In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Fix null pointer access in is_include_guest_event() A typical module unload occurring event when there is an active perf connection leads to freeing of the pmu pointer. The call log is something like: .. __pmu_detach_event pmu_detach_event pmu_detach_events perf_pmu_unregister .. __pmu_detach_event() sets event->pmu to null. When the perf connection finally is closed, the following stack trace is observed: Oops: general protection fault, kernel NULL pointer dereference ... RIP: 0010:_free_event+0x3e/0x370 ... Call Trace: ... perf_event_release_kernel+0x260/0x2d0 perf_release+0x12/0x20 A call to mediated_pmu_unaccount_event() inside _free_event() is the root cause of this crash. Adding a check inside is_include_guest_event() ensures we don't accidentally access a null pmu ptr. In addition to this, we will now call mediated_pmu_unaccount_event() before clearing the pmu ptr so that nr_include_guest_events counts are maintained correctly.

  • Oct 6, 2026A flaw was found in the OIDC implementation of Keycloak, specifically within the Device Authorization Grant flow.CVE-2026-105305 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.4

A flaw was found in the OIDC implementation of Keycloak, specifically within the Device Authorization Grant flow. This component allows devices with limited input capabilities to obtain security tokens. The issue occurs because the flow fails to check the minimum authentication level required by a client configuration. This allows an attacker who has stolen a user's password to bypass mandatory multi-factor authentication and gain unauthorized access to the Keycloak Admin REST API.

CWE-306: Missing Authentication for Critical Function in the ait.core.server telemetry and command broker (ait-server) in NASA-AMMOS AIT-Core through 3.1.1 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker with network access to the ZeroMQ message bus to inject spacecraft command data, exfiltrate command and telemetry traffic, inject forged telemetry, or disrupt the command and telemetry bus. The ait-server ZeroMQ broker binds its XSUB and XPUB sockets to all network interfaces by default without authentication or transport security. An attacker able to reach TCP port 5559 can publish messages onto internal topics, including the __commands__ command topic. With the shipped default configuration, command messages are forwarded through command_stream and emitted on the command-uplink UDP path. An attacker able to reach TCP port 5560 can subscribe to command and telemetry traffic on the ground bus. AIT-Core 3.1.2 changes the default ZeroMQ bind addresses to loopback.

  • Oct 3, 2026Alt Text AI – Automatically generate image alt text for SEO and accessibility: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-91108 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Alt Text AI – Automatically generate image alt text for SEO and accessibility plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.10.41. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite the post_content of any post or page on the site — including content they do not own — with LLM-generated text influenced by attacker-controlled keywords, enabling black-hat SEO manipulation and unauthorized consumption of the site owner's paid AltText.ai API credits. The nonce required to invoke the action is emitted on every admin page including /wp-admin/profile.php, which is accessible to Subscribers, making the nonce trivially obtainable by any authenticated user.

  • Oct 2, 2026The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user.CVE-2026-104055 · Other software · Canonical · reported by security@ubuntu.comMedium 5.3

The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user. On database connection errors, the exporter writes the monitoring user's password in cleartext to its logs. Any actor able to read those logs can recover the password, which grants read-only pg_monitor access to PostgreSQL. This is fixed in the dev track (14/edge) in revisions 1189 (arm64) and 1190 (amd64), and in the stable track (14/stable) in revisions 1216 (arm64) and 1217 (amd64).

Kasa EC70 v4 and EC71 v4 do not logically disable the production debug interface at the firmware or chip level and do not lock the bootloader.  Although the debug traces are physically severed during manufacturing, an attacker with physical access can restore the connection, interrupt the boot process, and manipulate boot parameters to enter a non-standard initialization path that exposes an unauthenticated root shell during startup. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker with physical access to obtain root-level command access during device startup, resulting in loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability for the affected device. Exploitation requires device disassembly, restoration of the severed debug connection, and manipulation of the boot process.

Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CWE-306) in the product cache revalidation Server Action (src/app/actions.ts, revalidateProducts) in MarcosCamara01 Ecommerce Template before commit ec97209 allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to force expiration of the entire storefront product cache at will. The file declares "use server" at file scope, so every exported function compiles into a POST-invokable Server Action; revalidateProducts calls updateTag("products") with no session or role check, unlike the read-only actions in the same file which are safe by construction. Two client components under src/components/admin import the function, which causes its Server Action id to be compiled into a public /_next/static chunk that the application's admin middleware (proxy.ts) does not gate, so any unauthenticated user can extract that id from the public bundle and invoke the action directly. With cacheComponents enabled, the entire storefront (home, categories, product pages, search) is served from "use cache" entries produced by getAllProducts, getCategoryProducts and getProduct, all tagged products with an hours-long cacheLife. Path traversal in the btrfs storage driver in Canonical LXD versions 4.0.2 and later (fixed in 4.0.14, 5.0.10, 5.21.8 and 6.10) on Linux allows an authenticated client with permission to create instances in a project to delete arbitrary files on the host as root. On hosts whose root filesystem is btrfs, the client can also place attacker-controlled content at arbitrary host paths, leading to full host compromise. The client does this with a crafted subvolume path containing ../ sequences, sent in either of two ways: in the optimized_header.yaml of an optimized btrfs backup, or in the btrfs migration header sent by a malicious migration source.

Missing Authentication for Critical Function in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to persistently change a site-global configuration value (the frontpage weblog selection) on any installed instance, because the setup action remains anonymously reachable after installation and persists configuration without an authorization check. No optional feature or non-default configuration is required; the result can redirect or break the site's public frontpage, with administrative recovery available. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Roller 6.1.6 or later, which restricts the write to global administrators.

OpenClaw's Matrix integration (npm package @openclaw/matrix) versions >= 2026.2.2 and < 2026.8.1 lowercase complete Matrix user IDs — including historical localparts and the case-sensitive server-name portion — when deriving the OpenClaw authorization identity. As a result, distinct authenticated Matrix accounts can normalize to the same authorization identity. A Matrix participant controlling a colliding account identifier (a protocol-valid identifier that differs from the configured one only by characters OpenClaw case/Unicode folds; display-name matching is not required) can inherit allowlist, owner-command, exec-approval, or plugin-approval authority configured for another account. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: platform: Use acpi_bus_get_primary_device() The acpi_get_first_physical_node() usage in acpi_platform_fill_resource() and acpi_create_platform_device() is generally unsafe because in theory the device returned by it may be freed at any time [1]. It is also inefficient because acpi_get_first_physical_node() is called multiple times for the same argument which can be avoided. Address these issues by using acpi_bus_get_primary_device() instead of acpi_get_first_physical_node() and adjusting the code to call it just once at the beginning of and acpi_create_platform_device() and drop the device reference acquired by it upon the return from that function.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject untrusted allocated-object pointers When the final RCU read-side critical sectCVE-2026-98037 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject untrusted allocated-object pointers When the final RCU read-side critical section ends, a local kptr is demoted to PTR_UNTRUSTED but retains MEM_ALLOC. The pointer may be NULL or may refer to an object whose lifetime is no longer protected. type_is_ptr_alloc_obj() nevertheless recognizes any PTR_TO_BTF_ID with MEM_ALLOC as a live allocated object. In particular, a refcount-only local kptr never carries NON_OWN_REF, so it still passes the bpf_refcount_acquire() argument check after RCU protection ends. The kfunc can then dereference NULL or stale memory. Make type_is_ptr_alloc_obj() reject PTR_UNTRUSTED pointers. Since type_is_non_owning_ref() is based on the same predicate, graph kfunc arguments obey the same live-object requirement. Fault-protected reads of the demoted pointer remain valid: writes are already rejected, and read fixups use bpf_may_fault_on_deref() rather than this predicate. [ kkd: Rewrote commit log ]

Improperly Controlled Modification of Dynamically-Determined Object Attributes vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a user to set the value of a private action argument on the bulk destroy and bulk update paths. Action arguments declared with public?: false are meant to be set only by trusted server-side code (for example via Ash.Changeset.set_private_argument/3) and must not be settable from end-user input. CVE-2026-55736 fixed the non-bulk changeset path to strip private arguments from user-supplied parameter maps, but the bulk destroy and bulk update paths were not covered. Ash.Actions.Destroy.Bulk.base_changeset/5 and Ash.Actions.Update.Bulk.base_changeset/5 match every key in the caller-supplied parameter map against all of the action's arguments with no public? check, then apply the matches to the base changeset. A caller who can submit parameters to a bulk destroy or bulk update action (for example through AshJsonApi, AshGraphql, or a controller that forwards request parameters to Ash.bulk_destroy/4 or Ash.bulk_update/4) can therefore set any private argument of that action, including one referenced by an arg(...) template in the action's changes or validations.
