  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55776 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, an authenticated OpenBao caller with write access to transit/keys/* could terminate the server process by setting derived to true while the type parameter selected rsa-, ecdsa-, or ed25519. The Transit policy creation path in builtin/logical/transit/backend.go and sdk/helper/keysutil/policy.go could reach an error path that double-unlocked a mutex while handling this invalid asymmetric derived-key combination, causing a panic, no HTTP response, process exit, and denial of service. JSON and HCL key-creation requests can express the triggering combination. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55775 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubLow 2.3

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, OpenBao users granted capabilities on /sys/namespaces/root within a non-root namespace could exploit special handling of the literal root path in namespace canonicalization. The /sys/namespaces/* endpoint family can resolve its containing namespace through a path prefix or X-Vault-Namespace header. ACL checks occurred before root canonicalized to an empty path, causing /sys/namespaces/root to resolve to the system backend's containing namespace and allowing permitted lookups, deletion, locking, or custom metadata changes against that direct containing namespace. The root namespace and arbitrary unrelated namespaces are not affected, and available operations depend on the capabilities granted on the path and subpaths such as /api-lock. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55774 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubLow 2.1

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, an OpenBao user with access to sys/leases/revoke/:lease_id in one namespace could revoke a lease in another namespace when the foreign lease_id was known, bypassing namespace ACL isolation. The affected lease lookup routing in vault/expiration.go allowed FetchLeaseInfo and loadEntry to resolve cached or stored lease data outside the request namespace, allowing a tenant that intentionally disclosed a lease identifier to have the lease and its underlying credential revoked by another tenant. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system.CVE-2026-55770 · Other software · openbao · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

OpenBao is an open source identity-based secrets management system. Prior to 2.5.5, OpenBao used EscapeLDAPValue, an RFC 4514 distinguished-name escaping function, where RFC 4515 LDAP search-filter escaping was required in sdk/helper/ldaputil/client.go GetUserDN. With the LDAP authentication backend configured for an Active Directory UPNDomain path or UserDN and UserAttr binding, an attacker-controlled username containing filter metacharacters could alter the search predicate and select a different directory entry because EscapeLDAPValue does not neutralize the characters handled by ldap.EscapeFilter. A resulting token could be associated with another LDAP identity and gain access to secrets, policies, or modification capabilities assigned to that identity. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.5.

  • Sep 15, 2026OpenDJ is an LDAPv3 compliant directory service.CVE-2026-46495 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

OpenDJ is an LDAPv3 compliant directory service. Prior to 5.1.1, the JMX RMI connector in opendj-server-legacy/src/main/java/org/opends/server/protocols/jmx/RmiConnector.java processes attacker-controlled credential objects before authentication without a restrictive jmx.remote.rmi.server.credentials.filter.pattern, and RmiAuthenticator.authenticate in opendj-server-legacy/src/main/java/org/opends/server/protocols/jmx/RmiAuthenticator.java accepts an unconstrained Object array rather than a two-element String[]. When the JMX Connection Handler is enabled and its TCP listener is reachable, an unauthenticated remote attacker can submit a crafted serialized Java object and achieve code execution in the OpenDJ server process. The handler is disabled by default, and successful exploitation depends on the runtime classpath and Java version; remote code execution was demonstrated against OpenDJ 4.4.15 on JDK 11 with Jackson 2.12.6.1. This issue is fixed in 5.1.1.

  • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-62379 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.2, the pre-authentication /authservice PLL endpoint accepts a CustomCallback XML element whose className value selects an arbitrary Java class for AuthXMLUtils to load and instantiate without verifying that it implements DSAMECallbackInterface. Default configurations expose the endpoint without authentication, allowing attacker-controlled class initialization and unsafe deserialization of a serialized Subject value to execute code in the server process. Enabling sunRemoteAuthSecurityEnabled does not prevent the vulnerable parsing and instantiation because its check occurs later. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.2.

  • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-62280 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. From 13.0.0 until 16.1.2, the OAuth2 authorize endpoint's display=wap consent page reflects request-derived values through ConsentRequiredResource and wap/authorize.ftl without HTML escaping. An attacker can induce a user with an active OpenAM session to follow a crafted authorization link and execute JavaScript in the OpenAM origin, enabling session or cookie theft, CSRF-token disclosure, and actions with the victim's privileges. At least one registered OAuth2 client is required, but the attacker does not need to control that client. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.2.

  • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-62263 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.2, WebAuthnAuthentication.deserialize applies an ObjectInputFilter that allows every serialized object at depth greater than 1 and therefore constrains only an AuthenticatorImpl root object. A pre-authentication attacker can supply a userHandle whose serialized graph has a valid AuthenticatorImpl root and a nested gadget class, causing readObject or readResolve execution before the cast and assertion verification when a usable gadget is on the classpath. This bypasses the incomplete remediation for the earlier WebAuthn deserialization vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.2.

  • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-53660 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the default configuration initializes the iPlanetDirectoryPro SSO cookie with HttpOnly disabled and without a protective SameSite default, and OAuth and OpenID Connect consent flows reuse that cookie through CsrfProtection as a CSRF token. When combined with same-origin cross-site scripting and a user following an attacker-controlled link, the cookie can be read and reused to steal the SSO session and complete attacker-driven consent grants. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

  • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-48717 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, AuthorizationCodeGrantTypeHandler requires a code_verifier only when the realm-wide codeVerifierEnforced setting is enabled, even when an authorization code stores a code_challenge. Because that setting is disabled by default, an attacker who intercepts a PKCE-protected authorization code can omit code_verifier and redeem the code, while an explicitly incorrect verifier is rejected. Public clients are directly affected, and confidential-client exploitation additionally requires client authentication material or another redemption context. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the private_key_jwt client authentication path uses ClientJwksResolverCache without reliably binding a cached jwks_uri resolver and verified assertion to the expected clientID in ClientCredentialsReader. An attacker controlling any registered client with published keys, including one obtained through open dynamic registration when enabled, can authenticate as another client whose keys are exposed through jwks_uri and mint tokens in that client's name across realms in the same OpenAM process. Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, GroovySandboxValueFilter permits an authenticated server-side script author to escape the scripting sandbox despite the default class allow and deny lists. A user such as a sub-realm RealmAdmin who can create or edit a script in an executed context can invoke operating-system commands as the OpenAM application server account, crossing the realm-scoped administration boundary and compromising the JVM and every realm it serves. • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-46623 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the OAuth2 authentication module updates an existing local account with profile attributes that can include userPassword and inetUserStatus, rewriting the password to the username and reactivating disabled accounts. The missing OAuth.removeRestrictedAccountUpdateAttributes filtering permits these credential and status fields to reach the account update. With account creation enabled, repeated OAuth login causes the default ldapService chain to accept the username as both identifier and password, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to take over the local account without interacting with the identity provider. The rewrite can be denied for usernames shorter than the configured minimum password length. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, MSISDNValidation in the MSISDN authentication module concatenates the request-supplied MSISDN value into an LDAP search filter without escaping, while the default empty trusted-gateway list allows all traffic. In a realm where an MSISDN module is enabled in a reachable authentication chain, an unauthenticated remote attacker can inject LDAP filter metacharacters, select an arbitrary matching user, and obtain a normal authenticated OpenAM session without a password. Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, OAuthTokenStore reads caller-supplied token identifiers from the shared Core Token Store (CTS) without an OAuth-only namespace, and OAuthAdapter accepts a row whose BLOB claims to contain an OAuth token without binding the trusted CTS type or verifying integrity. An attacker who can place controlled JSON in CTS under a known token identifier, such as through Push Registration followed by an anonymous SNS callback in an enabled realm, can mint OAuth bearer tokens and OpenID Connect ID tokens with chosen subject, client, realm, and scope. The flaw does not by itself create an OpenAM SSO session or grant console access. This issue is fixed in version 16.1.1.

  • Sep 15, 2026Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution.CVE-2026-45794 · Other software · OpenIdentityPlatform · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the anonymous Push Notification SNS callback handled by SnsMessageResource falls back to a CTS predicate blob after a messageId expires from the in-memory dispatcher, treats top-level blob keys as Java class names for Class.forName, and deserializes attacker-controlled JSON through Jackson. A low-privileged user who starts Push Registration and obtains the messageId, shared secret, and challenge can wait for expiry, replace the persistent blob through anonymous callbacks, and trigger class loading and construction in the OpenAM JVM. The primitive can cause classpath-dependent process execution, file writes, or denial of service, although command execution was not confirmed on the tested stock classpath. Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, the Liberty Web Services SOAP receiver permits unauthenticated remote requests to write persistent entries through SOAPReceiver and DiscoveryService into a user's Liberty Discovery store and the shared root-realm Discovery branch. The server-side handlers bypass requester LDAP and identity ACLs, and the global path uses an internal administrative token. Open Access Management (OpenAM) is an access management solution. Prior to 16.1.1, WebAuthnAuthentication loads a serialized AuthenticatorImpl object graph from the configured userAttribute through loadAuthenticators without an ObjectInputFilter. Exploitation requires the WebAuthn flow to be reachable and an attacker to have previously written controlled data to that attribute through delegated administration, provisioning, directory access, legacy REST self-registration, or unsafe configuration. When those non-default conditions hold, the data is deserialized before assertion verification and can execute a classpath gadget in the application server process. The SMS OTP flow fails to adequately handle error messages, allowing an attacker to infer the existence of registered user accounts based on the responses received during the OTP initiation process. This weakness can be exploited by an attacker to discover valid usernames within the system. The impact is amplified for accounts that have not configured a mobile number, as the enumeration is specifically tied to this condition. The discovery of these usernames can facilitate subsequent brute force attacks, social engineering attempts, and information leakage, potentially leading to reputational damage, loss of customer trust, and regulatory non-compliance.

Affected versions of MISP’s interactive CLI shell do not reliably preserve the identity of the impersonated MISP user across audit logging. The shell is designed to run actions as a supplied MISP user ID. However, the legacy SysLogLogable behavior stored that identity in behavior-instance state that could be overwritten when another model lazily attached the shared behavior. Consequently, subsequent CLI writes could lose the intended user attribution and be logged incorrectly. The commit also notes that CLI-originated records lacked a CLI marker, making them appear similar to ordinary web actions by that user. Version affected: ≤2.5.45

Forgejo 13.0.0 through 16.0.4, when "[federation] ENABLED = true" is set, has a spoofing issue that affects identity integrity but does not allow account takeover or content modification. It does not verify that the HTTP Signature on an incoming ActivityPub activity was produced by the key belonging to the actor named in the activity body. The signature verification in routers/api/v1/activitypub/reqsignature.go validates the request signature, but the inbox activity handlers subsequently read the acting identity from the attacker-controlled JSON body without binding it to the verified signing key. Additionally, the signed Digest header is not recomputed against the received request body. A remote attacker who hosts a single valid ActivityPub actor and keypair can therefore submit signature-valid activities attributed to any actor identity they name.

A flaw was found in the Dynamic Client Registration service of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. The issue occurs when a user with the view-clients role accesses the client registration endpoint to retrieve client details. Due to a failure to mask sensitive information, the service returns the client's confidential secret in cleartext. This could allow a read-only administrator to obtain full access to the affected client's account and potentially escalate their privileges within the realm.

  • Sep 10, 2026A flaw was found in the Device Authorization Grant flow of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution.CVE-2026-88770 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5

A flaw was found in the Device Authorization Grant flow of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution. The issue occurs because the token redemption process fails to check if a user account is currently locked due to brute-force protection. If an attacker has an active session for a locked account, they can complete the device login process and receive new security tokens. This allows the attacker to maintain access to the account even when it should be temporarily disabled to prevent unauthorized entry.

In the current development version of Eclipse aeriOS, for which no official release has yet been published, the Identity Manager (IdM) deployment included insecure default configurations and credentials for security-sensitive services. The Helm chart exposed the Keycloak service and its PostgreSQL backing database through Kubernetes NodePort services by default, while the Docker Compose deployment similarly exposed PostgreSQL on all network interfaces. The deployment included fixed default credentials for the Keycloak administrator and PostgreSQL database user, and the previous Helm chart configuration did not provide adequate secret management for these credentials. In addition, predefined application users with known credentials were provided for development and testing without sufficiently warning operators against their use in production environments. An attacker able to reach the exposed services could use the published default credentials to obtain administrative access to the Identity Manager or direct access to its database. This could allow unauthorized access to or modification of identity-management data, including users, roles, client credentials, sessions, and

  • Sep 8, 2026In affected Snowflake drivers, WORKLOAD_IDENTITY authentication requests a cloud workload-identity token and attaches it to the login request without verifying CVE-2026-86600 · Other software · Snowflake · reported by 412d305a-227d-44f9-a262-a31ba44f2aeaHigh 8.2

In affected Snowflake drivers, WORKLOAD_IDENTITY authentication requests a cloud workload-identity token and attaches it to the login request without verifying that the configured host is a Snowflake endpoint. An attacker who can modify the connection configuration can cause the driver to mint a fresh attestation and send it to a host they control. The captured token can be replayed to Snowflake for its remaining lifetime in accounts where that workload identity is already registered. On Azure, the token audience is also taken from connection configuration. Combined with an attacker-controlled host, the driver can request a Managed Identity access token scoped to a non-Snowflake Azure resource and deliver it to the attacker. That path is the only case in which impact extends beyond Snowflake; it is bounded by the token lifetime and the managed identity’s permissions. Successful exploitation requires WORKLOAD_IDENTITY authentication on a workload that already has an ambient cloud identity. Patched driver versions restrict this authenticator to recognized Snowflake hosts. Users must manually upgrade.
