  • Oct 19, 2026Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards.CVE-2026-111059 · Other software · mljar · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards. From 3.0.0 until 3.2.11, mr.Markdown converts attacker-controlled Markdown to HTML without sanitizing raw HTML before assigning it to an ipywidgets.HTML sink. Event-handler attributes and other active HTML can therefore reach the DOM and execute when another user views the application. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.11.

  • Oct 19, 2026Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards.CVE-2026-111058 · Other software · mljar · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards. Prior to 3.2.6, default tokenless deployments allow anonymous clients to create Jupyter kernels and send execute_request messages containing arbitrary Python. The endpoint blocklist does not cover /api/kernels, and the websocket wrapper previously tracked idle activity without authorizing executable messages. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.6.

  • Oct 19, 2026Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards.CVE-2026-111057 · Other software · mljar · reported by GitHubCritical 10

Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards. From 3.0.0 until 3.2.4, a missing comma in BLOCKED_PATTERNS concatenates the /lab and /api/terminals regular-expression literals. Requests to /api/terminals therefore bypass the anonymous endpoint blocklist and reach Jupyter Server's terminal API. An unauthenticated attacker can use the resulting interactive operating-system shell to execute commands and access data available to the Mercury process. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.4.

  • Oct 16, 2026Claude Agent SDK is a Python SDK for Claude Code.CVE-2026-96620 · Other software · anthropics · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

Claude Agent SDK is a Python SDK for Claude Code. Prior to 0.2.121, the resume option is passed to the Claude CLI as a separate token without validation, so a dash-leading value is parsed as an independent CLI flag. An attacker can inject the --mcp-config flag to define a stdio MCP server, causing arbitrary command execution at CLI startup outside the SDK permission controls. The issue is exploitable when an application passes untrusted input as the session ID to resume. This issue is fixed in version 0.2.121.

  • Oct 15, 2026Python Social Auth is a social authentication/registration mechanism.CVE-2026-62322 · Other software · python-social-auth · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Python Social Auth is a social authentication/registration mechanism. Prior to 5.0.2, the LINE backend exchanges an authorization code without validating the returned OAuth state. An attacker can begin authorization for an attacker-controlled LINE account and induce a victim to visit the resulting callback URL, causing the application to log the victim into the attacker's account. When account linking is enabled, the same missing validation can link the attacker's LINE identity to the victim's existing account and create a persistent unauthorized login path. Only applications with the LINE backend enabled are affected. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.2.

  • Oct 15, 2026joserfc is a Python library that provides an implementation of several JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards.CVE-2026-102946 · Other software · authlib · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

joserfc is a Python library that provides an implementation of several JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE) standards. Prior to 1.7.4, joserfc.jws.deserialize_json() accepts a JWS General JSON Serialization with an empty signatures array as authenticated. The verify_general_json() loop performs no iterations for the empty array and returns success because no signature check failed, allowing an attacker without a signing key to supply an arbitrary payload that relying applications may treat as authentic. The issue affects the General JSON Serialization path; compact JWS and JWT decoding, Flattened JSON serialization, and JWE JSON processing do not follow this vulnerable path. Pipecat is an open-source Python framework for building real-time voice and multimodal conversational agents. From 0.0.98 until 1.6.0, the pipecat-ai package's built-in development runner exposes unauthenticated endpoints including /start, /daily, and /daily-dialin-webhook that can create bot sessions and Daily rooms. The runner binds to localhost by default and is intended only for local development, so exploitation requires an operator to expose it to untrusted traffic through --host 0.0.0.0, a published port, or a tunnel without access controls. An unauthenticated caller can consume local resources and third-party quotas and, depending on configuration, receive a room URL and join token. Version 1.6.0 adds a prominent development-runner banner and documentation that clarifies the unauthenticated boundary and directs production deployments to an authenticated dispatcher or managed runtime, while the endpoint behavior remains by design. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.

  • Oct 14, 2026The Model Context Protocol Python SDK is the official Python SDK for Model Context Protocol servers and clients.CVE-2026-109527 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

The Model Context Protocol Python SDK is the official Python SDK for Model Context Protocol servers and clients. In mcp versions before 1.29.1 and from 2.0.0a1 through 2.0.1, the Streamable HTTP session manager, SSE message endpoint, and OAuth authorization-server routes buffer complete HTTP request bodies without enforcing a maximum size. An unauthenticated remote client able to reach an affected endpoint can send a large declared or streamed request body that consumes multiple times the body size in process memory and can repeatedly exhaust memory or terminate the server. Stdio-only servers and deployments with an effective upstream request-size limit are not affected, and applications that use StreamableHTTPServerTransport directly remain responsible for enforcing their own limit. The standard SDK server applications and session managers are fixed in versions 1.29.1 and 2.1.0.

  • Oct 14, 2026The MCP Python SDK, called mcp on PyPI, is a Python implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP).CVE-2026-59951 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

The MCP Python SDK, called mcp on PyPI, is a Python implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP). From 1.8.0 until 1.30.0 and 2.2.0, stateful Streamable HTTP servers, including FastMCP, MCPServer, Server.streamable_http_app(), and StreamableHTTPSessionManager, retain session entries without an idle expiration or aggregate session-count limit. DELETE, refused opening requests, and completed sessions do not reliably discard their entries, and each entry can retain parsed initialize parameters. A client that can reach the endpoint can therefore create ordinary short requests that grow server memory without bound until restart. Stateless HTTP, stdio, and SSE transports are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.30.0 and 2.2.0.

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.7.14, in the default non-safe mode, mise loads .mise.toml [settings] from an untrusted local project before trust approval and strip_local_only_settings removes only fields marked global_only. The unix_default_file_shell_args, unix_default_inline_shell_args, windows_default_file_shell_args, and windows_default_inline_shell_args settings were not marked global_only, allowing a repository to replace the default interpreter arguments used by trusted tasks that have no explicit shell, postinstall directives, template exec operations, or hooks that fall back to the default shell. When mise appends the trusted command after the attacker-controlled interpreter arguments, the attacker-selected command can execute first with the developer account's privileges even though the local configuration was never trusted. The separate path-sanitization hardening note in the advisory is outside this vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 2026.7.14.

A crafted name can terminate the string literal and inject statements into the generated class body, which execute when the generated module is imported. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by escaping schema values rendered into generated string literals.

  • Oct 13, 2026OAuthLib is an implementation of the OAuth request-signing logic for Python 3.6+.CVE-2026-49265 · Other software · oauthlib · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

OAuthLib is an implementation of the OAuth request-signing logic for Python 3.6+. From 3.0.0 until 4.0.0, OAuthLib's PKCE checks in oauthlib/oauth2/rfc6749/grant_types/authorization_code.py compare attacker-supplied code_verifier values with stored challenges using ordinary string equality in code_challenge_method_plain and code_challenge_method_s256. Because the comparison can return after a length difference or the first mismatching character, repeated token endpoint measurements can reveal common-prefix timing information that could potentially allow recovery of the code_verifier, unauthorized access-token acquisition, and account takeover. Practical exploitation requires an intercepted, single-use authorization code and enough measurements to overcome real-world network noise; the local timing benchmark does not establish practical remote account takeover, so the weakness remains a defense-in-depth concern. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0.

OAuthLib is an implementation of the OAuth request-signing logic for Python 3.6+. From 0.6.1 until 4.0.0, OAuthLib's RevocationEndpoint in oauthlib/oauth2/rfc6749/endpoints/revocation.py reflects an unvalidated callback request parameter into success and error response bodies when enable_jsonp=True. The callback can come from the query string or request body and is used without restricting it to a legal JavaScript function name. A browser application that loads the revocation response as trusted JSONP and permits attacker influence over callback can therefore execute attacker-controlled JavaScript in the including application's origin, with access to its DOM and script-accessible data. The feature is disabled by default, so only deployments that explicitly enable JSONP are affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0.

asteval is a Python expression evaluator designed for restricted execution. Prior to 1.0.9, in asteval/astutils.py, the default Interpreter with numpy enabled exposes a ctypes type and permits from_address memory access. safe_getattr blocks the ctypes module but not reachable ctypes type objects, while attribute assignments use unfiltered setattr instead of safe_setattr. An attacker-controlled expression can derive an address with id, read memory through from_address, and write through an attribute assignment. The expression can read or corrupt arbitrary process memory, escape the intended sandbox, execute code, disclose secrets, or crash the host process. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.9.

  • Oct 9, 2026Shiny for Python is a framework for building interactive web applications in Python.CVE-2026-108258 · Other software · posit-dev · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Shiny for Python is a framework for building interactive web applications in Python. From 1.4.0 until 1.6.4, bookmark restore accepts a client-supplied state_id and joins it into the server-side shiny_bookmarks directory without validating that it is a single safe path segment. An unauthenticated request can use parent-directory segments or an absolute path to make the server open input.json and values.json outside the bookmark store, even when bookmark_store is set to disable. In applications configured with bookmark_store set to server and using ui.input_file(), the restore handler can additionally copy and expose an attacker-selected file from an attacker-selected directory. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.4.

  • Oct 9, 2026pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python.CVE-2026-75597 · Other software · pyload · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev101, the `/web/<path:filename>` route in `src/pyload/webui/app/blueprints/app_blueprint.py` renders Jinja2 templates without any authentication requirement. Every equivalent direct route (`/logs`, `/settings`, `/queue`, `/dashboard`, etc.) is protected by `@login_required`, but the underlying templates for all of these pages are accessible unauthenticated via this endpoint. Combined with an exception attribute typo in `src/pyload/webui/app/handlers.py` (`exc.desc` instead of `exc.description`), internal Jinja2 variable names are leaked in HTTP 500 response bodies to unauthenticated callers. An attacker can also enumerate all valid template names by observing 200 vs 500 response differentiation. Version 0.5.0b3.dev101 contains a patch.

pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev101, the API `rpc` function in `api_blueprint.py` handles `multipart/form-data` uploads by reading the whole content of the uploaded file into memory with `file.read()`. This occurs before the data is sent to the underlying function. • Oct 8, 2026datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions.CVE-2026-107377 · Other software · datamodel-code-generator · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. From 0.59.0 until 0.81.0, an attacker-controlled Protobuf schema can supply absolute or parent-directory paths captured by WEAK_IMPORT_PATTERN and consumed by _write_missing_weak_imports in src/datamodel_code_generator/parser/protobuf.py. Exploitation requires a victim or automated job to process the attacker-controlled schema with Protobuf input support, which requires the grpcio-tools package. The paths escape the weak_imports temporary directory before protoc runs, allowing creation of directory trees and new files or overwrite of existing writable files with a generated Protobuf syntax declaration. The effect persists when later Protobuf compilation fails. The written content is limited to a proto2 or proto3 syntax declaration, and direct arbitrary code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 0.81.0.
