While adding an adv monitor, hci_add_adv_monitor() calls -> msft_add_monitor_pattern() calls -> msft_add_monitor_sync() calls -> msft_le_monitor_advertisement_cb() calls in an error case -> hci_free_adv_monitor() which frees the *moniter. This is referenced by bt_dev_dbg() in hci_add_adv_monitor(). Fix the bt_dev_dbg() by using handle instead of monitor->handle.

  • Dec 8, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: release crypto keyslot before reporting I/O complete Once all I/O using a blk_crypCVE-2023-53810 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-mq: release crypto keyslot before reporting I/O complete Once all I/O using a blk_crypto_key has completed, filesystems can call blk_crypto_evict_key(). However, the block layer currently doesn't call blk_crypto_put_keyslot() until the request is being freed, which happens after upper layers have been told (via bio_endio()) the I/O has completed. This causes a race condition where blk_crypto_evict_key() can see 'slot_refs != 0' without there being an actual bug. This makes __blk_crypto_evict_key() hit the 'WARN_ON_ONCE(atomic_read(&slot->slot_refs) != 0)' and return without doing anything, eventually causing a use-after-free in blk_crypto_reprogram_all_keys(). (This is a very rare bug and has only been seen when per-file keys are being used with fscrypt.) There are two options to fix this: either release the keyslot before bio_endio() is called on the request's last bio, or make __blk_crypto_evict_key() ignore slot_refs. Let's go with the first solution, since it preserves the ability to report bugs (via WARN_ON_ONCE) where a key is evicted while still in-use.

  • Dec 7, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-usb: fix memory leak in dvb_usb_adapter_init() Syzbot reports a memory leak in CVE-2022-50626 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-usb: fix memory leak in dvb_usb_adapter_init() Syzbot reports a memory leak in "dvb_usb_adapter_init()". The leak is due to not accounting for and freeing current iteration's adapter->priv in case of an error. Currently if an error occurs, it will exit before incrementing "num_adapters_initalized", which is used as a reference counter to free all adap->priv in "dvb_usb_adapter_exit()". There are multiple error paths that can exit from before incrementing the counter. Including the error handling paths for "dvb_usb_adapter_stream_init()", "dvb_usb_adapter_dvb_init()" and "dvb_usb_adapter_frontend_init()" within "dvb_usb_adapter_init()". This means that in case of an error in any of these functions the current iteration is not accounted for and the current iteration's adap->priv is not freed. Fix this by freeing the current iteration's adap->priv in the "stream_init_err:" label in the error path. The rest of the (accounted for) adap->priv objects are freed in dvb_usb_adapter_exit() as expected using the num_adapters_initalized variable. • Dec 7, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: fix use-after-free due to MST port state bypass syzbot reported[1] a use-afteCVE-2025-40297 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: fix use-after-free due to MST port state bypass syzbot reported[1] a use-after-free when deleting an expired fdb. It is due to a race condition between learning still happening and a port being deleted, after all its fdbs have been flushed. The port's state has been toggled to disabled so no learning should happen at that time, but if we have MST enabled, it will bypass the port's state, that together with VLAN filtering disabled can lead to fdb learning at a time when it shouldn't happen while the port is being deleted. VLAN filtering must be disabled because we flush the port VLANs when it's being deleted which will stop learning. This fix adds a check for the port's vlan group which is initialized to NULL when the port is getting deleted, that avoids the port state bypass. When MST is enabled there would be a minimal new overhead in the fast-path because the port's vlan group pointer is cache-hot. [1] https://syzkaller.appspot.com/bug?extid=dd280197f0f7ab3917be

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix crafted invalid cases for encoded extents Robert recently reported two corrupted images that can cause system crashes, which are related to the new encoded extents introduced in Linux 6.15: - The first one [1] has plen != 0 (e.g. plen == 0x2000000) but (plen & Z_EROFS_EXTENT_PLEN_MASK) == 0. It is used to represent special extents such as sparse extents (!EROFS_MAP_MAPPED), but previously only plen == 0 was handled; - The second one [2] has pa 0xffffffffffdcffed and plen 0xb4000, then "cur [0xfffffffffffff000] += bvec.bv_len [0x1000]" in "} while ((cur += bvec.bv_len) < end);" wraps around, causing an out-of-bound access of pcl->compressed_bvecs[] in z_erofs_submit_queue(). EROFS only supports 48-bit physical block addresses (up to 1EiB for 4k blocks), so add a sanity check to enforce this.

  • Dec 4, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: fix lock inversion in vsock_assign_transport() Syzbot reported a potential lock invCVE-2025-40231 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock: fix lock inversion in vsock_assign_transport() Syzbot reported a potential lock inversion deadlock between vsock_register_mutex and sk_lock-AF_VSOCK when vsock_linger() is called. The issue was introduced by commit 687aa0c5581b ("vsock: Fix transport_* TOCTOU") which added vsock_register_mutex locking in vsock_assign_transport() around the transport->release() call, that can call vsock_linger(). vsock_assign_transport() can be called with sk_lock held. vsock_linger() calls sk_wait_event() that temporarily releases and re-acquires sk_lock. During this window, if another thread hold vsock_register_mutex while trying to acquire sk_lock, a circular dependency is created. Fix this by releasing vsock_register_mutex before calling transport->release() and vsock_deassign_transport(). This is safe because we don't need to hold vsock_register_mutex while releasing the old transport, and we ensure the new transport won't disappear by obtaining a module reference first via try_module_get().

  • Nov 25, 2025FACTION is a PenTesting Report Generation and Collaboration Framework.CVE-2025-66022 · Other software · factionsecurity · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

FACTION is a PenTesting Report Generation and Collaboration Framework. Prior to version 1.7.1, an extension execution path in Faction’s extension framework permits untrusted extension code to execute arbitrary system commands on the server when a lifecycle hook is invoked, resulting in remote code execution (RCE) on the host running Faction. Due to a missing authentication check on the /portal/AppStoreDashboard endpoint, an attacker can access the extension management UI and upload a malicious extension without any authentication, making this vulnerability exploitable by unauthenticated users. This issue has been patched in version 1.7.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: page_pool: Fix PP_MAGIC_MASK to avoid crashing on some 32-bit arches Helge reported that the introduction of PP_MAGIC_MASK let to crashes on boot on his 32-bit parisc machine. The cause of this is the mask is set too wide, so the page_pool_page_is_pp() incurs false positives which crashes the machine. Just disabling the check in page_pool_is_pp() will lead to the page_pool code itself malfunctioning; so instead of doing this, this patch changes the define for PP_DMA_INDEX_BITS to avoid mistaking arbitrary kernel pointers for page_pool-tagged pages. The fix relies on the kernel pointers that alias with the pp_magic field always being above PAGE_OFFSET. With this assumption, we can use the lowest bit of the value of PAGE_OFFSET as the upper bound of the PP_DMA_INDEX_MASK, which should avoid the false positives. Because we cannot rely on PAGE_OFFSET always being a compile-time constant, nor on it always being >0, we fall back to disabling the dma_index storage when there are not enough bits available. This leaves us in the situation we were in before the patch in the Fixes tag, but only on a subset of architectur
