In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: fix an incorrect limit in filelayout_decode_layout() The "sizeof(struct nfs_fh)" is two bytes too large and could lead to memory corruption. It should be NFS_MAXFHSIZE because that's the size of the ->data[] buffer. I reversed the size of the arguments to put the variable on the left.

Mar 20, 2024Coming Soon, Under Construction & Maintenance Mode By Dazzler: Maintenance mode bypassCVE-2024-1181 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Coming Soon, Under Construction & Maintenance Mode By Dazzler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to maintenance mode bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.2. This is due to the plugin relying on the REQUEST_URI to determine if the page being accesses is an admin area. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to bypass maintenance mode and access the site which may be considered confidential when in maintenance mode.

Mar 19, 2024Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js.CVE-2024-29027 · Other software · parse-community · reported by GitHubCritical 9
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 6.5.5 and 7.0.0-alpha.29, calling an invalid Parse Server Cloud Function name or Cloud Job name crashes the server and may allow for code injection, internal store manipulation or remote code execution. The patch in versions 6.5.5 and 7.0.0-alpha.29 added string sanitation for Cloud Function name and Cloud Job name. As a workaround, sanitize the Cloud Function name and Cloud Job name before it reaches Parse Server.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/dbgfs: protect targets destructions with kdamond_lock DAMON debugfs interface iterates current monitoring targets in 'dbgfs_target_ids_read()' while holding the corresponding 'kdamond_lock'. However, it also destructs the monitoring targets in 'dbgfs_before_terminate()' without holding the lock. This can result in a use_after_free bug. This commit avoids the race by protecting the destruction with the corresponding 'kdamond_lock'.

Feb 28, 2024Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2024-1586 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the custom schema in all versions up to, and including, 1.26 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Feb 28, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: gadget: Free gadget structure only after freeing endpoints As part of commit e8CVE-2021-46986 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: gadget: Free gadget structure only after freeing endpoints As part of commit e81a7018d93a ("usb: dwc3: allocate gadget structure dynamically") the dwc3_gadget_release() was added which will free the dwc->gadget structure upon the device's removal when usb_del_gadget_udc() is called in dwc3_gadget_exit(). However, simply freeing the gadget results a dangling pointer situation: the endpoints created in dwc3_gadget_init_endpoints() have their dep->endpoint.ep_list members chained off the list_head anchored at dwc->gadget->ep_list. Thus when dwc->gadget is freed, the first dwc3_ep in the list now has a dangling prev pointer and likewise for the next pointer of the dwc3_ep at the tail of the list. The dwc3_gadget_free_endpoints() that follows will result in a use-after-free when it calls list_del(). This was caught by enabling KASAN and performing a driver unbind. The recent commit 568262bf5492 ("usb: dwc3: core: Add shutdown callback for dwc3") also exposes this as a panic during shutdown. There are a few possibilities to fix this. One could be to perform a list_del() of the gadget->ep_list itself whi

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/dbgfs: fix 'struct pid' leaks in 'dbgfs_target_ids_write()' DAMON debugfs interface increases the reference counts of 'struct pid's for targets from the 'target_ids' file write callback ('dbgfs_target_ids_write()'), but decreases the counts only in DAMON monitoring termination callback ('dbgfs_before_terminate()'). Therefore, when 'target_ids' file is repeatedly written without DAMON monitoring start/termination, the reference count is not decreased and therefore memory for the 'struct pid' cannot be freed. This commit fixes this issue by decreasing the reference counts when 'target_ids' is written.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parisc: Clear stale IIR value on instruction access rights trap When a trap 7 (Instruction access rights) occurs, this means the CPU couldn't execute an instruction due to missing execute permissions on the memory region. In this case it seems the CPU didn't even fetched the instruction from memory and thus did not store it in the cr19 (IIR) register before calling the trap handler. So, the trap handler will find some random old stale value in cr19. This patch simply overwrites the stale IIR value with a constant magic "bad food" value (0xbaadf00d), in the hope people don't start to try to understand the various random IIR values in trap 7 dumps.

An Improper Handling of Syntactically Invalid Structure vulnerability in Object Flooding Protocol (OFP) service of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). On all Junos OS Evolved platforms, when specific TCP packets are received on an open OFP port, the OFP crashes leading to a restart of Routine Engine (RE). Continuous receipt of these specific TCP packets will lead to a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved * All versions earlier than 21.2R3-S7-EVO; * 21.3 versions earlier than 21.3R3-S5-EVO ; * 21.4 versions earlier than 21.4R3-S5-EVO; * 22.1 versions earlier than 22.1R3-S4-EVO; * 22.2 versions earlier than 22.2R3-S3-EVO ; * 22.3 versions earlier than 22.3R3-EVO; * 22.4 versions earlier than 22.4R2-EVO, 22.4R3-EVO.

Jan 11, 2024A flaw was found in the blkgs destruction path in block/blk-cgroup.c in the Linux kernel, leading to a cgroup blkio memory leakage problem.CVE-2024-0443 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5
A flaw was found in the blkgs destruction path in block/blk-cgroup.c in the Linux kernel, leading to a cgroup blkio memory leakage problem. When a cgroup is being destroyed, cgroup_rstat_flush() is only called at css_release_work_fn(), which is called when the blkcg reference count reaches 0. This circular dependency will prevent blkcg and some blkgs from being freed after they are made offline. This issue may allow an attacker with a local access to cause system instability, such as an out of memory error.
