Aug 16, 2026Frontend Admin by DynamiApps: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-18432 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Frontend Admin by DynamiApps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.29.9. The vulnerability exists because `ActionUser::conditions_logic()` gates the `current_user_can('edit_user', $user_id)` authorization check behind an `is_numeric()` test, causing the check to be skipped entirely when `$user_id` is a non-numeric string — a condition that can be induced by passing a crafted value such as `1one` through the unvalidated `item_id` parameter of the unauthenticated `wp_ajax_nopriv_frontend_admin/forms/change_form` AJAX endpoint. This makes it possible for attackers to escalate privileges to administrator by obtaining a server-signed `_acf_objects` payload carrying the non-numeric user ID, which WordPress subsequently coerces to integer 1 (the default administrator), allowing the attacker to overwrite that account's password or email address. Exploitation by unauthenticated users requires a public-facing frontend user form to be configured; in all other cases a subscriber-level account is sufficient.

Aug 15, 2026Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-19598 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Pods – Custom Content Types and Fields plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Authorization Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.9. The vulnerability exists because the pods_admin AJAX router funnels every access check — including the method allowlist, nonce verification, login enforcement, and capability gate — through pods_error(), which under the JSON meta-box-loader compatibility path only writes failures to the PHP error log and returns false instead of terminating the request, rendering all guards ineffective. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to escalate their privileges to Administrator or overwrite the password of any user account, including the site owner's, enabling complete site takeover, or perform another administrator action.

Aug 15, 2026Real Estate Manager Pro: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15142 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The Real Estate Manager Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 12.8.6. This is due to improper capability handling in the allow_attachment_actions() function, which can treat a target user ID as a media attachment ID during user capability checks. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to edit an administrator account and escalate their privileges to Administrator when the targeted user ID matches the ID of an existing media attachment.

Aug 15, 2026Wholesale Market: Privilege escalationCVE-2026-14279 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Wholesale Market plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in versions up to, and including, 2.2.2 via the ced_wholesale_request_send AJAX action. The ced_wholesale_request_send_callback() handler only verifies a nonce (which is exposed to any authenticated user through wp_localize_script on the frontend) and that the caller has a positive user ID, then calls WP_User::add_role() with the client-supplied role_required POST parameter without restricting the value to an allowlist of wholesale roles. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to Administrator when the site administrator has enabled the 'Assigning requested role directly' option.

Aug 14, 2026Propovoice: All-in-One Client Management System: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15312 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Propovoice: All-in-One Client Management System plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.8. This is due to the `create()` function's REST endpoint failing to validate the user-supplied `role` parameter against an allowlist of permitted WordPress roles and omitting any `promote_users` capability check before passing the sanitized value directly to `WP_User::set_role()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with `ndpv_manager`-level access and above to create a new WordPress user account with the `administrator` role assigned, achieving full vertical privilege escalation. The `ndpv_manager` capability is a sub-administrator CRM team role granted by Propovoice itself, meaning the attack surface extends beyond site administrators to any user the plugin has elevated to a manager position.

Aug 14, 2026bLoyal: Loyalty & Promotions by bLoyal: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15001 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The bLoyal: Loyalty & Promotions by bLoyal plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.611.78. This is due to the AJAX actions `save_bloyal_configuration_data` and `save_bloyal_accesskeyverification_data` being registered without any capability or nonce checks, and the `bloyal_customer_auto_login` function unconditionally trusting the `Customer.ExternalId` value returned by whichever API URL is stored in the plugin's options. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite the plugin's bLoyal Loyalty Engine API URL (`bloyal_custom_loyaltyengine_api_url`) and the `is_bloyal_custom_api_url` flag via the unprotected AJAX actions, then trigger the unauthenticated `/cart` REST route to cause `bloyal_customer_auto_login` to fetch customer data from an attacker-controlled endpoint and call `wp_set_auth_cookie()` with an attacker-supplied `Customer.ExternalId`, thereby authenticating as any WordPress user including the site Administrator.

Aug 5, 2026Dokan: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-8761 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Dokan plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 5.0.1. This is due to a missing authorization check in the `CustomersController` REST controller (`includes/REST/CustomersController.php`), which re-registers WooCommerce's customer CRUD routes under the `/dokan/v1/customers/` namespace and replaces WooCommerce's native `manage_woocommerce` capability check with a vendor-only check that inspects the **requesting** user's role and never validates the **target** user. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Vendor/Seller-level access and above to read, modify, or delete any WordPress user — including administrators — via `GET`/`PUT`/`DELETE` requests against `/wp-json/dokan/v1/customers/{id}`. Setting the `password` parameter on an administrator's record yields a full site takeover.

Aug 5, 2026Smart Popup by Supsystic: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-18322 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Smart Popup by Supsystic plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.12.0. This is due to a permission map collision in the `havePermissions()` function in `classes/frame.php`, where `array_merge()` overwrites the popup module's administrator-restricted method list with the base controller's value, silently removing `save` from protected actions; this is compounded by the subscription confirmation email embedding the same generic `pps_nonce` that the unauthenticated `wp_ajax_nopriv_save` endpoint accepts, and by the complete absence of any server-side role allowlist in `createWpSubscriber()`. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to submit a crafted POST request to `admin-ajax.php` using a nonce obtained from a public subscription confirmation email, setting `params[tpl][sub_wp_create_user_role]` to `administrator` via the exposed `popupControllerPps::save()` action, and then triggering the stored confirmation flow to create a persistent WordPress Administrator account with attacker-chosen credentials.

Aug 1, 2026Pronamic Pay: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-16635 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Pronamic Pay plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 10.1.0 This is due to the `maybe_update_user_role()` function passing an attacker-controlled Gravity Forms field value (`$lead[$feed->user_role_field_id]`) directly into `WP_User::set_role()` without any allowlist validation, capability comparison, or permission check to constrain which roles can be assigned. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to escalate their own WordPress account to Administrator by tampering with the role field value in a form submission. Exploitation requires that an administrator has already configured a Pronamic Pay payment feed in Gravity Forms with the **Update User Role** option enabled and mapped to a form field; once that configuration is in place, no further preconditions exist to prevent an authenticated attacker from exploiting this vulnerability.

Jul 31, 2026Subscriptions for WooCommerce: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15414 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 2.0.0. This is due to the `save_meta_boxes()` function persisting the `_wps_plan_user_role` membership plan meta from `$_POST` without an allowlist that excludes privileged roles — the only validations applied, `sanitize_key()` and `wp_roles()->is_role()`, both accept `'administrator'` as a valid value, and the UI's `disabled` attribute on the role dropdown is a client-side-only control trivially bypassed via DevTools or a direct POST request; additionally, because the `wps_membership_plan` custom post type is registered with `capability_type => 'post'`, any user who can edit posts satisfies the `current_user_can('edit_post', $post_id)` guard in `save_meta_boxes()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to escalate their privileges to Administrator by storing `'administrator'` as the role granted on membership acquisition, which the Pro companion plugin then applies via `add_role()` during membership lifecycle events. Successful exploitation requires the Subscriptions for WooCommerce Pro companion plugi

Jul 28, 2026Wholesale for WooCommerce: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-12144 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Wholesale for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.5. This is due to the `save_requests_meta()` function applying only `sanitize_text_field()` to the `user_role_set` POST parameter before passing it directly to `WP_User::add_role()`, with no allowlist validation against permitted wholesale roles and no capability check such as `current_user_can('promote_users')` or `current_user_can('manage_options')`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with author-level access and above to escalate their privileges to administrator by supplying `administrator` as the `user_role_set` value in a crafted request. The function is gated only by a nonce (`request_user_role_nonce`) that is rendered in the meta box on the `wwp_requests` post edit screen; because the post type is registered with `capability_type => 'post'`, any author-level user who has authored a `wwp_requests` post — such as one created via the wholesale registration form — can access this nonce and submit the role-assignment request.

Jul 28, 2026WP Password Policy: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15992 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The WP Password Policy plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to and including 3.7.1. This is due to missing authorization checks and nonce verification in the `get_user()` function of the `Module_Password_Hint` class, which unconditionally calls `WP_User::set_role()` with the attacker-supplied `role` parameter on any account resolved via `$_POST['user_login']`, without confirming the requesting user holds the capability to assign roles. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to escalate their own privileges to Administrator by submitting a crafted POST request — with `action` set to `createuser` and `role` set to `administrator` — to the password-reset form endpoint. The vulnerable code path is reachable via the `password_hint` filter hooked during the WordPress password-reset form render, meaning an attacker need only possess a valid password-reset cookie to reach the sink.

The Eazy Plugin Manager – Powerful Plugin Management Solution for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.4.1. This is due to insufficient authorization on the `wp_ajax_pos_get_option` AJAX handler, which verifies only a nonce that is localized to every logged-in admin-area user via `admin_enqueue_scripts` — without any capability check — before returning the value of any arbitrary WordPress option via `get_option()`, combined with the `admin_login_endpoint_handler` REST endpoint (`GET /wp-json/epm/v1/admin/login`) being registered as publicly accessible and authenticating callers solely by a whirlpool hash of values stored in those same options. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to read the `site_url`, `connection_key`, and `remote_user_id` values stored in the `eazywp_connecting_info` and `eazywp_connection` options, compute the required `auth_key`, call the `admin/login` REST endpoint to obtain Administrator authentication cookies, and fully take over the site. Jul 23, 2026MDJM Event Management: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15017 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The MDJM Event Management plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.8.4. This is due to missing capability checks and nonce verification in the `MDJM_Permissions::set_permissions()` and `MDJM_Employee_Manager::init()` functions, combined with the absence of server-side allow-list validation on the `employee_roles[]` and `new_role` POST parameters before they are passed to `mdjm_set_employee_role()` and `WP_User::set_role()`. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to grant arbitrary MDJM capabilities — including `mdjm_employee` and `mdjm_employee_edit` — to any registered WordPress role, and subsequently leverage a subscriber-level account to escalate privileges to Administrator. `MDJM_Permissions::init()` is registered on the public WordPress `init` hook without any authentication gate, meaning the role-manipulation endpoint is reachable without any prior login.

Jul 21, 2026Easy Form Builder by WhiteStudio: Unauthenticated Privilege Escalation to AdministratorCVE-2026-13439 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Easy Form Builder by WhiteStudio plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthenticated Privilege Escalation to Administrator in versions up to, and including, 4.0.11 This is due to the password recovery flow using the publicly-visible session identifier ('sid') as the password reset token stored in wp_emsfb_temp_links, combined with a publicly-accessible nonce refresh endpoint (Emsfb/v1/nonce/refresh) that issues valid WordPress REST nonces to unauthenticated visitors. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to reset the password of any WordPress user — including administrators — by scraping the public sid from a published login form page, submitting a recovery request for any known user email via Emsfb/v1/forms/message/add, and then calling Emsfb/v1/forms/recovery/efb_set_password with the known sid to set an arbitrary new password and gain full administrator access.

Jul 16, 2026Bricksforge: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14956 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The Bricksforge plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.8.6. This is due to improper validation of the fieldIds parameter in the Pro Forms registration action, which allows attacker-supplied field IDs to be added to the trusted form-field whitelist. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a new administrator account by submitting a crafted request to a publicly accessible Bricksforge Pro Forms registration form. Successful exploitation requires that the site has a public Bricksforge Pro Forms element configured with the User Registration action.

Jul 16, 2026WPFunnels – Funnel Builder for WooCommerce with Checkout & One Click Upsell: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-15103 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The WPFunnels – Funnel Builder for WooCommerce with Checkout & One Click Upsell plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via arbitrary option update in all versions up to, and including, 3.12.8. This is due to the `update_settings()` REST callback failing to validate the `group_id` path parameter against an allowlist of permitted option names before passing it directly to `get_option()` and `update_option()`, allowing the built-in `wp_user_roles` option — which satisfies the route's loose `[\w-]+` regex — to be targeted. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with the `wpf_manage_funnels` capability and above to elevate their privileges to administrator by writing a crafted role definition containing arbitrary capabilities into the `wp_user_roles` option, thereby granting any WordPress role full site administrator access. The `wpf_manage_funnels` capability is typically assigned to the Funnel Manager custom role created by the plugin, meaning this role is the minimum required to exploit the vulnerability.

The Digits: WordPress Mobile Number Signup and Login plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 9.1.0.5. This is due to missing authorization and role validation in the `dig_update_wpwc_custom_fields()` function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to escalate their privileges to Administrator by submitting a forged `digits_reg_userrole` value during profile update, granted the site administrator has configured the built-in DIGITS User Role field.

Jul 11, 2026Simple JWT Login – Allows you to use JWT on REST endpoints.: Authentication Bypass to Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14262 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Simple JWT Login – Allows you to use JWT on REST endpoints. plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.6 via the `payload` parameter. The vulnerability exists because `AuthenticateService::generatePayload()` only overwrites JWT payload keys whose names appear in the admin-configured `jwt_payload` list — leaving any attacker-supplied identity claims such as `email`, `id`, or `username` intact and signed into the JWT with the site's HS256 secret. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to escalate their privileges to that of an Administrator by injecting a target administrator's email address into the `payload` parameter at the `/wp-json/simple-jwt-login/v1/auth` endpoint, then redeeming the resulting JWT at the `/autologin` endpoint to obtain a fully authenticated session as that administrator.

The Themehunk Login Registration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in versions up to, and including, 1.0.2. Jul 8, 2026多说社会化评论框: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-14482 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The 多说社会化评论框 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.2. The vulnerability exists due to a missing capability and nonce check on a directly web-accessible API endpoint, combined with a trivially forgeable HMAC-SHA1 signature keyed on an always-empty WordPress option, which allows the endpoint's `update_option` handler to pass attacker-controlled `option` and `value` parameters directly to WordPress's `update_option` function without any allowlist or sanitization. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to update arbitrary WordPress options — such as setting `default_role` to `administrator` and enabling open registration — and subsequently register an account with full administrator privileges.

The Dokan Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via update_capabilities REST Endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 5.0.4. This is due to the `update_capabilities()` REST handler accepting arbitrary capability strings from the request body and passing them directly to WP_User::add_cap() with no allowlist validation, only verifying that the caller holds the dokandar capability.
