May 14, 2026Symlink following in PostgreSQL pg_basebackup plain format and in pg_rewind allows an origin superuser to overwrite local files, e.g.CVE-2026-6475 · Other software · Postgresql · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 8.8
Symlink following in PostgreSQL pg_basebackup plain format and in pg_rewind allows an origin superuser to overwrite local files, e.g. /var/lib/postgres/.bashrc, that hijack the operating system account. It will remain the case that starting the server after these commands implicitly trusts the origin superuser, due to features like shared_preload_libraries. Hence, the attack has practical implications only if one takes relevant action between these commands and server start, like moving the files to a different VM or snapshotting the VM. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.4, 17.10, 16.14, 15.18, and 14.23 are affected.

May 12, 2026The superduper project thru v0.10.0 contains a critical remote code execution vulnerability in its query parsing component.CVE-2026-31225 · Other software · reported by MITREHigh 8.8
The superduper project thru v0.10.0 contains a critical remote code execution vulnerability in its query parsing component. The _parse_op_part() function in query.py uses the unsafe eval() function to dynamically evaluate user-supplied query operands without proper sanitization or restriction. Although the function attempts to limit the execution context by providing a restricted global namespace, it does not block access to dangerous built-in functions. A remote attacker can exploit this by submitting a specially crafted query string containing Python code that imports modules (e.g., os) and executes arbitrary system commands, leading to complete compromise of the server.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: minix: Add required sanity checking to minix_check_superblock() The fs/minix implementation of the minix filesystem does not currently support any other value for s_log_zone_size than 0. This is also the only value supported in util-linux; see mkfs.minix.c line 511. In addition, this patch adds some sanity checking for the other minix superblock fields, and moves the minix_blocks_needed() checks for the zmap and imap also to minix_check_super_block(). May 1, 2026AGL app-framework-binder (afb-daemon) through v19.90.0 allows any local process to execute privileged supervision commands (Exit, Do, Sclose, Config, Trace, DebCVE-2026-37526 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linuxfoundation · reported by MITREHigh 7.8
AGL app-framework-binder (afb-daemon) through v19.90.0 allows any local process to execute privileged supervision commands (Exit, Do, Sclose, Config, Trace, Debug, Token, slist) without authentication via the abstract Unix socket @urn:AGL:afs:supervision:socket. The on_supervision_call function in src/afb-supervision.c dispatches all 8 commands without any credential verification. The abstract socket has no DAC protection, as acknowledged in the official CAUTION comment in src/afs-supervision.h. This allows a low-privileged local process to kill the daemon (DoS via Exit command), execute arbitrary API calls (via Do command), close arbitrary user sessions (via Sclose command), or leak the entire global configuration (via Config command). The vulnerability was introduced in commit b8c9d5de384efcfa53ebdb3f0053d7b3723777e1 on 2017-06-29.

May 1, 2026AGL app-framework-binder (afb-daemon) through v19.90.0 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability in the supervision Do command.CVE-2026-37525 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linuxfoundation · reported by MITREHigh 7.8
AGL app-framework-binder (afb-daemon) through v19.90.0 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability in the supervision Do command. The on_supervision_call function in src/afb-supervision.c explicitly nullifies the request credentials by calling afb_context_change_cred(&xreq->context, NULL) before dispatching an attacker-controlled API call via xapi->itf->call(xapi->closure, xreq). The NULL propagation chain through afb-context.c:110 (context->credentials = afb_cred_addref(NULL)) and afb-cred.c:163 (returns NULL when cred is NULL) confirms that credentials are zeroed before the target API executes. The attacker controls both api and verb parameters via JSON input, allowing execution of any registered API with a NULL credential context. APIs that rely on context->credentials for authorization decisions may fail open when receiving NULL credentials, enabling privilege escalation. This vulnerability was introduced in commit abbb4599f0b921c6f434b6bd02bcfb277eecf745 on 2018-02-14.

In practice on the public Internet, almost all users changed the password but only about 90% changed the token. Having a default token value was intentional and was valuable for the main intended use case of the netbox-docker product (isolated development networks). Some users engaged in an effort to repurpose netbox-docker for production. The documentation for this effort stated that the defaults must not be used. However, installation did not ensure non-default values. The Supplier was aware of the CVE ID assignment and did not object to the assignment.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: romfs: check sb_set_blocksize() return value romfs_fill_super() ignores the return value of sb_set_blocksize(), which can fail if the requested block size is incompatible with the block device's configuration. This can be triggered by setting a loop device's block size larger than PAGE_SIZE using ioctl(LOOP_SET_BLOCK_SIZE, 32768), then mounting a romfs filesystem on that device. When sb_set_blocksize(sb, ROMBSIZE) is called with ROMBSIZE=4096 but the device has logical_block_size=32768, bdev_validate_blocksize() fails because the requested size is smaller than the device's logical block size. sb_set_blocksize() returns 0 (failure), but romfs ignores this and continues mounting. The superblock's block size remains at the device's logical block size (32768). Later, when sb_bread() attempts I/O with this oversized block size, it triggers a kernel BUG in folio_set_bh(): kernel BUG at fs/buffer.c:1582! BUG_ON(size > PAGE_SIZE); Fix by checking the return value of sb_set_blocksize() and failing the mount with -EINVAL if it returns 0.

The /root/anaconda-ks.cfg installation configuration file in International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) SFX Series(SFX2100) SuperFlex Satellite Receiver insecurely stores the hardcoded root password hash. The password itself is highly insecure and susceptible to offline dictionary attacks using the rockyou.txt wordlist. Because direct root SSH login is disabled, an attacker must first obtain low-privileged access to the system (e.g., via other vulnerabilities) to be able to log in as the root user. The password is hardcoded and so allows for an actor with local access on effected versions to escalate to root

International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) SFX Series SuperFlex Satellite Receiver contains undocumented, hardcoded/insecure credentials for the `xd` user account. A remote unauthenticated attacker can log in via FTP using these credentials. Because the `xd` user has write permissions to their home directory where root-executed binaries and symlinks (such as those invoked by `xdstartstop`) are stored, the attacker can overwrite these files or manipulate symlinks to achieve arbitrary code execution as the root user.

Feb 14, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: sync read disk super and set block size When the user performs a btrfs mount, the bCVE-2026-23181 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: sync read disk super and set block size When the user performs a btrfs mount, the block device is not set correctly. The user sets the block size of the block device to 0x4000 by executing the BLKBSZSET command. Since the block size change also changes the mapping->flags value, this further affects the result of the mapping_min_folio_order() calculation. Let's analyze the following two scenarios: Scenario 1: Without executing the BLKBSZSET command, the block size is 0x1000, and mapping_min_folio_order() returns 0; Scenario 2: After executing the BLKBSZSET command, the block size is 0x4000, and mapping_min_folio_order() returns 2. do_read_cache_folio() allocates a folio before the BLKBSZSET command is executed. This results in the allocated folio having an order value of 0. Later, after BLKBSZSET is executed, the block size increases to 0x4000, and the mapping_min_folio_order() calculation result becomes 2. This leads to two undesirable consequences: 1. filemap_add_folio() triggers a VM_BUG_ON_FOLIO(folio_order(folio) < mapping_min_folio_order(mapping)) assertion. 2. The syzbot report [1] shows a nul
