  • Oct 19, 2026The OSDP Control Panel reply parser cp_decode_response() in subsys/mgmt/osdp/src/osdp_cp.c decodes replies from a Peripheral Device into a stack-allocated strucCVE-2026-76788 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.8

    The OSDP Control Panel reply parser cp_decode_response() in subsys/mgmt/osdp/src/osdp_cp.c decodes replies from a Peripheral Device into a stack-allocated struct osdp_event. For the REPLY_KEYPPAD and REPLY_RAW reply types, the payload length is taken from the received frame and the only validation performed is that the declared length is self-consistent with the number of payload bytes present in the frame. Because the attacker controls both the length field and the frame length, that check imposes no bound, and the subsequent memcpy() writes into the fixed 64-byte data arrays of struct osdp_event_keypress / struct osdp_event_cardread (OSDP_EVENT_MAX_DATALEN). The sibling REPLY_FMT handler in the same switch already carried the missing > OSDP_EVENT_MAX_DATALEN bound. The defect is reached from cp_process_reply(), which reads bytes from the OSDP RS-485 channel and passes them through osdp_phy_check_packet() and osdp_phy_decode_packet() before dispatching on the reply ID. Triggering it requires CONFIG_OSDP with CONFIG_OSDP_MODE_CP and an application event callback registered (the normal Control Panel integration), plus a frame carrying a correct SOM, a valid CRC-16, and a matching 2

  • Oct 19, 2026Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl allow stack exhaustion via nested tagged values under allow_tags in decode_tag.CVE-2026-110673 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

    Cpanel::JSON::XS versions before 4.80 for Perl allow stack exhaustion via nested tagged values under allow_tags in decode_tag. With allow_tags, "(" starts a tagged value. Its tag and value are decoded recursively, and each can start another tagged value. Unlike arrays and objects, this nesting is not counted against max_depth. A run of "(" bytes exhausts the C stack and triggers an uncatchable segmentation fault regardless of max_depth.

    Tapo C320WS V2.0 contains an authenticated stack-based buffer overflow in the local onboarding Wi-Fi configuration path. An authenticated attacker on the adjacent network can submit a crafted request containing an oversized encrypted password field, overwrite stack state, and execute commands with root privileges. Successful exploitation may allow an authenticated adjacent-network attacker to take control of the affected camera, modify camera behavior, access sensitive local configuration, and disrupt device availability.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject non-negative offsets in stack_slot_obj_get_spi() bpf_get_spi() computes (-off - 1) / BPF_REG_SIZE using C division, which truncates toward zero. For off == 0, this produces spi 0, the same index used by the valid stack slot at fp-8. stack_slot_obj_get_spi() currently checks alignment and the resulting spi bounds, but does not reject the non-negative offset itself. It can therefore validate a PTR_TO_STACK register holding fp+0 against an iterator stored at fp-8 even though the runtime receives the actual fp+0 pointer. An effectful iterator kfunc can then interpret memory outside the BPF stack as iterator state. Reject non-negative offsets before converting the offset to an spi. All valid stack objects begin at a negative offset from the frame pointer.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: fix potential stack infoleak in em_text_dump() em_text_dump() allocates struct tcf_em_text on the stack without zeroing it. strscpy() writes the algorithm name and a NUL terminator into conf.algo[], leaving the remaining bytes uninitialised. nla_put_nohdr() then copies the full struct to the netlink response. KMSAN on Linux 7.2-rc6 reports two kernel-infoleak splats from this path, one triggered via "tc filter show" and one via a raw RTM_GETTFILTER dump: BUG: KMSAN: kernel-infoleak in _copy_to_iter+0x1c9/0x2620 nla_put_nohdr+0x83/0x130 em_text_dump+0x291/0x550 Local variable conf created at: em_text_dump+0x5d/0x550 Bytes 168-179 of 199 are uninitialized I am not certain whether this constitutes a real security problem in practice: the test was conducted in a controlled KMSAN environment and the leaked stack bytes may or may not carry sensitive data on actual production kernels. I am reporting it because KMSAN flagged it as a kernel-infoleak and the fix is straightforward. I can provide a userspace reproducer on request. This may leak the kernel stack contents. Make gpio_desc_to_lineinfo() return int so that the -ENODEV returned on failure to acquire the guard can be propagated to the callers. • Oct 16, 2026libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-95859 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

    libp2p-rust is the official Rust language implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 0.49.5, Gossipsub GRAFT control-message handling unconditionally adds attacker-supplied topic hashes to connected_peer.topics without confirming that the peer previously subscribed to those topics. A remote unauthenticated peer that can reach a Gossipsub listener can repeatedly send novel GRAFT topics, causing cumulative per-peer memory growth that is not bounded by subscription filters, peer scoring, or per-message size limits. This can exhaust process memory and cause a denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.49.5.

  • Oct 15, 2026libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack.CVE-2026-103936 · Other software · libp2p · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

    libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to 6.0.28, the @libp2p/webrtc webRTCDirect() Node.js listener processes unauthenticated STUN Binding Requests before PeerId authentication, Noise, muxing, protocol negotiation, connection creation, or connection-manager admission. The listener in packages/transport-webrtc/src/private-to-public/utils/stun-listener.ts forwards the packet-controlled request.ufrag into DirectRTCPeerConnection.setLocalDescription, where the value is reused as an ICE password without validating its required length and character set. A short credential causes node-datachannel or libdatachannel to raise an uncaught native invalid_argument and abort the process with SIGABRT, allowing a single remote UDP packet to deny service. The confirmed impact is process termination only, with no demonstrated memory corruption, code execution, browser impact, confidentiality impact, integrity impact, or connection-limit bypass. This issue is fixed in version 6.0.28.
