  • Apr 4, 2024Livemarks is a browser extension that provides RSS feed bookmark folders.CVE-2024-30252 · Other software · nt1m · reported by GitHubLow 2.6

Livemarks is a browser extension that provides RSS feed bookmark folders. Versions of Livemarks prior to 3.7 are vulnerable to cross-site request forgery. A malicious website may be able to coerce the extension to send an authenticated GET request to an arbitrary URL. An authenticated request is a request where the cookies of the browser are sent along with the request. The `subscribe.js` script uses the first parameter from the current URL location as the URL of the RSS feed to subscribe to and checks that the RSS feed is valid XML. `subscribe.js` is accessible by an attacker website due to its use in `subscribe.html`, an HTML page that is declared as a `web_accessible_resource` in `manifest.json`. This issue may lead to `Privilege Escalation`. A CSRF breaks the integrity of servers running on a private network. A user of the browser extension may have a private server with dangerous functionality, which is assumed to be safe due to network segmentation. Upon receiving an authenticated request instantiated from an attacker, this integrity is broken. Version 3.7 fixes this issue by removing subscribe.html from `web_accessible_resources`.

  • Apr 4, 2024A vulnerability was found in the quarkus-core component.CVE-2024-2700 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7

A vulnerability was found in the quarkus-core component. Quarkus captures local environment variables from the Quarkus namespace during the application's build, therefore, running the resulting application inherits the values captured at build time. Some local environment variables may have been set by the developer or CI environment for testing purposes, such as dropping the database during application startup or trusting all TLS certificates to accept self-signed certificates. If these properties are configured using environment variables or the .env facility, they are captured into the built application, which can lead to dangerous behavior if the application does not override these values. This behavior only happens for configuration properties from the `quarkus.*` namespace. Application-specific properties are not captured.

  • Apr 2, 2024RARLAB WinRAR Mark-Of-The-Web Bypass Vulnerability.CVE-2024-30370 · Other software · RARLAB · reported by zdi-disclosures@trendmicro.comMedium 4.3

RARLAB WinRAR Mark-Of-The-Web Bypass Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass the Mark-Of-The-Web protection mechanism on affected installations of RARLAB WinRAR. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must perform a specific action on a malicious page. The specific flaw exists within the archive extraction functionality. A crafted archive entry can cause the creation of an arbitrary file without the Mark-Of-The-Web. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. Was ZDI-CAN-23156.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: fix IO hang from sbitmap wakeup race In blk_mq_mark_tag_wait(), __add_wait_queue() may be re-ordered with the following blk_mq_get_driver_tag() in case of getting driver tag failure. Then in __sbitmap_queue_wake_up(), waitqueue_active() may not observe the added waiter in blk_mq_mark_tag_wait() and wake up nothing, meantime blk_mq_mark_tag_wait() can't get driver tag successfully. This issue can be reproduced by running the following test in loop, and fio hang can be observed in < 30min when running it on my test VM in laptop. modprobe -r scsi_debug modprobe scsi_debug delay=0 dev_size_mb=4096 max_queue=1 host_max_queue=1 submit_queues=4 dev=`ls -d /sys/bus/pseudo/drivers/scsi_debug/adapter*/host*/target*/*/block/* | head -1 | xargs basename` fio --filename=/dev/"$dev" --direct=1 --rw=randrw --bs=4k --iodepth=1 \ --runtime=100 --numjobs=40 --time_based --name=test \ --ioengine=libaio Fix the issue by adding one explicit barrier in blk_mq_mark_tag_wait(), which is just fine in case of running out of tag.

  • Mar 21, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: mark set as dead when unbinding anonymous set with timeout While theCVE-2024-26643 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: mark set as dead when unbinding anonymous set with timeout While the rhashtable set gc runs asynchronously, a race allows it to collect elements from anonymous sets with timeouts while it is being released from the commit path. Mingi Cho originally reported this issue in a different path in 6.1.x with a pipapo set with low timeouts which is not possible upstream since 7395dfacfff6 ("netfilter: nf_tables: use timestamp to check for set element timeout"). Fix this by setting on the dead flag for anonymous sets to skip async gc in this case. According to 08e4c8c5919f ("netfilter: nf_tables: mark newset as dead on transaction abort"), Florian plans to accelerate abort path by releasing objects via workqueue, therefore, this sets on the dead flag for abort path too.

The attacker could control contents of email messages sent through the platform. The problem has been fixed in version 0.11.0 of this library. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
