Jun 6, 2026MapPress Maps for: Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled KeyCVE-2026-8839 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The MapPress Maps for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key in all versions up to, and including, 2.96.6. This is due to missing ownership verification in the REST API routes registered via `Mappress_Api::rest_api_init()`, where the GET `/wp-json/mapp/v1/maps/{mapid}` endpoint uses `'permission_callback' => '__return_true'` and the write endpoints (POST update, DELETE, PATCH mutate, POST clone, POST empty_trash) only check the generic `edit_posts` capability without confirming that the requester owns the targeted map — a gap that is not compensated at the model layer, as `Mappress_Map::get()`, `save()`, `delete()`, `mutate()`, and `empty_trash()` all operate on any caller-supplied map ID without an ownership check. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read sensitive map data — including POI titles, addresses, coordinates, and body content — for any map on the site by enumerating map IDs, and for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to modify, delete, trash/restore, or clone any map regardless of its author.

May 29, 2026WP Maps Pro: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-8732 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The WP Maps Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Administrator Account Creation in all versions up to, and including, 6.1.0. This is due to the wpgmp_temp_access_ajax AJAX action being registered with wp_ajax_nopriv_ and protected only by a nonce check using the fc-call-nonce nonce, which is publicly embedded into every frontend page via wp_localize_script as the nonce field of the wpgmp_local JavaScript object, rendering the check ineffective as an access control mechanism. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to invoke the wpgmp_temp_access_support handler with check_temp=false, which unconditionally creates a new WordPress user with the hardcoded role of administrator via wp_insert_user() and returns a magic login URL that, when visited, calls wp_set_auth_cookie() to fully authenticate the attacker as the newly created administrator, resulting in complete site takeover.

May 27, 2026MapServer is a system for developing web-based GIS applications.CVE-2026-45104 · Other software · MapServer · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
MapServer is a system for developing web-based GIS applications. From 6.4.0 to before 8.6.3, msSLDParseUserStyle always calls _SLDApplyRuleValues(psRule, psLayer, 1); for any <Rule> carrying <ElseFilter/> — it assumes msSLDParseRule added one class. When the rule has no symbolizer (a structurally valid SLD), msSLDParseRule adds zero, and _SLDApplyRuleValues ends up indexing _class[-1], resulting in a NULL pointer dereference. A 200-byte well-formed SLD via the WMS SLD_BODY= parameter is enough to trigger this, no auth required. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.6.3.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix bpf_xdp_store_bytes proto for read-only arg While making some maps in Cilium read-only from the BPF side, we noticed that the bpf_xdp_store_bytes proto is incorrect. The verifier checks the helper's memory access to R3 in check_mem_size_reg, as it reaches ARG_CONST_SIZE argument. The third argument has expected type ARG_PTR_TO_UNINIT_MEM, which includes the MEM_WRITE flag. The verifier thus checks for a BPF_WRITE access on R3. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: clamp SCO altsetting table indices btusb_work() maps the number of active SCO links to USB alternate settings through a three-entry lookup table when CVSD traffic uses transparent voice settings. The lookup currently indexes alts[] with data->sco_num - 1 without first constraining sco_num to the number of available table entries. While the table only defines alternate settings for up to three SCO links, data->sco_num comes from hci_conn_num() and is used directly. Cap the lookup to the last table entry before indexing it so the driver keeps selecting the highest supported alternate setting without reading past alts[].

Mar 11, 2026WP Maps: Time-based blind SQL InjectionCVE-2026-3222 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5
The WP Maps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based blind SQL Injection via the 'location_id' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.9.1. This is due to the plugin's database abstraction layer (`FlipperCode_Model_Base::is_column()`) treating user input wrapped in backticks as column names, bypassing the `esc_sql()` escaping function. Additionally, the `wpgmp_ajax_call` AJAX handler (registered for unauthenticated users via `wp_ajax_nopriv`) allows calling arbitrary class methods including `wpgmp_return_final_capability`, which passes the unsanitized `location_id` GET parameter directly to a database query. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: make decode_pool() more resilient against corrupted osdmaps If the osdmap is (maliciously) corrupted such that the encoded length of ceph_pg_pool envelope is less than what is expected for a particular encoding version, out-of-bounds reads may ensue because the only bounds check that is there is based on that length value. This patch adds explicit bounds checks for each field that is decoded or skipped.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Free special fields when update [lru_,]percpu_hash maps As [lru_,]percpu_hash maps support BPF_KPTR_{REF,PERCPU}, missing calls to 'bpf_obj_free_fields()' in 'pcpu_copy_value()' could cause the memory referenced by BPF_KPTR_{REF,PERCPU} fields to be held until the map gets freed. Fix this by calling 'bpf_obj_free_fields()' after 'copy_map_value[,_long]()' in 'pcpu_copy_value()'.

Dec 24, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: fix a memory leak in the LRU and LRU_PERCPU hash maps The LRU and LRU_PERCPU maps allCVE-2023-54033 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: fix a memory leak in the LRU and LRU_PERCPU hash maps The LRU and LRU_PERCPU maps allocate a new element on update before locking the target hash table bucket. Right after that the maps try to lock the bucket. If this fails, then maps return -EBUSY to the caller without releasing the allocated element. This makes the element untracked: it doesn't belong to either of free lists, and it doesn't belong to the hash table, so can't be re-used; this eventually leads to the permanent -ENOMEM on LRU map updates, which is unexpected. Fix this by returning the element to the local free list if bucket locking fails.

The WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) in all versions up to, and including, 9.0.46. This is due to the plugin exposing state-changing REST actions through an AJAX bridge without proper CSRF token validation, and having destructive logic reachable via GET requests with no permission_callback. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to force logged-in administrators to create, update, or delete markers and geometry features via CSRF attacks, and allows anonymous users to trigger mass deletion of markers via unsafe GET requests.
