  • Aug 18, 2026Trilium Notes is a cross-platform, hierarchical note taking application focused on building large personal knowledge bases.CVE-2026-45733 · Other software · TriliumNext · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

Trilium Notes is a cross-platform, hierarchical note taking application focused on building large personal knowledge bases. Prior to 0.103.0, the #iconClass label value is returned raw by getNoteIcon() and inserted without HTML attribute encoding into class attributes in apps/client/src/widgets/quick_search.ts and apps/client/src/services/note_autocomplete.ts, allowing a stored payload to execute automatically when a victim opens a new tab or uses Ctrl+J and, because Electron enables nodeIntegration and disables contextIsolation, run operating-system commands as the victim. This issue is fixed in version 0.103.0.

  • Aug 15, 2026Pandora contains a denial-of-service vulnerability in its handling of DAA (Direct Access Archive) files.CVE-2026-74767 · Other software · pandora-analysis · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 8.7

Pandora contains a denial-of-service vulnerability in its handling of DAA (Direct Access Archive) files. When extracting the internal ISO image from a DAA archive, compressed chunks were decompressed using zlib.decompress() without enforcing a limit on the resulting uncompressed data. An attacker able to submit a crafted DAA file containing highly compressed data could cause Pandora to decompress a relatively small input into a very large amount of data in memory. Because the decompressed chunks are accumulated to construct the internal ISO image, this could result in excessive memory consumption and potentially CPU exhaustion, causing the extraction worker to become unresponsive, terminate, or affect the availability of the Pandora service. The patch introduces bounded decompression using decompressobj().decompress() with max_extracted_filesize, verifies the cumulative size of decompressed chunks, and raises a dedicated ZipBomb exception when the configured limit is exceeded. Pandora then aborts extraction and reports the file as too large.

  • Aug 15, 2026Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its TAR archive extraction functionality.CVE-2026-74764 · Other software · pandora-analysis · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 10

Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its TAR archive extraction functionality. When processing a submitted TAR archive, the extractor passed archive member names directly to Python's tarfile.TarFile.extract() without applying an extraction filter. An attacker able to submit a specially crafted TAR archive containing malicious member paths, such as paths using ../ sequences or absolute paths, could cause extracted files to be written outside the intended extraction directory. This may allow the attacker to overwrite files accessible to the Pandora worker process and could potentially result in application compromise, arbitrary code execution, or denial of service depending on the files targeted and the privileges of the Pandora process. The vulnerability is corrected by using Python's filter='data' extraction filter, which rejects or sanitizes dangerous TAR members, including paths that escape the destination directory and unsafe link targets. The weakness corresponds to MITRE's general path traversal category, which includes archive extraction cases where attacker-controlled filenames cause files to be written outside the intended directory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: dma-axi-dmac: use DMA pool to manange DMA descriptor For architectures like Microblaze or arm64 (where this IP is used), DMA_DIRECT_REMAP is set which means that dma_alloc_coherent() might remap (and hence vmalloc()) some memory. This became visible in a design where dma_direct_use_pool() is not possible. With the above, when calling dma_free_coherent(), vunmap() would be called from softirq context and thus leading to a BUG(). To fix it, use a dma pool that is allocated in .device_alloc_chan_resources() and allocate blocks from it. The key point is that now dma_pool_free() is used in axi_dmac_free_desc() to free the blocks and that just frees the blocks from the pool in the sense they can be used again. In other words, no actual call to dma_free_coherent() happens. That only happens when destroying the pool in axi_dmac_free_chan_resources() which does not happen in any interrupt context.

  • Aug 13, 2026jupyterlab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture.CVE-2026-73417 · Other software · jupyterlab · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

jupyterlab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From 3.3.0 until 4.5.10 and 4.6.2, JupyterLab allows notebook settings to be shared and applied through an overrides.json file using the Import button in the Settings Editor. In packages/notebook-extension/schema/tracker.json and packages/notebook-extension/src/index.ts, the sideBySideLeftMarginOverride and sideBySideRightMarginOverride settings are not properly validated before being inserted into style content, allowing a crafted settings file to contain instructions that execute as code instead of only changing display preferences. A user can import the malicious file, or an attacker with access to a shared settings location can plant an overrides.json that is applied automatically. The embedded code runs with the affected user's access and can read or modify notebooks and files and run code through the notebook server, including on a connected kernel. This issue is fixed in versions 4.5.10 and 4.6.2.

  • Aug 13, 2026jupyterlab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture.CVE-2026-73416 · Other software · jupyterlab · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

jupyterlab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From 4.5.0 until 4.5.10 and 4.6.2, in jupyterlab/extensions/manager.py and jupyterlab/extensions/pypi.py, JupyterLab's PyPI extension manager enforces blocked_extensions_uris by comparing requested install names to blocklist entries with custom normalization that is weaker than PyPI package-name canonicalization. An authenticated user can request a PyPI-equivalent spelling such as JupyterLab.Git for a blocklisted package such as jupyterlab-git, and JupyterLab accepts the install request even though pip resolves the variant to the same package. Security impact requires an allowlist or blocklist intended to restrict package installation, the PyPI Extension Manager, and kernels and terminals that are disabled or delegated to remote hosts. The bypass lets an authenticated user install a prohibited extension, defeat integrity restrictions, and affect availability without gaining new read access. This issue is fixed in versions 4.5.10 and 4.6.2.

node-tar is a tar archive manipulation library for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.21, node-tar's filesFilter in src/list.ts uses the recursive mapHas helper to walk an archive entry path upward with path.dirname() and no segment cap when tar.t(...) or tar.x(...) receives a non-empty member-selection list. A crafted GNU L or PAX x long-path header with thousands of slash-separated segments reaches this.filter(entry.path, entry) in Parser[CONSUMEHEADER] in src/parse.ts before Unpack[CHECKPATH] applies maxDepth, causing an uncatchable RangeError stack overflow that terminates asynchronous and streaming Node.js consumers. Multiple Use-After-Free vulnerabilities were found in the add_archive_element function in ld/ldmain.c of the GNU linker (ld), a component of binutils. The root cause is that plugin_maybe_claim() in ld/plugin.c frees the original BFD object via bfd_close/_bfd_delete_bfd when entry->the_bfd->my_archive == NULL, but the caller retains both the original abfd parameter and a shallow copy (orig_input.the_bfd) as dangling pointers. These dangling pointers are subsequently dereferenced at three distinct locations in add_archive_element: 1. Line ~1442: accessing abfd->my_archive via bfd_usrdata(abfd->my_archive) 2. • Aug 7, 2026Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox 's move archive functionality (“!ArcEntryMove”) accepts an arbitrary path, which can be set to network locations usingCVE-2026-54207 · Other software · Tobit Laboratories AG · reported by vulnerability@ncsc.chMedium 6.3

Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox 's move archive functionality (“!ArcEntryMove”) accepts an arbitrary path, which can be set to network locations using UNC paths (e.g., “\\Server\Share”). The server processes these paths without validation, resulting in outbound connection attempts to attacker-controlled SMB servers. This enables au-thenticated attackers to trigger the server to authenticate to arbitrary SMB endpoints, potentially exposing NTLM authentication information (such as NTLM hashes). If outbound connections to port 445 (SMB) are permitted, attackers can use this to conduct SMB relay or credential theft attacks. Exploitation of the “pathname” parameter is possible without authentication. This issue affects TeamDavid before Rollout 528. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse-uring: fix data races on ring->ready On weakly-ordered architectures, the store to fiq->ops can be reordered past the store to ring->ready, allowing a CPU that sees ring->ready == true via fuse_uring_ready() to dispatch requests through a stale fiq->ops pointer. Upgrade the store to smp_store_release() and the load in fuse_uring_ready() to smp_load_acquire() so that the preceding WRITE_ONCE(fiq->ops, ...) is visible to any CPU that observes ring->ready == true. Additionally, fuse_uring_do_register() publishes ring->ready with WRITE_ONCE() but the fast-path check reads it with a plain load. This is a marked-vs-unmarked access that KCSAN will flag. Wrap it in READ_ONCE() to mark it without adding unnecessary ordering. Also wrap the fc->ring load in fuse_uring_ready() in READ_ONCE() to prevent the compiler from reloading it between the NULL check and the dereference.

GitPython before 3.1.51 fails to guard against dangerous Git options passed as keyword arguments in Repo.archive() and git.ls_remote(), allowing command injection via options such as --exec/--upload-pack (leading to arbitrary command execution). Additionally, Repo.iter_commits() and Repo.blame() do not check for leading-dash revision arguments, so a revision like --output=<path> can cause Git to open and truncate an arbitrary file. Exploitation requires an application that passes attacker-controlled arguments to these methods.

Let's Chat 0.3.0 through 0.4.8 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows any authenticated user to archive any room on the server by sending a DELETE request to the rooms handler without ownership verification. • Jul 28, 2026Lookyloo did not enforce limits on the decompressed size of uploaded capture archives and compressed HAR files.CVE-2026-66913 · Other software · lookyloo · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.9

Lookyloo did not enforce limits on the decompressed size of uploaded capture archives and compressed HAR files. An attacker could submit a specially crafted ZIP, gzip, or zlib-compressed capture containing data that expands to a very large size during processing. Because the application decompressed this content directly in memory without first limiting the output size, processing the malicious capture could exhaust available memory, terminate a web or worker process, or make the Lookyloo instance unavailable. The vulnerability affects both full Lookyloo capture archive imports and API submissions containing gzip-compressed HAR data. Repeated exploitation could cause a persistent denial-of-service condition until the affected processes or instance are restarted. The patch introduces: * A 1 GB cumulative uncompressed-size limit for imported capture archives. * Size-limited gzip and zlib decompression for compressed HAR files. * Explicit detection and handling of suspected zip bombs. * An HTTP 400 response when an oversized compressed HAR file is submitted through the API.

  • Jul 27, 2026Papra is a minimalistic document management and archiving platform.CVE-2026-48052 · Other software · papra-hq · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Papra is a minimalistic document management and archiving platform. Prior to version 26.5.0, an authenticated user who is a member of any organization can delete or rename tags belonging to a different organization, given the target tag's ID. The route handler verifies the caller's membership of the ":organizationId" in the URL, but the repository write filters on tag.id alone, so the URL-level org scope never reaches the database. This issue has been patched in version 26.5.0.

  • Jul 27, 2026Papra is a minimalistic document management and archiving platform.CVE-2026-48051 · Other software · papra-hq · reported by GitHubLow 3.5

Papra is a minimalistic document management and archiving platform. Prior to version 26.5.0, Papra's webhook delivery system contains an SSRF protection bypass that allows any authenticated organisation member to cause the server to make HTTP requests to internal addresses — loopback, link-local, and RFC-1918 ranges. The SSRF protection validates the registered webhook URL but ignores redirect destinations. The HTTP client (ofetch) follows 3xx responses automatically, and the redirect target is never checked against the blocklist. An attacker registers a webhook pointing to an attacker-controlled server, which redirects incoming POSTs to any internal address. Exploitation was confirmed by live test against the official Docker image. The fix is a single-line change to the webhook HTTP client. This issue has been patched in version 26.5.0.

  • Jul 27, 2026Relative Path Traversal vulnerability in Erlang OTP (stdlib zip module) allows writing files outside the intended extraction directory via a crafted zip archiveCVE-2026-47078 · Other software · Erlang · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 4.8

Relative Path Traversal vulnerability in Erlang OTP (stdlib zip module) allows writing files outside the intended extraction directory via a crafted zip archive. zip:unzip/1,2 and zip:extract/1,2 validate entry paths using zip:check_dir_level/2, which tracks directory depth as a running integer counter: .. decrements it, normal path components increment it. The caller rejects only paths where the final counter value is less than zero. A path such as ../x/y causes the counter to go negative mid-traversal then recover to zero, passing validation while resolving to a location outside the extraction directory when joined with the current working directory via add_cwd. This vulnerability is associated with program file lib/stdlib/src/zip.erl. This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.1 before OTP 27.3.4.15, OTP 28.5.0.4, and OTP 29.0.4, corresponding to stdlib from 6.1 before 6.2.2.4, 7.3.0.1, and 8.0.3.
