14, 2026Paymob for WooCommerce: Does not properly sanitise a client-supplied identifier before using it in a SQL query within its publicCVE-2026-15205 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 8.6
The Paymob for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 4.1.9 does not properly sanitise a client-supplied identifier before using it in a SQL query within its public, unauthenticated payment callback, and performs this query before verifying the payment provider's HMAC signature. This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform SQL injection and read arbitrary data from the database — including user credentials and other secrets — through both in-band (reflected) and time-based blind extraction.
