  • Aug 26, 2026Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-5092 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Greenshift – animation and page builder blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the customapi action handler in versions up to, and including, 12.8.9. This is due to insufficient sanitization of API responses before output via innerHTML. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses the injected page.

  • Aug 24, 2026A flaw was found in CRI-O's container-creation environment-variable handling (`mergeEnvs` in `server/utils.go`, consumed by `setupContainerEnvironmentAndWorkdirCVE-2026-17113 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6

A flaw was found in CRI-O's container-creation environment-variable handling (`mergeEnvs` in `server/utils.go`, consumed by `setupContainerEnvironmentAndWorkdir` in `server/container_create.go`). When a `CreateContainer` request supplies a `nil` CRI `Envs` field, CRI-O falls back to using the target OCI image's `config.Env` entries unfiltered, in contrast to the normal merge path, which validates each entry for a `key=value` form before use. An OCI image whose `config.Env` contains an entry with no `=` character (e.g. a bare `NOEQUALS` string) causes CRI-O to split that entry into a single-element slice and then index its second element, which is out of range. This triggers an unrecovered Go runtime panic in the `crio` daemon process, crashing it and terminating the container-runtime service for all workloads on the node until it is restarted.

  • Aug 22, 2026GreenShift – Animation and Page Builder Blocks: Unauthorized modification of dataCVE-2026-5093 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The GreenShift – Animation and Page Builder Blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data in versions up to, and including, 12.8.9. This is due to a missing capability check on the 'gspb_update_global_wp_settings' function that only verifies the 'edit_posts' capability instead of requiring administrative privileges. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to modify global WordPress theme color settings site-wide, leading to site defacement.

FakeFish handles incoming credentials by passing them down to scripts. This works for real hardware because in the end it's up to the BMC to validate them. However, KubeVirt relies on a KUBECONFIG file mounted to the container and completely ignores the credentials. This allows any user of the cluster to control VMs of the user that created fakefish, power them on and off, and mount arbitrary CD images to them.

  • Aug 17, 2026A flaw was found in the maas-api and maas-controller ServiceAccounts within Red Hat OpenShift AI.CVE-2026-15218 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.9

A flaw was found in the maas-api and maas-controller ServiceAccounts within Red Hat OpenShift AI. These ServiceAccounts are granted cluster-wide permissions that exceed their operational requirements. An attacker who compromises the identity of these ServiceAccounts, either through a remote code execution vulnerability or by creating a malicious pod in the same namespace, could exploit these excessive permissions. This could lead to full cluster administrator privileges through the creation of new ClusterRoleBindings or the disclosure of sensitive information by accessing all secrets across the cluster.

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_u32: validate offshift to prevent shift-out-of-bounds u32_change() copies tCVE-2026-74544 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: cls_u32: validate offshift to prevent shift-out-of-bounds u32_change() copies the user-provided tc_u32_sel.offshift (unsigned char, 0-255) into the kernel knode object without bounds validation. When a packet later hits u32_classify() with TC_U32_VAROFFSET set, it evaluates `ntohs(offmask & *data) >> offshift` where the left operand is a 16-bit value promoted to a 32-bit int. Any offshift >= 32 is undefined behavior per C11 6.5.7p3, triggerable by an unprivileged user via user/network namespaces. UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in net/sched/cls_u32.c:236:43 shift exponent 32 is too large for 32-bit type int Fix this by rejecting offshift >= 16 during filter creation in u32_change().

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mlx5: Fix undefined shift of user RQ WQE size set_rq_size() computes the RQ WQE size CVE-2026-74297 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mlx5: Fix undefined shift of user RQ WQE size set_rq_size() computes the RQ WQE size as "1 << rq_wqe_shift" based on the user-provided rq_wqe_shift, which is only checked to be greater than 32, so shifts of 32 are still accepted. A shift of 31 also overflows a signed integer, leading to undefined behavior. Use check_shl_overflow() to compute the RQ WQE size and reject any invalid values.

  • Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: host: max3421: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in max3421_hub_control() The `max3421_hub_contCVE-2026-72483 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: host: max3421: Fix shift-out-of-bounds in max3421_hub_control() The `max3421_hub_control()` function handles USB hub class requests to the virtual root hub. In the `default` branches of both the `ClearPortFeature` and `SetPortFeature` switch statements, it modifies `max3421_hcd->port_status` by left shifting 1 by the request's `value` parameter. However, it does not validate whether this shift will exceed the width of `port_status`. So if a malicious userspace task with access to the root hub via /dev/bus/usb/.../001 issues a USBDEVFS_CONTROL ioctl with `wValue` greater than or equal to 32, the left shift operation invokes shift-out-of-bounds undefined behavior. This results in arbitrary bit corruption of `port_status`, including the normally-immutable change bits, which can bypass internal state checks and confuse the hub status. Fix this by rejecting requests whose `value` exceeds the shift width before performing the shift. This issue was found using a KLEE-based symbolic execution tool for kernel drivers that I'm currently developing.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: xt_connmark: reject invalid shift parameters Revision 2 of the CONNMARK target accepts user-controlled shift parameters and applies them to 32-bit mark values in connmark_tg_shift(). A shift_bits value of 32 or more triggers an undefined-shift bug when the rule is evaluated. Invalid shift_dir values are also accepted and silently fall back to the left-shift path. Reject invalid revision-2 shift parameters in connmark_tg_check() so malformed rules fail at installation time, before they can reach the packet path.

A namespace editor can exploit a vulnerability in the spec.database.customExtraParams field, which allows for the injection of dangerous parameters into the MySQL Data Source Name (DSN) string. By manipulating these parameters, an attacker can enable LOCAL INFILE functionality and exfiltrate sensitive files, such as the service account token, from the operator pod. This can lead to privilege escalation, allowing a namespace editor to gain cluster-admin privileges.

  • Aug 10, 2026A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator.CVE-2026-18611 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to derive sensitive credentials, such as MariaDB root/user passwords and MinIO access/secret keys, if they can access the MinIO Route or MariaDB Service. The flaw occurs because the operator uses a cryptographically weak pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) to generate these credentials, making them predictable. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to all pipeline artifacts and metadata, resulting in significant information disclosure.

  • Aug 10, 2026A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator (DSPO).CVE-2026-18608 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.7

A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator (DSPO). The operator's ClusterRole, which defines its permissions, includes extensive privileges beyond what is necessary for its operation. These excessive permissions, such as the ability to execute commands within pods and manage cluster-wide roles, could be exploited. If the DSPO pod were compromised, an attacker could leverage these privileges to gain full administrative control over the entire Kubernetes cluster.

  • Aug 10, 2026A flaw was found in the MaaS API.CVE-2026-14450 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.9

A flaw was found in the MaaS API. This vulnerability allows any pod within the cluster to bypass the Kuadrant AuthPolicy gateway by forging HTTP headers, specifically `X-MaaS-Username` and `X-MaaS-Group`, which are trusted verbatim. This lack of first-party authentication enables an attacker to gain unauthorized access and escalate privileges. The concrete consequences include the ability to mint Kubernetes ServiceAccount tokens in other tenants' namespaces, revoke API keys, and exfiltrate sensitive model access configuration.

A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-proxy. On paths configured to bypass authentication (skip-auth-regex), the proxy forwards client-supplied identity headers (X-Forwarded-User, X-Forwarded-Email, X-Forwarded-Access-Token) to the upstream application without stripping them. An unauthenticated attacker can inject forged identity headers on whitelisted paths.

A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-proxy. The proxy sets authenticated identity headers using only dash-variant keys (X-Forwarded-User) but does not strip underscore-variant keys (X_Forwarded_User) from incoming requests. WSGI and PHP frameworks normalize both variants to the same variable, allowing an authenticated low-privilege user to smuggle a forged identity that may override the legitimate authenticated identity in the upstream application.

  • Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix dst corruption in same register operation For lshift and rshift,CVE-2026-64006 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: fix dst corruption in same register operation For lshift and rshift, the shift operations are performed in a loop over 32-bit words. The loop calculates the shifted value and write it to dst, and then immediately reads from src to calculate the carry for the next iteration. Because src and dst could point to the same memory location, the carry is incorrectly calculated using the newly modified dst value instead of the original src value. Adding a temporary local variable to cache the original value before writing to dst and using it for the carry calculation solves the problem. In addition, partial overlap is rejected from control plane for all kind of operations including byteorder. This was tested with the following bytecode: table test_table ip flags 0 use 1 handle 1 ip test_table test_chain use 3 type filter hook input prio 0 policy accept packets 0 bytes 0 flags 1 ip test_table test_chain 2 [ immediate reg 1 0x44332211 0x88776655 ] [ bitwise reg 1 = ( reg 1 << 0x08000000 ) ] [ cmp eq reg 1 0x66443322 0x00887766 ] [ counter pkts 0 bytes 0 ] ip test_table test_chain 4 3 [ imme
