Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/tas2781: Cancel async firmware request at unbind TAS2781 HDA I2C and SPI queue RCVE-2026-80872 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: hda/tas2781: Cancel async firmware request at unbind TAS2781 HDA I2C and SPI queue RCA firmware loading from component bind with request_firmware_nowait(). The firmware loader keeps the callback module pinned and holds a device reference, but the callback still uses driver-private HDA state. Component unbind removes controls and DSP state immediately. Later device removal tears down the TAS2781 private data, including codec_lock. If the async firmware callback runs after unbind has started, it can operate on state that is being torn down. Cancel or synchronize the async firmware request before removing controls and DSP state. A queued callback is cancelled, and an already-running callback is allowed to finish before unbind continues.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: publish io-uring queues with release semantics fuse_uring_create_queue() initializesCVE-2026-80858 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: publish io-uring queues with release semantics fuse_uring_create_queue() initializes a fuse_ring_queue and then publishes the pointer into ring->queues[qid] with WRITE_ONCE() under the fch->lock. There are several readers that may concurrently be fetching that pointer locklessly and then deferencing it. WRITE_ONCE() doesn't ensure ordering of the queue's field initialization before the ring->queues[qid] pointer assignment. The queue must be published with smp_store_release() so the field initialization is guaranteed to happen before. Readers in paths where the read may happen concurrently with the store need to use READ_ONCE() because any race involving a plain access is undefined.

Sep 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: don't queue packet path object notifications All file:line referenceCVE-2026-80837 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: don't queue packet path object notifications All file:line references below are against v7.2-rc4 (ac5b0e5651b1). The trace was captured on 7.2.0-rc6-kasan72rc6 (075b74841bd0), where the same lines apply. nft_obj_notify() is exported and reached from the packet path. Its only in-tree caller is nft_quota_obj_eval() (net/netfilter/nft_quota.c:68), which notifies with GFP_ATOMIC while evaluating a rule for a transiting packet, holding no mutex. Since commit 67cc570edaa0 ("netfilter: nf_tables: coalesce multiple notifications into one skbuff") that notification is no longer sent immediately. __nft_obj_notify() queues it onto nft_net->notify_list via nft_notify_enqueue() (net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c:1211), which is a bare list_add_tail(). notify_list has no lock of its own (include/net/netfilter/nf_tables.h:1951), it is serialised by commit_mutex: the six other enqueue sites all run inside a netlink transaction, and the drain in nft_commit_notify() (net/netfilter/nf_tables_api.c:10746) does list_del() + kfree_skb() from nf_tables_commit() with commit_mutex held. Sep 3, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: run deferred work on a module-owned workqueue ovpn queues several work items whose cCVE-2026-80753 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.4
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: run deferred work on a module-owned workqueue ovpn queues several work items whose callbacks execute module text. These works currently run on the global system workqueues, so module exit has no driver-owned drain point that guarantees the callbacks have fully returned before the module text can be freed. Object references protect the objects used by the callbacks, but they do not prove that a workqueue function has returned. In particular, a worker can drop the final reference that unblocks device teardown while it is still executing ovpn code. Add a module-owned workqueue and queue all ovpn work items on it. During module exit, unregister rtnl and netlink first, flush the workqueue so ordinary ovpn workers finish, run the final RCU barrier, and destroy the workqueue last. This keeps the workqueue available for cleanup work queued from RCU callbacks, while ensuring no ovpn work item can outlive the module text. The per-device delayed keepalive work remains explicitly disabled during netdev teardown (disable_delayed_work_sync in ndo_uninit), since flush_workqueue does not flush delayed work that is still

Aug 27, 2026CakePHP Queue is a queue-interop compatible queueing library.CVE-2026-54713 · Other software · cakephp · reported by GitHubLow 3.7
CakePHP Queue is a queue-interop compatible queueing library. From 0.1.11 until 2.3.1, QueueManager::getUniqueId() generates identifiers for jobs with shouldBeUnique enabled from the job class, method, and parameters, but sorting parameter values drops associative-array keys. An unauthenticated attacker who can influence job parameters can submit semantically different data that produces the same identifier, resulting in legitimate jobs dropped as duplicate collisions. This issue is fixed in version 2.3.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - block s_input when F54 queue is busy Changing the input (diagnostic report type) mid-stream changes the report size. Since V4L2 buffers are allocated based on the size at stream start, changing the input while streaming could lead to a heap buffer overflow if the new size is larger than the allocated buffers. Prevent this by blocking VIDIOC_S_INPUT with -EBUSY if the V4L2 queue is busy (streaming).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - propagate F54 worker errors to V4L2 queue Previously, rmi_f54_buffer_queue() waited for the worker thread to finish but ignored whether it succeeded. If the worker failed (e.g., due to a timeout or register read failure), the queue thread would silently return success, delivering stale or uninitialized memory to userspace. Add a 'report_error' field to struct f54_data to store the worker's exit status. Check this field in rmi_f54_buffer_queue() after the worker finishes, and mark the buffer as VB2_BUF_STATE_ERROR if an error occurred.

Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: defer key slot crypto freeing to workqueue Key slots are released through a kref andCVE-2026-74750 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: defer key slot crypto freeing to workqueue Key slots are released through a kref and the existing release path frees the AEAD transforms from an RCU callback. That is not safe for all crypto implementations: crypto_free_aead can sleep, for example when an async or hardware implementation has teardown work to complete. Use queue_rcu_work for key-slot release. This keeps the RCU grace period needed by lockless key-slot readers, but runs the actual crypto teardown from workqueue context where sleeping is allowed. Once the rcu_work callback runs, pre-existing RCU readers are gone, and the final kref put already proves that no transform user remains, so the worker can release the AEAD transforms and free the slot directly. The previous patch drains ovpn_wq during module exit, so queued key-slot teardown work cannot outlive module text.

Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: veth: fix queue index used to wake the peer txq in veth_poll veth_poll() derives the indexCVE-2026-74742 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: veth: fix queue index used to wake the peer txq in veth_poll veth_poll() derives the index of the peer TX queue to wake from rq->xdp_rxq.queue_index. That field is only initialized by xdp_rxq_info_reg() in veth_enable_xdp_range(), which runs only when an XDP program is attached. On the plain GRO/NAPI path (veth_napi_enable_range()) xdp_rxq_info_reg() is never called, so queue_index stays 0 for every queue, as priv->rq is zero-allocated. So in a multi-queue setup with GRO enabled and no XDP program attached, every NAPI instance looks at the peer's TX queue 0. If veth_xmit() stops peer TX queue 1 because the ptr_ring is full (NETDEV_TX_BUSY), nothing ever wakes it again: the poller draining queue 1 wakes queue 0 instead. veth implements no ndo_tx_timeout, so the netdev watchdog does not kick in either, and the queue stays stopped indefinitely. Derive the index from the position of the rq within priv->rq instead, which is correct regardless of whether XDP was ever enabled. Scripts to reproduce the stall are available at https://github.com/netoptimizer/veth-backpressure-performance-testing

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: tcp: Fix use-after-free in bpf_iter_tcp_established_batch() reqsk_queue_hash_req() publishes a TCP_NEW_SYN_RECV request_sock onto the ehash chain, drops the bucket lock, and only afterwards sets rsk_refcnt to 3. Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rqspinlock: Reset tail when preserving queue on deadlock Currently, the destruction of theCVE-2026-74686 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rqspinlock: Reset tail when preserving queue on deadlock Currently, the destruction of the waiter queue is suppressed for rqspinlock in cases where a deadlock is detected. Deadlock checks happen relatively frequently (on entry for AA, within 1ms for ABBA), and waiter threads may not be involved in locking scenarios involving deadlocks. Thus, it is useful to not flush the queue and let other waiters take a stab at acquiring the lock after we detect a deadlock and exit. However, we need to follow the same logic as what we did previously for the waitq_timeout label: reset the tail, and if we cannot, signal the next waiter appropriately. In case of deadlocks, this signal would just mark the MCS node as unlocked, and in case of timeouts, it would signal RES_TIMEOUT_VAL. The difference thus is in the value propagated, which decides whether the queue remains active or gets flushed. Not doing the tail reset, and waiting for the next waiter can lead to cases where we are the final waiter, and thus no next waiter arrives, leading to intermittent stalls in this path. Once the next waiter does join, we will be unblocked. I

Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: inet: frags: publish queues before arming timer inet_frag_create() arms the fragment queueCVE-2026-74662 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: inet: frags: publish queues before arming timer inet_frag_create() arms the fragment queue timer before inserting the queue into the fqdir rhashtable. If the namespace fragment timeout is zero or negative, the timer can run before the queue is published. The timer callback then marks the queue complete, tries to remove a node that is not in the hash table yet, and drops the anticipated hash reference. Creation can subsequently publish the completed queue without restoring that reference, leaving a stale hash node after the caller drops the remaining reference. Publish the queue first and arm the timer while holding the queue lock. This makes timer expiry wait until the queue is visible in the hash table, so inet_frag_kill() can remove the node and balance the hash reference.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NTB: ntb_netdev: Preserve RX queue depth on allocation failure ntb_netdev_rx_handler() hands the received skb to the network stack before allocating its replacement. If the allocation fails, nothing is reposted. Every failure therefore takes one buffer out of the RX queue while the interface remains up, and enough failures eventually stall reception. A retry path could refill the queue later, but ntb_netdev has none. Allocate the replacement first instead. If that fails, drop the packet and repost the same skb. This keeps the queue full and lets packet delivery resume as soon as memory is available again.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: keep chunk->transport in step with the list it is queued on __sctp_outq_flush_rtx() moves a gap-acked chunk onto another transport's transmitted list without updating chunk->transport: if (chunk->tsn_gap_acked) { list_move_tail(&chunk->transmitted_list, &transport->transmitted); continue; } The chunk then sits on a live transport's list while chunk->transport still names a different one. If that transport is removed - sctp_assoc_rm_peer() from an ASCONF Delete-IP - sctp_transport_free() RCU-frees it and the chunk is left with a dangling pointer. sctp_assoc_rm_peer() scrubs peer->transmitted and asoc->outqueue.out_chunk_list, but the chunk is on neither. The pointer is not followed while tsn_gap_acked is set. A SACK that reneges on the TSN clears the flag, and the next SACK reaches tchunk->transport->flight_size -= sctp_data_size(tchunk); inside the freed transport. KASAN reports a slab-use-after-free read in sctp_check_transmitted(), freed from sctp_assoc_rm_peer(). Both the removal and the SACKs come from the association peer. Set chunk->transport at the move. AVideo through commit 9c39d8c8 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability where deduplicateByEncoderQueueId() returns video_id_hash credentials for any video by encoder_queue_id without ownership verification, and useVideoHashOrLogin() converts this hash into passwordless login as the video owner. Attackers with upload permission can retrieve an administrator's video_id_hash by omitting the videos_id parameter, then use that hash in an unauthenticated request to gain administrative session access and modify system configuration.

While the kernel was copying knotes during fork, a knote with a timer-based filter could fire and be enqueued on the kqueue's active list before the copy was complete. The copy routine did not account for this and could enqueue the new knote a second time, corrupting the active list. In addition, the copy routine did not hold the appropriate locks while reading knote state, allowing further races. An unprivileged local user can trigger a use-after-free in the kernel, potentially leading to privilege escalation.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: avoid use-after-free in poll trace queue dumps TIPC socket tracepoints dump queue state through tipc_sk_dump(). Most queue-dump callsites already serialize that walk under the socket lock or sk->sk_lock.slock, but tipc_poll() calls trace_tipc_sk_poll(..., TIPC_DUMP_ALL, ...) without holding either lock. That lets the poll trace path reach tipc_list_dump() and backlog head/tail dumping while another context dequeues and frees an skb, leaving the trace helper dereferencing a stale queue entry. Stop the unlocked poll trace site from requesting queue dumps. Other queue dump trace callsites keep their existing output under the locking they already provide, while poll still emits the event itself without walking live queue members from an unlocked context.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: fix QID bit leak in pqm_create_queue() When MES is enabled and amdgpu_amdkfd_alloc_kernel_mem() fails during the first queue creation for a process, pqm_create_queue() returns early via 'return retval' without going through the err_create_queue cleanup label. This means clear_bit(*qid, pqm->queue_slot_bitmap) is never called, leaving the reserved QID bit permanently set in queue_slot_bitmap. Over time this leaks QID slots, potentially exhausting all available queue slots. Fix this by replacing 'return retval' with 'goto err_allocate_pqn' so that clear_bit() is always called on the error path without touching the uninitialized pqn pointer. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: avoid destroy_workqueue(NULL) on vkms init failure Two paths through vmw_vkms_init() can leave vmw->crc_workq NULL while still leaving the rest of the driver in a state that calls vmw_vkms_cleanup() at module unload: 1. vmw_host_get_guestinfo(GUESTINFO_VBLANK, ...) failing or returning an oversized buffer -- the common case on hosts without a VBLANK guestinfo entry -- early-returned before the workqueue allocation. 2. alloc_ordered_workqueue() returning NULL on memory pressure. vmw_vkms_cleanup() then calls destroy_workqueue(NULL), which dereferences wq->name and panics. Fix the first case by removing the early return: vmw->vkms_enabled is already false on the rpci-failure path so no work will ever be queued, and allocating the workqueue unconditionally keeps the control flow simple. Fix the second case by guarding the cleanup with a NULL check, since alloc_ordered_workqueue() can still fail under low memory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: Don't move a peeked OOB message onto the pending queue rxrpc_recvmsg_oob() takes a received oob message off recvmsg_oobq and, if a response is needed, moves it onto the pending_oobq tree. However, only the unlink from recvmsg_oobq is guarded by MSG_PEEK; the move onto pending_oobq always runs. As a result, reading a challenge with MSG_PEEK leaves the skb on recvmsg_oobq while also adding it to pending_oobq. Since struct sk_buff's rbnode shares storage with its next and prev pointers, rb_insert_color() overwrites the list linkage, and the skb, which holds a single reference, becomes reachable from both queues at once. When the socket is closed both queues are drained in turn. While draining recvmsg_oobq, __skb_unlink() follows the next and prev pointers that rbnode has overwritten and writes to a bad address. Also, as the skb holds a single reference but is freed from each queue, both the skb and the connection reference it holds are released twice. This leads to memory corruption and to a use-after-free caused by the connection refcount underflow. MSG_PEEK does not consume the message from the queue, so

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dlm: fix add msg handle in send_queue ordered In a benchmark scenario triggering a lot of requests that triggers a lot of DLM messages on the network it can be that the mh->seq is not ordered according the oldest seq number. This ordering is required by dlm_receive_ack as "before(mh->seq, seq)" will stop to check for older sequence numbers that are ordered in the tail of "node->send_queue". The side effects of not having it correct ordered regarding "before(mh->seq, seq)" are refcounting issues and use-after free. I only was able to reproduce this issue in a experimental DLM branch and a user space DLM benchmark that uses io_uring. After changing this I don't experienced any refcounting with the sending buffer issues anymore.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: fix page fragment cache leak in error path In nvmet_tcp_alloc_queue(), when a connection is closed during the allocation process (e.g., nvmet_tcp_set_queue_sock() returns -ENOTCONN), the error handling jumps to out_destroy_sq and then to out_ida_remove without draining the page fragment cache. Although nvmet_tcp_free_cmd() is called in some error paths to release individual page fragments, the underlying page cache reference held by queue->pf_cache is never released. The first allocation using pf_cache is the call to nvmet_tcp_alloc_cmd() for queue->connect, which happens after ida_alloc() returns successfully. This results in a page leak each time a connection fails during allocation, which could lead to memory exhaustion over time if connections are repeatedly opened and closed. Fix this by calling page_frag_cache_drain() before freeing the queue structure in the out_ida_remove label.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: Clear variable event pointer on read snd_seq_read() copies a queued variable-length event header to userspace before expanding the payload. Queued variable-length events use SNDRV_SEQ_EXT_CHAINED internally, and data.ext.ptr points at the first extension cell. The read side strips SNDRV_SEQ_EXT_* bits from data.ext.len before the copy, but it leaves data.ext.ptr untouched. A userspace sequencer client can therefore write a direct variable event to itself and read back the extension-cell kernel address from the returned header. Clear the temporary header pointer before copy_to_user(). The original queued event remains unchanged and is still passed to snd_seq_expand_var_event(), so payload expansion keeps using the internal chain.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vhost/vdpa: validate virtqueue index in mmap and fault paths vhost_vdpa_mmap() and vhost_vdpa_fault() use vma->vm_pgoff as a virtqueue index for get_vq_notification(), but they do not validate that the index is smaller than v->nvqs. The ioctl path already performs both a bounds check and array_index_nospec(), but the mmap/fault path only checks that the index fits in u16. This allows an out-of-range queue index to reach driver-specific get_vq_notification() callbacks. Fix this by extracting a unified vhost_vdpa_get_vq_notification() helper that validates the queue index against v->nvqs and applies array_index_nospec() before calling the driver callback. Both the mmap and fault paths use this helper, and the bounds checking is consolidated into a single location. From source inspection, the most defensible impact is out-of-bounds access in the callback path, potentially leading to invalid PFN remaps and crash/DoS.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio: rtc: tear down old virtqueues before restore virtio_device_restore() resets the device and restores the negotiated features before calling ->restore(). viortc_freeze() intentionally leaves the existing virtqueues in place so the alarm queue can still wake the system, but viortc_restore() immediately calls viortc_init_vqs() without first deleting those old queues. If virtqueue reinitialization fails on virtio-pci, the transport error path can run vp_del_vqs() against a newly allocated vp_dev->vqs array while vdev->vqs still contains the old virtqueues. vp_del_vqs() then looks up queue state through the new array and can dereference a NULL info pointer in vp_del_vq(), crashing the guest kernel during restore. This can also happen during a non-faulty reinitialization, when one of the vp_find_vqs_msix() attempts is unsuccessful before a later attempt would succeed. Delete the stale virtqueues before rebuilding them. If restore fails before virtio_device_ready(), reuse the remove path to stop the device. Once the device is ready, return errors directly instead of deleting the virtqueues again.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: serialize netif_running() check in enqueue_to_backlog() Syzbot reported a KASAN slab-CVE-2026-72493 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.9
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: serialize netif_running() check in enqueue_to_backlog() Syzbot reported a KASAN slab-use-after-free in fib_rules_lookup(). The root cause is a race condition where packets can escape the backlog flushing during device unregistration (e.g., during netns exit). Commit e9e4dd3267d0 ("net: do not process device backlog during unregistration") introduced a lockless netif_running() check in enqueue_to_backlog() to prevent queuing packets to an unregistering device. However, this creates a TOCTOU race window. A lockless transmitter (like veth_xmit) can pass the check before dev_close() clears IFF_UP. If the transmitter is then delayed, flush_all_backlogs() can run and finish before the transmitter grabs the backlog lock and queues the packet. The packet then escapes the flush and triggers UAF later when processed. Fix this by moving the netif_running() check inside the backlog lock. This serializes the check with the flush work (which also grabs the lock). We then either queue the packet before the flush runs (so it gets flushed), or check netif_running() after the flush/close completes (so it gets dropped).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: Fix leak of SQ timestamp buffer on teardown The send-queue timestamp ring is allocated with qmem_alloc() when timestamping is used, but otx2_free_sq_res() never freed sq->timestamps, leaking that memory across ifdown and device removal. Add the missing qmem_free() alongside the other SQ companion buffers.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: udp_tunnel: prevent double queueing in udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync Yue Sun reported a CVE-2026-72405 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: udp_tunnel: prevent double queueing in udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync Yue Sun reported a use-after-free and debugobjects warning in udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync_work() during concurrent device operations. The workqueue core clears the internal pending bit before invoking the worker. At that point, a concurrent thread can queue the work again. When the already running worker eventually clears the work_pending flag to 0, it mistakenly clears the flag for the newly queued instance. udp_tunnel_nic_unregister() then observes work_pending as 0 and frees the structure while the second work item is still active in the queue, leading to UAF. Fix this by returning early in udp_tunnel_nic_device_sync() if work_pending is already set, preventing redundant work queueing.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: restrict socket queue dumps in enqueue tracepoints tipc_sk_enqueue() runs with sk->sCVE-2026-72299 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: restrict socket queue dumps in enqueue tracepoints tipc_sk_enqueue() runs with sk->sk_lock.slock held while the socket is owned by user context. The spinlock protects the backlog queue in this path, but it does not serialize against the socket owner consuming or purging sk_receive_queue. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
