  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55776 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, an authenticated OpenBao caller with write access to transit/keys/* could terminate the server process by setting derived to true while the type parameter selected rsa-, ecdsa-, or ed25519. The Transit policy creation path in builtin/logical/transit/backend.go and sdk/helper/keysutil/policy.go could reach an error path that double-unlocked a mutex while handling this invalid asymmetric derived-key combination, causing a panic, no HTTP response, process exit, and denial of service. JSON and HCL key-creation requests can express the triggering combination. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55775 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubLow 2.3

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, OpenBao users granted capabilities on /sys/namespaces/root within a non-root namespace could exploit special handling of the literal root path in namespace canonicalization. The /sys/namespaces/* endpoint family can resolve its containing namespace through a path prefix or X-Vault-Namespace header. ACL checks occurred before root canonicalized to an empty path, causing /sys/namespaces/root to resolve to the system backend's containing namespace and allowing permitted lookups, deletion, locking, or custom metadata changes against that direct containing namespace. The root namespace and arbitrary unrelated namespaces are not affected, and available operations depend on the capabilities granted on the path and subpaths such as /api-lock. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55774 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubLow 2.1

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, an OpenBao user with access to sys/leases/revoke/:lease_id in one namespace could revoke a lease in another namespace when the foreign lease_id was known, bypassing namespace ACL isolation. The affected lease lookup routing in vault/expiration.go allowed FetchLeaseInfo and loadEntry to resolve cached or stored lease data outside the request namespace, allowing a tenant that intentionally disclosed a lease identifier to have the lease and its underlying credential revoked by another tenant. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55770 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, OpenBao used EscapeLDAPValue, an RFC 4514 distinguished-name escaping function, where RFC 4515 LDAP search-filter escaping was required in sdk/helper/ldaputil/client.go GetUserDN. With the LDAP authentication backend configured for an Active Directory UPNDomain path or UserDN and UserAttr binding, an attacker-controlled username containing filter metacharacters could alter the search predicate and select a different directory entry because EscapeLDAPValue does not neutralize the characters handled by ldap.EscapeFilter. A resulting token could be associated with another LDAP identity and gain access to secrets, policies, or modification capabilities assigned to that identity. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026Kiwi TCMS is an open source test management system.CVE-2026-55630 · Other software · kiwitcms · reported by GitHubNone

Kiwi TCMS is an open source test management system. Prior to 16.1, TestCase.extra_link and TestPlan.extra_link accepted unsanitized user input and rendered stored values verbatim, creating an opportunity for cross-site scripting. Official Docker images and unmodified Kiwi TCMS middleware send a Content-Security-Policy header that blocks inline JavaScript, making exploitation difficult in default deployments, while customized deployments that weaken those security settings may remain vulnerable. Version 16.1 properly sanitizes both fields and resets existing database records that do not validate to null. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.

Kiwi TCMS is an open source test management system. Prior to 16.1, the account confirmation endpoint accepted an unvalidated next parameter, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to create a URL on a trusted Kiwi TCMS hostname that redirects a victim to an arbitrary external domain. The trusted origin can support credential-harvesting pages, bypass email security filters and link-reputation checks that allowlist the organization's domain, or deliver malware through a convincing account-confirmation lure. • Sep 14, 2026October System provides the system module for October Content Management System.CVE-2026-49400 · Other software · octobercms · reported by GitHubLow 3.3

October System provides the system module for October Content Management System. Prior to versions 3.7.17 and 4.2.21, the backend `SessionMaker` trait stored widget session state as `base64(serialize(...))` and consumed it with `unserialize()` without an `allowed_classes` restriction. Any code path that could write to a `widget.*` session key with attacker-controlled bytes could trigger PHP object injection the next time the widget read its session state, allowing instantiation of arbitrary classes and reachable PHP gadget chains. This issue only affects installations running with `cms.safe_mode` enabled. Safe Mode is a niche opt-in feature, primarily used for demo installations and multi-tenant or shared-editor scenarios where untrusted users are deliberately granted access to the CMS markup editor. In standard production deployments Safe Mode is off, backend access is restricted to trusted administrators, and a markup editor can already execute arbitrary PHP directly. The session-write path that reaches this sink is gated by the Safe Mode sandbox, so installations without Safe Mode enabled are not exposed. Scope of impact is narrow even with Safe Mode enabled. The standard backen

October System provides the system module for October Content Management System. Versions prior to 3.7.17 and 4.2.21 have a vulnerability in the Twig sandbox security policy that allowed a chained bypass when `cms.safe_mode` is enabled. The Laravel session store was exposed to Twig with unrestricted method access, and raw SQL methods reachable through Eloquent's `__call` forwarding were not blocked across the full builder chain. When combined, a backend user with CMS markup editing access could read arbitrary database values via raw SQL expressions and write to the backend authentication session key, forging a backend session as another existing user. The scope of impact is narrow. Safe Mode is a niche feature, primarily used for demo installations and multi-tenant or shared-editor scenarios where untrusted users are deliberately granted access to the CMS markup editor. Standard production deployments do not enable Safe Mode, because under normal October CMS guidance backend access - including markup editing - is restricted to trusted administrators, and direct PHP injection through markup is already possible without Safe Mode in that configuration. • Sep 14, 2026Alchemy is an open source content management system engine written in Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-57579 · Other software · AlchemyCMS · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Alchemy is an open source content management system engine written in Ruby on Rails. Prior to 7.4.15, 8.0.15, 8.1.14, and 8.2.6, the unauthenticated GET /api/pages/nested endpoint implemented by Api::PagesController#nested in app/controllers/alchemy/api/pages_controller.rb returns an unfiltered page tree because it performs no authorization and does not scope descendants by the caller's ability. Anonymous callers can retrieve restricted and unpublished page metadata that the sibling show action denies. When elements=true is supplied, PageTreeSerializer also returns element and ingredient content from restricted pages because PageTreePreloader and the serializer do not apply an ability check to those records. This issue is fixed in versions 7.4.15, 8.0.15, 8.1.14, and 8.2.6.

GetSimple CMS is a content management system (CMS), and GetSimple CMS CE is the community edition of that CMS. A logic flaw in GetSimple CMS (v3.4.0a and below) and GetSimpleCMS-CE (v3.3.22 and below) allows unauthenticated attackers to create a new administrator account. The application features an automated security control designed to delete the sensitive `admin/setup.php` file post-installation. However, this control is neutralized by a self-exclusion bug within the deletion logic, leaving the setup script accessible for unauthorized account creation even after a legitimate installation is completed. • Sep 9, 2026Snipe-IT is an open source IT asset management system.CVE-2026-86747 · Other software · grokability · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

Snipe-IT is an open source IT asset management system. In versions up to and including 8.6.3, the report acceptance endpoints POST /reports/unaccepted_assets/sent_reminder (ReportsController::sentAssetAcceptanceReminder) and DELETE /reports/unaccepted_assets/{acceptanceId}/delete (ReportsController::deleteAssetAcceptance) are not correctly scoped when Full Multiple Company Support (FMCS) is enabled. In 8.6.3 the guard ReportsController::currentUserCanAccessAcceptance() early-exits with 'return true' when '! $user->company_id' is truthy, which is the case for every pivot-only user (a user associated with companies through the company_user pivot table whose scalar users.company_id column is NULL); versions prior to 8.6.3 lacked the guard altogether. As a result, an authenticated user holding the reports.view permission can send acceptance-reminder emails for, and permanently delete, any pending acceptance record in the install regardless of which company owns the underlying checkoutable. Deletion is destructive and forfeits the acceptance audit trail for the affected item, and the reminder email exposes limited cross-company acceptance context (item name and assignment metadata) to t

ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and sanitize-html provides a simple HTML sanitizer with a clear API. In configurations that allow the animate, animateColor, animateMotion, animateTransform, or set elements, a values list can begin with a safe fragment and contain a later executable destination that survives allowedSchemesAppliedToAttributes checking. When the sanitized SVG is rendered, the browser can copy that later destination into the live link, and a victim who activates the link can execute script in the application's origin. Prior to versions 2.6.25 and 3.0.8, src/Sulu/Bundle/MediaBundle/Controller/MediaStreamController.php allows the /media/{id}/download/{slug} route and its administration variant to honor the inline query parameter for scriptable MIME types. The vulnerable stored Content-Type values include text/html, application/xhtml+xml, text/xml, and application/xml. An attacker with media upload permission can store an HTML, XHTML, or XML document and create a link using inline=1, causing the application to return the file on the Sulu origin instead of forcing Content-Disposition attachment. When an authenticated victim opens the link, attacker-controlled JavaScript can execute with the victim's Sulu-origin session and can read data or perform actions as that victim. Kirby is an open-source content management system. Prior to 4.9.5 and 5.5.2, depending on the release line, Kirby's media handler in src/Cms/Media.php allowed Kirby\Cms\Media::thumb() to append a path-bearing filename to a validated parent media directory. On nginx, PHP's built-in server, or Apache with AllowEncodedSlashes enabled, a remote attacker could submit encoded slash characters such as %2f in the filename and traverse outside the parent's media directory. Differences between responses for existing and nonexistent thumbnail configurations disclosed whether an arbitrary .json file existed, and a .json file containing a valid filename key could cause the referenced image to be returned and the job file to be deleted. The related file::version path in src/Filesystem/Asset.php also accepted ../ sequences outside the intended index root. This issue is fixed in versions 4.9.5 and 5.5.2.

Kirby is an open-source content management system. Prior to 4.9.5 and 5.5.2, depending on the release line, Kirby's media handler used incomplete filesystem containment checks in src/Filesystem/Dir.php and src/Filesystem/F.php through Kirby\Filesystem\Dir::realpath() and Kirby\Filesystem\F::realpath(). The checks accepted a sibling directory whose path shared the intended root's string prefix, such as /var/www/site2 next to /var/www/site, because they did not require an exact match or a DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR boundary. A remote attacker could use Kirby\Cms\Media::thumb() to create and access thumbnails from image files in a PHP-readable sibling directory when that directory contained a valid .json thumbnail job file, potentially exposing staging sites, backups, or other internal sites and deleting the job file during processing. This issue is fixed in versions 4.9.5 and 5.5.2.

  • Aug 28, 2026Piccolo Admin is an admin interface and content management system for Python, built on top of Piccolo.CVE-2026-55485 · Other software · piccolo-orm · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Piccolo Admin is an admin interface and content management system for Python, built on top of Piccolo. Prior to 1.14.0, piccolo_admin/endpoints.py uses superuser_validators to block PUT, PATCH, DELETE, and POST requests by non-superusers but permits GET requests to configured user and session tables, while piccolo_api/session_auth/tables.py exposes SessionsBase.token because the token column is not secret. In deployments that add the Sessions and User tables to create_admin, a non-superuser administrator can call GET /api/tables/sessions/, obtain another user's live session token, replay it as the Cookie id value to impersonate a superuser, and permanently set superuser to true on the attacker's own row. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.0.

Volmarg Personal Management System contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to read arbitrary files by supplying absolute filesystem paths to the GET /public/get-file/{path} endpoint. The path route parameter is passed directly to file_get_contents() without canonicalization against a permitted base directory, enabling attackers to retrieve sensitive files accessible to the PHP-FPM worker process without using directory traversal sequences.

  • Aug 26, 2026Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework.CVE-2026-63179 · Other software · wintercms · reported by GitHubMedium 4.9

Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework. In versions up to and including 1.2.12, authenticated backend users can disclose arbitrary files readable by the PHP process by injecting @import (inline) directives into LESS source that the backend compiles, because the LESS parser was instantiated without a safe import resolver and fell back to the raw attacker-supplied path when no allowed root matched. The flaw is reachable through four entry points that share the same root cause: the Brand Settings custom_css field, the Editor Settings html_custom_styles field, the Mail Brand Settings colour-picker fields whose values are concatenated into LESS source without escaping, and theme .less, .sass, and .scss assets compiled when served. Both absolute paths and .. traversal outside the asset's own tree were accepted, so an attacker could read any file the web process can access, most significantly the application .env file and the APP_KEY and database credentials it contains. Exploitation requires a backend account holding one of the associated permissions, which are assigned by default to the built-in Developer role. This issue is fixed in version 1.2.13.

  • Aug 26, 2026Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework.CVE-2026-54256 · Other software · wintercms · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework. In versions up to and including 1.2.12, the backend FileUpload form widget trusted an attacker-controlled file_id POST parameter when resolving the attachment it operates on, allowing an authenticated backend user to read and modify attachment records belonging to other users or records. The widget's getFileRecord() lookup resolved the posted id against the global system_files table without verifying that the file belonged to the widget's own relation, parent record, or deferred-binding session. Because all attachments share a single File model and table and attachment ids are sequential integers that are easily enumerated, a user reaching any form with a fileupload field, including the built-in My Account avatar field that requires no specific permission, could target arbitrary attachments to modify their title and description via onSaveAttachmentConfig and change their sort order via onSortAttachments, which passed posted ids straight to an unscoped update. CSRF tokens remain enforced, so exploitation requires a valid authenticated backend session with any level of access. This issue is fixed in version

  • Aug 26, 2026Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework.CVE-2026-32639 · Other software · wintercms · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework. In versions up to and including 1.2.12, the CMS section's Theme Editor AJAX handlers did not enforce per-template-type permission checks, allowing a backend user with any single CMS permission to act on template types outside their authorized scope. The CMS controller gated access to the section as a whole using OR-logic across its five permissions, but individual handlers such as onSave(), onDelete(), and onDeleteTemplates() did not verify that the user held the specific permission for the requested template type, so a user with only cms.manage_pages could craft AJAX requests to delete layouts, modify partials, or read content files. Separately, the AssetList widget was registered for any user who passed the controller gate regardless of the cms.manage_assets permission, and its onUpload() handler omitted the theme-validation call present on the other mutating handlers, permitting unauthorized file uploads into the active theme's asset directory. Exploitation requires an authenticated backend account holding at least one of the CMS Theme Editor permissions. This issue is fixed in version 1.2.13.

  • Aug 26, 2026Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework.CVE-2026-32593 · Other software · wintercms · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework. In versions up to and including 1.2.12, the backend Filter widget is vulnerable to SQL injection through the numberrange scope type when that scope is configured with a conditions key, allowing an authenticated backend user to inject arbitrary SQL. The scope's filter values are interpolated into the conditions statement without parameter binding, so a user with access to a list view whose filter uses this scope and configuration can supply crafted input through the filter's AJAX handler and read arbitrary database contents. No built-in Winter CMS backend views use this scope type and configuration combination, so exploitation requires a third-party plugin to have registered a numberrange filter scope with a conditions key, and a vanilla installation without such plugins is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.2.13.

  • Aug 26, 2026Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework.CVE-2026-35445 · Other software · wintercms · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Winter CMS is a content management system built on the Laravel PHP framework. In versions prior to 1.2.13, the backend did not validate the handler name submitted through the form postback _handler POST field, allowing an authenticated backend user to invoke arbitrary controller methods, including protected, private, and action-prefixed ones. While AJAX requests validate that handler names match the on[A-Z][\w+]* pattern, the postback path passed the submitted _handler value straight to the handler dispatcher with no such check, so any controller that exposes a public action or conditionally relaxes its $requiredPermissions check could be reached, bypassing the roles and permissions system. The built-in Users controller was affected because it set $requiredPermissions to null for the myaccount action, letting any authenticated backend user invoke user-management methods such as update_onDelete and update_onManualPasswordReset without holding the backend.manage_users permission. This issue is fixed in version 1.2.13.

SENAITE.CORE is the core framework for the SENAITE laboratory information management system. From 2.0.0 to 2.6.0, the SENAITE.CORE JSON API permits unauthenticated remote code execution through a two-request chain involving missing authorization and unsafe evaluation. The state-changing routes in src/bika/lims/jsonapi/update.py, including update, update_many, remove, doActionFor, doActionFor_many, and getusers, do not enforce the senaite.core: Access JSON API permission before resolving attacker-selected objects. In src/bika/lims/jsonapi/init.py, set_fields_from_request passes raw request values for RecordsField and RecordField instances to eval() before field mutator write-permission checks execute. An anonymous attacker can discover the bika_setup object identifier through @@uuid, send a value such as RejectionReasons to /@@API/update, and execute arbitrary Python in the Zope worker before a later mutation failure rolls back ZODB changes. The same unsafe evaluation pattern is present in src/senaite/core/browser/fields/record.py and src/senaite/core/browser/fields/records.py. Successful exploitation can expose or modify laboratory data, files, and accounts and can disrupt the serv

  • Aug 20, 2026django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django.CVE-2026-75526 · Other software · django-cms · reported by GitHubMedium 4.4

django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. From 5.0.8 until 5.0.9, ContentRenderer.render_placeholder in cms/plugin_rendering.py can pass stored, attacker-controlled values to ContentRenderer.render_exception when plugin rendering fails in edit mode. Values from get_short_description(), the exception message, the placeholder, or placeholder.source are interpolated into a cms-rendering-exception heading and later returned through mark_safe. Because the heading is not escaped, stored HTML executes in an editor’s browser, and settings.DEBUG does not prevent the custom heading from rendering. The fix uses format_html to escape the message before safe placeholder output is returned. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.9.

  • Aug 20, 2026django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django.CVE-2026-63003 · Other software · django-cms · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.9, page duplication lacks an object-level authorization check on the source page. In cms/admin/forms.py, DuplicatePageForm.source accepts any Page, the AddPageForm constructor does not narrow a hidden source field, AddPageForm.clean does not validate the source against the user, and AddPageForm.save calls from_source. In cms/admin/pageadmin.py, duplicate and PageAdmin.has_add_permission check only whether a staff user may add a page. A crafted source value can therefore copy every placeholder and plugin from an unauthorized page with permissions=False, stripping source view restrictions and exposing content across sites or restricted subtrees when CMS_PERMISSION is enabled. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.9.
