  • Aug 16, 2026The The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerableCVE-2026-18385 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4

The The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 4.16.19. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes. The partial mitigation introduced via strip_shortcodes() on [profile-first-name] and [profile-last-name] can be bypassed through the [profile-display-name format="first_last_names"] render path, the [profile-bio] render path (which re-fetches the raw description meta), and the double-bracket escape sequence [[tag]], all of which allow attacker-controlled shortcode text to reach the outer do_shortcode() call.

Affects up to 4.16.19. Update the plugin to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.
  • Aug 15, 2026Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-19598 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Authorization Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.9. The vulnerability exists because the pods_admin AJAX router funnels every access check — including the method allowlist, nonce verification, login enforcement, and capability gate — through pods_error(), which under the JSON meta-box-loader compatibility path only writes failures to the PHP error log and returns false instead of terminating the request, rendering all guards ineffective. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to escalate their privileges to Administrator or overwrite the password of any user account, including the site owner's, enabling complete site takeover, or perform another administrator action.

  • Aug 12, 2026Draft List is a WordPress plugin to manage and promote unpublished content.CVE-2026-49466 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Draft List is a WordPress plugin to manage and promote unpublished content. Versions 2.6.3 and below are vulnerable to stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in the `[drafts]` shortcode and Draft List widget when the documented custom `template` option places the `{{draft}}` placeholder inside an HTML attribute. The vulnerable code inserts the raw draft `post_title` into `{{draft}}` when the current viewer cannot edit posts. Because the template is sanitized before `{{draft}}` replacement, a Contributor can store a quote-only title payload that breaks out of an attribute in a site-configured Draft List template and executes JavaScript for visitors who load the public page. Version 2.6.4 fixes the issue.

    What to do
Update the plugin to the newest version.

  • Aug 8, 2026AI Engine: Does not confine a caller-supplied file path before reading it and forwarding the contents to an external serviceCVE-2026-16955 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanMedium 5

The AI Engine WordPress plugin before 3.6.6 does not confine a caller-supplied file path before reading it and forwarding the contents to an external service, allowing users with a subscriber-level account to read arbitrary files from the server and exfiltrate them off-host. Reaching the issue at subscriber level requires a non-default public API feature to be enabled; otherwise the same issue is reachable by an administrator, which on multisite allows a non-super subsite administrator to read the network-shared configuration and its secrets.

  • Aug 8, 2026AI Copilot – Content Generator: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-14526 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8

The AI Copilot – Content Generator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.6. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create a new administrator-level user account and achieve full site takeover by saving and executing a malicious workflow containing a wp_create_user action node specifying role=administrator. This vulnerability is exploitable by unauthenticated attackers on any site where the [aiwu-form] shortcode or public chatbot is rendered on a frontend page, as the waic-nonce value is emitted into publicly accessible JavaScript (WAIC_DATA.waicNonce) on those pages, rendering the nonce check a non-functional authorization barrier.

  • Aug 7, 2026The Code Embed WordPress plugin prior to version 2.6.1 is vulnerable to stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the external URL embed feature in post contentCVE-2026-48093 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

The Code Embed WordPress plugin prior to version 2.6.1 is vulnerable to stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) through the external URL embed feature in post content. The vulnerable code scans rendered content for URL embed tokens, fetches the remote URL, and inserts the remote response body into the page without output sanitization or an `unfiltered_html` capability check. This allows a Contributor attacker to submit a pending post containing an inert-looking URL token that executes attacker-controlled JavaScript when an Administrator or Editor previews or reviews the post. This is distinct from CVE-2026-2512, which affected custom field meta values up to version 2.5.1. This vector affects version 2.6 and uses the documented external URL embed feature in post content. This particular issue is patched in version 2.6.1.

    What to do
Update the plugin to the newest version.

  • Aug 5, 2026Content Egg – Affiliate Product Importer & Price Comparison: Arbitrary File DeletionCVE-2026-15979 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Content Egg – Affiliate Product Importer & Price Comparison plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Deletion via Path Traversal in versions up to and including 11.3.0. This is due to insufficient validation of the 'img_file' field within the cegg_data post metadata: the value passes only through wp_strip_all_tags() (which does not strip path traversal sequences), is stored directly in post meta, and is later concatenated without normalization into a filesystem path in getFullImgPath() before being passed to PHP's unlink(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.

  • Aug 5, 2026The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account tCVE-2026-9273 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.3

The Membership Plugin – Kadence Memberships plugin for WordPress (formerly Restrict Content) is vulnerable to password reset link poisoning leading to account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.0. This is due to the legacy lost-password handler rc_process_lost_password_form() consuming the attacker-controlled rc_redirect POST parameter into two unvalidated sinks in legacy/includes/forms.php: wp_redirect( esc_url( $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) . ... ) at line 243, and add_query_arg( array( 'key' => $key, 'login' => ... ), $_POST['rc_redirect'] ) inside rc_send_password_reset_email() at line 306. The nonce required to reach the handler is broadcast by the public [login_form] shortcode at line 207 to any anonymous visitor. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to issue a password-reset request for any account (including administrators) whose reset email body points the victim at an attacker-controlled host carrying a valid reset key/login. When the victim clicks the link, the reset key leaks to the attacker, who can replay it against the legitimate site to complete account takeover.

  • Jul 24, 2026Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content: Does not consistently enforce the role restriction configured on its front-end registration role-selection fieldCVE-2026-12497 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WPScanHigh 7.5

The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content WordPress plugin before 4.16.18 does not consistently enforce the role restriction configured on its front-end registration role-selection field. The set of roles offered to the visitor and the set of roles the registration handler accepts are derived by two different parsers, and for some valid ways of configuring the offered roles the handler ignores the restriction and falls back to accepting any non-administrator role. Combined with the absence of a nonce on the public registration handler, this allows an unauthenticated visitor to register an account with a higher role, such as Editor or Author, than the form was configured to offer.

  • Jul 23, 2026AI Copilot – Content Generator: Generic SQL InjectionCVE-2026-13009 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The AI Copilot – Content Generator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via 'order[0][dir]' Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.4 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The required waic-nonce is emitted on the front-end whenever the [waic_form] or [aiwu-form] shortcode is rendered, enabling contributor-level users who can publish shortcodes to obtain a valid nonce and reach the vulnerable AJAX handler, which performs no capability check beyond nonce verification when the shortcodes are not already embedded in a page.

The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 4.16.18 via the allowed_mime_types function. This is due to the unconditional registration of an upload_mimes filter that adds executable file extensions (.exe, .apk, .msi) to the global WordPress MIME allowlist, without scoping the expansion to digital-product upload contexts. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. This filter is registered globally on every request regardless of whether the digital products feature is configured or in use, meaning the expanded MIME allowlist affects all WordPress upload contexts site-wide.
