In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: Keep write operations atomic syzbot reported a NULL pointer dereference in __generic_file_write_iter. [1] Before the write operation is completed, the user executes ioctl[2] to clear the compress flag of the file, which causes the is_compressed() judgment to return 0, further causing the program to enter the wrong process and call the wrong ops ntfs_aops_cmpr, which triggers the null pointer dereference of write_begin. Use inode lock to synchronize ioctl and write to avoid this case. • May 2, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: fix struct pid leaks in OOB support syzbot reported struct pid leak [1].CVE-2023-53136 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: fix struct pid leaks in OOB support syzbot reported struct pid leak [1]. Issue is that queue_oob() calls maybe_add_creds() which potentially holds a reference on a pid. But skb->destructor is not set (either directly or by calling unix_scm_to_skb()) This means that subsequent kfree_skb() or consume_skb() would leak this reference. In this fix, I chose to fully support scm even for the OOB message. • May 2, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: restore bond's IFF_SLAVE flag if a non-eth dev enslave fails syzbot reported a waCVE-2023-53103 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: restore bond's IFF_SLAVE flag if a non-eth dev enslave fails syzbot reported a warning[1] where the bond device itself is a slave and we try to enslave a non-ethernet device as the first slave which fails but then in the error path when ether_setup() restores the bond device it also clears all flags. In my previous fix[2] I restored the IFF_MASTER flag, but I didn't consider the case that the bond device itself might also be a slave with IFF_SLAVE set, so we need to restore that flag as well. Use the bond_ether_setup helper which does the right thing and restores the bond's flags properly. Steps to reproduce using a nlmon dev: $ ip l add nlmon0 type nlmon $ ip l add bond1 type bond $ ip l add bond2 type bond $ ip l set bond1 master bond2 $ ip l set dev nlmon0 master bond1 $ ip -d l sh dev bond1 22: bond1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,MASTER> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue master bond2 state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000 (now bond1's IFF_SLAVE flag is gone and we'll hit a warning[3] if we try to delete it) [1] https://syzkaller.appspot.com/bug?id=391c7b1f6522182899efba27d891f1743e8eb3ef [2] commit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/active: Fix misuse of non-idle barriers as fence trackers Users reported oopses on list corruptions when using i915 perf with a number of concurrently running graphics applications. Root cause analysis pointed at an issue in barrier processing code -- a race among perf open / close replacing active barriers with perf requests on kernel context and concurrent barrier preallocate / acquire operations performed during user context first pin / last unpin. When adding a request to a composite tracker, we try to reuse an existing fence tracker, already allocated and registered with that composite. The tracker we obtain may already track another fence, may be an idle barrier, or an active barrier. If the tracker we get occurs a non-idle barrier then we try to delete that barrier from a list of barrier tasks it belongs to. However, while doing that we don't respect return value from a function that performs the barrier deletion. Should the deletion ever fail, we would end up reusing the tracker still registered as a barrier task. Since the same structure field is reused with both fence callback lists and

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Fix use-after-free for dynamic ftrace_ops KASAN reported a use-after-free with ftrace ops [1]. It was found from vmcore that perf had registered two ops with the same content successively, both dynamic. After unregistering the second ops, a use-after-free occurred. In ftrace_shutdown(), when the second ops is unregistered, the FTRACE_UPDATE_CALLS command is not set because there is another enabled ops with the same content. Also, both ops are dynamic and the ftrace callback function is ftrace_ops_list_func, so the FTRACE_UPDATE_TRACE_FUNC command will not be set. Eventually the value of 'command' will be 0 and ftrace_shutdown() will skip the rcu synchronization. However, ftrace may be activated. When the ops is released, another CPU may be accessing the ops. Add the missing synchronization to fix this problem. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/trans_fd: always use O_NONBLOCK read/write syzbot is reporting hung task at p9_fd_close() [1], for p9_mux_poll_stop() from p9_conn_destroy() from p9_fd_close() is failing to interrupt already started kernel_read() from p9_fd_read() from p9_read_work() and/or kernel_write() from p9_fd_write() from p9_write_work() requests. Since p9_socket_open() sets O_NONBLOCK flag, p9_mux_poll_stop() does not need to interrupt kernel_read()/kernel_write(). However, since p9_fd_open() does not set O_NONBLOCK flag, but pipe blocks unless signal is pending, p9_mux_poll_stop() needs to interrupt kernel_read()/kernel_write() when the file descriptor refers to a pipe. In other words, pipe file descriptor needs to be handled as if socket file descriptor. We somehow need to interrupt kernel_read()/kernel_write() on pipes. A minimal change, which this patch is doing, is to set O_NONBLOCK flag from p9_fd_open(), for O_NONBLOCK flag does not affect reading/writing of regular files. But this approach changes O_NONBLOCK flag on userspace- supplied file descriptors (which might break userspace programs), and O_NONBLOCK flag could be c

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmxnet3: Fix packet corruption in vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_frame Andrew and Nikolay reported connectivity issues with Cilium's service load-balancing in case of vmxnet3. If a BPF program for native XDP adds an encapsulation header such as IPIP and transmits the packet out the same interface, then in case of vmxnet3 a corrupted packet is being sent and subsequently dropped on the path. vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_frame() which is called e.g. via vmxnet3_run_xdp() through vmxnet3_xdp_xmit_back() calculates an incorrect DMA address: page = virt_to_page(xdpf->data); tbi->dma_addr = page_pool_get_dma_addr(page) + VMXNET3_XDP_HEADROOM; dma_sync_single_for_device(&adapter->pdev->dev, tbi->dma_addr, buf_size, DMA_TO_DEVICE); The above assumes a fixed offset (VMXNET3_XDP_HEADROOM), but the XDP BPF program could have moved xdp->data. While the passed buf_size is correct (xdpf->len), the dma_addr needs to have a dynamic offset which can be calculated as xdpf->data - (void *)xdpf, that is, xdp->data - xdp->data_hard_start.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
