Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rpcrdma: arm rn_done before publishing the notification rpcrdma_rn_register() inserts @rn CVE-2026-89798 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rpcrdma: arm rn_done before publishing the notification rpcrdma_rn_register() inserts @rn into rd_xa with xa_alloc() before storing the caller's callback in rn->rn_done. The xarray makes @rn reachable to rpcrdma_remove_one(), which walks rd_xa and invokes rn->rn_done(rn) for every registered notification. A device removal that races a fresh registration can therefore observe @rn with rn_done still NULL, because the notification objects are zero allocated by their owners, and call through a NULL function pointer. Store rn->rn_done before xa_alloc() publishes @rn. The xarray's store-side and load-side ordering then guarantees that any CPU which finds @rn in rd_xa also observes the armed callback. rpcrdma_rn_unregister() treats a non-NULL rn_done as the sentinel for a completed registration, so the early store must not survive a failed registration. Clear rn_done again when xa_alloc() fails. Were it left set, the failed-accept cleanup path would call rpcrdma_rn_unregister() on an @rn that was never inserted, erasing an unrelated rd_xa slot and underflowing rd_kref.

Sep 14, 2026Insufficient HTML sanitization in the Publisher Portal and Developer Portal allows untrusted user input to be rendered without proper encoding or neutralizationCVE-2026-4103 · Other software · WSO2 · reported by ed10eef1-636d-4fbe-9993-6890dfa878f8Medium 6.4
Insufficient HTML sanitization in the Publisher Portal and Developer Portal allows untrusted user input to be rendered without proper encoding or neutralization. This enables the injection and execution of malicious JavaScript when affected API documents are viewed. Successful exploitation may result in the execution of malicious scripts within the user's browser context when viewing API documentation. Users with permissions to access the API documentation through these portals may be impacted, potentially allowing attackers to perform actions on behalf of the user, depending on their session privileges.

Sep 14, 2026Publishing limits the compressed size of a VSIX (ovsx.publishing.max-content-size, 512 MB by default) but nothing limited how large an entry becomes when openedCVE-2026-89321 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgMedium 4.3
Publishing limits the compressed size of a VSIX (ovsx.publishing.max-content-size, 512 MB by default) but nothing limited how large an entry becomes when opened. On the first request to /vscode/unpkg/{namespace}/{extension}/{version}/{path}, WebResourceService opened the entry with ZipFile.getInputStream() and passed the decompressed stream to Files.copy(), which ran to the end of the stream without counting bytes written. The result was cached under java.io.tmpdir, and that cache evicted by entry count (150), not by size, so it placed no bound on disk usage. A publisher with access only to their own namespace could therefore upload a small, highly compressible VSIX and cause the server to write far larger files to the temp filesystem — repeating with different files or versions, since a repeat request is served from the cache. Impact observed: the temp filesystem filled; requests for files not already cached returned 500 with No space left on device; a failed extraction left a partial cache file that blocked later attempts at that path; publishing failed with Failed to read extension file. Metadata and already-cached files kept working, and the server did not stop.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: imx: serialize imx_uart_ports[] lifetime imx_uart_probe() publishes its devm-allocCVE-2026-89740 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: imx: serialize imx_uart_ports[] lifetime imx_uart_probe() publishes its devm-allocated port in imx_uart_ports[] before uart_add_one_port() because console setup uses the table. The entry is not cleared when adding the port fails or after removal, leaving a dangling pointer. A sibling probe can register the shared console through that stale entry. This was reproduced under KASAN on QEMU mcimx6ul-evk by unbinding a sibling UART, unbinding the console UART and rebinding the sibling. Keep the entry valid through uart_remove_one_port(), then clear it. Protect port addition and removal together with their table updates so sibling operations cannot interleave. Reject an occupied slot rather than clobbering an active port during a duplicate-line probe.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lockd, nfsd: RCU-protect nlmsvc_ops dispatch nlmsvc_ops is published by nfsd_lockd_init() and cleared by nfsd_lockd_shutdown() with plain stores, while lockd dereferences it unguarded from dispatch sites in fs/lockd/svcsubs.c. The pointer targets nfsd's .rodata and the fopen/fclose callbacks live in nfsd's .text, so a stale load after rmmod nfsd results in either a NULL deref or a module-text use-after-free. Declare nlmsvc_ops as __rcu, publish via rcu_assign_pointer(), clear via RCU_INIT_POINTER() + synchronize_rcu(). Add a struct module *owner field to nlmsvc_binding and pin the module across indirect calls with try_module_get/module_put. When the binding is torn down, fall back to fput() to avoid leaking struct file references.

Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix cpntf publish race in nfs4_init_cp_state nfs4_alloc_init_cpntf_state() publishedCVE-2026-89684 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix cpntf publish race in nfs4_init_cp_state nfs4_alloc_init_cpntf_state() published the new cpntf entry into the s2s_cp_stateids IDR (with cs_type set) in one s2s_cp_lock section, then took the lock again to list_add() it onto p_stid->sc_cp_list. In the gap the entry is reachable by so_id but cp_list is still {NULL,NULL} from kzalloc. A racing OFFLOAD_CANCEL (so_id is echoed to the client as cnr_stateid, so any NFSv4.2 client can drive it) reaches manage_cpntf_state() -> _free_cpntf_state_locked() and does list_del() on the zeroed list_head, oopsing the server. Fold the cs_type assignment and the list_add() into the same critical section as idr_alloc_cyclic(), so a concurrent lookup either misses the entry or sees a fully linked cp_list. INIT_LIST_HEAD() the entry after allocation and switch _free_cpntf_state_locked() to list_del_init() so a stale unlink is a no-op. nfs4_init_copy_state() passes NULL p_stid and skips the list_add, preserving NFS4_COPY_STID semantics.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: initialize copy-notify stateid before publishing it nfsd4_copy_notify() finished initializing the cpntf state after nfs4_alloc_init_cpntf_state() had already linked it into the s2s_cp_stateids IDR and the parent's sc_cp_list, with cs_count == 1 (the membership reference) and none held for the caller. A racing OFFLOAD_CANCEL (crafted cl_id == nn->s2s_cp_cl_id plus the guessable so_id) could reach manage_cpntf_state() and free the entry, turning the caller's subsequent cpn_cnr_stateid read and cp_p_stateid/cp_p_clid writes into use-after-free. The owning clientid was also only recorded after publication, so it could not gate an ownership check in that window. Record cp_p_stateid and cp_p_clid inside nfs4_alloc_init_cpntf_state() before nfs4_init_cp_state() publishes the entry, and return it with an extra reference. The caller reads the stateid under that reference and drops it with nfs4_put_cpntf_state(); on a late error the laundromat reaps the entry.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: init gssp_lock before publishing proc entry create_use_gss_proxy_proc_entry() publishes /proc/net/rpc/use-gss-proxy via proc_create_data() before init_gssp_clnt() runs mutex_init() on sn->gssp_lock. Once the dentry is linked under proc_subdir_lock it is immediately reachable from userspace, so a write that lands in the window drives set_gssp_clnt() into mutex_lock() on a zero-initialized struct mutex. create_use_gss_proxy_proc_entry(net) proc_create_data("use-gss-proxy", ...) /* dentry live */ init_gssp_clnt(sn) mutex_init(&sn->gssp_lock) /* too late */ write_gssp() set_gssp_clnt(net) mutex_lock(&sn->gssp_lock) /* uninitialized */ gssp_rpc_create(...) sn->gssp_clnt = clnt mutex_unlock(&sn->gssp_lock) The window spans only the two statements between proc_create_data() returning and init_gssp_clnt(), so a writer reaches it only if the registering thread is preempted there while another task is already opening the freshly published file. register_pernet_subsys() runs in preemptible context under pernet_ops_rwsem,

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mfd: qnap-mcu: keep the reply buffer alive past a command timeout qnap_mcu_exec() publishes an on-stack buffer to the receive path: unsigned char rx[QNAP_MCU_RX_BUFFER_SIZE]; ... reply->data = rx; reply->length = length; and qnap_mcu_receive_buf() writes into it from the serdev receive path, which runs out of flush_to_ldisc() and is not serialized against qnap_mcu_exec() at all. bus_lock cannot cover it, because qnap_mcu_exec() holds that mutex across wait_for_completion_timeout(). On a timeout qnap_mcu_exec() returns with reply->data still pointing at its own frame. A reply that arrives late, or an unsolicited message from the MCU, is then written into a stack frame that has been left, corrupting whatever runs next on that stack. The same applies when qnap_mcu_write() fails, since that path returns without touching the reply state either. Move the receive buffer into struct qnap_mcu. It is 37 bytes and the structure is devm_kzalloc()ed, so it lives as long as the driver, and a late write lands in memory that is still valid and is reinitialized by the next command. bus_lock keeps commands from sharing it.

Sep 9, 2026PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-75927 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.50.0. This is due to the `addPluginCapabilities()` function unconditionally granting the Editor role all 15 `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities — including `manage_capabilities`, `manage_capabilities_roles`, `manage_capabilities_settings`, and `manage_capabilities_backup` — via a hard-coded `$eligible_roles = ['administrator', 'editor']` assignment that runs automatically on the first `admin_init` after plugin activation with no administrator opt-in, persisting the grants directly to the database. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Editor-level access to elevate their privileges to a site-wide capability manager, enabling them to create, rename, and delete non-system roles, modify capabilities of non-administrator roles, restore role backups, and write arbitrary plugin options whose names begin with `cme_`, `capsman`, `pp_capabilities`, or `presspermit` via `update_option()`. The escalation stops short of full Administrator access, as WordPress's `map_meta_cap` la

In the current development version of Eclipse aeriOS, for which no official release has yet been published, the Identity Manager (IdM) deployment included insecure default configurations and credentials for security-sensitive services. The Helm chart exposed the Keycloak service and its PostgreSQL backing database through Kubernetes NodePort services by default, while the Docker Compose deployment similarly exposed PostgreSQL on all network interfaces. The deployment included fixed default credentials for the Keycloak administrator and PostgreSQL database user, and the previous Helm chart configuration did not provide adequate secret management for these credentials. In addition, predefined application users with known credentials were provided for development and testing without sufficiently warning operators against their use in production environments. An attacker able to reach the exposed services could use the published default credentials to obtain administrative access to the Identity Manager or direct access to its database. This could allow unauthorized access to or modification of identity-management data, including users, roles, client credentials, sessions, and

Sep 7, 2026Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project usage_rules allows a malicious package publisher to inject terminal cCVE-2026-82710 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.3
Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project usage_rules allows a malicious package publisher to inject terminal control sequences into the output of mix usage_rules.search_docs. mix usage_rules.search_docs searches Hex documentation through search.hexdocs.pm, which indexes the documentation of every published package, and prints the matching results (title, package, type, doc reference, and highlighted snippets) to the terminal. The formatter in Mix.Tasks.UsageRules.SearchDocs interpolated those publisher-controlled fields verbatim, neutralizing no terminal control characters; the only transform it applied adds escape sequences rather than removing them. A malicious package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) in its indexed documentation, so when a developer runs a search that surfaces those docs the sequences reach the terminal unchanged — forging the displayed hexdocs URL or a suggested command, hiding text, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package. This issue affects usage_rules: from 0.

Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project igniter allows a malicious package publisher to forge the mix igniter.install confirmation prompt. mix igniter.install prints a confirmation panel (an anti-typosquatting safeguard) listing a package's hex metadata before adding it. The panel builder in Igniter.Project.Deps wrote publisher-controlled fields (meta.description, owner usernames, requirement names, version) to the terminal with only newlines stripped. A malicious or typosquatted package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns) in its metadata to overwrite the panel, forging trusted author names and download counts while concealing the real ones, so a developer relying on the panel to vet the package is deceived into approving a malicious dependency. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mshv: Order pt_vp_array publish against irqfd assertion path mshv_partition_ioctl_create_vp() initialises a VP struct (allocations, mutex_init, init_waitqueue_head, page mappings) and then publishes the pointer into partition->pt_vp_array. Several ISR paths read this array locklessly: the intercept ISR, the two scheduler ISRs, and mshv_try_assert_irq_fast() on the irqfd fast path. Of these, only mshv_try_assert_irq_fast() can structurally race the publish. It runs from an eventfd waker without holding pt_mutex, and MSHV_IRQFD does not require the target lapic_apic_id (== vp_index) to refer to an existing VP at registration time. A user can therefore register an irqfd targeting a yet-to-be-created VP, then trigger mshv_try_assert_irq_fast() concurrently with MSHV_CREATE_VP for the same index. On weakly-ordered architectures the reader can observe a non-NULL pointer in pt_vp_array before the initialising stores to the VP struct become visible, leading to use of partially-initialised fields (e.g. vp_register_page). The other ISR readers cannot reach this race: the hypervisor will not generate intercept or sche

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse: publish io-uring queues with release semantics fuse_uring_create_queue() initializes a fuse_ring_queue and then publishes the pointer into ring->queues[qid] with WRITE_ONCE() under the fch->lock. There are several readers that may concurrently be fetching that pointer locklessly and then deferencing it. WRITE_ONCE() doesn't ensure ordering of the queue's field initialization before the ring->queues[qid] pointer assignment. The queue must be published with smp_store_release() so the field initialization is guaranteed to happen before. Readers in paths where the read may happen concurrently with the store need to use READ_ONCE() because any race involving a plain access is undefined.
