SiYuan 3.6.0 before 3.8.7 accepts and persists the networkServeTLS setting but never enforces it, so the kernel port keeps serving full API access over plain HTTP alongside HTTPS. Network-adjacent attackers can sniff the cleartext login flow and session cookie, which lacks the Secure attribute while responses omit HSTS, to hijack kernel API sessions.

  • Oct 23, 2026Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+.CVE-2026-83813 · Other software · twisted · reported by GitHubLow 3.1

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, twisted.names.dns.DNSDatagramProtocol accepts a UDP DNS response for a pending query when its 16-bit transaction ID matches but does not verify that the response came from the queried host and port. An attacker able to deliver a packet to the resolver's listening port with the correct transaction ID can inject a forged answer. The standard twisted.names.client.Resolver uses a new random source port for each query, increasing off-path attack complexity, while applications that reuse a DNSDatagramProtocol instance expose only the transaction-ID search space after the first query. A successful forgery can redirect hostname resolution and enable mail interception, server-side request forgery, or man-in-the-middle positioning. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, twisted.web.http.HTTPChannel.headerReceived rejects a NUL byte in an HTTP header value but accepts a bare carriage return or bare line feed. Because Twisted splits header lines only on CRLF, a hidden Content-Length header can remain folded into another value while a lenient front end treats the bare character as a line terminator. The resulting framing disagreement can smuggle a following request past front-end access controls, poison a shared connection or cache, and expose a later client to the wrong response. This issue is an incomplete-fix residual of earlier Twisted request-smuggling protections. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, twisted.conch.telnet.Telnet.dataReceived appends every byte received after IAC SB to a persistent subnegotiation buffer until IAC SE is received, without applying a maximum length. Telnet option negotiation occurs before authentication, so an unauthenticated peer can omit the terminator and continuously grow the buffer. The resulting memory exhaustion can terminate the process and every service it hosts. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, twisted.words.protocols.irc.IRC.dataReceived retains all bytes received without a line feed in its per-connection buffer and applies no maximum line length. The twisted.words.service.IRCUser server subclass inherits this behavior, and buffering occurs before PASS, NICK, or USER authentication commands. An unauthenticated connection can continuously grow the buffer until the shared server process runs out of memory and drops all users. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, the twisted.words.xish.domish ExpatElementStream parser allows an unauthenticated remote peer to keep a container element open while continuously adding child elements. The parser retains the unfinished stanza as an in-memory tree without a byte or element-count limit, and XMPP pre-authentication stream parsing exposes this behavior before credentials are accepted. A single connection can therefore exhaust server memory and terminate the process. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.

Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, twisted.mail.imap4.IMAP4Server reaches twisted.mail.imap4.parseNestedParens with a negative literal size in an authenticated SEARCH command after the client enters the selected mailbox state. The negative size moves the parser cursor below zero, and Python's negative indexing prevents the synchronous scanning loop from terminating. The loop freezes the single-threaded reactor, stopping other IMAP connections and any SMTP or POP3 services hosted in the same process until restart. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1.

If an attacker can write to the filesystem of a container k8s cluster container, they can plant an exec credential plugin in /etc/kubernetes/admin.conf. kubectl will run that plugin as the macOS host user the next time someone pulls the cluster's kubeconfig onto the host with container k8s write-config or create and then runs kubectl against it — turning filesystem access inside an untrusted Linux container into arbitrary command execution on the host. The DNS stub resolver in subsys/net/lib/dns/resolve.c binds one UDP socket per configured server when the resolver context is initialised (dns_resolve_init_locked() -> register_dispatcher() -> dns_dispatcher_register()), with the local port left at 0 so the stack picks an ephemeral port exactly once. dns_write() then sends every subsequent query from that same socket without re-binding, so the source port is constant for the lifetime of the resolver context while only the 16-bit transaction identifier (ctx->queries[i].id, drawn with sys_rand16_get()) varies per query. RFC 5452 section 9.2 requires both to vary; with a fixed port, an off-path attacker has to guess only the identifier. The stable port is cheap to learn. Any single observed query reveals it permanently, and it can also be found by probing the ephemeral UDP range: subsys/net/ip/connection.c answers unmatched unicast UDP with an ICMP port-unreachable, so the resolver's socket is the one port in that range that stays silent. Acceptance of a reply is decided solely by get_slot_by_id() matching the transaction identifier and a CRC-16 of the queried name — the reply's source address is never checked (dispatcher_cb() does A

The DHCPv4 client in subsys/net/lib/dhcpv4/dhcpv4.c maintained its transaction identifier (iface->config.dhcpv4.xid) as a counter rather than as a per-transaction random value. It was seeded once with sys_rand32_get() in dhcpv4_start_internal(), incremented by one in dhcpv4_send_discover() and dhcpv4_send_decline(), and never changed by dhcpv4_send_request() — so every RENEWING and REBINDING exchange reused, unchanged, the identifier that had already appeared on the wire in the broadcast DHCPDISCOVER at boot, and where the identifier did move it moved predictably by one. RFC 2131 4.1 requires a single identifier per transaction, chosen so that clients are unlikely to collide. This identifier is the client's only unpredictable reply-validation token. net_dhcpv4_input() accepts a BOOTP reply on op, a matching xid, and a matching chaddr (the interface MAC, which is public); the UDP callback is registered with a wildcard remote address and port, and no server-identifier or source-address check is applied. • Oct 23, 2026The WireGuard VPN service in subsys/net/lib/wireguard/wg.c updated the peer endpoint from a message it could not authenticate.CVE-2026-79977 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.2

The WireGuard VPN service in subsys/net/lib/wireguard/wg.c updated the peer endpoint from a message it could not authenticate. In handle_transport_data(), when the 32-bit receiver index of an incoming transport-data message matched no session, the code both scheduled a new handshake and copied the datagram's source address into peer->endpoint with memcpy(&peer->endpoint, peer_addr, sizeof(peer->endpoint)). Because the receiver index is unknown, there is no key with which such a message could be verified, so the address written into peer->endpoint is entirely attacker-supplied. Every other endpoint update in the implementation happens only after authentication — after the Noise handshake in handle_handshake_init(), or after AEAD decryption plus the anti-replay check in wg_process_data_message(). The WireGuard listener is registered with net_udp_register() using no remote address or port filter and defaults to UDP port 51820 (CONFIG_WIREGUARD_PORT), and wg_ctrl_recv() resolves the peer by interface rather than by any cryptographic identity. Any host able to send a UDP datagram to that port can therefore reach the defect off-path, with no need to observe legitimate traffic: a 16-byte

J01NME is the example Joining Device Credential used throughout the public OpenThread and Thread commissioning documentation, including Zephyr's own samples/net/sockets/echo_client/README.rst, so it is not a secret. A firmware image built with CONFIG_OPENTHREAD_JOINER_AUTOSTART=y that never overrode the PSKd therefore shipped with a publicly known joining credential compiled in, with no build-time or run-time warning. A cross-site request forgery vulnerability in the OAuth extension of Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) Network Edition allows an attacker to link an attacker-controlled external account to a victim's mailbox. The OAuth callback does not bind its state value or authorization code to the initiating Zimbra session and instead selects the destination mailbox from the browser's current authentication cookie. On a deployment with the provider configured, an attacker can induce a signed-in victim to load a callback containing a fresh code for the attacker's provider account. This creates a persistent data source that imports attacker-controlled contacts or events. With bidirectional CalDAV synchronization, appointments subsequently created or edited in the linked calendar are also disclosed to the attacker. ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.20 are affected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Prevent stale XSK buffer release on refill retry When an XDP redirect to an AF_XDP socket fails because its RX ring is full, the XSK core frees the buffer. During the subsequent batched refill of a legacy cyclic RQ, mlx5e also releases the WQE's XSK buffer before allocating a replacement. If that refill succeeds only partially, a WQE left without a replacement retains its old buffer pointer. The buffer can meanwhile be allocated to another WQE. A later refill retry can then free the live buffer through the stale pointer and publish the same UMEM frame twice. Mark the WQE as released immediately after the driver-side free. The flag is already cleared when a replacement buffer is assigned, so refill retries no longer release stale pointers. The failure is silent and produces no kernel warning or splat. A standalone legacy cyclic-RQ zero-copy libxsk reproducer, using 64-byte UDP traffic offered at 12 Mpps, detected it: stock stopped after 2,854,914 packets in 4.094 seconds, with 4,542 xdp_rx_ring_full events and 64 ownership/double-publication errors. • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Prevent stale XSK buffer release on MPWQE refill retry With AF_XDP on a stridinCVE-2026-99078 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Prevent stale XSK buffer release on MPWQE refill retry With AF_XDP on a striding RQ, mlx5e defers releasing XSK buffers until an MPWQE is refilled. If XSK allocation then returns -ENOMEM, actual_wq_head is not advanced and a later NAPI poll retries the same WQE. mlx5e_free_rx_mpwqe() leaves each released slot marked as releasable. On retry it can therefore call xsk_buff_free() again through stale pointers after the frames have returned to the XSK pool and been reallocated. Set all skip_release_bitmap bits in the common error path of mlx5e_xsk_alloc_rx_mpwqe(). This matches mlx5e_alloc_rx_mpwqe(). A successful allocation already clears the bitmap after replacing every buffer, so retries become idempotent without changing the success path. Fault injection forced three consecutive failures for one selected MPWQE. Both an early allocation failure and a partial 8-of-16-buffer unwind released the original 16 XSK buffers only once. Each error left a full bitmap, the following NAPI retry skipped the release, and a later successful allocation cleared it. A 20-second AF_XDP zero-copy pressure run exercised 1,

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: stop PMTU walk when nexthop group shrinks Commit 7d3f3b4367f3 ("net: ipv4: Cache pmtu for all packet paths if multipath enabled") made __ip_rt_update_pmtu() update every path. For nexthop objects, fib_info_num_path() and fib_info_nhc() independently load nh->nh_grp. RCU protects each group's lifetime but does not make the loads observe the same group. If replacement shrinks the group after the loop accepts an index, fib_info_nhc() returns NULL and update_or_create_fnhe() dereferences it. That path moves what's left on tmpq to errq to be freed, but the skb being filled was already dequeued from tmpq, so it's never freed. Each chain that overflows leaks the skb and the pages attached to it as frags, and the backend decides how many slots it sends. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/net: populate CONNECT filter fields for 24-byte sockaddr_in6 io_connect_bpf_populate() fills connect.port and connect.v6_addr for AF_INET6 only when addr_len >= sizeof(struct sockaddr_in6), i.e. 28 bytes. The IPv6 connect paths accept SIN6_LEN_RFC2133 (24 bytes), which already holds sin6_port and sin6_addr. io_connect() passes addr_len to the socket layer unchanged. At addr_len 24 the filter sees family AF_INET6 with port and address zero, while the kernel connects to the real destination. A filter that denies an IPv6 port or address is bypassed. Denying connect.port == P rejects [::1]:P with -EACCES at addr_len 28 but connects at addr_len 24. Use SIN6_LEN_RFC2133 as the threshold. sin6_scope_id stays zero when absent. The threshold mismatch was found by an AI coding assistant (Claude Code) comparing this hook against the net/ipv6 length checks on my instructions; it also drafted the reproducer and this patch. I verified the bypass and the fix in a VM on 7.3-rc6 and that 7.2 has the same code.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/packet: guard the ll header push in packet_rcv_spkt() packet_rcv_spkt() restores the link layer header with skb_push(skb, skb->data - skb_mac_header(skb)); That subtraction is only meaningful when the device actually has a link layer header. packet_rcv() and tpacket_rcv() both wrap it in dev_has_header(), which is also the predicate the block comment at the top of the file states the restore in terms of; packet_rcv_spkt() does not. commit d549699048b4 ("net/packet: fix packet receive on L3 devices without visible hard header") introduced the helper and changed the two call sites, and this one stayed behind. A device without a visible ll header can leave skb->mac_header at the 0xFFFF sentinel that __alloc_skb() initialises it to. A CAN skb does: init_can_skb() sets pkt_type and ip_summed but does not reset the headers, and commit 9f10374bb024 ("can: remove private CAN skb headroom infrastructure") dropped the skb_reset_*_header() calls that used to be there. skb_mac_header() is then 0xFFFF, the length becomes a large negative number and skb_push() reports it through skb_under_panic() -- from softirq co

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: protect clcsock lifetime in smc_getname smc_getname() dereferences smc->clcsock without holding clcsock_release_lock. Link-group termination can release the CLC socket through smc_close_active_abort() while the SMC socket is still open, for example after shutdown(SHUT_WR). A getsockname() caller can load smc->clcsock, then the termination worker can clear the pointer and call sock_release() before the caller accesses clcsock->ops or invokes getname(). This causes a use-after-free; if the worker clears the pointer before the load, it causes a NULL dereference. The syscall's file reference keeps the SMC socket alive but does not prevent asynchronous release of its CLC socket. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: avoid recursive multicast port cleanup br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports() removes automatically added STAR_EXCL port groups by calling br_multicast_del_pg(). For S,G entries, that deletion calls back into br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports(), so a large number of STAR_EXCL ports consumes one kernel stack frame per port and can hit the stack guard page. Keep the complete port-group deletion path for cleanup, but suppress the S,G exclude-port cleanup while that helper is already walking the same entry. Normal deletion callers retain the existing behavior.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: skbuff: don't leave stale bytes in skb_copy_and_csum_bits() When skb_copy_and_csum_bits() reaches unreadable frags it returns 0 after copying only the linear part, and the rest of the caller's buffer is left as it was. The callers copy into a buffer that is about to go out on the wire: an ICMP error quoting the offending packet, or a driver's TX bounce buffer in skb_copy_and_csum_dev(). Neither buffer is zeroed beforehand, so whatever was in memory there gets sent. Zero the part of the buffer we didn't fill. The checksum usually won't match the data any more, so the receiver will usually drop the packet, but either way it no longer carries anything it shouldn't. Only zero for a positive @len, a negative one from a broken caller must not turn into a huge memset().

Free the entry after unlinking it. The leak was discovered by an AI code review agent, and reproduced with kmemleak on a lan969x EV board (EV23X71A) by repeatedly adding and deleting matchall mirror and goto filters. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: xilinx: axienet: Free outstanding DMA buffers on dmaengine stop In the dmaengine path the driver pre-submits RX buffers and holds in-flight TX buffers whose SKBs are DMA-mapped by the driver and freed only in the completion callbacks. On ndo_stop() dmaengine_terminate_sync() aborts these descriptors without running their callbacks, and the driver then frees only the ring shells, leaking every SKB still owned by the engine and its DMA mapping on each ifdown. With 128 RX buffers pre-posted per channel, the mapping leak can eventually exhaust a limited IOMMU aperture. Clear the slot's skb in the TX and RX callbacks so a non-NULL skb marks a slot that still owns a live, DMA-mapped buffer, and on stop unmap and free every such buffer. axienet_dma_rx_cb() runs from the DMA tasklet and re-arms the RX ring on each completion, so it can race axienet_stop(): a completion may submit a fresh buffer after dmaengine_terminate_sync() has returned, leaving the channel armed with a buffer the teardown then frees while the engine may still write into it (dma_release_channel() does not stop it either). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openvswitch: fix soft lockup in the netlink flow dump A production compute node carrying a few thousand datapath flows hit a soft lockup inside a single netlink flow dump and panicked. ovs_flow_cmd_dump() calls ovs_flow_stats_get() for every flow it emits, and that releases stats->lock with spin_unlock_bh() once per CPU that has touched the flow. Every release is a local_bh_enable(), and each one runs the pending softirq backlog in the dumping thread's own context. The skb bounds the flows one callback emits, but not the softirq work it absorbs. On a CPU that carries the box's packet load the backlog refills as fast as it drains, so the dumping thread becomes that CPU's softirq engine. It never sleeps and it has no reschedule point, so under voluntary preemption nothing can take the CPU away from it: neither the ksoftirqd the kernel woke to take the work over, nor the stopper thread the softlockup detector dispatches to refresh its timestamp. Hold BH off across the whole callback instead, the way ctnetlink_dump_table() does, so the nested spin_unlock_bh() stop draining softirqs. The loop already runs under rcu

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: em_text: reject unterminated algo before autoload This is a follow-up to commit 9c572a83037a ("net/sched: fix potential stack infoleak in em_text_dump()"), which zero-initialised the dump-side struct. Sashiko pointed at a pre-existing bug that exposed the change-side input-validation gap open. em_text_change() casts the raw netlink attribute payload to struct tcf_em_text and passes conf->algo, a 16-byte array with no enforced NUL terminator, to textsearch_prepare(). On the TS_AUTOLOAD retry textsearch_prepare() calls request_module("ts_%s", algo); vsnprintf() walks %s until it finds a NUL, so an algo[] with no NUL reads past the array into the adjacent struct fields and payload and feeds those bytes to the usermode helper command line. This is an out-of-bounds read and a kernel memory disclosure. Reject the attribute when no NUL exists within TC_EM_TEXT_ALGOSIZ bytes, matching the check xt_string has had since 3ab720881b6e. Conditions to recreate the bug: - CAP_NET_ADMIN on the target netns (namespace-local via unshare -Urn is enough) - install clsact on an interface, then add a basic filter wit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: always dissect GSO packets in __virtio_net_hdr_to_skb() Commit 9e8db5913264 ("net: avoid false positives in untrusted gso validation") added a '&& skb->network_header' check before flow-dissecting GSO packets without VIRTIO_NET_HDR_F_NEEDS_CSUM in __virtio_net_hdr_to_skb(), because some callers (such as tun_get_user(), tun_xdp_one(), virtnet_receive_done(), and raw_verify_header()) called virtio_net_hdr_*_to_skb() before initializing skb->network_header and skb->dev. Because __alloc_skb() and __build_skb_around() zero-initialize skb->network_header to 0 (unlike mac_header and transport_header which are initialized to ~0U), those four callers always had skb->network_header == 0 and bypassed flow dissection in __virtio_net_hdr_to_skb(). More generally, skb->network_header is an offset from skb->head (where 0 is also a valid offset whenever skb_headroom(skb) is 0), not a boolean flag. Whenever the 'if (gso_type && skb->network_header)' branch was skipped, the fallback 'else if (gso_type)' only pulled nh_min_len + thlen (40 bytes for TCPv4) without dissecting the packet, without validating ip_proto or n_proto,

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: macsec: initialize SecY before registering the netdevice Creating a MACsec device with MAC offload over an LRO-capable lower device triggers a warning in rtmsg_ifinfo_build_skb() when IPv4 forwarding is enabled by default. register_netdevice() invokes inetdev_init(), which disables LRO and emits a NETDEV_FEAT_CHANGE notification. This reaches macsec_fill_info() before macsec_add_dev() initializes the SecY. key_len is still zero, so macsec_fill_info() returns -EMSGSIZE and trips the WARN_ON in rtmsg_ifinfo_build_skb(), even though the skb has enough space. Even without the warning, notifications during registration can report uninitialized SecY attributes, including the SCI. This ordering has existed since the driver was introduced. Initialize the SecY and apply the new-link attributes before registration. Move MAC address inheritance into macsec_newlink() so the SCI can also be initialized before registration-time notifications report it. Move the per-CPU statistics and metadata destination allocation into ndo_init(), and release partial allocations on failure.

Writeback is part of memory reclaim and must not fail due to ENOMEM, so it allocates under GFP_NOFS through mempool_alloc(), which may dip into the pool's reserve and, if that runs empty, wait for elements to be returned. These fields are not restored on failure, so RX can be restarted with the old pages, old FDMA state and old page pool, but with the page geometry from the failed new MTU. This can make the XDP path advertise a frame size derived from the new page_order while the actual RX pages still come from the old allocation. For example, after a failed reload to a jumbo MTU, xdp_init_buff() may be called with a frame size larger than the restored RX pages. lan966x_fdma_rx_alloc_page_pool() also registers the newly allocated page pool with each port's XDP RXQ before fdma_alloc_coherent() is called. If fdma_alloc_coherent() fails, the new page pool is destroyed, but the rollback path does not restore the per-port XDP RXQ mem model registration either. Save and restore rx->

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: mark the rcu locked areas properly When we bump the uref counter, there's no need to keep the rcu lock because the referred hash table can't disappear. Also, from the same reason in mtype_gc we need the rcu lock and not a spinlock.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: HWS, Handle destroying table that has a miss table If a table has a miss table that was created by 'mlx5hws_table_set_default_miss' API function, its miss_tbl keeps the table that points to it in a list. If such table is deleted, we need to also remove it from the miss_tbl list, otherwise the node in miss_tbl list will contain garbage.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: remove stale rcu_barrier() in br_multicast_dev_del() This rcu_barrier() came from a time call_rcu() calls were used in net/bridge/br_multicast.c. Now kfree_rcu() is there, we can remove this problematic rcu_barrier() which causes extreme RTNL pressure in many syzbot reports. • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: don't WARN on WoWLAN suspend w/o netdetect Clearly, from a user perspeCVE-2026-98874 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: don't WARN on WoWLAN suspend w/o netdetect Clearly, from a user perspective, it must be valid to configure WoWLAN and then suspend while not connected to a network. Since mac80211 doesn't distinguish these cases and simply calls the driver to suspend whenever WoWLAN is configured, the driver has to cleanly handle the case where it's called for WoWLAN, it's not connected but there's also no netdetect configured. Remove the WARN_ON() and keep returning 1 to disconnect and then suspend.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_expect: zero at allocation time There are occasional LLM hints wrt. leaking uninitialized data to userspace via ctnetlink. Just zero at allocation time, expectations are not frequently used these days. Intentionally keeps _init as-is because we could theoretically support re-init, so add the missing exp->dir there.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
